Guest Reviews
- Mike (2/5): - Hotel is closed. Derelict building, windows covered, gate padlocked shut. Don't book it - it's no longer operating.
- 566emilyjanec (2/5): Cancelled my booking with no reason before I even managed to get there - Didn’t even manage to get to my booking date of July 2025 before they decided to cancel my booking even though it was made a year ago. No reason for cancellation and impossible to contact them, OYO customer service were no help, hotels.com are uncontactable. But from the rest of the reviews it looks like I dodged a bullet here. Absolutely hideous experience and didn’t even get to the hotel.
- alanbB2773CW (2/5): Disaster - We got to the place on the Friday around 6.30 pm to find the front doors chained shut, no notes or away of making contact with anyone. we spent 40min trying to find another place to stop, After a few weeks i get a parking fine for being on the car park of the Hotel, have been in touch with the booking agent and cant get a refund.
- Alan (2/5): Closed - When we got there the doors were changed shut locked like the place was closed down
Could not find any one
How can I get a refund
- bungy0345 (2/5): Worst hotel experience of my life 🙄 - Absolute kip... Took 1 look at the room and left.. Cob webs everywhere... TV hanging off the wall... No lock for the bedroom door... Smell was shocking... Was at the loss of 100 euros but couldn't stay there... Booked travelodge in Salford and ran out the place...
- briansV9811CK (2/5): Awful place - From the moment we stepped into the hotel the stench in there was horrific. Something I couldn’t describe, we walked into the room and the stains that were on the wall looked like they have been there months if not years. The lights were broken off the wall, spider webs in the corner of the rooms. A broke off piece of wood in the corner also. The door had no lock also so there was no guarantee for our safety or security of our belongings. They should be ashamed of themselves. And just as we leave whilst my brothers phone was on charge he gets a shock from one of the sockets. Whilst we will be looking at bringing this further, we are still awaiting a refund from the hotel as you can not contact them directly. Please avoid this hotel for your own good !
- Lawrence (2/5): - Place was filthy.
- Andrews (2/5): - Unfortunately it was a very poor experience. My room was very dirty like it hasnt been cleaned for weeks if not months. Bedding had some sort of dry bugs shells asked to change at least the bedding but the new staff person changed us to a diffeeent room which not only was as dirty as the first room as it had a massive whole in the wall with weird messages written on the wall. Mattresses did not have a single spring working. Radiators was not working on both rooms. The hotel smell also not best. Ive stayed in many 3rd world really cheap hotels but this is by far my worse experience in my life. I do not recommend. It was really cheap but its a cheap that definitely is not worth it.
- sameer (2/5): THIRD CLASS HOTEL WITH SMELLY ROOMS - third class service no room lock no security smeely rooms and beds everything is third class A BiG BiG No …. guys don’t get fool
- Fawaz (2/5): - The smell, dirty, rough looking walls, no tv. No towels or soap until asked. Not sound proof. Really poor experience.
- Temitope (2/5): - This place was very terrible.
When I got to reception, I waited about 15mins before I got service.
There door to the corridor leading to the room had no handle and there was no lights so I had to use my phone torchlight to get to my room.
In the room, the TV was smashed with glass hanging off it. The room smelled and there was dead bugs hanging off the ceiling.
The bathroom floor was broken there was a visible crack in the which could have been dangerous if I had my bath in it.
I couldn't stay the night, I checked out immediately and complained to Expedia.
This place shouldn't be listed on any hotel booking site anywhere. If there was a rating less than 1 star, I'd give it.
- U (2/5): Don't even consider booking. Just run - My friends and I booked this room for a single night to sleep over in Manchester after seeing a show and it was just awful. We should have known it wasn't worth booking when we could even get in touch with anyone at the front desk with the reception number for queries about our booking. Then on arrival, the room itself looked like a battle royale had occured there the previous night with multiple holes in the walls and door of the bathroom. The bathroom also looked unfinished and unclean with missing tiles and a grotty shower cubicle. To top it all off, the room door wouldn't lock and when we brought it up to the manager, she was entirely unbothered, unhelpful, and first tried to gaslight us into thinking the door did lock, and when that failed to work, then tried to turn it on us for not realising that the lock didn't work and that we should've brought it to someone's attention sooner. She didn't even seem to care that we were 3 young women feeling very unsafe in a foreign space at close to midnight and after a minute of just staring at us blankly, she just walked away like nothing happened. We ended up having to just up and leave because it just didn't feel safe and wise to stay in such an awful and insecure place. Cost us £130 just to go back home since everywhere else was booked up as it was so late. I sadly can't add the video we took of the non-functional door lock, but here's photos of the doors and walls of the room.
