Guest Reviews
- ANGELA (10/5): Lovely place to stay - The room had a nice view of the boats and liked the little snacks left on room, crisps biscuits water, and could help yourself to shower gel tea coffee milk from the landing, iron and board outside rooms and hair straighteners along with hairdryer in room, never known that before,,also nice being able to bring fish and chips in the pub and eat them, and condiments provided free, the cocktails were lovely and the two for £15 were well worth the money, only a few minutes walk to train station too so that's good,,would definitely stay here again and would recommend Only niggle, nowhere in bathroom to put wash bags etc, could of done with a shelf or something, but that's the only thing I could fault, looked like a shelf had been there at some point
- Alan (10/5): - Liked where it was situated, easy access to all amenities
- Robert (9/5): -
Nichts
- Anthony (5/5): We liked the way you could help yourself to Tea,coffee etc, etc. - The Location was good.A very comfortable bed.A tiny bathroom with a good sized shower. The smell very pungent. The drinks were very expensive.
- Lindsay (8/5): Great location with fair room - Room was a decent size and clean and had a digital tv and tea/coffee facilities and very close to town centre Toilet seat didn’t work properly. No shelf in the bathroom so toiletries were on the back of the toilet. On 2nd flood which was difficult for my mother who’s in her 70’s
- john (7/5): very nice - great location nice pub small shower space, expensive parking in Whitby.
- John (9/5): Fantastic stay. May need a tweak or two to the shower cubicle. - Great location, superb staff, nice room, good tea, coffee and biscuits stock. The only downside was the shower cubicle which was a squeeze to get in and out of. I'm of medium build and would imagine a person of a somewhat larger build would really struggle.
- Allen (5/5): OK - Location is perfect Cramped room, dated, bed too small and not comfortable, no hanging space, very basic.
- John (10/5): Great place to stay. - Excellant location and the staff were so friendly, rooms so clean.

- Hetherton (10/5): Whitby Weekend - Maria, our host, was extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a standard double (Room 1) but there was plenty of room for the 2 of us and the dog and it had a great view over the harbour. Brilliant location for popping back to during the day. Parking was a bit of an issue! There is a public car park straight across the road from the pub but it's very small and took ages to park on the day we arrived. It's also fairly expensive on top of the cost of yoir stay - over £13 per day. But, we realised that Whitby is a small town and parking is limited so there wasn't much choice.
- Kelly (9/5): Great stay will definitely return - Great location,
Clean and nice staff Not much storage space for clothes
- Diane (9/5): - Location was very good! A bit noisy.
- Konrad (10/5): -
- Danny (7/5): -
- Margaret (10/5): - I stayed in the single room, was lovely to have a double bed which was very comfy. The hosts have thought of everything, despite the tiny size of the room and en suite, it had everything you could think of, hairdrier with bracket next to the mirror, ample clothes hanging facility. crisps and choccy biscuits, tea coffee etc. The hot water was great , good pressure in the shower.. Great to lie in bed and see the harbour! no improvement needed here
- Zlatica (8/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): Fab stay - Fab night away lovely staff
- Jessica (10/5): - The extra freebies were a nice touch. The beds were really comfy and slept really well. First time staying and definitely would come back. The singers Saturday night were amazing too.

- Alec M (10/5): Top pub - Really welcoming and genuinely lovely people. And the best location. Great pub too. I had room 5, which is perfect for 1 person.
- Kim (7/5): Lovely pub, friendly staff. While I understand we booked a room above a pub the price seems more of a ‘boutique’ price - Staff were warm and welcoming. Lovely friendly pub Our room was clean and tidy but it was a very small room with a small bed
- Peter (7/5): -
- Tracy (9/5): -
- Kate (8/5): Super welcoming and friendly, loved view from room and great location - Compact room , super comfortable bed and great view N/a

