- Patrick (10/5): - Transportation was fine, Hotel was ok.
- Nixon (10/5): - The place is relatively quiet which is hard to find nowadays in Haiti in the capital.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - I said over and over I did not stay at this pig place and I want my money back
You people are so disrespectful . I a litthe respect make sens. Please put the money on my account. I am a human not an animal.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I had a peaceful experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place is beautiful it feel like an oasis. The food is delicious, the pool was nice. And the staff are amazing!
- 516sidalia (10/5): Perfect place - Its very nice place to stay if you want a quite atmosphere. You can approach the staffs for whatever you want to know. Foods are so delicious and perfect. You will love and enjoy the pool too.
When i come back, i want to stay here again.
- Mark (10/5): - This is, without question, the nicest, affordable hotel in Port a Prince. Love the staff, food, service and ambiance.
- joas168 (8/5): Good place to stay, - It is a small place but not too small, but with a good kitchen, swimmingpool, airco in the rooms and very kind people who are willing to help at all times.
It is a safe place, car can be parked inside and there is a guard at all times.
There are different little areas where you can sit relax or drink/ eat.
From here it is not far to the airport and close to the main route.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a lovely Haitian hotel, which means, it is distinctly and beautifully itself. It is *not* the Marriott down the road, which is definitely more transnational high-end, genuine five-star, from gleaming elevators to immaculate aircon rooms. The Palm Inn is a small, family-run and owned, personal hotel, with outside winding staircases and bougainvillea, located right by the airport. If you would like to feel like you haven’t left home, Marriott is great; if you want a small, personal, Haitian family experience, with ups and downs in terms of water temperature and pressure, electricity and Wi-Fi a tad unpredictable, but consistently lovely food and the warmest smiles and welcome, I have been coming here for the past ten years, and this is the place to come.
- D5346WYalexv (8/5): An oasis of peace - We stayed as the only inbound guests, while other foreigners were departing due to ongoing 'peyi lok'. Not a nice experience, for us but certainly not for the haitian staff. But we greatly appreciate the attentive service and advice we received. An oasis of peace indeed.
I'd like to mention the superb kitchen, too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Private. Very nice landscaping. Restaurant on premises. Prices for food at restaurant was overpriced. Check in was ... they couldn’t find my reservation and it didn’t matter to them that I brought my receipt and itinerary as proof, because it wasn’t had-written on their books.
- Crystal (8/5): Highly suggest - I have stayed at the Palm Inn many times in the past few years. It is my "go-to" place before I need to be at the airport since I live over an hour away and the roads can be unpredictible. I have also gone just for some much needed respite from the heat and stresses of ministry here in Haiti. It is peaceful, quiet, and I am always treated well and feel safe (I am usually alone). Be sure to stop by to see Zeus and tell him I said hello. 😉
- ntopsom (8/5): A clean, quiet haven - The best customer service I've experienced in Haiti since visiting there many times.
Quiet, clean, pool & all amenities. Polite efficient staff. Delicious varied breakfast.
Will make our regular hotel rrom now on.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Het is een eenvoudig hotel. Voordeel: ze hebben verschillende familiekamers.
- baytsay (10/5): OK - My trip to The Palm Inn was ok. The people across the Hall from me were very loud and annoying. I don't think I will be coming back. Also my food was OK, but they got my order wrong so I had to eat something I did not want for Breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the vegetation.... great location.....5 minutes to the airport....people were friendly....cute bird that sings and talks, food was okay. Cons: coffee machine in room had moldy coffee grains in it, sink in bathroom leaks onto floor.....you can hear other people talking next door (nothing to muffle sound - little drapery and no rugs), pool looked neglected.
- YOJI (8/5): - 周辺には何もありませんが静かな地区にある。 Wifiはレストランでしか使用できませんが価格を考えるとこんな感じでは。。
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect personal truly Haitian hotel
If you love Haiti this is where you stay
- Frans (10/5): - Best leuk en heel veilig.
Ruime kamer, netjes.
Correct zwembad.
Behoorlijk restaurant.
- Jean (6/5): - Pleasantly surprised. Very calm. Very relaxing
Would recommend.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This place charge you per guest.it is not like any hotel where the rate assume a second guest.in my case, they gave a double bed when I checked in.so the room sleeps 4.i checked in alone. My friend slept over one night and the next night my cousin slept over since I was closer to the airport to drop me off.they wanted to charge u an additional $35 a night.pool is nice but food is not.
- Jean-François (8/5): Satisfait ! - C'est très bien comme endroit ! La nourriture est bonne ! Les lieux sont propres et les chambres corrects. Le service est lent au bar (parfois il faut carrément chercher la personne....).