- hybridh2024 (2/5): Do not waste your money! Health Hazard! - DISGUSTING. This hotel should be shut down immediately. I would not house animals there. We left and chose to drive 3.5 hours rather than staying in that hotel as we were left stranded. Rooms full of black mold, not just 1 or 2 rooms, nearly all of them. Like a horror movie. As soon as you walk in you are hit with the stench of damp and mold, which is unbearable. Room 2 (family room) had flooded carpet, with brown water coming up through it when walked on. Holes in walls, blood stains and god knows what else on the walls, felt physically sick. Please be aware your rooms do not lock and can be opened without a key card, which we found out when talking to others at the hotel. Complete false advertising, staff were not helpful and acted as if this is normal to have rooms in this state. I have never had such an awful experience with a hotel. I could not say one positive thing about this place. Save yourself the money and sleep on a park bench, you would have a better experience. Do not believe the photos on the website or replies from the property, this place needs to be insepcted by environmental health and closed down.
- Compass811495 (2/5): Hotel from hell - On arrival the hotel reception smelt really bad, there wasn't anyone on reception, I was waiting for about five minutes until anyone came, my room was horrendous, damp on the walls, stains on the carpet, no handles on the window and the smoke alarm was covered up with a black bag, the room was dirty.
- Linzi (2/5): Awful!!! - We stayed at The Weaste Hotel in Salford on Thursday evening and were very disappointed. The amount of rubbish and mould in the room was disgusting. If we hadn't have arrived late at night from the airport we'd have walked straight out.
I took photos of the used sanitary items and soiled tissues left in the bathroom, the blocked and dirty shower and the mould everywhere.
I tried looking for a member of staff to complain to but couldn't find anybody, despite repeatedly ringing the bell. I've also repeatedly contacted both Hotels.com and The Weaste Hotel for a refund with no answer.
- 806ellev (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!!! - The amount of rubbish and mould in the room was disgusting. If we hadn't have arrived late at night from the airport we'd have walked straight out.
Used sanitary items and soiled tissues left in the bathroom, blocked and dirty shower and mould everywhere.
I tried looking for a member of staff to complain to but couldn't find anybody, despite repeatedly ringing the bell. I've also repeatedly called with no answer.
- Willow (2/5): - Smells really bad, room want cleaned when we checked in and we just had to wait, bags on all the fire alarms? Idk man, so creepy.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Check in was at 3pm, the room assigned wasn’t clean, was given another room that wasn’t cleaned. Third room they gave me had broken drawers, you couldn’t fit around the sink to get to the toilet. The shower had mould in it. Reception guy had a tracksuit on and his personal beat headset on his head when he eventually appeared and the manager hung up the phone on me when I called the number at the desk to check in. I was woke up at four, which sounded like a nightclub going off. Turned out to be another guest partying on drugs. I would never recommend anyone to stay at this place. By far the worst I have ever stayed at in Manchester.
- Yasmin (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! - Walked in to the lobby where we were basically suffocated… told “told worry about the smell, we just had to spray some mosquito bug spray”
Waited ages to be checked in… when we got up to the room we noped out of there within 10 minutes instead choosing that driving another 3 hours home was preferable than staying here.
There was dirty marks all over the way, screws sticking out of the wall, something stuck all over the ceiling, huge dead spider smooshed into the ceiling, the TV WAS SMASHED UP and the socket for the TV was hanging partially out of the wall. There was damp in the room, unfinished plaster and a broken radiator. The bedding was stained and torn.
AND THAT WAS JUST THE BEDROOM!!!!
The bathroom also had screws hanging out the wall, presumably for the mirror that was no longer attached to the wall, the toilet did not flush the properly- probably for the best given that it was not even attached to the floor or wall merely sat held together but unsecured pipe work, hopes and wishes!!! There was about 1/8th of a dirty damp toilet roll and only 1 towel (for a double room)…. Not that that really mattered given that we couldn’t have a shower as there WAS A MASSIVE HOLE/CRACK IN THE SHOWER TRAY rendering it about as useful as a shower as a chocolate teapot!!!!
Wish I could upload more photos to show the full extent
- Sara (2/5): Dreadful place - How can i claim a refund for this booking, the hotel was dreadful with Mold in the rooms and the door key cards did not work leaving the rooms open for anyone to walk into, such an unpleasant visit with no safety measures in place, we ended up leaving and booking into another hotel
- Kris (2/5): Rat trap - Absolute disgrace of a place. Not even a hotel. More like a doss house for junkies. Checked in, given a key that didn’t work. Got another key for a room with someone in sitting there smoking dope. Got another room and it was filthy, smelt like a sewer, no toilet paper, no towels and the shower had fallen off the wall and just then just checked out. Dirty, smelly and I’m a contractor that’s stopped in some bad places over the years but this is certainly up there. Pictures are misleading so avoid this place.
- Greg (2/5): - I’ve worked all over the UK for 15 years and I’ve had quite a few experiences and roughed it here and there. I have never ever ever been to a place like this. Disgusting. Should be closed down immediately.
