Guest Reviews
- ROBERT (8/5): Lovely Stay At La Loggia B&B - We really enjoyed our stay at La Loggia B&B. Yoyo and her husband could not have been any kinder or more welcoming. The location is within walking distance of the Vieux Montreal ( Old City). The rooms are comfortable and Yoyo makes a fabulous breakfast. We even had breakfast with their beautiful little daughter before she headed off to summer camp activities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice guest house. Good home cooked breakfest. Convenient to village and downtown
- Jeffrey (8/5): Wonderful breakfast, nice people, but.. - The couple was very kind and welcoming. The breakfast every morning was very nice made specifically for you in their beautiful garden. A selection of simple foods and snacks were available throughout that day which were convenient. We were disappointed with our particular room because the amenities listed online did not match what we received. Online suggested we would only have a shower and then share a bathroom, but that was not the case. Also it listed AC but we received a fan. It could be other rooms had these amenities but I am not sure. The sheets also had a couple of stains. Overall it was a fine place to stay, but a little uncomfortable at times. The location was really great right next to Berri-uqam the Metro station that connects to all trains around the city.
- Steven (8/5): Overall a decent place. - Room was a nice size, not well located. Near the front door and noise from upstairs until 11 PM. Nice breakfast. No housekeeping. Nobody came to make the bed or remove the garbage. Well located near Rue St. Catherine.
- Troy (10/5): - Absolutely fantastic. The owners are attentive, courteous and go out of their way to accommodate you. I definately would stay there again.
- Sara (10/5): Wonderful Montreal B&B - Wonderful B&B in great area of Montreal. Easy walk to the Old City and fabulous restaurants and delicious breakfast! Great hosts!
- William (10/5): Perfect blend - It was the perfect blend of the comfort of a B & B and the professionalism ( and space) of a high end hotel. Just wonderful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was really great to take a metro. It took 3-5 minutes. Yoyo (host) and her husband was very friendly and welcoming. She helped us to find a free street parking. Breakfast was served in the pretty backyard. Yoyo was such a good cook and served individual breakfast dishes. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Kira (10/5): Cozy, Comfy B&B - This is a lovely B&B on a residential street in the Gay Village are of Montreal. I was very pleased with my stay. The location is unbeatable. It's only a few blocks from the metro and near areas with heavy foot traffic, but the street itself isn't as busy. It feels like authentic Montreal rather than some of the tourist-heavy places I visited while I was in town.
The owners are very friendly and helpful in any way you need. I loved my room, which was cozy, comfy, clean and well-decorated. The walls are thin, but since it's a bed and breakfast there isn't a ton of noise or commotion. I didn't have any problems during my stay and the owners even went above and beyond by shipping me an item I left during my stay.
- Lori (10/5): Great little B&B - Great service. The owners were very helpful with local restaurants and figuring out parking.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very good location - Good place in a good location. Hot breakfast cooked fresh was the highlight of our stay. We enjoyed the big room in the back with it own private bathroom. Owners are kind and helpful.
- Alyssa (6/5): A Mixed Review - The owners of the hotel were not as advertised which was a little bit of a surprise, although they were very nice. We were asked to take our shoes off when we arrived. The shower head in our room was broken and needed to be replaced during our stay. The ceiling was low in the bathroom and made it difficult to shave in the mirror. The room was in the basement and had no street view windows. Wifi didn't work in the room. The owners helped us find street parking which was helpful after a long drive. The outdoor sitting area was very nice, and the location was good. It was on a more quiet street. Overall, we felt safe at this hotel, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, we would not stay here again.
- Winifred (10/5): Fantastic stay and will go back if I go to Montrea - The operator is very kind to help on all matters
- Verified traveler (8/5): Central Village Location Basic Accommodations - Shared - bath room was cozy but clean and comfortable. Room was below street level with one small casement window to street. Not the brightest room but fine for a day or two.
Shared bathroom was clean and well kept.
Breakfast served on patio and cooked to order...very nice
Coffee and fridge available in common space
Hosts were very kind and helpful...and directed to on-street parking which was free
A fine basic accommodation in the Village!
- ladd (8/5): Great location! - A great location, our room was a bit odd as the bathroom was up a rickety set of stairs, but the owners are lovely and it is clean. I'd recommend it!
- Ahiya (10/5): Geat breakfasts & athmosphere - The staff were amazing (especially Yoyo) and kind and helpful. The location is very good and the breafasts are the best one can ask for!
- NV (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at La Loggia Art B&B: it is quiet, in a great neighbourhood with easy access to metro and within walking distance to some of the main Montreal attractions. The room was in perfect condition and the breakfast was great, while the owner was very attentive, informative, and gave some great tips about the city.
- nellemb (8/5): - I liked the feeling that I was visiting friends rather than staying in a hotel. The room was comfortable. Coffee maker, electric hot water kettle with a variety of teas were nice touches. Great, fresh breakfasts with the opportunity to meet travelers from diverse places. Rob, one of the owner/managers, was a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful host.
- Dave (10/5): Amazing find in Montreal - This was a very unique B&B within walking distance of everything in downtown Montreal. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were full of original artwork and very comfortable. The breakfast was great (ask Guy to make French toast) and it was served in a nice outdoor setting.
- Markus (10/5): Why stay anywhere else? - I've been to Montreal many, many times over the years, and stayed with family, in hotels, rental apartments and B & Bs. Apart from family stays, none have been as good as my stay here. Centrally located within walking distance of Berri metro station (the major hub through which all the subway lines run), the theatre district and Ste. Catherine (the main shopping street), La Loggia makes it easy to get around. The host was helpful in locating a free street parking spot, and couldn't do enough to help orient me as to good local restaurants and activities. My room was on the ground floor at the back, with its own bathroom and kitchenette (bar fridge, microwave and sink). Even though my room looked out onto the back garden/outdoor breakfast area, it was quiet and didn't interfere with getting a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed. Breakfast is included in the price, and features all manner of local artisanal products, from jam to bread and cheeses, in addition to a wonderful chef who will whip up his special French toast with maple syrup (naturellement!), or eggs and smoked salmon. The coffee is incredible. I truly felt as though I lived in Montreal for a short time. La Loggia is an excellent value for the price. Highly recommended.
