rogerl251 (6/5): Not Horrible - My GF and I recently stayed at the Tulip Hotel 1 (there are two others) in Da Lat and overall it gave us what we wanted. The hotel is dated and there isn't A/C in the rooms, only a fan. The fan provides enough relief from the heat but cannot be controlled. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable, but again, the whole place is showing its age. The staff was friendly, but as reported elsewhere, wanted to hold onto our passports. We said no as they were the property of Canada and we weren't allowed to hand them over. The receptionist eventually gave up and we were allowed to keep our passports. There is no hotel breakfast, but there is a good bakery across the street. Unfortunately, the bakery doesn't sell coffee. I can recommend the Tulip if all you want is a clean, safe place to crash after your day of sightseeing, but remember, you get what you pay for.

Mike_F_from_STR (4/5): Beware: they‘ll keep your passport! - We‘ve booked the Tulip Hotel Da Lat because of its central location next to the night market and because of the large balcony. Both of it was as expected and the double room is relatively large and clean. The hotel currently offers no breakfast but there is a nice bakery on the opposite side of the street. So my rating could be a 4* rating … but: During checking, the receptionist took our passports because she had to fill some forms (ok). We were told, that we could retrieve them one hour later. After one hour we were told that they would return only one passport, and that they know, how important passports are for us. No other comments given. Next day, next try: another receptionist told us, that this is „company policy“ (although the room was fully paid upfront - and they had my credit card data)! They would return the passport after checkout. Dear management, if you read this: it is totally unacceptable! I had never taken my passport from me on any hotel I have stayed, anywhere! Have you ever been in a foreign country without any means to identify yourself? I guess, not. If I had known that „policy“ before, I would have booked another hotel

I notied that i will cancel the 2nd night and i agreed to lose the money pay up front for 2nd night :( told them more than 24 hrs) But no, they asked me to pay full price at the time at the time to check in. And you will lose the money for the 2nd day no matter what.

clarerose116 (2/5): AVOID - Me and my two friends stayed here while visiting Da lat for two nights. Overall we were very disappointed with this hotel and this is mainly due to the poor attitude of the staff. On arrival we were put in a damp, cold room with cold sheets. After a long journey which we were exhausted from, we asked could we be moved to a better room. We were met with sniggers from the front desk staff and asked to pay an extra 100000 dong, when the room was so poor I feel like asking to be moved and then asking to pay extra is most definitely cheeky from the hotels point of view. When we moved we were not offered help with our bags, and when we got to the new room there was no toilet roll. Had we had not been so exhausted and drained from our journey we most definitely would of changed hotels the second night, however it was convenient to stay in the one place for two nights. The main issue with this hotel is the unhelpful attitude of the staff. We have travelled Vietnam for two weeks and this is the first encounter we have met with rude staff. We have been most impressed with the kindness and hospitality of the Vietnamese people however were sorely disappointed with the staff in this hotel. My advice; if you want to experience the true kindness and generosity of the Vietnamese people do not stay in this hotel and spend your money elsewhere; where the staff are invested in you.
BrownsTravelTheGlobe (6/5): Central Location - Hotel was fine, basic, a few 'Tulip' hotels within a few minutes of each other which confuses taxi drivers and transfers. Easy walk to markets and other attractions. Staff friendly, breakfast not provided however some nice cafes in walking distance. .
Raymondale (10/5): Beautiful Tulip in Da Lat - Stayed here three nights,the hotel is closed to night market,and also many famous eateries.i took sinhtourist bus to Da Lat from Nha Trang,when arrived,i walk to Tulip Hotel.it is quite a distance,but ok to walk from sihntourist bus station.there are two Tulip in the town,i stayed in the first one.the second one not far from Tulip 1.Tulip service is good,the bell boy is polite.though my room rates not included breakfast,they can offer you breakfast at cost.but i didnt buy breakfast during my stay.the room is clean,with basic facilities,love its Tulip theme,the decor and design is beautiful.be noted that hotel in Da Lat no aircorn. Cuz you dont need it,the weather is cool,comfortable.the view from my room is ok,not marvellous,just a city view.
tsheart (6/5): Good hotel with affordable price - This hotel is good. Staffs are friendly and nice. Room is around 18 sq, a bit small but not that bad. Hotel is near Da Lat market and there are many restaurant near by. Room is clean, no smell. If you want to have a hotel near the market, this is a good choice
637brittanyh (10/5): Great experience - This hotel is a bargain- clean rooms, centrally located, friendly staff. Rooms match those in the pictures. My one minor suggestion would be to ask for a room that does not face the street. Although you lose the view, the hotel is located on a Main Street, so it can be noisy at times especially with the windows open as there is no AC. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay!
Jessica (8/5): Very clean, very good location - Very clean room. The area was very good, with the night market, good restaurants and a couple of bars near by. It could be a little loud from noise in the lobby. All in all, I'd book it again.
Thi M (2/5): Be aware of basement rooms! - I reserved 3 executive twin rooms for 12 people. Two of the rooms were as described, but one of the rooms was in the basement level - 2 basement down to be specific. The moment you stepped down the first basement level, you could smell the stinky odor from the pipe. The room and bathroom were smaller than the other two rooms of the same pricing. When we complained since this room was not the same quality, the receptist refused to assist. So be aware when you book - they have 3 rooms in the basement. They did not mention it in the booking descriptions.
cheryl (8/5): DA LAT STAY - The Tulip Hotel could use new carpeting. The area rug at the front door does not look to good for a first impression and the carpeting is worn through out. However, the front desk is very welcoming and our room was clean. The bath mat was awful and should be thrown out. Great location.
lovetotravel00 (4/5): Good location but facilities are lacking - Though the hotel is in a great location I can not recommend it to others for the following reasons: small ants on tables and beds; shower mat awful and used and broken and should be thrown away; towels are old and ragged; shower door broken; biggest problem is NO AC! So we had to leave the two doors and one window open throughout the day and night. Only redeeming thing was that Lien Ho bakery was directly across the street. Would find a better hotel and would happily pay more next time.