- Marie (2/5): Worst ever - My daughter and I recently stayed at Weastle Hotel, and it was the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a hotel. The room was dirty, with leftover food from previous guests, spiders, and a general absence of cleanliness. Even worse, the fire alarm in the room was covered, posing a serious safety risk. The lock on the door was broken and 'fixed' with tape.
The condition of the hotel was entirely unacceptable and did not match the description on Hotels.com. This is a clear failure of both the hotel and Hotels.com to uphold basic standards of hygiene, safety, and accuracy in advertising.
I have already contacted Hotels.com to formally raise a complaint and am expecting a resolution, including a full refund and compensation. If this is not addressed promptly, I will escalate my concerns to Trading Standards, Environmental Health, and other relevant authorities.
I would strongly advise potential guests to avoid this property until these issues are addressed and resolved.
This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I hope Hotels.com takes immediate action to prevent others from going through the same ordeal.
- Brad (2/5): - Was nothing like the pictures
- Verified traveler (2/5): Close this hotel down - This hotel needs closing down, it was dreadful. It smelled dank, there was mould, uncleaned room, it wasn’t even cheap!
The smoke alarm was dangling down and covered with a bag, there were exposed wires, blood on the mattresses, hairs and grime in the shower, no toilet roll, no coffee or tea, no hand soap!
This was an absolutely unacceptable experience.
- Y6400YOhelenw (2/5): Things that go bump in the night - The worst Hotel I have ever stayed in!
No wifi, no towels, all windows broken absolutely filthy with mold dust and the rest!
Needs ripping down how some sites rate this as 4.6 I don't know.
Not a double 3/4 bed door would not lock so jad to baracade ourselves in.
Please don't waste tour money.
- Benjamin (2/5): gross - we was in the room for aboit 10 minutes and walked out. absolutely stunk, damp walls, mouldy shower was disgusting need a refund
- Stella (2/5): - That wasn't a room to live. Looks like a dirty warehouse. The bathroom extremely dirty, as well as the floor and the walls, full of dust and no heating and hot water.
- Muhammad (2/5): -
My stay at the Weaste Hotel Manchester was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I entered, it was clear that this establishment fell well below acceptable standards. The rooms were not only dirty but permeated with an overpowering, musty smell that seemed embedded in every carpet and piece of fabric. Despite being advertised with a TV and a tea/coffee facility, there was neither in sight, leaving me with none of the basic amenities I expected.
When I approached the receptionist about the smell and general state of the room, I was met with an unconvincing explanation: "the cleaner is off today." However, this was clearly not a one-off issue; the entire hotel reeked of neglect. Such excuses only highlighted the lack of maintenance and oversight in this establishment.
This experience was deeply disappointing, particularly because I trusted a reputable platform like Hotels.com to offer vetted accommodations. It raises serious questions about the criteria Hotels.com uses when listing properties. Allowing substandard hotels like Weaste to remain on their site damages their credibility and leaves customers feeling scammed. I hope this review serves as a warning for other potential guests and prompts Hotels.com to reconsider their screening processes.
- Kean (2/5): - Filfthy! I didnt expect much for £45 on a utd match day but this place is stinking, cold and the staff are horrible. Our room wouldnt lock they acted as if it were my fault then she said she would fix it when we were out for the match. When we came back our door was wide open al.
- Alan (2/5): - The shower didn't work. There was no hot water. There was water on the bathroom floor, which had spread to the bedroom carpet. The bar floor had unmopped beer.
- Susan (2/5): - No toilet roll or towels until requested. Bed had been changed but no other cleaning service done- dirty coffee cup, bin not emptied, gap between toilet and shower cubicle was barely negotiable (and I’m quite small), alarms went off throughout the night… anyone who left a door ajar when checking out set an alarm clock type alarm sounding. Corridor smelt. I’m still waiting for £10 deposit refund. Bare cables protruding from wall. On the plus side..Kebab shop next door was good and room was cheap.
- sophieoY1636JV (2/5): Horrible would not return. - We arrived from an early flight could not check in till 3pm we had change to three rooms.
First room: door would not lock so our stuff was unsafe and our own safety was at risk there was mould on walls and shower was cold.
Second room: bathroom had dirty tissues dirty walls broken blinds and shower was falling apart. Mould also all over walls and bed was not dressed dirty pillows and also had no tv and hairdryer even tho they were included
Third room: shower was broken beds were very bad could feel springs and also dirty mirrors walls floors tv had a bracket but was not on the wall the bin had dirty tissues and toilet was also dirty
Main entrance: had eggs on doors for the three days we were there. No dinning table or bar as photos showed also door coming in and out was all dirty stairs up to bedrooms were very dirty smelly and wet.
- aaron_dunkley93 (10/5): Great Haunted House Experience - Perfect Hallowe’en getaway. I’m a sceptic normally but the smell instantly had me suspending my disbelief - whatever scented trick they were using, it felt very real that people had died there. The ectoplasm on the entrance door was a nice touch.
