Guest Reviews
- Eliza (10/5): Great location and lovely staff - Had a lovely stay at the cavern. The meals are all included and very good and it was so nice not to have to worry about driving back in the evening. The wine cellar was also excellent! Amazing location and awesome staff (special thanks to sandile for all your help in planning amazing walks). Also fun range of activities, we did a lovely night hike the first night there under very clear skies and saw the milky way in all it's glory. Packed lunches were lovely and meant we could go all day hiking and they have games you can borrow to play in the evening. All in it was a brilliant trip, thank you!
- Charlie (10/5): - I was last at the Cavern as a schoolboy in 1967, and while the facilities have been massively upgraded since then, it still retains the warm and cosy atrmosphere it had then. The food is superb, as are the various amenities on offer. A lot of thought has gone into the place - loos by the pool, tennis courts and bowling green come to mind. All tastes are catered for, whether you want to walk, ride, try the sports on offer or simply chill out in the various lounges. A gret place to spend a few days!
- James (8/5): - Lovely countryside, great walks and horse riding. Rooms large and comfortable. Staff helpfull, food good.
- Diane (10/5): Birthday Celebration - Visiting from Scotland to help a friend celebrate her 70th Birthday with her family.
Wonderful weekend in a beautiful area.
Very impressed with facilities, quality of food and attentiveness of staff.
- Lorna (10/5): - The Cavern one of the most relaxing places we have visited.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing and the staff were professional.
- Christine (10/5): Wonderful Place for holiday - We had our last stay of our 5 weeks journey through SA at this wonderful place that fits to the nature. It was the best!
All we needed was provided particularly extraordinary good food, spa, massage and a guide for hiking.
There is a lot to do and it is close to Royal Natal NP.
Next time we stay longer.
- Renee (10/5): - Was amazing. Quiet with stunning views and wonderful meals
- Michael (8/5): Intrinsacally motivated staff in family resort - Staff was great and when out of their way & beyond.
Interior of standard room and common room a tad dated and reminiscent of old times.
Surrounded by nature and loads of trails and activities to be done, all excellently managed by their staff
- Bob (8/5): Oasis in the Drakensberg, - Spacious, comfortable, and though traditional it has everything on site that you could need
to spend sometime.
