Debbie (10/5): We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. - The location was perfect for our needs. Staff was accommodating when we need to switch rooms after our arrival. We had booked a room which I didn’t realize was a second floor room and my husband doesn’t do stairs well. Nothing we had no complaints.

Verified traveler (8/5): Above Average Motel - This review is based on this being a motel. Overall, it was in pretty good condition. There was some odors coming from the air conditioning on the first night that made the air heavy. The room was pretty clean and in decent shape. Once again, my expectations are low for motels so I was say this is above average. I don't think I would stay here again for the price of $130 per night but its slim pickings in these areas if you don't plan ahead or want to spend $300 a night somewhere else.

Monty (8/5): - The hotel was in a convenient location for our trip and easy to find. Our room was clean and well maintained. I did not care for the lighting for the bathroom area. It was very bright and there was only one switch for the bathroom and vanity area, which made the rest of the room really bright for others still sleeping. The payment was confusing to me. The property owners said that I owed the first night’s payment, even though I had booked it through Orbitz. But I did not get the two charges on my credit card to add up to what it said I paid in the app.

Gerry (8/5): - We stayed in the basic twin queen room. The check-in was smooth and effortless. Young lady behind the desk was polite and helpful for dinner options. We were there to sleep as we were headed out on a charter the next morning for fishing. Goofy set-up for bathroom lighting. The light switch for the shower/toilet room was the same as the sink - so when you turned it on most of the room was lit. Seems minor, but to see where to pee - you basically woke everyone up. Otherwise, good stay. Prompt check out by 11a.m. - no exceptions. Probably would stay again; but check out a suite instead of the basic room.

Walls a bit thin, so adjacent noise noticable, but over all a pleasant stay. Restaurant in town, The Ballering, although pricey, has an excellent perch fish fry, and the baked Brie with cherry compote appetizer is one not to miss!

Louise (6/5): - The staff at this motel were so kind and friendly!!! Check-in was fast and easy. Based on the previous high rviews i read of this location, my expectations were high, but the actual room experience wasn't the best. Our first room had a terrible odor to which the front desk staff were very sorry for. They showed us 2 other rooms, one with the same smell, the other very old and musty!! The 4th room was a suite on the second floor in the larger building. It smelled old but wasn't pungent like the others, so we took that room at no extra cost. This room is further away from the highway so very quiet. The room was large, beds comfy with a great second floor view at the back veranda! There's no pool, breakfast or restaurant on the property. This motel is overpriced for the age and quality of it, and seems like a further walking distance to the lake than described. We wouldn't stay here again.

Every time the staff has been absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to make your stay amazing! I don't have anything negative to say about this place.

Judith (6/5): - Easily accessible, my husband is handicapped. Owner is friendly, wanting to help. We both slept well on the beds and the surrounding area is very quiet. However, The microwave tray did not turn around in the microwave so we had to do this manually. We were offered a new microwave on the last day. We were left with two cleaning rags instead of face cloths. This was remedied when I went to ask the cleaning ladies for face cloths. The room was never tidied, nor were the towels changed during our three nights stay, as had been promised. When these concerns were voiced to the male owner of the hotel, he offered no discount or any solution. His wife was more helpful, but we would’ve appreciated a discount. It was too expensive for what we got.

Ben (10/5): - The immediate area is so beautifully natural and quiet. The motel sits atop a hill on several acres overlooking both Lake Michigan and the Kewaunee River.The owners run the hotel and that means a lot to me. I will definitely stay at the Coho Motel again and again.

I had to bring the suitcase stand into the bathroom in order to have a place to rest my toiletries when getting ready for the day.