Ghosts get a bad reputation like they’re always out to haunt people but the one at reception seemed different. Chilling? Yes. But actually helpful and generous enough to give us one key between eight people (across two rooms), which also added to the sense of adventure.
The rooms had showers and beds, so yeah.
Unfortunately the magic was spoiled slightly when I spotted the fog surrounding the building was actually fake as it came from vape smoke from local yoots hanging round the back,
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Hotel Experience: Dirty Room, No Facilities - My stay was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The room was very dirty, lacked basic facilities, and even had a faulty lock, leaving me feeling unsafe. I provided images to your chat specialist on the same day, which confirm the unacceptable conditions. The bathroom was so small it was nearly unusable, and there was no hand wash, toilet paper, or other essentials—only beds were provided in the room.
I requested a refund on the day of arrival, but instead received only a £25 voucher from Hotels.com. This experience has made me very cautious about booking here again, as I didn’t pay just for beds but expected at least the basics in a secure, functional room. I’m very disappointed with both the accommodation and the level of service I received in response to this complaint.
- bobsB3489WS (2/5): SEMINAL FLUID - This has got to be the worst hotel known to man. i was greeted with smell worse than the corpse of a woman sat at reception, its like talking to a brick wall when asking for help.
i wish i could say the smell was the worst, but my carpet, curtains and also pillows were covered in seminal fluid, the toilet was backed up completely with faeces sat in the toilet un flushable.
When attempting to turn the lights on i was electrocuted by 230v, this actually made the trip more enjoyable as because momentarily, whilst i lay paralysed on the floor from with no sense of smell from being electrocuted, i realised i couldnt smell the hotel anymore
- V7992MUmelindah (2/5): Disgusting - I never ever seen this kind of hotel, the room what we got was disgusting, and I mean it. I think better if I sleep on the street than in this hotel again. We just basically opened the door, the toulet paper waa there where you can see it on the photo, the carpet, omg dont even mention it. Instead of coffee or sugar there was 4 AAA battery. I have no words for this place. The room was not cleaned at all, the ladie from behind the reception desk if we can call that, said they made the bad, lol at least they did. I think the pictures will tell you everything.
- Muhammad Hamid (10/5): - Good
- K2657EWryanr (2/5): The worst hotel ever! - Well what can I say. First off all the entrance to the hotel had been egged and it looked like it was there for a while, from seeing that I knew this was going to be a bad idea stopping here. The women who worked there was awful. There was 8 of us lads stopping here, we had access to one of the rooms because we were waiting for the other to be cleaned. The hallwall to the stairs had an awful smell, the door that lead to own room didn’t even have an door handle 😂 we walked into our room and the beds didn’t even have sheets etc… all 4 of the mattress had stains on them which looked disgusting 🤢 the pillows/duvet/ carpet also had stains the smell of the room smelt stale. Me and the lads went out around 4:30pm and asked the women if the room will be cleaned when we get back she said “yes of course “ we came back around 1 am to find that the room still looked the exactly the same way that we left it. We had access to the other room which the room was done lol but it still had a stale smell to it. Soo we had one room 4 beds 8 people to try and sleep, it was that bad myself and one of my mates slept in the car. I am telling you now this the worst hotel ever !!! It needs to be closed asap
- Q1810YLannab (2/5): AWFUL HOTEL - This is the worst “hotel” I have ever seen. It is disgraceful, it doesn’t even deserve one star. As soon as you walk in you are met with a vile smell, that I can only describe to be like body odour and gone off food. The staff are incompetent and rude. We were shown to our room on completely different floors to our friends, when she opened the door to what was meant to be our room we were shocked and immediately asked to be moved. The carpet was ripped up, bottles and cans around the room, no bedding, a horrendous smell, dirty marks all over the floor/walls. She shown us to another room which was immediately worse, when asking if the staff think that is acceptable/would they stay there the women stared into space and did not respond to us. In our friend’s room there was live wires, mould, dirty bedding, also a disgusting smell. We immediately booked another hotel and had to chase down the reception staff to return the keys because it was THAT bad. When enquiring about a refund she explained that this was done through booking.com, who have advised us that it’s down to the hotel. Not to mention rooms were full of bugs. This place should be shut down! Not only was it unhygienic it wasn’t safe. Full of chavs, blasting music. When we were originally shown to our room the receptionist was distracted as the couple next to us couldn’t leave as their door wouldn’t lock, her solution was to leave it as she mans the reception 24 hours (obvious lies considering we had to chase her down). Long story short, it’s awful and I wouldn’t even advise somebody who lives on the streets to stay here.
- Hussein (2/5): - It’s so dirty unorganised , I don’t recommend nobody to go there so filthy surface is so bad, the staff not trained to run the business
- paigerJ1034CZ (2/5): vile - wouldn’t even let my dead dog sleep in the room we were given. when we arrived, there were people that had already seen their rooms and refused to sleep there. condoms everywhere, yellow water, 2 stained single mattresses that were put together on a double bed clearly didn’t fit as it felt like you were just sleeping on the bed frame. even bugs in the bed.. the list goes on. people there didn’t even seem to care just stared at you. slept in the car. doesn’t even deserve a 1 rating
- Ron (2/5): Appalling - The worst hotel I stayed at by far!
