Guest Reviews
- donrN6607JC (2/5): Bait and Switch- Very Disappointing - For anyone thinking about staying here, be warned. Ask up front if there is an event and don not stay here if the hotel is hosting one. Below please find the follow up which I sent to the General Manager. He did not even respond:
Mr. Houseman-
As someone who runs a business I am always appreciative of feedback from my customers.
I stayed at your Springhouse main property from Thursday thru Sunday this past weekend. We had three rooms as my wife and I were hosting my grown children and their spouses for the long weekend.
We had stayed at your "Inn" property previously and I was enthusiastic to stay in the main property this trip.
1) Reservations folks were fabulous...we had a date change post the original booking and they were extremely helpful and accomodating.
2) Front desk folks were warm, helpful and professional
3) Meals and wait staff were great
4) Closure of the entire property for most of Saturday afternoon and all evening was very disappointing. We had no advance communication of this closure and one of the reasons which we booked the main property was to be able to enjoy the outside lawn, bar and restaurants. During that long length of time we were not even allowed to egress or ingress via the main entrance.
From my perspective this should have been clearly communicated prior to booking so that I could make an informed decision whether this was acceptable to me and my family. I would also suggest that a discounted offer should have been presented as part of the option when booking. To not have done so leaves me with the feeling that the property elected to make additional revenue via the wedding while degrading the experience of other full paying guests. Not having use of the facilities without proper advanced notice honestly feels like a bait and switch.
In turn, the next morning I asked the front desk for a late check out on one of the three rooms. I was promptly told "no" by the elderly gentleman with a not so pleasant attitude. I conveyed to him that given the situation from the previous day's lack of ability to utilize the facilities (especially without advance notice) that I would appreciate some accomodation. He told me that I had been given notice in the confirmation email. He then asked me what time I was requesting. Although I realized that it would probably be difficult, I requested 3:30. He said that would absolutely not be possible, but that he would get back to me with another possible time. He never did!
I subsequently reviewed the confirmation email and note the content below:

I readily admit that I did not read this when it was sent, but still feel strongly that the wedding closure should have been conveyed prior to booking. Secondly, this does note convey the truth...that in addition to the dining facilities...all of the bars, porches and outside lawn area, which we so enjoy, would be closed.
Thankfully we were able to enjoy the facilities on Thursday and Friday. If we were only staying Saturday night we would be even more disappointed than we already are.
While you may not agree with our perspective, I know that I would appreciate a customer of my business caring enough to provide their thoughts.
- Sunshine51332946432 (10/5): Visit the spring house - The Spring House is my favorite restaurant a must stop every year on the island. The cuisine never disappoints. The professional welcoming service. The location and ambiance is an incredible experience. a beautiful view of island and the ocean. Cocktails on Adirondack chairs before dinner with memories of my children rolling down the hill ..
- mufg03 (10/5): Great stay - Great stay, 5 women, stayed in the barn apartment. I was really nice, roomy and comfortable. Main bathroom was a little small and didn’t have any shelves in the shower but plenty of towels.
- Arancio5 (2/5): Horrible - We booked this hotel and Unbeknownst to us they were having a wedding which took over the entire hotel! We booked it because of the porch and grounds but we’re not able to enjoy any of that because the bar and porch and pretty much most of the hotel was overtaken by the wedding party. The music and crowd of people were so loud we were not able to relax and enjoy our stay!! Horrible experience would not come again!!
- Haw93 (2/5): Disappointing - I would like to file a complaint with the manager. We sat in the lounge area since we were not looking for full meals. The bartender sold us 2 dozen oysters and drinks. When we walked toward our seats we were told we could not bring the oysters to the lounge area, only drinks. There were no seats open at the bar. I asked the hostess if we could sit at an empty table for ten minutes to enjoy the oysters. They said no. The table sat empty while we gulped down 2 dozen oysters dodging wait staff and squeezing one by one at the bar. When we returned to the lounge area the patrons adjacent us were served food at their lounge chairs! We complained to the manager and nothing was done. Extremely rude and disappointing
- 318raphaelabc (2/5): Disorganized - We were very disappointed with our stay at Spring house. There does not seem to be anyone in charge and the staff was incredibly unhelpful. We booked for the long weekend and it turned out the hotel was hosting two weddings and closed off much of the property for paying hotel guests while the weddings were going on. They also did nothing to make this up to guests in any way. The few times I did need to ask the front desk for something I was greeted with hostility. We will not be back, this hotel is currently very poorly run.