Room is so clean, fresh, large window and room clean service is very good. Infront of hotel is resonable price restaurant, good food, bakery shop,... very central in Dalat. Good t visit.

192benew (4/5): MUST Read. Can not confirm all the good reviews - So first of all, yes - the price is ok. But nothing more. Please see the pictures, the room is dirty, it has mold in the bathroom and windows, and the room smells (we couldn’t identify what, but I think it was some source of humidity that we could not get rid off by opening the window). The soap dispenser wasn’t even begun to fix, i think you can tell it should not be this way. Overall don’t get me wrong, the place is situated nicely in the city, the receptionist is very friendly and the rooms per se are not bad, it is just that they should have a word with cleaning staff and make sure the hotel gets back to their old standard. For now I would NOT recommend staying here unless you make sure your room gets cleaned thoroughly prior to the arrival.

We stayed in upscaled resorts and very cheap hotels in small vilages. The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of Dalat. The staff were very pleasent and helpful. The room for 4 pax was specious and even had a porch. Clean and tidy. Worth the price.

BelleMaye (8/5): Centrally Located Hotel - We travel from Nha Trang airport to Dalat and stay 2 nights in this hotel. We choose this hotel due to its proximity to Cho Dalat, the nearby restaurants and food stalls. Directly opposite the hotel, there is a bakery and some cafes and restaurants and it is very convenient for late night snacks. We booked our room via their website and for the 1st night we stay at the Executive Double Room located on the 2nd Floor and as the room faced the front of the hotel, it is a bit noisy. The room and bathroom are clean but the shower is just moderate. The towels are a bit worn out. On our 2nd night, we moved to the 3rd Floor and stay in the Deluxe Double Room and this room faced the backyard and therefore it is not so noisy. This room is actually more pleasant than Executive Room and the shower is good. Overall the hotel is clean and their staffs are nice and helpful and they help us booked our bus tickets to Dalat. The downside is that booking of room does not comes with breakfast and they only provide breakfast at USD5 per head. Since it is centrally located, we have our breakfast nearby. We will stay in this hotel again and would recommend to our friends.

Aquaboy666 (8/5): Nice hotel centrally located - This hotel is centrally located to night market and other features around Dalat, there is a Donga bank that exchanges money at a good rate out the door turn right and cross the road 800m. I stayed on the second floor found it to noisy as it was right above reception , The room and hotel very clean and comfortable except the bathroom a little rundown . the staff were very happy and helpful and organised a city tour which was cheap and a really good day full of fun. Beware of pick pockets at night market we didn't experience it but got told. the bakery right across the road has fresh banh mi and has a restaurant where you can sit down on 2nd and 3rd floor has very tasty food overall a great place to stay.

Verified traveler (8/5): - Bon rapport qualité-prix. Ce n'est pas le grand luxe mais les chambres sont propres et bien équipées. L'emplacement, au coeur de la ville, est idéal. Très bonne boulangerie locale juste en face: sandwichs, desserts, breuvages....ouvert pratiquement 24 heures. Bonne connexion internet et le personnel est très gentil. Chambre tranquille malgé la frénésie de la ville.

