- lis obrien (10/5): - Fantastic chilled place to stay right on a quiet sandy beach. Cosy comfortable rooms with AC and mosquito nets. Kettle provided with tea and coffee. Shower was warm and ok power. Cafe facilities available on site, with a great choice of breakfast and popular with tourists from nearby locations. Very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed 2 extra nights and would stay again. Suggest adding power sockets located near the beds. Refrigerator would also be good. It would be great if drinking water was provided daily.
- Lucian (8/5): - The location is the main point of the place. The cottage is a bit old and needs deeper maintenance, better cleaning and more attention to detail. I had a liquid soap in the bathroom that was water rinse of remaining soap...
- Nadia (9/5): - Hadden een kamer met zijdelings uitzicht op de zee. Fantastische locatie, vriendelijke eigenaren. Uitstekend ontbijt. Het restaurant is ook zeer fijn om te zitten en je kunt er lunchen en dineren. Verbleven er maar 1 nacht maar het is echt een plaatsje waar je meerdere nachten zou willen verblijven. Het kajakken op de rivier die net naast het hotel loopt is ook echt leuk om te doen. Kortom een aanrader!

Es un poco rollo,sube el olor de comida ,se escuchan los ruidos pero luego más tarde se tranquiliza la cosa . Es una habitación un poco extraña y también el mar es muy agitado y puede molestar para descansar .

Breakfast was delicious and dinner choices and quality great. Off street parking for tuktuk was also handy. Walking distance to other restaurants and short drive to town for shopping. Perfect! Nothing

- Wilhelm (7/5): - Das Balkonzimmer ist sehr hübsch gelegen u d hat eine tolle Aussicht. Frühstück war sehr gut. Das Bad ist unterirdisch. Ein einziges Flickwerk aus Resteposten. Bodenfliesen extrem glatt. Alles unsauber. Bodenbretter auf Balkon müssten ausgetauscht werden.

- Nora (9/5): - Direkt am Strand! Einfache kleine Cabana mit kleiner Terrasse und Blick zum Strand. Man konnte sogar etwas baden, obwohl das in der Nebensaison am restlichen Strand von Tangalle kaum möglich ist. Die Wellen waren sehr stark. Das Essen war klasse! Es wurde nach Wunsch frischer Fisch vom Markt besorgt und zubereitet. Einmal bekamen wir Sri Lankanisches Frühstück mit Hoppers und String Hoppers. Sehr lecker! Das Zimmer selbst ist ziemlich klein. Unser Sohn hat auf einer extra Matratze auf dem Boden geschlafen, da das Zimmer nur für 3 ausreichte. Es war ein 3-Bett-Zimmer! Wir bekamen eine extra Matratze, aber man sollte bedenken, dass dann nur noch sehr wenig Platz ist!
- Alicja (7/5): Ok place - The Sri Lankan breakfast was exceptional. I kept coming for the breakfast and the view from the restaurant even after I changed the guest house. Not a great value for money. The room was small, basic, barely any view of the sea from the "side sea view". I only stayed for one night and then relocated nearby. But I kept coming for breakfast!

- Kuprašova (8/5): Very good - Were calm location with great view to the ocean. Bungalow is very compact with nice terace. Actually this is all you need. Each morning and evening we took nice walks on the only road that there was and there are plany of nice restaurants with amaizing views. In the evening when kids relaxed in bungallow afer amaizing day on the beach, me and my husband were sitting on the beach right next to our bungallow and enjoiyed cold bear from local restaurant. Amaizing and reallaxing experience. There was one blanket missing and there were no hot water, but I guess you can live without these things in this climate :D

The owners and staff are really nice and very helpful. We planned on staying one night but ended up staying three nights The only minus for us, was the restaurant did not open until 8, which is a bit late with a kid.