Stay away!!
- Sherpa04345240895 (2/5): Hotel - Would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. As it was disgusting. First night I stayed with my children the room was absolutely freezing. Went down to reception to tell them that the heating was not going on and they said will go on after half an hour but still it didn't. We slept in a freezing room. Then the next day they said we will change your room and shifted us to the top floor where the ceiling was leaking. Could sleep as water was dripping and was very disturbed at night. The bathroom wasn't clean at all. Had mould everywhere. Disgusting! No toilet roll or any towels whatsoever.
Staff didn't have a clue and were never at reception.
The hotel itself needs an upgrade as what was in the pictures is all lies. The hotel doesn't even look like it inside!. Total shambles and a mess.
Absolutely SHOCKED!!!
- James (2/5): - Can honestly say I’ve never stayed in a hotel quite this bad, and I’ve stayed in some right horrible ones.
Yea this is reflected in the price however filthy rooms, stains on walls and floors - loose wiring was repulsive and dangerous and should be closed as a health hazard - I’m really not over exaggerating when I say that
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Can honestly say I’ve never stayed in a hotel quite this bad, and I’ve stayed in some right horrible ones.

- Andreea (2/5): - Stay away! Health hazard! Strong smell of weed, dirty and sticky carpets and walls, mould in the bathroom and stains of what it appears to be faeces on the wall next to the sink. If i wouldn't have travelled with my young daughter and if it wouldn't have been past midnight and so away from centre, we would have refused the stay. As it was ive paid nearly £100 for a s* h .i have stayed in many hotels in my life but someone should either close this down or at least stop them trading and at such prices before they get someone poorly. Shame on the managers!
- Flyer663448 (2/5): Filthy! - Im sorry i have to write this review but mu sense of duty to other travelers was the priority. I will be concise. I booked through booking, com for a night stay 7/10/24. On arrival there was a building facade which had vegetation growing out of its frontage ( not the photo on booking .coms site) and what looked like a spilled garbage bag remains at the front. I was worried. On check in i was given a key to a room. The room floor was dirty as were the windowsills, there were no no cups or tea making things other than a kettle that had something growing in it. Relaying this to the manager i was given another room. it was FILTHY. I do not exaggerate There was fresh staining on the bed headboard. There was staining of liquid on the wall. The desk drawer was fill of litter. There was tobacco spilled on the floor. The floor was filthy in grime and had not been hoovered. The ceiling fire sensor alarm was bagged and taped over. The door lock ( outside electric) would not secure leaving entry to anyone. I have mailed booking .com , ( they have no complaint process at all) and awaiting a reply. Im looking for a full refund ( the manager wouldn't engage with any dialogue on the refund)....The photos attached are from the 2nd room i was offered. Unfortunately the scene was worse than the photo but im sure they will give a feel of what i entered in to
- miamG7781TO (2/5): Worst hotel ever !!! - The worst hotel I have stayed in by far.
I have tried to email the hotel directly and through the site I booked it with to get a refund and I have had no response.
The first room we were given had a key rather than card. The door was open when we arrived to it and then we were unable shut and lock the door as the handle was broken.
Aswell as the sofa bed was broken and had white stains all over it
We went down to reception and raised our concerns which we then were moved to another room which was no better.
Again we had issues with locking our door.
The room had clearly not been cleaned from the people who had previously stayed in this room, the bed was unmade and pillows were messily placed on one side of the bed. On the mirror in the bedroom there was snot with blood in it and sprayed all over.
There was a huge damp/mould patch on the ceiling which came half way down the wall (see image below) which created a foul smell in the room.
Just a few more issues that was wrong with our room
- The shower did not work even when switching the switch on.
- There was poo smears on the bathroom wall
- No soap, Shampoo or conditioner
- No towels
- Tv was broken and no longer on the wall mount
- Lights were broken and electrical wires were exposed.
- In room 15 window was left opened and was too stiff to shut.
- Room 15 was two single beds together which were two different heights.
- Bed sheets ripped.
Speaking to another room they also was having issues with locking their door and we discovered that every key card can unlock all rooms in the hotel meaning none of the rooms were secure. There was no safe in the room so we had to put our personal belonging in our car as did not feel secure in our room.
Overall the stay was awful and I would not recommend this to anyone.
- E194BHphoebec (2/5): God awful - The absolute worst !!! Run , as soon as me and my bf stepped in the door we knew , never stay here , EVER !!! It’s disgusting , hell on earth , I hope it gets shut down . The people were rude and had no shoes on , smelt disgusting , blood and unknown liquids on every wall , my shoes felt dirty just stepping into the place even outside isn’t clean , holes in every wall on the ceilings smelt like piss and smoke , mold everywhere , people’s dirty cans and leftover wrappers just to put it into words horrendous
- Mia (2/5): - The worst hotel I have ever stayed in by far
Issues
1. Rooms don’t lock
2. Everyone’s key card can unlock every door and no safe so belongs are not secure resulting in us putting our stuff in our car when not in the room.
