Guest Reviews
- Bindhulakshmi (8/5): -
- Rout (9/5): I look forward to coming back here on my next trip to Delhi!! - Such a lovely place, thoughtfully put together with plenty of detail. The decor gives a vintage charm and a warm cozy feeling. The terrace garden is a beautiful spot to sit, sip tea and read a book. The staff is friendly and very responsive, and the location is ideal with many places within easy reach. The space feels very welcoming. Nothing as such.
- Lucia (8/5): - B&B molto bello, caratteristico e pulito.
Buona la colazione.
- Devi (10/5): We had great time , enjoyed our stay but could not stay longer as we planned cause of hot weather . - Beautiful interior and homely . Need bit of cleaning !
- Sandra (10/5): Very comfortable, super quiet neighborhood. Walkable safe area. - I love the comfort and ease of the staff. Very accommodating, polite.i was very happy to see the same workers as my previous stay. I will definitely recommend,,
If I return again I will stay with you again. I like everything about you lovely bnb.
- Shane (8/5): - Loved the decor. It's good value for money. Staff is friendly and cooperative. Location is feasible. When we asked for early check-in and late Check-out (both 1 hr), owner was very accommodating. Decent breakfast. Property needs better ventilation and keep up. Spotted cockroach in the toilet. The linen, bedcovers were a bit damp. There was dust in the room.
- Arjanit (1/5): - The owner is very rude
- Sahas Thirunellai (8/5): -
- Helen (8/5): Very beautiful.would happily stay again - Very beautiful. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. A little far away from main areas but it was so nice and quiet.
- Lisa (10/5): - Great place, lovely decor. Very cosy. Staff were really nice and breakfast was great.
Really enjoyed staying here. Deer Park/ Hauz Khas nearby. I really enjoyed staying here and would stay again. Great value for money.

- Nida (4/5): Choose a hotel instead - This Airbnb located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, offering a serene atmosphere while still being well-positioned in South Delhi, making it easily accessible to key attractions and amenities. The location is definitely a plus for those seeking a calm environment while staying in the city. Despite the promising setting, the stay was marred by a few issues. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, which made it uncomfortable to use, and the bedsheets were not clean, which was concerning for hygiene. There wasn't enough space to even open our luggage because the room had too many things. The staff were rude and unaccommodating, which negatively impacted the overall experience. Unfortunately, these factors detracted from what could have been a pleasant stay.
- G (10/5): Exceptional - I really liked the serene and peaceful environment at On The House Boutique B&B. The antique decor and spiritual ambiance created a warm and positive vibe. The presence of beautiful indoor plants added a refreshing touch to the space. The staff, especially Mr. Ashish, was extremely supportive and made the stay even more pleasant. The calm surroundings and thoughtful decoration made it a truly relaxing experience. This question.
- Flordeliza (6/5): frustrating - The house is beautifully decorated with good crokery furniture and fixtures, literally like a boutique or museum its is located on the 2nd floor with stiff stairs going up.. no elevators
we found it so inconveniet to carry our luggages and things upstairs, small and stiff stairs for oldies like us are not convenient
when we arrived at the place no one was there.. only a boy names Raju assisted us ..nobody to ask coz the owner or manager was out of station
i booked a room for 2 pax, the one i tales to said only booked for 1 pax and was asked to pay for extra pax… weird that the room was double and we did not take breakfast because she said cook was on leave
- Tanushree (8/5): Great property, needs maintenance - Excellent, beautiful rooms. The breakfast was lovely and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort. The property requires maintenance. The ceiling paint in the bathroom is chipping and falls while you’re in the shower. I also spotted a small cockroach in the room.
I also had a bit of trouble with the staff talking loudly post 10 pm right outside the room.
- Sujitha (10/5): It was excellent - Good breakfast Climbing the stairs 😞
- Sita (3/5): Poor - The homecooked meal was good. I have stayed here before, twice. The standard has gone down. paint peeling off bathroom ceiling onto the floor.
Bedding substandard.
No supervision of staff.
My room was so stuffy, it felt like a store room.
unfortunately it's the last time I stay here.