Breakfast was delicious with options for Western or Sri Lankan breakfast. Hotel cat was the most cuddly creature :) Nothing. Stay was perfect, we kept extending :)
- Rob (9/5): Great budget cabanas - This place has got it right. Hard working staff, cute cabanas, sensible prices for a tourist area and a friendly vibe. It's a quiet spot apart from the neighboring bar which has a limited playlist but it's not intrusive. Air con controls didn't work.
- Cesar (8/5): Mixed feelings, the staff is amazing ( not the management) - The breakfast was great, probably the best we had in our 16 days travel, the staff was amazing great people We booked a room for 3 people( 2 adults 1 child) but at the end we got charged with our sons breaking for the 4 days of our stay, the beach in front has very strong waves, and the rooms let big spiders go through the holes of the cabanas

We particularly liked Dasun who seemed to know what we wanted before we did😀 The family and staff got on in a way that gave a very nice atmosphere. The location is great. Near to other restaurants and a short walk from the much quieter and wilder beach if you wanted a change of scene. We had big waves and had to walk a short distance to feel safe in the water but this was really easy. Food was great. I was a little reluctant to mention this because we had a great time but I did think we had booked an ocean view bungalow. Unfortunately, it is not an ocean view, but it very nearly is! I was a little annoyed (for about 10 minutes) and then realised it was a good bungalow, seconds from the beach with a view of the river and a glimpse of the sea. In no way did it reduce our enjoyment of the place and I'm only mentioning it so others understand what they are getting.

Like a mantra... - It's gorgeous, I slept in a cabana accompanied by the roar of the ocean, air conditioning, hot water, clean feet when you go up from the beach, the restaurant with table ocean view on the beach, with a kitchen... very good!! hearty and delicious breakfast. The staff adorable, the owners very kind, the lady always with a smile, all very welcoming, even the cat is polite and sweet . At the entrance a bar with an excellent cappuccino. I will definitely be back for longer. Thank you all ... leave

- Ajith (2/5): My stay was disappointing due to inaccurate room descriptions and poor hygiene conditions - During the booking process, one room was specifically advertised as having a sea view. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that neither of the rooms offered the promised sea view. To make matters worse, the family room we received was not clean. The bathroom was visibly dirty, and I have attached photos to illustrate this issue. (Attach photos here) I attempted to discuss these concerns with the hotel owner, but the resolution wasn't satisfactory. It's frustrating to pay for a specific room type and not receive it, and the unclean bathroom was a major hygiene concern.

- Aleksandra (9/5): Superb - The location - peacful and quiet, right at the beach, the friendly staff, good food in a restaurant, a possibility to buy good coffee (from coffee machine). Cabanas are very simple but would be perfect had it not been for some creepy crawly inhabitants. 4 big cocroaches - we found two in each cabana because they can get through the bathroom or front door in case of one of the cabanas. We stayed just for one night so that was not so bad but if you are scared of insects - find another option.

- Kerry (4/5): Nothing is worth a bad sleep. - The staff were great especially the new guy that only started two weeks ago. The walls and floor were not sealed ants and insects came in. Only a fan in the room, they are very small and held the heat. You couldn’t not open the windows as monkeys were present and squirrel’s. The front windows were sealed shut. It’s was terribly hot! Facilities on the beach were dirty and run down. The worse part I think the sewage pipe ran under our room every time someone pressed the button (not in our room) you could smell it in our room!!!!

The rooms are by the beach where I was told you can go snorkeling (when you’re not off season like I was). The hotel organizes lots of tours including one where you can see turtles. Very reasonably priced too. My room didn’t have curtains.

- Daniel (8/5): Very good - The hotel is located on an amazing beach. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and happy to help with any request. highly recommend The place has potential. It can easily be turned into a great place with a few changes. 1. You need to add another lock to the door (the existing lock can be opened easily by pushing the door). 2. There is good internet reception in the restaurant, all that is missing is to add a range extender so that the internet can be used in the rooms. The topic of the Internet is super important. 3. Renovate the shower, the shower head is fixed at a horrible angle which makes it very difficult to shower.

- Georg (9/5): really great value/money! - great location and supernice stuff. superfood value for money (ac room) and awesome local food (super fair price, not like other places closer to city). u can even see monkeys in the afternoon passing the place for the tree fruits. swimming not possible like at 80% of this beach due to currents, but overall the area is a paradise. close to some other more expensive Ressorts. rooms a bit dark