3. Rooms not cleaned and staff confirmed this when questioned.
4. Snot with blood on the mirror
5. Poo like stains on the wall
6. Damp on the ceiling coming half way down the wall creating a foul smell.
7. Dirty stains on Sofa bed
8. Shower did not work
9. Tv broke and off the wall mount
10. Lights broken
- Jenna (2/5): - Never been to such a dirty, disgusting place in my life! How they think it is acceptable I will never know! We checked in and checked straight out
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Wall lights hanging off the wall, sheer tray cracked with tape holding it together
Would not recommend, didn’t stay as wasn’t safe had to book into another hotel
- Sarah (4/5): - This place was very very cheap so I guess i didn’t expect much. However , the room was not clean , bathroom bin not emptied and whole place extremely tired , looks like it’s not been hoovered for months. The door did not lock from outside so I had to wedge the desk against the door to feel safe.
- Daanyaal (4/5): - Y
- Ivani (2/5): - I would not recommend this property. The rooms are dirty and facilities are poor. Our room was unclean, with dirty floors and dirty bedding. There was a slug in the shower and our shower was broken. Terrible stay
- kyle (2/5): - Not what it says on the website. Avoid, toilet wasn’t attached to the ground, water ran brown, curtain rail was on floor; obviously was not professionally cleaned, tea coffee was not replaced, no bags in bins, makeup marks on sheets. If there was someone to complain to, I’d get this place closed.
- Dr Fadi (2/5): - Worse hotel I ever seen.
The room was so filthy & dirty, when I did open the water tap in the bathroom the water was yellow colour, couldn’t have shower it wash my hand .
had to go to shop to buy drinking water to wash my face & brush my teeth,
When I pushed my child bed next to my bed I found so much rubbish under,
Area not safe at all,
Too much noise and hearing drunk & druggy people arguing or shouting outside till very late,
Not recommending at all and I want them to refund my money.
- Jamie (2/5): - Very unclean, checkin took about an hour a the rooms had not been cleaned and personal items had been left in the room. Fire alarm went off at 11:30pm. Several guests shouting outside till 1/2am, one of which turned out to be the house keeper. Don't put yourself through it!!
- Criona (4/5): - First room the light didnt work in the bathroom, second room the lock didnt work on the door, so i had to bareicade it. Someone came knocking on the door asking for the key?! Teenagers sucking on balloons and banging on the door during the early hours. No staff when we left, didnt know what to do with the key so just left it on the desk. Overall felt unsafe and i couldnt sleep.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disgustin1g - This was far below Hotels.com standards. The hotel is rundown, the room was filthy and in need of serious maintenance. The carpet needed professional cleaning/replacing, the roof was leaking into the room so the plaster was coming away from the ceiling, there were exposed wIires everywhere, the windows had no handles or were broken, the blind required a manual roll up and down as no handles, there were no clean towels provided, the shower unit base was broken, the taps were loose and there was no hot water, I had to request pillows for an unspread bed, and during the late hours two male staff were banging down the door stating they needed to inspect the alarm, having then discovered myself there was no alarm in the room. In the morning the hallway stunk of Cannabis. Booked for two nights...not a chance of putting myself through that. Despicable...
- Neelam (2/5): - Worst hotel which I have ever stayed in. Stayed at the hotel for 3 hours then checked out. Very dirty rooms, unhygienic, very noisy at 12am. Would not recommend anyone to stay here. The photos do not have any resemblance to the actual rooms and hotel.
- Haben (2/5): - Place is horrible and smells
- Mohammed (10/5): - Amazing stay room clean staff very friendly and helpful excellent service
- Keitan (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting. Unclean and unhygienic
- Chris (6/5): - Location of thr property is great. Price is low and staff very friendly and helpful. My only downside was the noise. Constalty people up late shouting and early banging in the morning. Couldnt get a good nights sleep because of this but the staff were great and the rooms were clean
- Taiba (2/5): - It was disgusting
There was no blinds
It was 2 single beds joint together
It was overall really filthy and dirty
Its only suitable for those who have a one night stand
Not good for families
- Barbara (2/5): - There was hair in the bathroom, especially the shower, cleanliness was non existant
- Lia (2/5): Dont waste your money! - When i booked this i went off pictures and the reviews off this website which had the hotle sitting at a 4 star level. Which was stupid of me to trust that because i can definitely say they delete all the bad reviews! A google search quickly revealed the truth, of a dirty and neglected property but i was naive enough to think it couldnt be possibly that bad.
