- Donna (8/5): Pretty good until we had to leave early, - The location and the ambience. We are a lovely suite with two balconies. We had a difficult time with the air conditioning. The first night we were miserable with too much cold wind we couldn’t turn off . We found out the batteries needed changing. The second night was better but the system was too difficult to understand and manipulate.. after that my husband got sick and we had to Change plans and start a long trip home. We lost two nights there and so over $800 . I wish we could have stayed.

- Yunsong (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay here. The host was extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The room was comfortable and everything was well arranged. One of the highlights was that the owner even let us experience his own Tesla Cybertruck, which made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended!
- Scoby (8/5): It was our retreat; we relaxed in the pool after a hike at Arches, and on our little veranda. And we enjoyed Moab. - Very comfortable room, wonderful pool and hot tub, and very quiet. The cafe breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. I appreciated the EV charger as well. I didn’t love the view from our room (parking lot) but what I hated were the small plastic bottles of water sitting on the desk for sale for three dollars. How petty!

The voucher for the food and drink covered the breakfast we had, however some might have had to pay out of pocket. We liked the breakfast arrangement. Overall the room was very comfortable and we appreciated having a private outdoor sitting area. Not a cookie cutter hotel. The bed was not overly comfortable. And the desk chair was broken. We did report the chair at checkout and the staff was responsive. We also would have appreciated having a second luggage rack to place our suitcases on, but when we inquired none were available.

- georgelT4050PY (2/5): Shower in the dark - What a dump! The Gonzo has turned into a flea bag hotel from hell and should be avoided at all costs!! Our shower didn’t have a working light, so I’ve had the pleasure of showering in the dark. (It makes you wonder how the cleaning service is able to service the shower - or if they’re able to?!?). Nickel and dimed at every turn: We were given a travel size body wash to use for two people for three days (not to mention the same for shampoo). World’s worst coffee - thank goodness we were only given two days worth. No coffee in the hotel lobby, just water ($3 bottles of water in the room). And their $14 breakfast voucher system requires you to go back to the front desk daily to get a new voucher (a cereal bowl is $10 - seriously?!?). There’s nothing special about this place except for their focus on hotel scam: Go to the Comfort Inn and get treated better for far less money!!!

- Kim (8/5): Very convenient, clean and spacious. - We booked a two bedroom, two bath suite and it was very large with a large terrace and small kitchenette. The room was immaculate. It was just off Main St., and an easy walk to stores/restaurants. The breakfast was underwhelming. The $14 voucher wouldn’t get you any eggs, only continental style breakfast. The additional charges made the breakfast the price of a very fancy brunch without the fancy.

- Lisa (8/5): - Great property. My son joined us so the 2 bedroom suite was perfect! Pool & hut tub was great. The property was much nicer than most of the others located on Main street. I didn't like that every thing in the hotel was available for purchase. It just seemed chintzy that water, snacks & even chapstick was available for purchase. Also the breakfast was weird. The $14 voucher did not even get you breakfast plus a coffee unless you went with the $10 oatmeal made from quaker instant oatmeal! $4 for a basic cup of coffee !

Our neighbor left their dog in the room unattended, and it barked constantly. The hotel next door is doing landscaping so its.... BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! at 8am from a front loader. The breakfast offered was below average. I wish we booked somewhere else.

The breakfast is meh. I would be charged $12.00 less and eat at one of the great breakfast spots in town.

- Trevor (2/5): Do Not Stay Here - Bed sheets were great I wouldn't stay here again and can not recommend it to anyone. The pool was dated and filthy. Kids running around and causing trouble banging on rooms and running away. Saw some kids trying to climb into the tumble dryer. Very noisy and the breakfast was the worst and most expensive I have ever had. This hotel is not worth the money. As mentioned previously you would need to bring your own toiletries because the ones they give you are too small. Towels are threadbare and generally the place is a total rip-off. Staff were rude.
- Maria (10/5): EXCEPTIONAL HOTEL - The Gonzo Inn is one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed on any trip! The staff is amazingly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The site is clean, well laid out, and in a beautiful setting off the main road. The location is perfect for walking everywhere in town. And finally, the vouchers for their made to order food were so convenient and the food was delicious and serve served piping hot! We love this place and we’ll recommend it to anyone coming to Moab.
- trevf2026 (2/5): Overpriced, dated, rip off - Very expensive, dated. Noisy Ac, inter connecting doors mean you feel your neighbour is in your room. Breakfast was part of the over priced room, BUT you get $14 per person. 2 sausage, small portion of scrambled egg, potato fried chunks and one piece of toast $12, plus coffee $3, means before you start you owe them more money. My partner had 1 single bagel, no coffee and our bills was more than the allowance. I have travelled the USA from east to west, and done the big 5 canyons and this is by far the worst , overpriced hotel I have stayed at. I will happily pay for service, but would never recommended this establishment.

