• Bo (8/5): Close to the beach at half the price of a beachfront hotel - Good location 2 minutes from the beach. Quiet and clean. Nice balcony but not much of a view. Friendly staff that let me have a 3 PM checkout with no extra charge. No breakfast

The garden was wonderful and kept beautiful by a hard working gardener. Nothing except due to the shortage of LP gas the restaurant wasn't open some days. But that didn't detract from the hotels quality.

Very short walk to the beautiful beach . Many restaurants on the same street but the guest house own restaurant ( Avocado garden )is very good .

Guest house set in beautifully kept gardens. Staff very friendly and kind. Reception staff to gardeners always smiling. Avocado restaurant on same site great for breakfast and evening meals and well priced for delicious well presented dishes. The wi-fi in the room was a bit hit and miss but great in rest of guest house.

• Tracey (10/5): - Palolem is set in an ideal location with all amenities close by. The beach is less than a five minute walk away. It has it's own restaurant which serves very good food and is surrounded by really beautiful gardens. It is located at the quieter end of Palolem, which makes for a peaceful night's sleep. The staff are really friendly and very accommodating. We had the best 4 weeks in this guest house with no complaints. Everything was perfect.

• angela (1/5): Short trip - The location was excellent , pleasant staff on reception.Room clean on the first night, bed comfortable..Arrived back from the beach at 4pm and had to request that the room be serviced and water replenished. When we returned to our room from our evening out at 10pm we were greeted with a mass of cockroaches at our door and in the entrance hall.When we entered our room there was an investation of cockroaches all over the floor , beds, ledge under the tv, in our bags, in my clothes in the suitcase , in the bathroom, on the floor, around the drain for the shower, in the sink , in the toilet, all over the seat..They were everywhere. When we reported it at reception the man had the audacity to say that we must have left a window open when it was clear to see that there was a trail from the entrance , up the steps and under the gap in the door. I wasnt sure what type of insect they were because they were so small it was the man from reception that told us that they were cockroach.We asked for an alternative room and were told that the guest house was full and that they would clean the toom. After they had swept the room and flushed them down the drain we were still finding them , the man from reception said once they had changed the bedding it would be ok but they were still crawling around in places.We did not feel comfortable to sleep in the room so we decided to leave and take a two and half hour taxi journey back to Calangute. Room infested with cockroaches and staff thinking that it was acceptable to still sleep in there.

It was noisy at times and sounded like things were being thrown down the stairs. Needs a lot of maintenance in the bathroom.

Van alle luxe voorzien. Comfortabel bed en heerlijke douche. Ook het restaurant beneden serveert heerlijke maaltijden in grote porties. Het is ee verrassend rustig, ondanks de centrale ligging. Aanrader! -

The Avocado Garden restaurant is a shaded courtyard restaurant with beautiful plants . Food is great . The service at the guest house and the restaurant is very good , all the staff are helpful and friendly.

• SERGEY (9/5): Тихое место, до пляжа идти 5 минут, хороший ресторан, приятный отзывчивый персонал. - Отличное тихое место в Палолеме. Останавливаемся в этом отеле каждый раз, как приезжаем в Гоа т.к. место проверенное и неприятных сюрпризов тут не бывает. Рекомендую всем, кто ценит тишину по ночам, вкусную еду и отсутствие проблем с горячей водой. При наличии возможности выбора рекомендую новый корпус, хотя после ремонта, номера в старом корпусе также выглядят вполне прилично. В сезон (с 20.12 до 05.01) лучше бронировать номер заранее т.к. обычно отель бывает в сезон заполнен "под завязку". В этот раз были проблемы с замками на балкон и в номер (замок в номер был всегда заблокирован, на балкон - разблокирован). Проблему с вечно открытым балконом порешали с помощью шпингалета, При выходе из номера всегда проверяли что ключи в кармане, так что неприятностей из за замков не было. Еще при стирке потерялась одна детская футболка. В остальном все было отлично.

• Ally (2/5): Poor Accommodation - Location good, most of the staff were lovely. Lassi's were good. The room we were allocated was very bad. Not enough room for 2 adults. The window was rotten, looked out to a junkyard. The curtains falling off. There was nowhere to unpack your clothes so had to live out the suitcase. Also nowhere to put toiletries. Both rooms we booked were right by reception, very noisy and no thought for people in these rooms. Would not recommend this place to stay.

• Nicholas Clive (9/5): We highly recommend Palolem Guest House and Avocado Garden Restaurant was our favourite place to eat - Palolem Guest House is a very professionally run hotel , we travelled throughout India for a month and this was one of the few places we didn´t have to ask for anything to be provided , everything we needed was supplied. Their Avocado Garden Restaurant is also excellent , clean , good choice and generous portions. Ramesh and his team are to be congratulated on their high standards. No sea view if that is important for you.

• Yan (7/5): - The staff is great, the place is beautiful, the restaurant was good. The room I had was clean but smelt of mold. I didn't see any but smelt it. In anyway it made my stay not so pleasent. Also the room was smal and not so inviting (for the price of course) so not good value. I have a feeling some other room might be better, because the place does look nice clean, and the staff is great. So I recommend this place but maybe first ask to see the room, or ask to change if it smell like mine.

• Kohinoor (8/5): Good place if you don’t intend to have beach/sea view from the room - Staffs were very helpful . Room size was good and comfortable . Many eateries are just round the corner. Beach is 5 mins walk . Water logging was there inside the hotel at the entry . We can not cross without getting the shoes wet . Also do not expect any sea/ beach view though the beach is 5 mins walk.

The power cuts out frequently 4 or 6x a day, but because they have a generator, we never experienced problems with wifi and ac. The host was energetic and kind and well spoken. We only ate at the restraunt once for breakfast, and it was very disappointing. Overpriced and small portions. We ate at Carpe Diem Cafe, which was much better price, portions, and the owner was so friendly.

My room was a bit small but having stayed here before I know there are better rooms. This room had no A/C which was my choice as I only stayed 2 nights this time but would recommend choosing a room with A/Con.
