Cath was friendly and there even was a pub down the street that served food. The bathroom was also really nice. Lot of CCTV around the common rooms. It feels like you are being watched all the time while making your breakfast. The breakfast itself was simple, but convenient.

Sanne (8/5): Heerlijke overnachting op weg naar Schotland - Het is waren ruime kamer, erg schoon en alle faciliteiten waren aanwezig. De foto’s op boeking.com waren van andere kamers dan deze, maar deze kamers waren net zo compleet. Voor een nachtje onderweg naar onze vakantiebestemming was het een luxueuze verblijfplaats! Het ontbijt is zelfservice en niet erg uitgebreid (yohlghurt, ontbijtgranen, toast en eieren, wat je allemaal zelf moet ‘bereiden’. Op zich prima, maar t was wel netjes geweest als dit er expliciet bij staat in de beschrijving voor je het boekt. De locatie is prima voor een kort verblijf, luxe zelfs, maar ik zou er niet meerdere dagen verblijven.

Olliver (10/5): Clean, comfortable and great value for money - Very clean, good size room and bathroom. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was good for the price that we paid. Both Zoe and Cath were very helpful, specially with my request for a downstairs room. It was not too far from the A1(m). Would definitely stay here again. Only very small point is that there were no usb points to charge mobiles - This is more because I forgot to bring the plug for my charger, than an issue with the place.
Anthony (6/5): okay if prepared with own food. - Quiet location, good shower clean room. Kitchette with good equipment. Breakfast poor, very limited choice but good kitchen facilities. Had difficulty getting access on arrival. Advance notification at booking stage would help to plan meals.

Breakfast was help yourself which was OK.Good that you could cook or bring food in to eat in the Nice dining room. It was strange that we were there for two nights, we let ourselves in and throughout our stay we didn't see anyone. We saw a few people but hadn't a clue who they were. Our room whilst being a good size and very comfortable with a very comfy bed ,didn't have a window that you could look out of which I didn't like.
Alfredo (8/5): excellent except for breakfast - The place is very cosy and comfortable. Value for money is excellent. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The guest house was very clean. The location is not the best but that is very relative where you are going. From my only point of view the only downside was the breakfast. It is only cereals, coffee, jams and toasts. There are tins of beans and eggs if you want to cook your own scramble eggs but it is self-service and you have to do the washing up if you do any cooking.

Seem to be 2 rooms listed on booking.com. One as Room 6 and the other a bit more in price. We booked the one that was a bit more but it turned out to be the other room and the described 'superb breakfast' was adequate enough but simply a self serve set-up with basic continental items like a few yoghurts and a small selection of cereals (of which the available choices seemed more suited to kids - chocolate or sugared options only!). Also only white bread as an option for toast. We therefore didn't have much in the way of breakfast, unfortunately!

Carol (7/5): Welcoming - Friendly welcoming staff. Ample parking in car park next door. Self serve breakfast, cereal, yoghurt, toast. Can take own food and have use of a full Kitchen. The BellVue party place next door with function room and hot tub looks great for larger groups and mainly is weekend occupancy. The hot tub only available if enough guests. Ground floor rooms available. Good in the week for contractors wanting overnight stop off. I can recommend the nearby Traditional Pub, The King's Head for food. I had Room 4 upstairs, which is above the front door and unfortunately was noise from road traffic and someone outside at 8am who also moved the wheelie bin which I found unnecessary when check out is 10am. I did speak to the lovely owner Zoe and hopefully this would not reoccur. I would stay again however I'd personally ask for a different room.

It could have been a bit closer to Hull, which was our actual destination, but there's not much they can do about that!

Breakfast is continental but you have the option to cook your own brekkie if required. Pub in the village is a 10 mins walk and is awesome with filling food available; great atmosphere.
