- adam (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Keith (10/5): Really lovely stay in a characterful old inn. - The inn has lots of charm and is full of character. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were friendly and efficient.
The rooms were lovely and the bar and restaurant areas were cosy with excellent service and lovely food. A perfect stay. Nothing.
- Gerard (10/5): Brilliant place to stay, highly recommend - We had a lovely room in the garden suite, everything you needed with lovely decor, the bed was super comfy, and the room was lovely. Nice little extras in biscuits, hot chocolate etc, couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t already included, brilliant housekeeping. The sound proofing wasn’t amazing we could hear doors banging people talking etc
- Georgie (8/5): Just right! - Clean and friendly staff No way to control the temperature, very warm room. Only window was balcony door so couldn’t have it open at night
- Walker (10/5): - Beautiful location lovely staff
- Lindsay (9/5): Stayed for work but it felt really relaxing and genuine! Thanks to the staff! - Great people! Lovely pub and food in a brilliant location. A bit noisy in the room - road traffic.
- Lee (10/5): Fantastic room, reasonably priced, good food the pub and the staff were excellent - Great little room! We will definitely be returning

- Ian (8/5): Close to perfect! - Most everything material was perfect. Breakfasts amazing. Room and en-suite just fine. No steak on the menu due to price, let the client decide if it’s too dear. Room service not daily. No drinks service for residents after 11.00pm, as in not at 11.05pm though locals still drinking.
My grumbles are picky as the overall experience was excellent.
- Peter (6/5): An acceptable stay that served it's purpose but wasn't one we would seek to repeat - The reception staff and waters were very pleasant and helpful. The location is fabulous and the character of the building and its surrounding country is beautiful. Dinner was acceptable and there was a decent menu though food not first rate. Coffee at breakfast was excellent and unlimited. Breakfast service was great. Bar staff not at all helpful to bordering on rude. Bed was advertised as large and a £30+ upgrade from the standard room but was only queen sized at most. Very noisy (jet engine sounding!) WC hand dryer running time and time again on 1st floor affected our 2nd floor bedroom until 10.30pm when bar closed. Heating worked OK in the evening but was off in the morning and room was chilly as was the hotel. Front door was wedged open rather too much and wind blew through the dining area at times. Breakfast was underwhelming (I had Full English B which had good bacon, one poor example of a sausage, one slice of dried up black pudding, one small open mushroom (could have had 3 or 4), one tiny poached egg (was asked how I wanted my eggs plural), beans (OK - you can't easily mess them up).
- Samantha (6/5): Stunning but beds could be larger. - Park8ng great, good value for money very beautiful location Rooms noisy from road, 1 bed very small ...

The staff are wonderful too, especially Hannah who made my stay perfect from check in, right through to check out. Thank you NOT APPLICABLE
- Christopher (9/5): Good pub accommodation. - Clean and comfortable room. Excellent shower. Good value with breakfast. Nothing worth mentioning.
- Karol (9/5): Nice stay, second visit, nice evening in the bar, friendly and very helpful staff - Comfortable, friendly and good to be able to have an evening meal in a nice pub and toddle up to bed afterwards Nothing

Comfortable bed and bedding.
Nice hospitality features in room - drinks, biscuits. Creaky flooring but it's wood.
Large flat screen TV with lots of icons.
- hannah (10/5): No notes! 🤣♥️had an absolutely lovely night, room was perfect, food delicious food and lovely staff. Thank you xx - Perfect night, place and such delicious food. thank you so much xxx
- Jim (10/5): The Woodman Inn is Well Worth a Visit - Really good value for the standard of accomodation. Great location and very dog friendly. Great walks from the door. Rooms are well appointed, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Food was delicious and well priced. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Yorkshire folks are very friendly. This was my 2nd visit and would definitely return. What's not to like?