Breakfast expensive and disgusting. Very noisy. Over priced with rude staff. Pool was filthy. You only get left over toiletries so need to bring your own. I have nothing good to say about this place
- Mkieler1 (4/5): Overcharged - Traveling back from Mexico I mistakenly made a reservation at the Gonzo Inn for April 14. It should have been for April 15. When I realized my error, I called and they were very cooperative and booked me properly. When I arrived on the 15th I asked if I had been credited. I was told there was no record of any charge. Upon arrival back in CO, I checked my cc statement and sure enough there was a $240.47 charge and credit for erroneous reservation. But the actual for our stay was $334.47. I called and asked for a copy of my bill as I failed to obtain one upon departure. Three times they've sent me a copy of the $240 credited statement. Now I have to protest charges with my cc and go thru that crap. Nice place to stay but watch them so they don't put their thumb on the scale.
- L1425WLkathyr (10/5): Gonzo Inn is AMAZING! - This was an absolutely amazing experience! The property is beautiful, with a lovely pool and spa surrounded by mature shade trees. The staff could not have been more friendly, helpfu and responsive. The complimentary breakfast was unlike any you've ever had at a "hotel". Equisite food and nice places to sit and eat. While it feels likes it's off the beaten path, shopping is just blocks away. The rooms have relatively private balconeys and porchs so you can continue to feel like you're outside. Separate bedroom from living room area, kitchen set up, clean bathrooms - I will be returning for years to come.

Took two days to get a reply about the baby crib. The guy at the reception when we were checking in commented on our coming from Geneva with something like "that's so disappointing" which was weird. He also stopped our check-in process, ignoring me holding toddler in need of a diaper change in my arms, to attend to another client who had cut into the conversation.
- Stephanie (7/5): Trying new places - Staff was warm and welcoming, very hospitable. The room was comfortable. They have a pet cat that is adorable and friendly. The hotel is advertise that it has free breakfast but in reality it’s just a $14 voucher for the restaurant next-door. The restaurant next-door has prices starting practically at that $14 voucher so you could really only get one item and then have to pay for the rest of your breakfast. The bathroom light flickered the whole time that it was turned on.

BUT Customer Svc. was 5-Star! - My wife and I had pre-requested a quiet room but ended up with the one with the ice machine in front of it and then the A/C unit rattled relentlessly. Rather than go through the hassle of a move for our second night, we hung tight and just suggested to them to have the A/C properly maintenanced for future guests. Much to our surprise, the front desk gal named Felicity absolutely insisted that she wanted to do something nice for us so she went out and bought a chocolate cake and served it to us while we sat at the fire-pit. And on the next morning, the day manager Deniz who had been alerted to the room problem, wouldn't let us pay for breakfast and told us he would apply a discount in our profile toward our next stay with them. In fact, all the front staff including Renee were incredibly helpful during our whole time there. Want GREAT customer service?--I recommend staying at the Gonzo Inn. We certainly will be!

The bistro was so fun and we really enjoyed all the details that the business puts into their room curation.

After being on the road traveling for 4 days it was so nice to have such a comfortable bed! That was worth gold! The salt water hot tub was a gem also! - sarapm2 (10/5): A little different in a great way! - The Gonzo Inn is a cozy family run small hotel that offers amazingly comfortable suites with very personalized services. Before we arrived, they sent email saying they could customize what bed is in the unit if we wanted a firmer or a softer mattress. It is worth noting that there are no elevators. Some of the units are upstairs. There are two floors to the hotel. The location was perfect as we were visiting Arches and Canyonland. The kitchenette was well appointed with dishes and silverware. There is a Keurig in the room with an assortment of coffee and tea. They have a guest laundry that seemed to typically have machines available. There is a small café attached to the building and they offer breakfast items as well as coffees. They will even pack a lunch for you to take with you. We visited early April and the pool and hot tub were both open. There was a hairdryer in our room, which I wasn’t sure there would be one because I didn’t see that listed on the amenities list. There were some personal hygiene items and soda and snacks in the room that you could purchase for $4.99 each. There are plenty of stores nearby so we didn’t need any of those things but they are here if you need them. The owner was working in the cafe when we ate down there in the morning! It’s a proud family run establishment! If you’re looking for a comfortable apartment style hotel this is it! It’s a hidden gem right off the Main Street in Moab.

There were only two of us, but The Gonzo would be a great stay option for families. We were up and out EARLY to beat the heat to do hiking and the breakfast they can provide if you are out before 7am is a nice treat.

We received a surprise upgrade upon arrival and the room was beautiful - spacious, well appointed, and pet-friendly. Our dogs struggled a bit with the metal grates on the stairs, but other than this our stay was wonderful.

