Guest Reviews
- Angela (10/5): Fabulous B&B - Great B&B, perfect location for exploring Sterling. Very well appointed spacious room with delicious home cooked breakfast sourced from local produce. Lovely views and gardens. The host was very welcoming.
- Tracy (10/5): - Excellent!
- M P (10/5): Your perfect home below the Castle - Great location, great host, great breakfast, great parking, great atmosphere & sunsets. Comfortable common areas with tea/coffee & treats. Great artwork everywhere. Our room was spotless with access to a patio & Laura's manicured gardens. It was just a 10 minute, beautiful, practically private walk from the side yard to either the Castle or 5 minutes further to the town. Park the car & forget about it. Laura gave us excellent suggestions and her passion for her guest was unsurpassable. We would stay there again. 6 Stars
- Teri (10/5): - This is a beautiful, clean, peaceful, well decorated and located B&B, below Stirling Castle, near beautiful walking trails below the castle and leading toward the City Centre. This B&B has stunning views from large bay windows from the common area. It is loaded with lovely artwork. Very tastefully done!
- Valentina (10/5): - This is a great place to stay for a night or longer. The host is fantastic! She even remembers everyone’s name! The house is spotless and has beautiful views from large windows. Her breakfasts for guests are epic! The castle is located a short walk, unfortunately up, to the top of the mountain. There is a paved walking trail that leads you to restaurants, bats and shopping. We had a wonderful time staying there in those comfortable rooms!

As such, this is a great venue for a small party of friends to meet up - currently in our thoughts since we would definitely stay here again if catching up with friends in Stirling.

We had complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits in the lounge on arrival which was most welcome after the long drive. Our room with private patio was just beautiful with everything we needed provided. Everywhere was spotless and extremely comfortable and breakfast just perfect. The house was both convenient for the sights of Stirling and for peace and quiet. We cannot recommend this guest house highly enough. Thank you Laura, we will be back.

Exceptional place to stay, the service was excellent and if you need a great breakfast before your day starts then this is the place for you. It's perfectly placed for an easy walk to the town and a short one hour from loch Lomond and the beautiful trosechs.
If I go back to Stirling I will be asking to come back to castle croft.

- Holly (10/5): Great host, homely accomodation and good location - Laura was a great host and cooked us an excellent breakfast. The room was nicely decorated and homely. A great location for visiting the castle or Stirling. We used it as a stop off on our way further North which it was perfect for. Would certainly stop again.

Clean, tidy and cosy. Would definitely recommend.
Great proximity to Stirling castle and wonderful views.
- Thomas (10/5): little gem. - Made to feel very welcome. Excellent service and a lovely breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Laura was a fantastic host at Castlecroft. Nothing was a bother. She took time to learn everyones names and remembered them. Whilst Laura was busy she never gave the impression that it was. Everything was at a relaxed yet efficient pace. The whole experience was so relaxing and I definitely plan to return. Food was excellent. Bed very comfortable. Rooms clean and tasteful decor. Laura recommended various restaurants nearby and we found Hermanns was excellent.
Quite simply the best B and B I have had the pleasure of visiting.
- Maria (10/5): The Nicest B&B <3 - I give Castlecroft my strongest recommendations! The place is so incredibly cozy and welcoming. I really felt like a princess staying with Laura <3 She gave excellent recommendations and is just such a lovely person in general <3
- SallyL. (10/5): - Our hostess Laura is absolutely wonderful! She is warm, friendly and very helpful. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time but Laura warmly welcomed us in and offered us coffee, tea and snack; and showed us how to walk to the castle, where to get dinner. The property is very clean, lovely and homey. We spent some time just hanging out on the couch in the family room. There is also a small garden outside of our room. Breakfast was great, it is cooked to order and has a very good selection of food.
Walking distance to Stirling Castle by taking a nice trail from the property. Also can walk to Stirling town where there're plenty of restaurants and shops. Laura has a local map that she can show you how it works.
- Barbara (10/5): Great stay - Great location and host. Room was super. Host provided good help re: the town. Location is super convenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - In this B&B breakfast is prepared for you to order with a good selection of hot and cold. There are thoughtful amenities in the bedroom and bathroom. It is a bedroom in a house with access to a large community sitting room. It is very close to Stirling Castle and there is a walking trail system. We arrived late due to a rental car breakdown and left early, but the owner is very gracious.
- Andy (10/5): Looks Lovely and Service Great - Unfortunately I had to cancel my stay, but I will be back - The lady I spoke to was lovely.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Thanks to our host, Laura, we had a great overnight in Stirling. The room was clean and comfortable. The service and breakfast were exquisite. The living room was fun to relax in and to absorb the views. Finally Laura helped us find several options for dinner and activities which were all easy walking distance from the house! I highly recommend this property!
- Gene (10/5): You must stay at castlecroft - Amazing accommodations. Laura is a great host. Nice 15 minutes walk to town for many restaurants and the castle
- Verified traveler (10/5): - An absolutely stunning location (with equally stunning views) and a short walk to old Stirling and the castle. The room was comfortable, thoughtfully stocked, and nicely sized. Laura went out of her way to accommodate our awkward travel schedule and above and beyond to give us maps and restaurant tips for Stirling. We stayed at a number of B&Bs this trips--this one was exceptional. Highly recommended.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Our host, Laura, was amazing! Would absolutely stay there again.
- peter (8/5): - very well located next to castle in stirling