- JEAN G (6/5): - It was good but they need to change or upgrade their AC Unit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a nice place. It is simple, but everything you need is there. It is clean, the restaurant is nice. The palm trees provide a lot of shade and are beautiful. The price is very good compared to the others near by. It is a little difficult to find, it is on a dirt road and not a lot of signage. I used the airport pick up and that worked fine, except we were suppose to get another person, as well, but the driver never found the other person. So, we did wait quite awhile for him and left once someone gave a report that everyone was out of the airport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Welcoming Courtyard - Pleasantly surprised description was accurate mangoes & pineapples delicious, staff courteous
- Verified traveler (10/5): Convenient Comfortable Hotel - Very nice hotel close to the airport. Shuttle makes getting to and from airport easy. Nice restaurant on grounds with very friendly servers. Electricity/generator is sometimes on/off but staff do their best to make guests comfortable and, after all, this is to be expected in Haiti.
- Fritz (8/5): 04/15-04/17 - The site is very nice and peaceful. The staff is friendly and the food delicious.
I would suggest a GIF plug in the bathroom for shaving and an iron for guests who might need it.
I will definitely come back for a second visit.
Sincerely,
Fritz Gabelus
- Iskuz (8/5): Good Hotel, Safe, Great Breakfast! - This little hotel is nice. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a guard at the front gate for added security. The rooms where clean, air conditioned, flat screen TV's, full bathroom, refrigerator, and a safe. There was a workout gym outside near the very clean pool. Drinking water coolers and wifi were both in the common areas. Also a restaurant that served a delicious full breakfast, lunch and dinner was also onsite.
- Stanley (8/5): Clean, quiet and relaxing. - We stayed here for the first time and we were staying just one nite as we were on our way back to the cold, frozen Great, White North. We had just completed a rather gruelling 4 hour car trip over the mountain from Marigot via Jacmel with another couple. We were hot, dusty and feeling rather beat up as a result.
We had a wee bit of a problem finding the hotel due to a lack of signage but we learned that the sign was being refinished so this should not be a problem for others. Then we had just a we bit of a problem locating the office to sign in. Who knew that it would right in the front under a .... are you ready for this ..... beautiful, big palm tree? We were about an hour early for check in time but this made no problem at all. We were immediately shown to our rooms. The rooms are a good size and very, very clean. The entrance doors themselves are from local craftsmen as most everything else in the room including local art on the walls. Beautiful! And definitely not 'chain hotel' inspired.
The a/c's were working great, thank you very much and the warm water shower was terrific. The pool was refreshing and the restaurant food was very good but not as good as the staff were to us. They were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our free breakfast with an omelet and fruit etc. Let us not forget the great Haitian coffee either.
The location is secure, quiet, clean and well cared for. Just remember that this is Haiti and you will thoroughly enjoy your stay here. Very hard beds aside.
- David (4/5): Could be so much better - This hotel has the potential to be so much better. Small but basic changes would make a big difference. For example: Bottled drinking water in each room, many more than just two routers for the whole hotel, better training of staff on administrative issues [I was over charged for dinner and no one knew how to reimburse my credit card], acceptance of AmEx cards.
- Beau (10/5): Great Haitian Hotel - The Palm Inn Hotel is a great Haitian hote. It's not a chain, so don't expect fancy finishes and continuously hot water. But as far as Haitian hotels go, this one is by far the best. It's very clean, the bathrooms were spotless and not old or grimy. The beds are comfortable and the AC worked great. The grounds are gorgeous and very relaxing. The food was absolutely amazing, just be aware it will take a good 45 minutes for food to get to the table, which is par for the course in Haiti. The lights went in and out a few times, but the generator always kicked on. The owner was super friendly. Location is close to the airport in a very safe part of town. Overall we had a great stay and will certainly stay again!
- sean (4/5): Nice hotel but poor management - Hotel is not extravagant but is cute . The restaurant was so bad that we ventured out frequently to nearby hotels to eat . Manager was more interested in being waited on by the staff than correcting the poor quality that was being served to his customers . Unfortunately this probably won't change due to the fact his is related to the owner (he stated the owner was family) . He is a very nice gentleman but poor management of this hotel is an issue as to why I will find a different hotel if we go to Haiti again ...... Perhaps Elite Hotel ? ( One of the restaurants we ate at instead of our own hotel .) It appeared to have superior service at only $20 more a night .
- haiti2016 (8/5): Near the airport - I have stayed at the Palm Inn a few times when I need to be near the airport. It is clean and the front desk staff is always very friendly and accommodating. (and they tolerate my basic Créole skills)
I have never had a problem booking in advance. The communication is very efficient and replies are prompt. There are coffee machines in the room which made me VERY happy, however there were no filters and no coffee to put in them. I asked the restaurant and they gave me a coffee cup of grinds after I asked a few times where I could get coffee and filters. So, I ended up using a paper napkin and creating a make-shift filter. (yes, i needed a coffee that badly) I would recommend either advising visitors they need to provide their own "supplies" for the machine or actually providing them.