- Karly (2/5): Deceived - I was unable to stay in the end due to ill health but did inform the owner twice a day of my hospital status when she assured me she held my room. When I was eventually discharged she told me she gave away my room but could offer me a home stay elsewhere, unseen. I declined and she refused refund despite resellling the room. Really poor business form and honesty.
- Seshu (9/5): Memorable place for sure! - While this was a very short business trip, I chose not to stay at the regular business hotels and found this place. I was overwhelmed with the beautiful arrangement of so many beautiful handicrafts all over the place. The staff were very helpful and the person I was in contact with was also very helpful. Nothing to complain.
- Akthar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bikram (10/5): An oasis of peace and warm hospitality! - This is not a hotel, it is a beautiful and atmospheric guesthouse. No matter how cliched it may seem, it truly feels like a home away from home. Gracious hospitality? You got it. Finger-licking food? You got it. Rich and tasteful decor? You got it. The cutlery is tastefully selected. Rooms are comfortable and inviting, the bathrooms perfectly functional. The service is prompt and courteous.
On The House is located in Safdarjung Enclave, in a leafy neighborhood. It is an oasis of calm in the chaos of modern metropolitan life.
I would stay again. All good, it represents great value for money!
- O'sullivan (9/5): Superb -
- Jim (6/5): Interesting but I would not choose to stay there again - It looks wonderful but there is so much stuff everywhere that there is no room to put one’s own things.
- Jalagam (8/5): Very good -
- Vinh-kim (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maria (5/5): Passable - Interiors are absolutely mindblowing, its so beautiful that we had no words! Don't remember to see anything like this anywhere in India, so much love and time are invested in design of each room and space! And hotel is located in green private area with no noice, adorable! Cockroaches.. we had so many in the room and bathroom, in the morning in bathroom was a moment when i could see 5 of them at once
(10/5): Although it is far from the city, it is much quieter - Friendly staff
- Sandeep (7/5): Average at best. May have to think whether to go back to the place or not. - The aesthetics - the house was beautifully set up, as evidenced from the images. The location was great too - very central but still away from the noise. The room wasnt cleaned when we got in with the fridge being particularly disgusting. The staff was also hit and miss - at times they seemed pleasant, at others they couldn't care less. The wifi connectivity was also poor.
- Charles (8/5): I found it very suitable thank - Easy access to airport. Quiet location. The tables and surfaces in the common areas need a good dust.
- Tess (6/5): Pleasant - I really liked the interior of the rooms, it made it very cosy.
We never saw the owner but via whatsapp she helped us out with the booking of traintickets. She was very helpful. The accomodation is a lot older than we had expected. The airco, the fan and the fridge were really loud. You need earplugs to sleep. After this stay we stayed in much cheaper hotels that had way better facilities.
- Akanksha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maya (9/5): quirky characterful place to stay! a home from home. -
- Satyendra (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Perfect location in South Delhi away from the busyness of the hectic city ☺️ - The hotel is in a great location and the location very green.
The rooms were large and clean.
Staff were fantastic-very helpful.
Breakfast was delicious.
I would stay again ☺️ Nil
- Sona (9/5): It was a wonderful stay!!!!!! - The house is located near a park . Quiet place. The property is well maintained. I am very fussy about washrooms, but this was very clean. Even the linens were clean. The owner is very helpful and she is quick to respond in case one faces any issue. Our flight was delayed and we checked out at 12 so the incoming guest should not face any problem. We had to spend 5 hours so we went out shopping. Aradhana was so kind that she permitted us to keep our luggage in her property. Also she permitted us to use the washroom of the vacant room to freshen up when we were back to pick up our luggage. No one would be so accomodating. I would definitely recommend this place.
- Chetan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nazia (8/5): Very good - Should have keep a hair dryer for the guest.
- Venkateswara Sarma (8/5): - Wall decorations
- Sophia (10/5): Exceptional - Home away from Home ❤️
Hated the fact that I had to leave such a wonderful and unique place, didn't feel like I was away from home
The staff is quick with their work and provide help anytime you need.
- Sameer (7/5): Good - Lovely place, very home like. Would 100% stay again.
- Brinda (9/5): Superb -
- Saad (10/5): charming, homely, clean and inviting. - Friendly and accommodating staff and tasteful, clean and comfortable rooms and facilities. Water pressure in the bathroom could definitely be improved.