- janicek891 (6/5): Nice but could be spectacular with management’s interaction - Pros:
Location. It is a short, 5-7 minute walk (uphill) from the ferry.
Lovely hillside location with a pretty view of the ocean.
Old, historic building (1862), impeccably maintained from a visual perspective with not even a spec of chipped paint.
Adirondack chairs on the front lawn are perfect to sit, sip and enjoy the ocean view.
Outside bar on the outside porch is nice.
Lovely, expansive outside porch for the entire front of the building.
Cocktail hour pianist playing pop tunes (Billy Joel, etc.) on the lawn each night.
Cons:
Despite the stated check-in time of 3p, our room was not ready until 4p upon arrival. Since we made our ferry reservations and other island plans with respect to the 3p checkin, this was disappointing and the front desk staff was not apologetic other than to say, “we cannot rush housekeeping”. Yes you can. You can instill upon them that the customer comes first and that they are expecting their room to be available by 3p check-in. This same thing happened on our second day whereby we arrived back from our day of excursions at 3p only to see that our room had not been serviced.
With respect to the above, no apology was given to us. It was only after expressing our dissatisfaction at check-in that perhaps something could be done to accommodate our inconvenience and that perhaps a complimentary glass of wine could be offered to us? It was. Upon arriving in our room, two splits of Prosecco were waiting for us. They did the right thing but why did this need to be so frustrating?
More: despite the visually impeccable maintenance, routine maintenance needs to be given: shower dripped non-stop, toilet stopped flushing, bathroom sink was very slow.
Summary: nice place but we expected more given the reputation.
Cheers!
- 946gigik (10/5): Best food and service ever! - My husband and I went to B.I. for our anniversary weekend. Everything was perfect...our stay at Rose farm Inn away from drunken crowd, Next door was the Spring House Hotel and had amazing appetizers at bar and anniversary dinner out on deck w. ocean view, sausage broccoli rabe eggroll, fried calamari lemon aioli, sea scallops, mussels my chef husband was 'blown away' by the food and service was outstanding. don't forget the flourless choc cake and creme brulee
Sat night had guitarist out on lawn Couldn't ask for anything better than this!
- luv4phood (10/5): Simply lovely! - This is the perfect spot on Block Island. The hotel sits atop a lovely green lawn with ocean views. Guests of the hotel and visitors alike are welcome to enjoy the view and a drink. Our room was located on the third floor with a lovely ocean view. The room was a bit tight but still comfortable. We were surprised to find a fully updated and spacious bathroom. For those on the fence about the need for air conditioning: you need ac even if it is cool because everything stays damp because you are on an island.
- ND8675309 (10/5): Barn Apartment stay - We had a wonderful stay in the barn apartments (the 3br - room 501). It was extremely spacious with plenty of room to spread out, a well-stocked kitchen and full-size fridge, and 2 well appointed, clean, modernized bathrooms. We felt very comfortable and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed (for example, more than enough towels for the group - a rarity in a hotel!). We only had one request during our stay and it was met quickly and professionally. A lovely small balcony as well to enjoy morning coffee with great views. You wouldn’t have known there was a restaurant below - our sleep was not disturbed at all. Would absolutely recommend the Spring House and more specifically, the Barn Apartments to any group traveling to Block Island.
- timothybZ9 (10/5): Weeknight stay in June - Fantastic, updated room with a great view overlooking the adirondacks and the ocean. Welcoming staff that allowed holding bags before checkin and after checkout. Perfect place to stay during the week and is a nice walk to center of town. Good restaurant on first floor with a great bar with options of seating around the property.
- Krystal509 (10/5): Beautiful hotel and restaurant - This was our first stay at the Spring House and we loved it. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable, the staff was very nice, and we overall enjoyed our stay. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. We loved sitting on the porch and on the lawn in their Adirondack chairs, just relaxing while reading a book or watching the ocean. We ate twice at the main restaurant during our stay, the food was very good and we had great service both times. We would be happy to stay here again.
