• Brijpal (4/5): - Only pro is vicinity to Golden temple. Rooms not clean, roaches around bed and bathroom. Bathroom looked dirty .. old building with repairs going on giving it a bad look overall.

• Hardik (4/5): Below average Hotel. - I booked three nights for my mother and sister as they were visiting Golden Gate temple for couple of days. First day was good, room was clean, breakfast was also very good. Day 2 terrible experience. Room did not get cleaned, breakfast was not good. The food was uncooked, not enough, coffee without milk, nothing like day one. The rooms are very small, pictures on the website makes it appear bigger and bright, but in person it is not the same. Their service standards changes everyday. You would think they are located across from the temple, they would go above and beyond. I don’t recommend this hotel for family or even women.

• Subhag (2/5): - The worst hotel i hav ever been to. Avoid this hotel. We always use to stay here. Our last stay was in 2020 somewhat decent. This time we only stayed for one night and ended up canceling our entire stay. Expedia was unhelpful in providing refunds. Unless u wanna get sick and keep changing the rooms, dont stay here. Mold and mildew everywhere. They treat their people very bad. Mosquitos everywhere! I can go on and on.

• SK (8/5): Near to Golden Tempe - This is our 2nd stay in this hotel. We selected this hotel as it’s conveniently located. Within 1 min walk to the golden temple - Akal Takath Hotel staff were accommodating and alert to our requests especially since I had elderly parents with me.
• Suzanne (10/5): Best location on Amritsar - Literally only a one minute walk from Golden Temple, this hotel was quiet with excellent western and indian food at breakfast and room service, really comfortable beds, clean and very friendly helpful reception. Good view from rooftop restaurant and easy to get tuk tuk transport from there to go around town.
• amandeep (2/5): Location is good. - I had two rooms booked. As per our booking rooms were not given which we were paid for . Initially he said to talk to expedia if I need the particular room. After a long argument with the hotel manager some how he gave one room. Terrible experience as family had to adjust in small room being paid for large one. Top of it the customer care person clarifying that features are not part of booking. Its not the way to treat a customer else you must mention in bold under your website else dont show the room. If u do so it's ur duty to provide the same. Just imagine you being with your family under same situation . Hope for a revert.

• Darshen (6/5): Cleaniness and commitment lacking - They commit to clean the rooms but failed to live up to it. They blame the staff and accept customers to accept it. We then asked them to forget the cleaning up the room and just give us the tea bags and replacement of towels. Tea bags did not come and we asked them avaim and again blame staff. I gave feedback that one time can be a mistake but repeating it reflects management lack of follow through on weakness even when identified.
• lindsay (8/5): Excellent position to visit the Temple - Only 50 yards from one of the temple gates. Clean and pleasant building. Good self service buffet breakfast in the restaurant on the (enclosed) roof giving a good view of the temple. The food in the restaurant (evening only) was very good but absolutely no atmosphere, we were the only ones there for 3 consecutive nights, someone turned the lights on when we got out of the lift doors. I can only assume that everyone else were having room service!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location - The location was perfect for the Golden Temple and exploring the Old City. Be mindful that the hotel is right next to the Golden Temple and taxis can not get to it. Pre arrange with the hotel an airport pick up. The staff are some what friendly. Breakfast was good and had a view of the Golden Temple. We even had dinner from the restaurant on our first night and it was very tasty. The room was cold ( stayed early Jan), with not option of heating, however we did get another blanket.
• Logan (8/5): Awesome Budget Hotel next to Golden Temple !! - Hotel was right next to Golden Temple , the reason for my visit to Amritsar and was a good overnight stay, Room clean and functional, reception and staff friendly and helpfull, taxi service from airport prompt and well priced .. A good Budget stay if your main reason for a visit is The Golden Temple as its on the doorstep .!! The chai wala in between hotel and Golden Temple was an awesome place to rest and enjoy a great glass of chai (the best i had in India) and a great chat with the locals !!!

• Marie (6/5): Location Hotel - The important thing about this hotel is the location, since is right in front of the Golden Temple. You are able to see it from the terrace in top of the restaurant. Now, getting to the hotel from the train station was a mission almost impossible, the driver left us in the middle of the way because of the traffic caused by people walking in and out, and a man in his bicycle was the only one who could. The room was small but comfortable enough to walk around, internet works fine, A/C a little noisy, breakfast was traditional and bathroom was clean. Bed mattress was hard as rock, and pillows flat.

The moment we saw the Hotel I was literally shocked & thought that the Hotel is closed as some floor polishing work is going on . Other rooms are quiet big, the bed is not comfortable at all. Overall I would give only a 3 star breakfast was good.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Best Little Hotel, CLOSEST to Golden Temple - First of all you have to realize that this rating is for a hotel in India. Things are different there, unless you're staying at a world brand chain. The rooms are basic and at the time the hotel was renovating. However, i've stayed here before and the staff is impeccable. If you want to get somewhere they can get you a driver and you will get there. You don't have to worry about getting ripped off. This hotel is great for those wanting to see the Golden Temple and walk around Amritsar. It's literally steps away from the entrance. It's really a hotel for pilgrims whose main objective is spending time at The Golden Temple. OH, the breakfast is phenomenal. 175 IN Rupee which is about $2.75 USD-- amazing Indian food buffet. Cannot be beat. The price of the rooms are fantastic too.
• Rita (2/5): Unpleasant stay at Le Golden. Poor value for money - The location is good but the state of the hotel was appalling . Refurbishing was being done in the entrance lobby so there were wires everywhere, it was dusty, there was very strong smell of chemicals and it was noisy . Our room was on the ground floor opposite what seemed to be a dirty storeroom infested with Mosquitos . The decor of the room was in a bad way, the room was dusty, the shower and toilet had not been cleaned when we checked in around 5.30. The Ac cover fell on my daughters left shoulder, the knob fell off whilst adjusting the setting on the AC. The attitude of the manager on duty was very rude. I am surprised that your website was unaware of the refurbishing works . Had the room been in the next floor it may have been tolerable. Our whole evening was ruined trying to get things sorted out including speaking to the hotels.com customer service team. What should have been a peaceful stay solely for the purpose of visiting Harmandir Sahib turned out to be a nightmare. In the hotel's favour the other staff were good, they were apologetic and helpful
