- Jerry (6/5): Not so good for a first stay. - One thing that was amazing was the staff...who did all possible to ensure we have a pleasant stay...Jean Pascal, and the other Jean were very supportive. Two things made my stay not so good: internet was weak and i had to buy a mobile router to hold my zoom calls. And the room key system was a failure. I had chosen this Hotel for the first stile for myself and my staff but my staff was so much unpleased that i cannot recommend this for a future stay. Personally, i may still come back because the welcoming, availability and support from the staff.

I was surprised that breakfast was not included in the booking though I opted for it. With regards to the facilities, the key encoding system went faulty, there seems to be a nightclub nearby making loud noise at night, water pressure was spotty.

Professional and friendly front desk staff as well as the catering staff in the restaurant. Clean, comfortable room. Good speed WiFi in all parts of the hotel. Unfortunately during my visit, renovation works was ongoing a d the gym and some other facilities were not assessable.

- nouriab190 (4/5): Not for me - Lovely staff but every room I tried had a cockroach. They did their best to deal with the problem and were very apologetic but it is clearly an issue in the hotel. Avoid if you don't like these vsitors. Also no hot water in shower. Otherwise hotel is fine.

- SteffenK116 (8/5): Decent 4 star hotel - This was a great introduction to Yaoundé with a straightforward reception into a place with character and in which everything worked and friendly staff. Meal prices were not exorbitant for a 4 star hotel, and the rooms and shower well equipped. All was clean and comfortable. The first room overlooked the street and was noisy and after opening the window, it was difficult to close, but I got a much quieter room on the opposite side of the corridor. Carpets dampen the noise of guests returning to their rooms and I got a good night's sleep. You'll pay over U$150/night and breakfast is extra. There is a good menu and the lamb was delicious!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, but could use a touch up - This was just an ok hotel. The positive thing is that it is nicely located not too far from downtown and there is a park around the corner. That being said, the following things were a bit problematic. 1. Breakfast options were limited and on the first morning of breakfast, I noticed a couple cockroaches running along the buffet counter. 2. The shower pressure was not very good. 3. After the toilet was flushed, water seeped out from underneath the toilet and ran to the drain in the middle of the bathroom floor. 4. I requested help with a PCR test to return home which the front desk gentleman obliged to do by calling someone to come to the hotel to assist. I was charged 25,000 CFA for the test with no receipt given, even though I asked.

- Mzsolodolo (4/5): Run down and over priced - This hotel is not worth the price at all. I can't believe the ratings. I love the one in douala but the one in yaounde is really bad. Leaking sink, low flowing water in bath, horrible mosquitos, old furniture, run down amenities and the lobby is danky, etc. It is in a really loud neighborhood. The food in the restaurant is good and the staff is pretty okay.

- MrWorldtravellerJ (6/5): Dated and overpriced - Stayed here for a night. Room is clean and bathrooms were particularly very clean. However, the hotel as a whole is dated and need renovation. But it’s still remains 1 of the only 3 options for hotels in Yaoundé. Breakfast has limited options considering it cost 8,000 FCFA. Staff were helpful but struggled to communicate in English.
- Daouda (6/5): Nightmare - The only good thing here is the restaurant and its staff. Receptin desk very disappointing and quality of their servuces is awful. I can't recommend this hotel.

- amrnfahmy (8/5): Nice hotel - Very good locations. You have many places to go to with a few minutes walk. Lots of cafés and restaurants around too. The shower is fine with hot water. The wifi connection is really good. The breakfast is very generous with a good variety of options.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - For my money this hotel hits the sweet spot between luxury and economy. Comfortable bed & bedding, good shower, functioning A/C, helpful and friendly staff. The food and drinks (like yummy fresh fruit juices) are excellent but pricey. Nice little pool, and the poolside seating makes a nice place to put feet up and relax or work, even if you don't swim. Kind of wish they'd provide an extra towel and a washcloth. Like all hotels they change out all the linens and towels each time the housekeepers come in, so I just keep the Do Not Disturb sign up except when I need them. Occasional little maintenance problem like the bathtub not draining well--no big deal so I didn't call maintenance. A/C works well, a bit noisy as you'd expect from a wall unit.