- 404myrnas (2/5): Customer Service and a diagnosis of Covid - The Spring House Staff was very nice, but would not bend for customer satisfaction. I visited the hotel the year before and decided to make this a yearly trip. My husband tested positive the day before we were to leave to go to Spring House this year. I listened to my doctor and my husband quarantined for 5 days. I thought it was best not spread the virus. I lost $800 and they would not give me even a partial refund. After many calls and a promise for a gift card, which I never got, I sent a letter to the owners thinking they may be of some help. Not so much. I thought if I got a partial refund, I would go again next year, but not the case. I nor my friends or family will visit the hotel again!
- PoppaP54 (6/5): Maybe a Bit Below Average - Wednesday evening dinner in the main dining room started off well with tasty cocktails of Paper Plane and Ruby Red Lemonade. However, once the glasses were empty, nobody came by to see if we wanted seconds. The New England Chowder delivered creamy broth, soft potatoes , and ample clams. A Wellness Salad was selected as an entree, and while it was fresh, the overall size, and particularly the amount of the added protein, was disappointing. The other entree was swordfish, which was ample in size, had tasty vegetables surrounding it, and was anointed with a delicious bluer blanc sauce. However, the center was not thoroughly cooked. We skipped dessert….in part because nobody came by to inquire whether we were interested in dessert. Service (with Sarah D), as suggested by comments above, was lacking…never came by to see how our meals were, and we had to flag down someone in order to get the bill. Whether this issue is house wide, or limited to our server we can’t say, but can only present our experience.
- 12itsv (2/5): Be Careful - Be careful about weddings occurring while you're staying there. You will be a second class citizen. They ban you from using any of the ocean facing part of the property. Difficult to even get into your room without walking through the wedding party. Definitely not worth the cost.
- O1362OWjosel (8/5): Amazing time - Amazing atmosphere around the hotels properties. The restaurant and live entertainment were super cool. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive. The guest and people stopping by for lunch or drinks and dinner were very friendly and so were their kids. The check in process was a little disturbing as since I checked in with my wife and my kids were staying at Ballards with grandma and I brought them up with me to the restaurant, the check in person after checking in blocked my keys as she thought that I was thinking of stuffing 5 kids into a couples only room and I was asked to show proof the rest of the family had a place to stay elsewhere in block island. I am glad this happened away from my lovely wife as I would be completely embarrassed that I was thought of in this manner. After I calmly repeated that my wife and I will be staying in the room and showed proof that my kids were staying at Ballards the person unblocked my keys and apologized. I guess one should not take their family up there if you are checking into a couples room as this front desk may think one is going to bring kids into a couples only room. Aside from this ugly misunderstanding I loved the place.
- KimBostonMa (8/5): Will return for dinner at the Barn! - First time visiting Block Island. My husband and and I loved the Spring House, especially our dinner at the Barn- we had a fillet that was better than the Capital Grille!
Hang out on the chairs and have a drink and a snack while listening to live entertainment (mellow) or take a walk down the road to Ballard’s a fun venue with live bands.
Looking forward to our next trip here.
- OnAir647917 (2/5): stolen bicycle - We made a reservation online for a room that slept 4 with an ocean view. While we were on the ferry, we received a call that the room was not available. After several phone calls, we finally did receive the room that we booked, but it was a stressful start. Later that day, our daughter's bike was stolen from the property. The management was dismissive when I reported it and laughed that this happens all of the time on Block island. They do not have signage at the bike racks or cameras, so beware
- pamelacc75 (8/5): Historic hotel, excellent dining, lovely views outside - My husband and I enjoyed celebrating his 50th birthday weekend at The Spring House hotel. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and it was quite busy. We arrived early so they checked our bag while we set out to explore the island. The staff was very friendly and eager to answer our questions about what to see and do. Their enthusiasm demonstrated their love of the Block. The cocktails at the inside bar were interesting and expertly crafted, but don't order a mudslide here - try one of their specialty cocktails like the Sicilian Lemonade or Spring House Ricky! Both are divine. We were sadly not able to enjoy a drink on the lawn in their famous Adirondack chairs, they were always full. I wish they'd add some more, there was plenty of room. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. All you need for a good night's rest after walking all day, but not a place you'd want to hang out in for long. The view is not what I'd necessarily boast as ocean view. Yes, you could glimpse the ocean from the small dormer window. Still, it is one of the more luxurious hotels on Block Island. The views from the wrap-around porch are nothing short of stunning. We did not have a chance to eat at the barn, but did dine at the restaurant inside the Spring House, as well as on the porch. The food was delicious, clearly made with the freshest ingredients. The margarita pizza was hands down the best I've ever had, and I'm from the New Haven area so I've had some good pies. There is some beautiful artwork on display throughout the property, worth taking a few moments to look at. Overall, it was a lovely stay.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Very spacious and comfortable.
