It took forever to get warm and there was no bathroom in the lobby and I had to use the bathroom at check in so I had to use one of the rooms Before I could even check in to use the bathroom it was just one thing after another. The property you didn’t know which building was the lobby to check in I had to ask

- Helen G (1/5): - no breakfast I found bed bugs in my bed. I took photos to the mangement at 3:30 am....asked for an immediate refund and immediately checked out at 3:30..with no place to go. Slept in my car until other arrangements could be made.

- Janise (5/5): A short night from hell. - As a customer I enjoyed the free parking . The smell of the sheets and room smelled like black and milds and swisher sweets. The air was not as pleasant as I would’ve liked. Immediately I checked out before 11 am ; this hotel deserves improvement on the cleanliness guidelines. The vending machine was a complete waste of time. The heat was good and the water was hot at least. The microwave & fridge works .

- Joanne (2/5): Terrible value for the price. - Convenient. Bed was comfortable. Hallway dirty, carpet shredded. Poor pressure in shower. Sink faucet leaked badly. Some of furniture falling apart. For the price, there should be coffee in the room.

- Jean Christophe (3/5): Not worth the $120 we paid for each room. Reeked of cigarette smoke. - Room was fairly spacious, bed was very comfortable, shower was OK. Location is great, just off highway and opposite the shopping mall. The 2 non-smoking rooms reeked of cold cigarette smoke from having be a smoking room at one point in time! Hotel called me to confirm we were coming, just a few hours after I called them to inform them we would be checking in a little on the late side (person on the phone acknowledged my request and even joked about writing 1am as check in time on the system). Staff made us wait 15 minutes when we got there because of a group that didn't have a reservation, even after asking for our name and checking our reservation on their system.

The room is stuffy and the windows are so old and broken that I called the front desk to come and open as I thought it would break before it would open and I'm 225 lbs and 6ft. If

Didn't ruin the visit for me, but, I could see that sort of thing being problematic. Everything about the room was commendable....clean, fully ready for a guest, etc. The building is close to a major road with commercial traffic. Not much can be done about that. (Maybe some vegetation along the roadway to create a sound buffer?) Really, the only suggestion I'd make is to sound proof the rooms better...no good ideas on how to do that! (Sorry!) Location is perfect for my travels, so I'll be back. My family may not handle the noise as well, but, we'll see....

I was able to turn the TV on with the remote, but I couldn't turn it off so it was on all night. A terrible night sleep I would've been better off sleeping in my car. When I got up, the first thing I did was look out the window to make sure my car was still there, and if the tires are still on it. Oh, I can add photo of my stay.

If you have some place to go or just want to rest after a long day, this is the perfect place for you. It's also near a few big highways and was easy for us to get around. It's a very basic hotel, and that's not a bad thing. That's what I was looking for; no thrills.

- Kay (2/5): Tappan Zee Hotel needs a LOT of repairs. - Air conditioning VERY Noiisy,not well lit, bed too soft, neighbors played TV loud til 5:30 am., bathroom light created very loud sounds that continued as long as light was on. Very inexpensive but no sleep for me.

There was only one working plug near the bed; it was behind the head of the mattress, and I had to unplug the one bedside lamp to use it. The sheets were okay, but the top covers were cheap and old. The A/C worked well. Bathroom was a bit beat up, but serviceable.