- ElizabethJK (6/5): Old-style furnishings; appalling service in restaurant for woman traveling alone - I was in Room 601. It has a big bed, armchair, desk and chair, closet, in-room safe, ledge for bag, fridge, AC, TV, coffee-making facilities, and full-length mirror. The decor is pretty old-style, not modern. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, but the shower head is not positioned high enough, so I had to hold the shower head myself to wet my hair to wash it. I had a few problems with the Wi-Fi at one point. But most of the time it worked, albeit a bit more slowly than at home. I have knocked a star off my rating because of the appalling service in the restaurant. I went in there to have dinner. I was given the menu soon enough, but ordering was ridiculous. It was maybe half an hour from getting the menu until I ordered. At various points, I was waving my arms in the air trying to get the attention of waitstaff. I finally ended up going over to the kitchen and poking my nose in there to ask if was possible to order around here. I didn’t notice other tables, which all seemed to be businessmen (vs me, a woman traveling by myself), having the same problem. Then part of my order was wrong and part was forgotten. Once I got the food, it was pretty decent, but the service was a joke. The hotel is located near the center of Yaoundé. Given the horrendous traffic in the center, the next time I will likely pick a hotel somewhere else, unless I need to be in the center.

They lied that they have transferred my booking to Hotel Djeuga Palace i was told to go there even at that hotel they did not reserved they lied a century. Then they took me to a 3rd Grade Hotel Franco which was even worst never in my life i have stayed in such a rubbish hotel.They fought with me for Taxi Airport pickup service. I never stayed in the hotel that i booked. I want Expedia to refund my full Money back immediately or i will have to take legal action which please be noted.Refund my money to my Credit Card with 24 Hrs and confirm ASAP.

Special thanks to Rodrigues, Sorel and Stephanie. The location is also very good- central and close to a supermarket. The drawback of course to being central is the noise from the beeps beeps of the cars. During my stay, there were numerous power failures but the generators kicked in almost immediately every time.

- 986erikb (4/5): The success is turned into a complacency - Hotel La Falaise has been my "home" in Yaoundé since February 2015. It seems that the hotel has been a success, always a lot of people around and often fully booked. I have had a lot of good experiences at the hotel since my first stay in February 2015. Currently, my experience is that the staff has been satisfied, they no longer strive to do the utmost for their guests. And the maintenance, especially in the bathrooms, is not satisfactory. All the time since February 2015 I have commented that the restaurant and the quality of the chefs have not kept the same standard as the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately, it has not improved. Today, they couldn't even fry eggs for breakfast in an proper way. The only excuse from the restaurant manager was that "this is the way we serve eggs here at Hotel Falaise". I'm checking out today.

- OKHM (2/5): Customer service not great - definitely not worth the price - The hotel is well located and clean enough. However, I did not have hot water for two days, and the pool was not available when it was supposed to be open. These things happen - the real problem is that management didn't do anything to fix the problem, or even respond. So for this reason, I would not recommend.

Clean, nice rooms (unlike many in Cameroon, the lighting was nice, the ceiling not too high or too low, AC worked great, nice tv, etc.), and helpful staff even for English-speakers. They will make you eggs if you ask at breakfast. The fitness center has a nice punching bag but only one working treadmill and very light dumbbells, and the AC in the fitness center was broken. Around the corner there is a very nice restaurant and cabaret called Boukarou Lounge. I will stay there again next time

- 2018LisaDS (8/5): Pleasant stay - The hotel is definitely adequate for a short business trip. Staff are very polite, friendly and do their best to help you. Breakfast was fine although the hot options are not really geared towards European tastes but there are sufficient other options. The food from the restaurant was good. Hotel looks a bit old and could do with a face-lift but nonetheless is spotlessly clean.

The rooms are clean, not very spacious, nice view of the city. Bathrooms are clean. The swimming pool is very small, fitness center small too. Wi-fi is good. The hotel has a standby generator which goes on very promptly
- Splixa (8/5): Nice place centrally located - great little pool - We stayed over New years and arrived rather late on New Years eve. Staff was so nice and helpful and we were shown different options for rooms before deciding. We took a deluxe- Room was spacious with bathrobes and slippers and nice towels (something that is rather rare in Cameroun). We had dinner in the restaurant. Nice and friendly staff average food.The breakfast was nice. there were even pancakes - also rare in Cameroun. I would go back again anytime.
- Giorgio1951 (6/5): Dal centro per scoprire l'Africa - We stayed in this hotel for about ten days. So we could well evaluate its properties. Modern, elegant building, good cleaning. Standard room of adequate size. Large bathroom with small window. New toilet facilities: there is a bidet!! and a little mirror. The shelf is the sill of the bathroom small window. On arrival the drain of the bidet was broken and the water flowed in the floor. The reception provided for repair immediately. The room is changed daily in the linen Unfortunately there is always one small towel and you have to pray for one more. The room climate is ok. The TV channels are French, Africans Francophone, CNN, Chinese channel. Breakfast is in a nice room and buffet. panafricana.Ananas super.Coffe Kit.Surprising is the very high number of waiters who unfortunately, but it is not their fault, they have no sense of readiness and efficiency, apart from delivering the bill. I ask at the reception for using the PC and printer in order to print the sheets for the airline check-in on night. I had to weit for a personal more. After 45 min I was able to speak with her, but no admission to the PC station was allowed to me. I had to go to an internet point, quite far from the hotel. Be patient! you are in central Africa...
- michael682017 (8/5): One of the better hotels for a descent price in the center of Yaounde - Having to stay in Yaounde for two weeks of work. I found this hotel a good alternative between "go cheap" or "pay too much". The service from the staff was great: every day clean sheets and thoroughly sweeping the room. Nice the reception speak both English and French. If you are a non-smoker you will get a room on a high floor level, thus less noise from outside. The only minus I found was at breakfast: replenishment of juices and food didn't keep up with the amount of people joining the morning ritual. So get your breakfast in time. Next time in Yaounde, I will certainly return to this hotel.