The reception is dark and dusty and just gave off the worst vibes. When checking in i was given two keys one for the front door and one for the bedroom which i had to be careful not to lose as he only had one key for my room.
The room itself was a small corner bedroom on the second floor. The hallway was very dimly lit and stunk of weed! The room was cramped and in a serious state of disrepear the carpets were stained, the water out of the taps was a horrible murky brown colour and there was black mould on the walls
I didnt waste anymore time i left the room straight away to make safer and cleaner arangments.
- Augustine (2/5): My Wraste Hotel Nightmare. - For the three night that I spent, my room was never cleaned let alone change of towels. I couldn't open curtains to let in natural light because the roller curtains installed was on soft flaky wall that left dirt all over the place when i attempted to open it. I was like a prisoner! Some partsof the skirting boards were falling off, carpet was dirty, television had no antena connected so could not work. The host were very noisy behind the window of room 20 that i slept in, they were always working deep into the night with banging noises. They spoke and loughed very loud on phones. On my last night I went to plead withthem at 10:46pm to stop drilling walls because i needed some sleep and they said five minutes necause they were fixing internet. They nerver stopped until 00:34 when I went out again to them. If it was possible to ask for my money back, I would have done. It was a nightmare!
- Hannah (2/5): - Staff member walked through to the room me and my husband were staying in. We immediately left.
- Jill (10/5): - Clean budget hotel with free parking. No complaints as such good value.
- Ryan Zane (4/5): - We arrived in plenty of time after the check in time notified on the website and email. Our room was still not ready on arrival and had to wait 20 minutes or so for it to be ‘cleaned’. The hotel itself looked like it was in the middle of being renovated.
We were given a keycard for the building front door and key for the room but this was not explained as there was a keycard lock on the room door too. This led to us locking ourselves out of the room by leaving the key inside and just taking the keycard out with us. This was dealt with quickly by night staff using a master key.
Inside the room at first glance it looked fine and simple which we were happy with but upon further look we were placed in the room with only the main light working, none of the bedside lights worked and we could not get dressed with the blinds closed due to the lack of light. However if we opened the blinds it looked out into the Main Street and car park so passersby could see us get changed. There needs to be frosted film placed on the window for some privacy.
After moving the beds slightly so we could make use of the natural window lighting we noticed that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned and there was a LOT of mess under the beds which was not checked including kids toys and used bottles of nose sprays.
The door locks also looked like they had recently been changed which was why the keycard reader was not working but looked like there had been forced entry previously.
- Sarah (2/5): Awful visit - catfished into booking. - Absolutely awful. I will be asking for a refund .. both rooms were awful. Missing tvs, dirty, soaking wet carpet, smells of smoke, dirty water out of the taps. The hotel is apparently under refurbishment and the manager apologised that he couldn’t move our rooms as the hotel was full. The hotel looks nothing like the photos. The photos are obviously old and are basically cat fishing me into booking the hotel based upon the photos. I have posted actual photos with this. I can k my upload 8 there are lots more. I don’t know how hotels.com can endorse this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good enough. - Room was good value for money, used it purely for sleep after a gig at old traffic. Cheaper than anything else we could find. Did the job intendid.
- Belinda (2/5): - Door locked when we arrived, rang the door bell and the 2 numbers on the door, phone line wasn’t working, got in when someone came out , and waited in reception for half hour, nobody came so we had to take our bags with us to coronation street, then ringing the numbers after the tour , phone still not working , so rang a different hotel that was on there card that we took from reception, and they sorted it so we could get in and checked in , the beds and room was spotless and clean , the shower had a massive crack in it and the tv wasn’t working , when I went to reception, they told us to use the shower and the tv would be back on in a hour , but we didn’t use the shower in case we got our skin caught in the plastic because the crack wasn’t lined up , and the tv still wasn’t working in the morning either
- Darren (2/5): - The hotel is convenien for visiting the City centre - £11 taxi ride. However, although the room was clean (basic, but enough) the room smelled of tobacco which was not nice at all... also there was a smell of weed when entering the hotel & on the stairways.
As we literally needed a bed to sleep in for the night we let it go but would not return or reccomend it to anyone.
- Samantha (4/5): - Substandard even for a basic room. Mould in the shower, stains over the walls.
- Kaywan (2/5): - They have good stuff but not best place to stay noisy
- Cameron (2/5): - There was bugs in the room literally no cups no space at all it was dirty in the middle of a estate I’m not happy as the pictures looked good rating 1/10 !!!
- Sheila (2/5): Checked out without staying the night terrible - I ended up checking myself out and not staying the hotel wasn’t clean at all. I have bad asthma and as soon as I walked in the hotel there was really strong cigarette smoke. The first room they showed me was damp and smelt as though someone had smoked in there along with the mould in the bathroom I knew I would struggle all night with my breathing. I asked to swap and they gave me a bigger room but the lock was broken and I locked myself out. After a certain time there was no one on reception and as a solo female traveller I just didn’t feel safe and secure so after two hours I gave back my key and left. I emailed for a refund but haven't received one.