The price is so so. Staff need friendly and more communication with guests. Would not recommend for friends.
frandsen2 (8/5): Great value for money - Very nice place - we stayed in a family room with ample space for 4 people. Room was very clean and tidy. Plenty of hot water for a shower. Location is great for exploring DaLat city and very close to night market and many options for breakfast lunch and dinner. Considering the price - this place is steal! We would stay here again. Very friendly receptionists too.
Jianbo (8/5): - The hotel location is excellent. There is a famous bakery right across the street, and it is a easy and short walk to the Da lat market. The condition of the hotel is average. The quality and cleanliness of the towel is a concern. Also, unlike many hotels in Vietnam, there is no breakfast at this hotel.
Larry (8/5): Nice Downtown Da Lat Hotel - We spent three days at this hotel in mid-February, and would have no issue in recommending it. Note, however, that we had a room at the back of the hotel, so it was quiet compared to those closer to the street, what with all the horns - particularly the bus horns. The windows in the room sealed well, and the temperature was such that we were comfortable with the window closed, a relief considering no air conditioning. The room was a reasonable size, and the double bed conducive to a good night's sleep. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but entirely accurate. The hotel was renovated in 2015, so is in good shape. No issues with cleanliness.
Canice (8/5): 物有所值 - 酒店位置很方便，對面有一很大的餐廳和麵包店，食物水準不錯，很方便，往夜市場也很近，步行大約十多分便到了。酒店房間面積很大，衛生不錯，但浴巾比較殘舊，牀很適服，酒店有電單車出租，不貴，如果你懂間電單車，可以到各處遊玩，物有所值。

Bonnie (8/5): Great location, great staff - Great location close to restaurants, bars, markets, & a 10 minute stroll to the lake (though it is easy to get disoriented in the multitude of side streets and roundabouts)! We had a double room with a rooftop terrace which was basic but spacious. The staff are super friendly & helpful. Good value for the price!
Valerie (8/5): Good place to stay but must improve the flooring. - The staff are friendly & helpful to provide information for us to move around Dalat town. The only feedback was the improvement of toilet flooring condition, it was slippery and 2 of my friends slipped and fell in the rooms.

Bren (8/5): Comfortable hotel with pleasant and helpful staff - Good location close to night market and several good restaurants. As there are three Tulip hotels you must tell taxi driver which one it is (#1). We had a huge room that overlooked the street with a busy pastry shop across the street. The floors are high polished tile and are slippery when wet - be careful in shower! We enjoyed our stay at Tulip Hotel 1.

Verified traveler (2/5): 실망만 가득한 호텔 - 지독한 하수구 냄새 때문에 자다가도 계속 깼음. (체크인 하자마자는 안났었음) 직원한테 냄새난댔더니 아무 냄새도 안난다며 이상한 눈으로 쳐다봄.. 샤워기는 물이 졸졸 간신히 흘러나오고 화장실 환풍구는 호텔 복도로 뚫려있어서 복도에서 나는 모든 소리가 다 들어옴. 물론 내가 화장실에서 내는 소리도 밖으로 다 들림; 방 바꿀 수 있냐는 말에 확인도 안해보고 단칼에 다차서 안된다고 함. 이틀 예약한거 꾸역꾸역 지내고 나왔음. 여행 중 최악의 호텔이었음.

HOWON (8/5): 달랏 튤립1 호텔 이용 - 달랏 도착 후 체크인 시간까지 8시간이 남았지만, 혹시나 하는 마음에 가보았습니다.여직원 한분이 한국인이냐고 먼저 다가와 자신은 한류팬이라며 무척 친절하게 안내와 가방을 맡겨주겠다고 척척 해주시더군요 또한 체크인 시간을 추가비용 없이 09:00로 당겨주어 덕분에 일찍 들어가 쉴 수 있었습니다. 룸상태는 완전 청결하고 뷰도 좋습니다. 위치는 달랏마켓과 가깝고 버스정류장 또한 가까워 다딴라 폭포등 쉽게 여행지를 이동할 수 있었습니다. 캐녀닝 예약 시 하이랜드 투어에서 하려고 찾던 중 숙소에서 걸어서 5분도 안걸리기에 직접 알아볼수 있는 장점을 가지고 있는듯 합니다.

Walking distance to restaurants and night market and in front of the hotel have a very nice bakery shop Lien Hoa. Rooms are adequate with cable TV, wifi and fridge. No air con, Dalat doesn't really need that because the temperature is so nice. Staffs and the owner are friendly and helpful. Whenever you are in the lobby you are offered a cup of hot green tea. It would be perfect if they offer a free coffee and tea in the room and free breakfast.