- KEVIN (10/5): - Great staff & accomodations😎
- charlie12boston (6/5): Customer service is lacking - We have stayed here several times since getting married here over 20 years ago. The location and views are exceptional and I could spend half the day sitting on their porch. The customer service however was lacking during this stay. My daughter was sick with a stomach flu the first day and after spending the day in the room requested a grilled cheese at dinner time. Even though they have a full service restaurant and childrens menu they refused to make my daughter a grilled cheese because they don't allow "modifications or substitutions" to the menu. Seriously you can't put some cheese between two slices of bread for a sick kid? Aside from that the stay was ok. The rooms have been updated but are VERY small. We will probably try another hotel the next time we visit BI.
- annbC8082RE (6/5): Beautiful setting, but the hotel service needs some TLC - The hotel has a gorgeous setting overlooking the ocean. Great front porch for relaxing. Fantastic bed and pillows (wish I could have brought them home). However, the room was small and the bathroom was tiny! To get ice you have to take your ice bucket to the front desk and ask them to get it for you. No elevator so you are hauling your bags up and down. This was an extremely expensive stay for what you got - no breakfast, not even a cup of coffee downstairs without a charge. Front desk said they would email me my receipt - still haven’t seen it 4 days later! No front desk service after about 8:30 at night. Not what I was expecting…
- David (10/5): - Wonderful staff, very thoughtful. Since it was March and there were few guests they volunteered that we could have access to our room up until our 6 PM ferry. Wow!
- Michele (10/5): - Excellent property. The heating unit in our room, room 201, was noisier than expected.
- CHristopher (10/5): Excellent place to ring in the New Year - The stay was exceptional! The facility is clean, well furnished, the fixtures are top quality and the food was excellent. Chris, the manager could not have been more helpful. We definitely would come again and were made to feel so welcome and comfortable.
- williamaF8058HE (6/5): Disappointed - We have been going to the Spring House for years and our stays there and dining experience has been very positive. Arguably it is the best place on the island. However this summer we had a different experience. At dinner the day we arrived our waitress informed us that the hotel would be closed the next day due to a wedding. The entire hotel was shut down for the wedding and we were staying there. The wedding took place out front so the out door seating on the lawn, the porch, the bar, and the restaurant were closed. All the while we were paying guests. Also the wedding band rocked our room that night. I addressed all of this with the manager who informed me that at check in we were informed as noted by our initials on the registration form. So legally he had us. Ethically he did not. So beware that when you reserve a room at the Spring House the hotel may be closed during your stay due to a wedding and that your stay could be dramatically altered. William Andrews
- Kathryn (10/5): - Shout out to Clara, she was very friendly and professional. Follow up on a request was timely. Can’t wait to come back.
- Christopher (10/5): - Quiet, clean. Dinner at the Barn and Breakfast with Adelfo excellent. Limited space, make reservations.
- Carol (10/5): - Our favorite location on Block We've been going for decades & have stayed almost everywhere!
Love ve that it's east walking distance to Old & New Harbors. Newer property but fits in w the "vibe" of other inns in area.
Staff lovely (especially Sasha & Andrika and both morning chefs fun to talk to & helpful, and " made to order" breakfasts a relaxing treat- well spaced tables indoors & out on patio. Peaceful & quiet and immaculate, spacious room.
- Michelle (10/5): - The Inn was perfect for our needs. Close enough to walk to the Springhouse or down into town! Breakfast and happy hour included! Staff was great, room was clean! And we got a great price on Expedia!
- Peter (10/5): - Great place - super great breakfast crew!!!
- David (10/5): - Great location to "downtown" area. No one present upon arrival to check our bags prior to check in time. Beyond that the room and property was great!
- David (10/5): - Best place to stay on the Island. Great breakfast made to order!
