Small room on top floor and the bed was very small and uncomfortable. It had very old two mattresses separated by a board. We kept rolling into the middle and each time one of us turned over/ got out of bed the other woke up with the noise and movement of the bed. The bed linen was navy and well used. Very pricey at £144 a night. Breakfast was pretty uninteresting and basic.

Location was amazing! Easy to walk to shopping, restaurants and the water. Our room was great and my only complaint would be that the mattress on the sofa bed was fairly uncomfortable for my daughter, but otherwise we had no complaints!

Our 2 room suite had a jacuzzi! Unexpected and fabulous. The internet was the worst we have ever experienced. We have stayed in several properties on PEI and none had this internet issue. Tv in our room fit the decor but was super small.

It was very clean, the staff were very quick at refreshing our rooms every day! The breakfast was nice and it was lovely to meet and chat with people from other places. The b&b was in a great location, short walking distance to downtown. Since its about in the middle of PEI it makes for a good homebase for driving to other areas in the day. Wifi was not great, ended up using my data for our duration there. The lighting in the room was dark and the outlets are inconvienently placed, but not a big concern!

We LOVED our room, and felt welcome to enjoy the lovely porches, decks, garden, and sitting rooms. Breakfast was always excellent and having a kitchenette near our room was great for coffee and snacks. I burst into tears as we checked out as we had been so happy at such a special place in the wonderful Charlottetown.

Edward (9/5): Great Victorian B and B - The home is classic Victorian. Helen the proprietor is an Irish-Canadian with the "gift of gab". She will regale you at breakfast with her stories, which are very entertaining. The breakfast is excellent, and cooked to order. We were on the third floor, and the July weather was very hot - 85 degrees F. We could feel the heat rising as we climbed the stairs, and it felt like a furnace when we got to our room. Fortunately, we had a portable room AC, but it could not really keep up with the heat, making it tough to sleep. Of course it's not the innkeeper's fault that it was hot, but with climate change I suggest that you book a lower floor room if visiting in the summer months.

Great location for walking Charlottetown and discovering local specialties. Our room was esthetically old fashioned but conveniently modern. The breakfast menu was delicious! Would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of a B&B in the area... and we have every intention of a future visit.
AndrewM752 (8/5): Nice shorty stay - Spent a lovely couple of nights here with our child. The house and surrounding garden are lovely, and the location is absolutely fantastic. Private parking is available to the side of the property. We stayed on the top floor which was a bit hot (the weather was unusually warm and humid during our stay). However, the room and bathroom was great - clean and well appointed with period furniture. They also had a nice side balcony that was accessible to sit on and we enjoyed it during the evenings. Breakfast was excellent. The BnB was just a short five minute walk to everything. We'd book again.

Sandy (10/5): - Helen is a wonderful host that is welcoming and sweet! This location is great for seeing the main shopping and walking area. Lots of restaurants nearby and 10 minutes to the waterfront. Lastly the decor is truly Victorian and the breakfast is delicious.

Decoration is really beautiful everywhere and common area was very beautiful and relaxing. Helen is making a great effort to maintain the historic Victroian-era feel of the home. We stayed at 2nd floor, a room with sitting area. We initially booked for two nights but extended four more nights because we fell in love in this beautiful B&B. I also appriciate Erin from Tourist Information who recomend this B&B. Thank you very much, Helen.

191janiceh (10/5): Very grand with historic charm! - We just spent five nights at Fitzroy and it was wonderful. I've never been inclined toward B & Bs but this wasn't a typical B & B - very private, had our own key to front door and room to come and go whenever we wanted. We stayed in the Alexander room on the first floor, complete with sunroom and private veranda. Helen and her staff are fantastic, always friendly and eager to please. The breakfasts that are included in the price are delicious! Highly recommend this beautiful inn!

Daisy (8/5): Very good - Great location, easy to walk into the main district and he waterfront. Private parking available. Fridge, coffee and tea always available. Air conditioning a little noisy, but potentially to be expected when retrofitted to a heritage building.

Raegan (10/5): - My husband and I and our three young kids absolutely loved our stay at Fitzroy Hall. Helen was lovely and hospitable, and is an excellent cook! We all looked forward to her homemade breakfasts each morning and enjoyed her stories about growing up farming in PEI. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, and staying in a historic building in Charlottetown really added to our experience. The location was excellent - close to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. This was my husband’s first experience at a B&B and we would definitely do it again!
Karen (10/5): Perfect location for a charm filled stay in Charlottetown - Absolutely everything! King room with jacuzzi tub. Bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a very long time. Full of charm. Nothing except maybe some jam for toast at breakfast

Shelly (8/5): Very comfortable, great location and excellent accommodation. - Breakfast was very good. Lots of choices with coffee, variety of juices, cereals, eggs and/or Pancakes and French Toast. There was lots of extras like a small fridge in room with access to water and ice as well as access to a mini kitchen with a sink, microwave, coffeemaker and kettle with herbal teas as well as cookies. The only thing that could have been better is having air conditioning in the room as it was a bit stuffy and warm. Also, it would have been nice to have a hair dryer in the room as well. Otherwise everything was absolutely great.

933lynnw (10/5): Weekend Get Away - From the time we checked in until we left we were made to feel very welcome. Helen, the owner, met us at the door and told us she had upgraded our room to one on the main floor. Awesome room with its own sunroom for relaxing or reading. Her breakfasts were great with a chance to pick what you wanted. We were the only guests for the 3 nights we were there so we got lots of attention! We loved the whole feel of the house and I should mention that this was our 1st B&B experience but it won't be our last. We have already told Helen to expect us again next year.

We felt like we were staying with family. Our only issue was the bed could have been a little more comfortable and the air conditioning is broken/ making weird noises.

JTJMOM2015 (10/5): Absolutely Charming - This is a beautiful B&B within blocks of downtown. It is charming, beautifully decorated with anituqes and lots to wander and look at. The hosts were friendly and breakfast with the housemates was a great opportunity to meet other people and share stories of what we had seen and done. We stayed 3 nights, the room was clean and comfortable, each room with it's own bathroom. I would definitely recommend Fitzroy Hall for your stay in Charlottetown.

We loved our room on the third floor (the Fitzroy Hideaway), which felt like a nest and was private, comfortable, spacious, and quiet.