It could have used a bit deeper clean. The vinyl flooring was dirty in places and I found a random pill and roll of medical tape that were not ours under the nightstand in the bedroom.
- JoAnne (8/5): Attractive, comfortable room in a great location & a credit towards a homemade breakfast - We had a comfortable, clean room on the first floor (the Inn has no elevator). The credit they gave us for breakfast paid for most of our cooked to order breakfast at the adjacent cafe, and the breakfast was excellent. The room was attractively decorated. The room was an excellent value and had a great location--you could easily walk into town. There wasn't a lot of space inside the room and no chairs to relax in other than a single desk chair--in a room for two people. The shower didn't get very hot or have a strong stream. Although we appreciated the credit for breakfast, it really didn't cover any of the breakfast options entirely (except maybe oatmeal or cold cereal) if you also ordered a coffee. For the amount of the credit, we could have each had a fancy coffee and breakfast sandwich at Starbucks.

Windows opened. Great Location in terms of Main Street Moab, but then again noisy. Ask for a room away from pool fans if you don't like noise. Water in shower turns opposite what you expect.

- Alan (9/5): Friendly staff and a great location. - Excellent location, everything was within walking distance. The bedroom was huge! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and just enough to get you by until lunch. The hottub felt great after a long day on the trail or watching your wife spend money in town. The bed was not comfortable for me or my wife. There was only one ice machine and it was downstairs. The room needed some maintenance, loose door knobs, some paint was needed to cover a previous repair, and carpet in the entryway was lifting up.

The owner was really nice and accommodating The mattresses are too soft, headboard is awkward and 2 of the front desk personnel were a little too into themselves. The lady was passive aggressive and the evening guy wanted to shut off the gas fire before he closed up shop

- LivingForTravel (10/5): Comfort, Convenience, and a Great Moab Stay - Great stay at The Gonzo Inn! The room was clean, spacious, and the balcony was a perfect place to relax. The location is ideal—right in the heart of Moab, with restaurants and shops within walking distance. The $14 breakfast voucher for the café is a nice upgrade from a typical continental breakfast. Friendly staff made the experience even better. Would definitely stay again!

- Robert (7/5): Great property with potential, but in need of updates - The staff were very friendly and the location was great. We loved the option for bedding preference, and the room and our stay were comfortable for the most part. The lighting throughout the entire property is horrible - bright, harsh cold white light everywhere. This tiny detail makes a huge difference in the overall warmth and comfort of the rooms and facilities. The lighting is perfect for open heart surgery but terrible for rest and relaxation. The only warm light is across the front of the property as seen from the street…everything else is like intense stadium lighting. While the room was comfortable, the commercial carpet tiles were badly stained and there was a strong smell upon entering the room. The furnishings and color pallet are very dated and in need of updates. The property has plenty of potential but the new owners need to focus on making necessary updates and improvements. Also, everything now has an extra cost…from the bottled water in the room to $4 refills for a tiny cup of drip coffee. Daily housekeeping is also not provided under the disguise of environmental concerns with the convenience of improved profit margins. We don’t need new towels and bedding everyday, but it would be nice to have someone to tidy up the room…which is the minimum one would expect from a hotel stay. If the new owners wish to maintain the favorable reputation that has been built up over the years, they need to make sure not to let greed take the best of them.

- Shawn (10/5): Great property with excellent staff to support it! - This boutique hotel is super stylish, funky and close to everything! My pup and I enjoy wandering around the property and liked the close proximity to the creek. The staff were awesome! Very helpful and communicative. I had to carry my pup up the stairs bc her paws would get caught in the grated steps. But I made it work.
- Aneka (10/5): Tolles Hotel in bester Lage - Das gesamte Team war so authentisch freundlich, dass es absolut erwähnenswert ist. Es war sehr hilfreich, dass es Wasch- und Trockenmöglichkeiten gab, die sogar mit Kreditkarte statt der üblichen 25 Cent coins funktionierten. Wir fanden die 14$ Gutscheine fürs Frühstück super. Klar, wenn man was schönes haben will, bezahlt man meist bissel was drauf. Fanden wir bei der Auswahl und den immer frisch zubereiteten Sachen aber total ok. Wer auf keinen Fall was dazu zahlen möchte, hat die Möglichkeit, sich eins von 3 Menüs zu bestellen, welches je einen exakten Gegenwert von 14$ haben (Oatmeal, Muffin oder Bagel mit je einem Getränk). Das Apartment war riesig und hatte 2 Balkone. Die Küche hat zwar keine Kochmöglichkeit aber eine Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank und etwas Geschirr. Wir haben uns total wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen lieben Dank nochmal an das ganze Team.

- Michael (8/5): Good comfortable, well located option but on the expensive side and breakfast isn’t really included. - Clean, comfortable, good location Price and the breakfast voucher system. When I booked I was led to believe breakfast was included. It turns out you get a $14 voucher which they tell you about via email after booking. This covers a dish but no coffee or other drinks unless yiu go for one of their measly “set menus” such as a muffin and a drink. Why not just take $14 off the price. Much more transparent.