Second comment would be that if you wanted to "lounge" by the pool there isn't a lot of room. You can sit and recline in a chair but there are no loungers per se. Not a deal breaker by any means, just a heads-up. The breakfast is wonderful!!!
- Crystal (10/5): So pleased! - I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Staff was attentive, administration was accomodating, room was very nice, food was far above agerage for Haiti, and more!!
- 462michelem (10/5): Never disappointed - I've been staying at the Palm for a few years now when I'm in Haiti. The staff is wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. I'm always very well taken care of and comfortable staying here. I would recommend this hotel every time.
- 942tedb (10/5): Love the Palm Inn - The Palm Inn is an exceptional hotel and the staff are very friendly and willing to care for their guest.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Port au Prince. The breakfast is awesome and the evening meals a delight.
- scottysimpson (10/5): Service with excellence! - While traveling to Haiti on short term mission trips, we have stayed at the Palm Inn several times. Their staff are always helpful, friendly, and have always served us with excellense. I highly recommend if you are going to travel to Haiti and need to stay in Port-Au-Prince look nowhere else!
- Jcgrant4th (6/5): Have stayed here many times but needs maintenance updates. - I enjoyed staying here in the past, as it was a good deal with close proximity to the airport. Lately, there have been too many maintenance issues, and the stays were not so enjoyable. Trouble with lights, plumbing, door gaps letting mosquitoes in, etc.
- pgepson (10/5): Best place to stay in Port Au Prince - I love the Palm Inn. The staff is friendly, the place is always so clean, and the rooms are the best. If you eat any meal there you will find the perfect mix of traditional Haitian cuisine and if you travel from the U.S.--more familiar items too. the courtyard and pool are unbelievable and the property is only about 1 mile from the airport. I always felt safe and comfortable there. I will visit again, and I will stay at the Palm Inn again!
- ashleigh613 (10/5): Highly Recommended - I have stayed at the Palm Inn several times. I love staying here. It is very close to the airport. They offer airport shuttle at a minimal cost. The rooms are very clean, the food is good and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend it.
- RICKH816 (10/5): Missions trip to Haiti. - My trip was very productive and enjoyable. Our first meeting of the Independent Baptist Churches of Haiti. Very nice people. Weather was very hot but we managed as best we could. We had the privilege to serve with missionary Jacques Alexandre who highly recommends the Palm Inn Hotel and recommends that his guest stay there.
- robwV9361FL (10/5): Paradise in the caribbean - My 3 day stay at the Palm Inn hotel was extremaly nice. Everything was very clean everyone I came in contact with was very nice I enjoyed my stay immensely. Shella and Savain were very kind and helpful.
- S4957ULlisaw (10/5): Choice place to stay in PaP - The Palm Inn was a great place for myself and fellow mission group members to stay while in PaP. It was secure, clean, close to the airport and much more reasonable in price than the Petionville hotels. The youth enjoyed the pool. We all enjoyed the good food and company of other interesting people staying at the hotel. The staff were helpful, kind, and friendly. Making reservations was easy and a refund was promptly made to me when it was realized we had less in the party than originally scheduled. I will continue to stay here when in PaP.
- 48josephp (10/5): Have to stay here!!! - This place is amamzing!! I will not stay anywhere but here. It quite and peaceful and right out side of Belmopan. The owners make you fresh breakfast every morning and restaurant will deliver to your room because there friends of the owners. You get US TV channels and there’s a pool.
- joshuakj (8/5): Conveniently located - We really enjoyed our stay here. We wanted to be close to the domestic airport, and the shuttle was so convenient for that. The restaurant was good, the pool was refreshing and the room was nice, though very basic. It may have been that we had just spent a couple days in the United States, but we were eaten alive by mosquitoes here. We normally don't have to wear repellent, but there were dozens of mosquitoes living in our room, biting us all night long. We had limited wifi and the air-conditioning was less than desirable, but the stay was quaint, affordable and enjoyable.
- sallysT4244TP (8/5): Two nights in an extremely quaint Haitian Hotel. - This is obviously not a five star hotel, but I loved it! The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the surroundings were beautiful, and everyone working there was extremely kind, cheerful, and helpful! The food was very good, we had buffet style as we were a group of 18 traveling with Compassion International to visit some of Compassion's Projects, and our sponsored children. We were very tired after busy, hot, days of travel, and this was a nice, relaxing place to be. In another review, someone mentioned the hard beds. They weren't the best, but I must have been too tired because I slept quite well. Everyone was very gracious and I enjoyed my stay. Zeus and the parakeets were an added bonus!
- 1firstlady (4/5): Mission Trip - Room was very comfortable. The room was also very clean. Very good breakfast provided daily. The hotel was gated and an armed guard stood watch at the gate throughout the day.
The room was not well lit and of course, no television. No consistency regarding hot water in shower. Had to take a cold shower on a few occasions.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - The room was very clean and the grounds were very nice. The staff was friendly.