- Pedsville (10/5): - Great food comfy bed top shower Great location for walking clean as a whistle would highly recommend Nothing
- Richard (8/5): Always wanted to stay. Not disappointed. - Location, price and quality of the rooms. Lengthy wait for evening meal in the restaurant and s,ightly disappointing food quality at the evening meal. Breakfast however was good.
- Sharon (10/5): Very nice, we were there celebrating a 70th birthday - Location Toilet seat was loose

EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT.
- David (10/5): Great place to stay, great feeling and great staff, will be back! - Staff were extremely friendly, the whole place had a great vibe
- Maria (10/5): - Beautifull setting
- Pete (1/5): Stay at the travelodge for less. At least the TV will work. - The room was pretty dirty, with stained and fraying carpet. The bathroom door had dirty marks. There was dust everywhere. One of the downlighters wasn't working. The TV didn't work, at all, on any input. Wifi was unusably slow. Lack of desk made trying to do anything productive impossible. The nespresso machine was gross and the shower looked like somebody had used it prior to my arrival.
- Annie (9/5): Quaint hotel - great staff - Breakfast fab - dinner great nothing
- Curran (8/5): -
- Jonathan (6/5): - Location TV had very poor reception, in fact all channels were basically unwatchable.
- Kate (9/5): -
- Ben (10/5): -
- Sonia (8/5): -
- Guest (8/5): -
- Lesley (10/5): - Location nice rooms and a lovely breakfast
- amy (8/5): Terrific pub, would definitely visit again. - The food was great. The room was quiet and comfortable. Couldn't ask for more. There was a hand dryer we could hear from our room, which obviously stopped after closing. This would probably bother some people.
- Heidi (6/5): -
- Welton (9/5): -
- Ma&tas (10/5): -
- Kayleigh (10/5): I’ll be back! - Clean, warm, comfy bed the staff were brilliant good white wine
- TOM (10/5): ANOTHER GREAT SHORT BREAK. RETURNING SOON. - SUPERB STAFF WHO ARE ALWAYS HELPFUL, CHEERFUL AND WELL ORGANISED.
- Gary (8/5): Lovely hotel , excellent customer service - Lovely quaint property , friendly staff Nothing
- Bourgoing (9/5): -
- Martin (5/5): Very average and in some cases poor - Breakfast was poor...we didn't get what the menu said.
The eggs were pale and flavourless, the smoked salmon was laid on top of hot scrambled egg... so was partially cooked ..mine was supposed to be served with bagel, my wife's on sourdough... we both got top and bottom of a (possibly) ciabatta roll. The poached egg yolks were hard.
Dinner the previous night was better.. the fish was nice, but the katsu sauce was a joke.... it felt like bisto chicken gravy granules with the merest hint of Japan.
The onion baji burger was at best... average.
The menu talked a good talk.. but didn't walk the walk.
The supposed double bed was small, saggy.
The fire door sprung hinges made all the doors slam.. not good when you've been driving 5hrs and have another 6hr drive the next day, and you're continually being woken through the night.
I stayed here with family 4 years ago.. and it would appear standard have slipped.
Change in management?? Ownership??
Definitely felt like corners were not so much being cut as shaved off completely. See above
- Emily (9/5): Fabulous, clean, cosy, great staff, amazing food - Lovely pub and accommodation. Our first room had a small problem and as soon as I mentioned we were moved straight away. The rooms are lovely, super clean and the food and atmosphere in the pub is amazing. Staff really friendly. Overall a great and easy stay.

- Malcolm (8/5): - Nice and handy for the Wedding venue that we attended which was great. We appreciated an early check in at £15 extra. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and bathroom was a good standard with nice towels and toiletries provided. Tea and coffee facilities were good. Breakfast was very good. Overall we had a good stay. Carpets throughout the property are a little tired.

- Patricia (10/5): We had a perfect anniversary stay with a complimentary suite upgrade and outstanding service from Ha - We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience was truly remarkable from start to finish. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to the Thunderbridge Suite, which was absolutely perfect, spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable.
A special mention must go to Hannah at the front desk and Mel, who both went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail really elevated the experience.
If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate, book it! You won’t be disappointed. N/a
- Arrers (10/5): Until next time…. - We have been here three times now in four years and we love it. The staff are superb and have been every single time we have been-nothing is ever too much trouble. The room was in the annex and was fantastic value for money. The food both the evening menu and breakfast, are excellent

- Paul (8/5): Nice Hotel with excellent food - Overnight stay for work.
Hotel and restaurant was nice and particularly good value. The highlight of the overnight stay was the food which was of extremely good quality. ** Money charged to card before checkout **
Colleague issued a personal banking card on arrival to be used for holding. We were told no charges would be made to this card and informed staff that we would be using a company card on checkout. Halfway through breakfast the next day, full payment was taken including dinner and drinks. We hadn’t had chance to go through the final bill or pay on our company card as intended. The final total was also wrong and a 30% discount hadn’t been applied. Would suggest taking payment on checkout once guests have had chance to look over the final bill. Cards should not be charged before checkout whilst guests are at breakfast.