- Priya (8/5): Very good -
- Vijay (5/5): Passable -
- Gupta (1/5): Uncomfortable - lots of paintings breakfast was not good. AC was old and stopped working. No toothbrush in the bathroom. Bed was shaking.
- Priyanka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manasvi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Georgi (10/5): - Truly unique and impressive B&B. Amazing decorations and super cozy atmosphere. Had a comfortable & memorable stay, we've actually felt there better than a 5* hotel. Highly recommended!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - "On The House" is Delhi's hidden gem. It's one of the most individual properties I've stayed in anywhere in the world. Every room, whether a bedroom or general living room, is beautifully decorated in a very tasteful way, and all furniture is classic in style. It's all spotlessly clean. Our very reasonably priced dinner last night was excellent, taken in the grand dining room. The staff couldn't be more attentive and friendly. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning effective and good hot water. Location excellent, in a quiet residential area with shops conveniently nearby. It's also convenient for the airport, only 30 mins by taxi. In all "On The House" is perfect in every way.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - So beautiful and quaint. You feel nice and at home here. If you come late in the middle of the night, make sure to let them know in advance so they can properly give you directions (since the main gate is closed at night) and let you in.
Service:
Frühstück überschaubar aber gut, v.a. das Omelette, wifi super, Kontakt per Telefon sehr schwierig (angegebene Nummer praktisch nie erreichbar), nette dachterasse (macht bei Smog aber keinen Spaß), Chefin unpersönlich und distanziert, kein roomservice in 4 Nächten
Flughafentransfer:
- Verified traveler (4/5): How does this place have so many good reviews? - I booked this place based on so many good reviews it has got. I think the place was beautifully decorated when you look at walls and common dinning area, and the staff was very helpful in general, but even after asking to change the shabby bed covers, they just re did the same covers. There was a dead mouse in the stairs too. Our flight landed at midnight, by then main gates of the colony were closed and we had to walk all the way to this place from the main road and then there was no elevator and just one person was up to let us in so we had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs ourselves.
- drj (8/5): quiet centre if town
- friendky ever present staff and Roger who overall is helpful personally attrnding to you beyong his line of duty n working hours
- Guests (4/5): On the House - The service and everything was only good at begining, then it goes down hills rapidly by time and days. At the end, you can see the manager is only interested in money, but not the "Hotel Service" at all, for that attitude took away a lot of credits from this beautiful hotel. We stayed at a superior room that is just next to the kitchen, the room was gorgeous, but noisy and poor air circulation as it received cooking smoke from kitchen all the time.
- Wiktoria (10/5): Lovely Stay - On the house is a lovely B&B that offers a safe yet quite central location, close to basic amenities. The staff offered excellent service and the rooms and common areas are very beautiful and picturesque. Price is reasonable. Highly recommend it!
- Elaine (10/5): Beautiful homestead in a safe area. - We were made so welcome and had a beautiful comfortable room with a pretty roof terrace. The home cooked food was delicious and good value for money. The owner helped us so much, from helping us with the dire money situation in India at the moment to booking us a driver to see the Taj Mahal. Would throughly recommend On The House to any visitor.
- Charlotte (10/5): Friendly Boutique B&B in South Delhi - On the House was a cute, charming small b&b that offered a real home away from home feel. The room was beautifully decorated and clean, the location was quiet and felt safe. The staff was always very courteous and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Crystal (10/5): Beautiful, comfy and convenient stay! - I loved staying here. The entire place is designed as though it's come straight out of a magazine, picture perfect. And yet it still felt very comfortable and cozy. I quickly befriended another solo traveler. There's a food market near by for quick take it out or if you want to sit down, eat & drink. I love that it's in a "suburban" neighborhood that I felt relatively safe walking around in although I was not alone. The home keeper and the chef were both friendly and well informed. They were flexible with my accomodations when I missed my flight and although I had booked tours in advance they were willing to help me if I had not. Can't wait to come back and stay longer next time!
- Prof krishna B (10/5): Exquisite interiors. - aesthetics superb.feels like home.i have travelled all over the world. and this meticulous taste is Exceptional & rare in a hotel. breakfast good, omelettes could have been served hot however !!!