- Sebastian (10/5): - Clean and great location.
- Robert (10/5): - friendly inn with a great location! Terrific breakfast!
- Kevin (10/5): - Beautiful view from the front porch with several Adirondack chairs. Excellent breakfast and the staff were outstanding!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The front porch has the most beautiful view of the water. In addition, the staff that made breakfast were kind and knowledgeable (and breakfast was delicious :)).
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The rooms were very clean and super cute, easy walk to the main strip.
Biggest complaint is that the bed was incredibly hard and I couldn't sleep either night we were there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our check-in was delayed two hours. Given the cost of the room, this was disappointing. However, the room itself, once we were in it, was lovely!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was amazingly clean and comfortable. Everyday we came back to a cleaned room and bathroom with bed made and fresh towels. Personalized breakfast in the morning is nice.
For the cost, it would be nice to have an event such as the Wine and Nibbles that is offered to guests staying at 1661 each evening.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a perfect getaway to celebrate our anniversary! The Inn was wonderful and the island was perfectly quiet!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Inn was clean and well appointed. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast service was great.
There was a lot of door slamming at all hours, and our room was close to an exit, but we attributed that to the other guests behavior and not in the control of the inn. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend it to others.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We liked the location and the cleanliness, but nothing worked in the room! Satellite tv card was not valid, so no tv, and the alarm clock radio also did not work. Our biggest complaint was the other folks staying around us. They were loud and obnoxious all night. Going to BI off-season shouldn’t require ear plugs to sleep, but this trip did. Also didn’t appreciate the staff making comments after we walked away thinking we were out of range. Not very professional.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great breakfast included with the stay, generous-sized room and very clean.
- Carol (10/5): I'd stay again - Just steps away from Spring House, the Inn is quieter and more modern. The included breakfasts were excellent as was the service. The farm animals next door were an added plus to our views. I'd stay again.
- Stacey (8/5): Will be back! - Great location - close to main strip yet quiet. Nice balcony and modern accommodations. Great spot to walk to Spring House for sunrise and sunset but not stay near the crowds.
- Robert (10/5): - Fantastic location and great views!! Service and staff were top notch as well. The Inn is located on a beautiful property with endless views of the Atlantic. We would definitely stay again!
- Stephen (6/5): Sad day at the Block - Paid a lot for two nights. Room phone was useless. Called front desk for some more towels. Recording said that they were closed. Called main Hotel and received a recording to leave a message and someone would get back to me tomorrow. I've stayed places for much less and received more amenities and perks than this place. The Inn was clean and the grounds well maintained. Another drawback was breakfast. No meats offered with your order. No bacon, ham or sausage. Really hoped for more for the price.
- John (10/5): - Wonderful place with a fantastic view and delicious breakfast!
- Deborah (10/5): luxury on block island - Amazing inn. Luxurious. Deck had great views of ocean. Breakfast was delicious. Walking distance to downtown and many restaurants.
- Matt (10/5): - Short walk to the old harbor. Nice views of the ocean. Close to exotic animal farm. Carter, the Chef for breakfast was excellent. Breakfast was great, he was very professional and personable.
Kevin was also very helpful checking in, storing bags etc.
- Thank (10/5): - This is an outstanding place to relax. The only bad thing is that there is no way on or off the island except by a boat and the ride can be very very rough. So be sure to check and avoid stormy or windy weather if you don’t want to get seasick. Or at least take medication to avoid motion sickness before boarding the boat to Block Island.
Otherwise this inn is amazing and I highly recommend staying at this inn.
The rooms are very clean. Breakfast was delicious and made by a chief named Carter who makes eggs to your liking.
Around 5:30 pm there is wine and cheese which was not only relaxing and tasty but was also an opportunity to meet other interesting guests.
Kevin who works there is attentive and helpful. He is always available and went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was perfect.
Thank you Kevin.
We chose to book this inn because of the great ratings. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to go again.
- Albert (10/5): - Staff was great.
- Mira (10/5): A wonderful Inn - The Inn at Spring house was amazing. Not only were the views breath taking but the breakfast was 5 star. and the Wine and cheese at 5:30-6:00 was terrific and so unexpected .The grounds are beautiful and the location was perfect. Not to mention our room was stunning and new with air conditioning! I could go on but you have to experience it for yourself1 Will definitely go back.