- sigooch (4/5): Decent rooms but woefully lacking in service - I looked at this hotel on various websites - some have it down as a 3 star, others as a 4 star. In terms of the bedrooms, somewhere between the two is probably about right. Breakfast was a disappointment though and definitely not 4 star standard. My biggest frustration though was the service - despite repeated conversations with the reception and reservation staff to correct an error in their reservation records, I was still overcharged at check-out and am currently waiting for a refund. The reception team also seemed to be regularly undermanned for the busy influx of both hotel guests and those coming for meetings/conferences.

- HANISH (8/5): Good Hotel But Tad Too Expensive - Neat, clean, conveniently located and comfortable although I personally find it about 25% more expensive than justified. Check in takes too long and none of the staff at reception have a smile on their face - gives the impression that management is driving them too hard and they are just doing their duty like they don't really care. This should be avoided because otherwise the hotel is good. This was my 2nd stay in less than 2 months and I would happily repeat it if I happen to visit Yaounde - I just hope that reception staff is more warmly welcoming and that the hotel seriously considers pricing itself in the USD 100 to USD 115 range, not higher.

- Andrea (10/5): - The hotel is fairly new, in good condition, clean and comfortable. It is the next best option after the Hilton if you don't want to spend an exorbitant amount on a room. Staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. They speak mainly French but have some English and there was always someone on staff with more English available if necessary. Wi-fi and air conditioning work fine throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of options and I requested an omelette each morning. I had two evening meals which were also very nice. The price is reasonable, I had a good stay, no complaints.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Finally, some Western Comfort - Well, after 2 full days of driving from Eastern Cameroon and a stop-over in the city of Yakadouma, where the best hotel in the city did not have a toilet seat... this was a much welcomed Western Relief. It's certainly not the cheapest hotel in the city, but not as expensive as the "top chian hotel", it still has all the comfort and amenities one would need. The food was good, the beers were cold, the staff was helpful, the water in the large shower tub was hot and the toilets flush (not a given for Cameroon!) The beds were comforable and the A/C was working.. what else can you really ask for? If I ever found myself in Yaounde, I'd take this hotel again without thinking twice. most of the staff in the check-in counters spoke at least some English and were helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport.

Among things that were good: the room service, the resolution to getting my laundry back quickly upon request, the breakfast buffet in the morning.

- Max (8/5): Very nice hotel with a good stand quality/price - Very good international standard in this hotel but i was some disappointed by the staff customer capacity to help a customer (lack of helpfulness) and to solve his problems. Except this incident i was very impressed by the quality of this nice hotel with an affordable price
- Ferraro Family (8/5): Nice city Hotel. - Hotel was pleasant, Staff friendly and helpful considering language barrier, although they could speak a bit of English. Rooms were nice beds very comfy with great sheets, comforters and pillows. Had 2 people per room yet only had 1 bath towel and 1 had towel. No wash cloth. They did have kettle to make hot water and provided Nescafe,tea, powder milk and cups, as well as bottled water. Nice TV and free wifi. Exercise room was not good at all most machines were broken, Pool looked nice, but did not use it. We purchased breakfast included was little pricy but a very nice selection however, it did not get replenished. So if you are not there by 9-9:30 much of the selection is gone (although it is supposed to go until 10:30) Price is much less than Hilton and very nice.
- Emmanuel (10/5): Very clean hotel - Service was excellent, staff cordial and helpful. The only short coming I remember is that most of the cable channels are in French except CNN. WiFi was stable.Will stay here again.
- FK (4/5): Hotel staff not pleaseant - The hotel is located at the heart of the Yaoundé this is good for business trip. however hotel staff is not pleaseant, service quality is very poor.