- Alan (8/5): -
- Amanda (9/5): -
- Mandy (8/5): -
- Alison (8/5): It made a good basis for what we had to do during the 3 days we were there - take photos and go to p - We walked to the Whistling Kettle for one morning's breakfast and the Wetherspoons Angel for the other. The hair dryer didn't work and the heater didn't work.
- Kate (10/5): AMAZING - Everything, the pub was sweet, the rooms were brilliant and staff were amazing and friendly Nothing everything was epic
- Samantha (9/5): Weekend Break - A very welcoming, busy 'little' dog friendly pub.
With comfortable rooms, offering everything you need, in a great location.
Would definitely go again with our little frenchie Ernie he loved it too 😀 Parking is a bit of a problem!
- Sarah (9/5): - Room was comfortable and clean.
Pub was great and you can bring in your own fish and chips which is a great idea.
Plenty to do in the area.
We will be back next year
- Emma (10/5): Great location, friendly staff , comfy and clean - Really friendly staff, easy check in and out.
Plenty of tea/coffee/toilet rolls available
Great location, lovely cosy pub,the bed was comfy
Would definitely stay again Nothing
- Walker (9/5): -
- Jeanette (8/5): Great location! - Great location, friendly staff. Room was ready earlier than expected, which was nice.
We had a double room on the top floor, overlooking the harbour, the room was clean and warm. Plenty of pillows, tea and coffee facilities, including chocolate biscuits and 'help yourself' top ups including toilet roll and soap/ shower gel
The only thing I would say was the shower being on the top floor had little power, so maybe an upgrade in a power shower might help.... also the door up to the rooms was unlocked and this was accessed through the pub, so could cause a bit of concern with safety, otherwise overall, met our needs well.
If they maybe put on the option of breakfast, that would have been great, but so close to the old and new town, this didn't pose a problem as there were plenty of cafes , bakeries etc to meet our needs.
Live music both Friday and Saturday nights which was an added bonus.
One thing I will say, the fish and chip shops locally close early, so be warned!!!
Thanks team Endeavour Lack of food choices, particularly at breakfast time
- Clare (9/5): Loved it - Lovely view, very central and great extras Nothing
- Suzanne (10/5): -
- Sheena (3/5): - [No breakfast] Tiny room. Kept banging head on TV monitor mounted by window. Traffic noise. Grumpy staff.
- Glenn (9/5): Comfortable and cosy , exactly what we wanted and wasn’t disappointed, can’t wait to return - The cleanliness was superb!!
A warm friendly welcome
Location was great Nothing to dislike

- Vicki (10/5): Fabulous - Well maintained, up to date rooms, comfortable bed, great location, great products in room hair dryer, iron etc with added touches with snacks awaiting in room was lovely extra tea coffee etc on landing free WiFi was a bonus. Unfortunately no parking voucher but they do have a public car park over the road which wasn’t too bad
- Yvonne (10/5): Second visit, be back again - Room was spotless, staff fantastic, location great
- Evie (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were very friendly on arrival, the view was beautiful. Perfect location if you don’t want too much of a walk into town Everything was perfect however a fridge would have been great!!
- Linda (10/5): The staff at the Endeavour were lovely- kind, helpful and welcoming. A great experience - Breakfast wasn’t an option at the Endeavour.
Tom who greeted us there was lovely- friendly, helpful and professional. He was very welcoming to our dog as well as to us. Breakfast on site would have been nice but not a problem because of the many local cafes.
A small shower gel in the bathroom would be lovely but again not a problem at all.
- Pamela (7/5): It was ok - The room was lovely and cosy and clean and some of the staff was helpful and friendly I could not get many channels on the TV and I mentioned it the lady said it must have been a seagull that has knocked the TV Arial and the shower was leaking so I had to put the shower head in the sink I already know about the shower as there told me when I arrived at the pub
- Karen (10/5): The guy who checked us in was one of the happiest friendliest person . Very welcoming to our staffy - Location excellent 💯 going to revisit. No comment nothing could of been better

- Penelope (9/5): Great location, simple and comfortable accommodation with a welcoming atmosphere - Good location for exploring Whitby with plenty of pubs and eateries close by. Great spot for the coastal walk to Robins Hood bay and visiting the Abbey. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the Wharf, plenty of tea/coffee etc. Staff friendly especially the cleaner. The pub itself is beautiful and felt Christmassy and welcoming. A little cool at times especially window side. A shelf in the bathroom would be a great added touch.

- Barbara (8/5): Really enjoyed our stay in Whitby and the hotel provided a nice break. T - Location was excellent and the views over the harbour were excellent, beautiful sunset. Friendly staff and lovely bar area with a very good selection of drinks. Bed was very comfy and lots of refreshments available on the landing to take into your room eg, tea ,coffee, biscuits, crisps and water, also shower cream available Bigger bathroom and somewhere to put toiletries. Staircase going downstairs into the bar area is enclosed and could do with a notice on the door to say watch for the bottom stair. I completely never seen the last stair and fell straight out of the door
- Dave (10/5): -
- nigel (10/5): - Rooms had been recently refurbished and looked great. Very comfortable beds. Lots of hot water. Views straight into the harbour. Unlimited Yorkshire Tea, penguins and wagon wheels 😊. Location perfect for wandering into town, the port or upto the abbey. The parking was always going to be difficult but it was expected. The car park over the road took a couple of visits and a reasonable wait to get a space. Then just left it there for the whole visit.
Otherwise no complaints