- Antonio (10/5): Almost perfect. - Almost perfect. Usually the pictures are staged, these were not, the room looked exactly like the pictures, we even got the exact same room as the pictures. It was a beautiful room. If there was a knock about the room it was the pillows, too flimsy, had to roll them, but the bed was nice. Breakfast service was very good, with eggs-to-order and select pastries. They also offered a wine and cheese hour. Dinner at the Spring House was excellent though a little more expensive than out in town, but it is rated as one of the best on the island. Block Island is a hidden gem and the Inn at Spring House was a diamond amongst it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice clean property, great staff and spacious room with a view!!!
Walk to ferry a plus !!
- John (10/5): - Love the Inn. All the comforts of a modern hotel with a old time feel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Full complementary breakfast from 8 - 10 every morning, and if 8 am isn’t early enough for you the chef will come in early. Complementary wine and cheese spread at 5 - 7 pm.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was great. The location was very convenient to downtown and very quiet. The happy hour and breakfast amenities were delicious. The ocean view was somewhat limited but still beautiful. Noticed a few areas of the bathroom seemed unfinished but still fully functional.
- Elle (10/5): - The property and rooms are beautiful, great location, complimentary farm fresh breakfast made to order, complimentary water bottles, juices and coffee.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very convenient location and walkable.
Newer facility.
- ScottVogel (10/5): - Really nice accommodations. Clean and light with wrap around terrace with ocean views.
Excellent breakfast and wine & cheese at 5:30. The staff were very accommodating and they also shuttle you around the island
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was great, view was amazing and property was just elegant!
- Verified traveler (10/5): 5 Star Service - This was our first trip to Block Island. Chris at the front desk and Adolfo the chef at The Barn are amazing people and made our stay even more special. Adolfo is an amazing Chef, everything he prepared from the fire wood grilled salad to the papadelli Bolognese was something you get at 5 Star restaurant. Chris was so friendly and helpful giving us information about the island. It was overall a wonderful weekend and we would highly recommend staying at the The Inn at Spring Hill. The rooms were beautiful and so clean with fantastic views.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Off Season - Perfect. Pick up at the ferry. Room upgrade. Lovely accommodation, tasty breakfast, complimentary wine and cheese. Block Island is very low key but enjoyable at low season. Spring House very well done.
- Jocelyn (10/5): The best place to stay on Block Island - Absolutely loved this place!!! I would never stay anywhere else!!! The staff is super friendly, the room was very clean and spacious and the view on the balcony is gorgeous.
- Sue & Kirk (10/5): The inn at springhouse is stunning! - Can't say enough about the hotel. It was beautiful....walking distance to everything. The balcony overlooked the ocean and behind the hotel was a beautiful farm. The hotel concierge (Claudia) was very warm and welcoming. Anything you needed...she was there. Absolutely magical island getaway!
- Rosemary (10/5): A gem on Block Island - The Inn was new, well appointed and beautifully decorated. The setting was perfect, overlooking the ocean a lovely little farm and beautiful Block Island countryside. We loved the wonderful breakfasts prepared each morning by Adolopho with a smile. The wine and cheese pairings in the evening while sitting on the deck was a pleasant way to cap off a day spent at the beach.
- David (10/5): Awesome Room, Amazing Service! - Amazing room and Incredible service the room was clean and comfortable with the LG Ductless Split Heat Pump and the staff was absolutely Incredible! Thank you!
- Kathleen (8/5): Many visits, 1st time over night - We had a very nice stay here at the Inn...Its new which means its very clean...We like clean!!! We were in room 201 which was very nice with a wonderful East view. The complimentary wine was a nice touch as was the free breakfast. Staff very friendly (chef, check in people, cleaning lady) Bathroom is huge, too big should have made the room a little bigger. Hard to get into closet with rug. A sitting chair/area would be a nice touch in the room. Also, a small refrigerator would be a good idea. Not all electrical outlets worked. I told my husband upon leaving that they should do more with the landscaping at the Inn. Although it is okay, they could use more potted flowers and hangers around the house and walkway/patio. We couldn't help but to notice the beautiful landscaping at the 1661 inn directly across the street. But overall it was a wonderful stay and we would be happy to return.