- Allen (2/5): - Didn't match the description or the photos. Unsafe neighborhood. Poor location. Subpar room. No amenities.
- Linda (4/5): Slow improvement - They are trying hard to do renovations but it takes time and money. The young man in reception when we arrived was very polite and helpful. I wish them the best
- Catriona M (6/5): Quiet, comfortable and warm! - Renovations were going on inside the hotel- these did not phase my stay. The cleaner and desk clerk were very accommodating and got me a kettle for my usual morning tea. He also sorted the tv. I was given a room choice- upstairs or down and it was warm and clean so very comfortable for my stay. Very much paying for what you get but would recommend if needing to be close to Salford. Plus the desk clerk knew a taxi man that gave me a great deal when travelling to see my daughter further towards Manchester City centre!
- shane (4/5): - It was awful dark outside building made us very nervous as looked derelict on website stated was 1.9 miles from old trafford but was more of 4miles not sure if building is in process of being updated but room wasnt like pictured was awful took pictures as was so shocked
- Ricky (2/5): Never Recommend even for £20 a night - Carpet filthy, shower room had slugs, Mattresses must be age old.
- Joe (2/5): Dirty rooms, thread bare carpets and black mold - We had to wait outside for 10 minutes for someone to answer the doorbell at 5pm. When then went to our room which had worn carpets and mold in the bathroom. The bathroom didnt have any toilet rolls. We were woken up at 2am by someone ringing the doorbell 8 x times before they were let into the building and again at 5am someone pressed this 3 x times before been let in. The room was not fit for a family due to thread bare carpets and black mold in the bathroom. See pictures attached
- King Yan (2/5): - Worst hotel ever
Full of black mould
Rubbish on the floor
No water pressure
People doing drugs outside the premises
- Alan (2/5): - Place was nothing like described in their advert.
Dirty. Bathroom floor covered in water.
I think my £34.83 should be refunded as we had to go to a different hotel.
- Ryan (2/5): Weaste hotel - The hotel room was awful, absolute disgrace, mould and damp down the walls carpets really dirty, just everything was dirty
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again - Unclean floor… dirty toilet… Bed sheet with some dirty… seems that was washed very quickly
- Soumya (8/5): - the stay was average
- Ana Paula (2/5): Bad stay - Cold bedroom, main door not closed completely, toilet freezing, and under the sink leaking from the pipe, flooding all floor. No toilet paper, I had to ask in the reception - what a shame!
- Stephen (2/5): - Building site. Room had mould (lots) on carpet. Decor was like a squatters room. Lady at desk was polite but I made my excuses and left. This property is in very poor condition and, for me, I wouldn’t stay there for free. Worst hotel I e seen in decades I’m afraid. Avoid!
- Rob (2/5): - I've never walked out of a hotel...this one we had to! Firstly id like to point out I'm not fussy by any stretch, but this hotel was so bad!
Upon arrival we were told we were the only ones staying that night and they couldn't give us a key to either the front door of the hotel or our actual room, due so the key cards on the room doors were not working.... The guy behind the so called 'reception desk' was nice enough and I doubt It was his fault but whoever owns the hotel seriously needs to stop trading until the room is in a safe enough state.
The room itself was pretty grim, stains on the floor and walls, stagnant water in the kettle, electrical fittings hanging out the wall, the shower head actually fell off and clarted me in the head! Safe to say we left within approx 20mins and booked another hotel. Unfortunately that was £65 down the drain...
- Bruce (10/5): - Quite abd sereen environment, no smoking policy!!
- Kirsty (6/5): - Good location close to the city without being in the thick of it. Only £9 in an uber to the Victoria warehouse where we were going.
Walls very thin so can hear everything. Room unclean stains in the seiling and mirrors. Wires hanging out the wall on the tv. Wifi terrible and freeview didnt work. Tiny room, but for the price you get what you pay for i suppose. Its fine if you just need a bed for the night which we did after our rave lol!
The bathroom was ok. But toilet was loose and towel rail hanging off the wall.
- Ben (2/5): - Would not choose to come back.
- BRETT (2/5): Worst hotel stay ever - Filthy. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Not one to complain but if you view the pictures u can see why. Dangerous if nothing else n wouldn’t let my dog sleep in the room we were given
- Dean (2/5): Beyond awful - This is by FAR the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Very run down, not looked after, and was honestly run like 3 blokes running it for a laugh. The room was awful, lots of areas of filler on the walls, clear mould coming through in the ceiling of one corner of the room, blinds looked they had been battered and hanging off the window, bathroom was already flooded when we first got to the room, shower tray was broken and bits of plastic/fibreglass broken and left in the corner of the bathroom. The room was so bad it was actually laughable. Went to a football match and genuinely felt uncomfortable to what we would come back to and dreading sleeping there. I would honestly have been more comfortable sleeping in my car in the car park.
