Guest Reviews
- Bernadine (4/5): - Rooms did not have a good smell at all. Bathroom vent above the tub/shower was very dirty. Pillows was nice and soft but the bed was too soft. Left with a bite mark just under my eye so they really need to fumigate that place, after almost a week my eye finally looks better with an antibiotic treatment
- Sarah (6/5): - Quiet hotel friendly staff.. beds are hard and floor felt dirty…too bad it doesn’t offer continental breakfast
- Arnold (6/5): - Need fans in the bathrooms
- Allan (8/5): Great - Great
- LeeAnne (8/5): - Clean room , quiet place and staff was friendly
- Beverley (4/5): - Extremly dated.hallways are in desperate need of repair. Our room was very dated. Opening the curtains was a surprise we looked into a store room. Only one night there thankgoodness. Somekind of trapdoor in our hallway on floor that was collapsing down on oneside.
- Kristy (6/5): - Front desk staff was super friendly and accommodating. When we arrived to the room our daughter found beer bottle caps beside the bed. There was no latch lock on the door. I found it quiet through the night even tho they were sold out which was nice. Definitely needs some upgrades but not horrible.
- Jessi (6/5): - The service was wonderful! The room itself was musty smelling but clean
- Emily (4/5): - I stayed here for a part of my preceptor
. I worked mainly nights and they did not allow me to late checkout. When i asked to pay for another night they said they were fully booked despite expedia stating they had open rooms. Didnt have a fitted sheet on the mattress just a top sheet. Room was outdated. When i spoke to the manager they were unkind and spoke quite harshly. I was asking for a late check out at 1 pm to allow me to sleep alittle bit before i had to commute back home. I will not be staying here again
- Spencer (10/5): - Happy with the stay.
- Becca (8/5): - It was a cozy room. The lamps were a nice design . There was a mini fridge freezer to keep food if I had needed .
It is like most hotels I have stayed in.
I guess they don' t have a pool there anymore but I was looking for a pool anyways.
- Daryl (6/5): - Clean room. Served the purpose
- Debbie (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff. Food in restaurant was great
- Rodger (6/5): - Expensive for what was offered
- Florence (8/5): - Close to the ballpark.
- Leslie (10/5): - Check in was straightforward. Room was clean and spacious. There is no swimming pool anymore but that didn’t bother me. Restaurant doesn’t open till 0900.
- Arnold (8/5): - Staff were great and on-site restaurant provided a nice meal. Clean room and very quiet. Great sleep.
- Jason (10/5): Great service, good support - Excellent stay. Staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met.
- Lori (6/5): - The stairs to our room were dirty. The room itself was clean. The mattresses were old and saggy. My husband had a sore back from a poor sleep as a result. The staff was friendly.
- Reg (8/5): - Quick check in. The beds were comfortable, clean room. I would stay here again.
- KARI (6/5): - Since it’s all gravel, it tracks in dirt when it rains. There are a number of construction/tradespeople who stay here and the job sites are under construction so dirt gets tracked in. The carpets in the stairwell are worn out.
- Zafarullah (10/5): - Friendly staff. Clean room.
- TERRY (8/5): - Room was clean. Staff was friendly. There was no coffe pot in the room but available in the lobby. The shower had no handrail and there was no anti slip matt in the tub.
- Dora (4/5): - Very old hotel that didn't seem very clean. Breakfast was available but only starting at 9:00 am, far too late for many travelers who needed to get to the pool by 7:45. The room didn't even have a coffee machine. Thankfully, there was coffee available in the lobby.
- IVAN (10/5): - Hotel was clean, It could use some updating but that does not stop it from being a good location
- Michael (8/5): - The location
- Zafarullah (8/5): - Good stay for work
- terrance (6/5): - Porperty is old, needs to be updated. The hallway rug was stained and dirty.
- Heather (10/5): - Hotel is an older hotel, however it is very clean, and the rooms are comfortable. In addition, the price is very affordable. We would stay there again.
- Sue (10/5): - It was clean ,quiet and staff was very polite and helpful.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Clean rooms, friendly staff
- Joshua (8/5): - No good
- Michael (10/5): - Quiet and safe
- Linda (8/5): - The front counter people were wonderful! Bedding ,room old looking! Bed comfortable!
- r (6/5): - Needs refurbishing, carpets in lobby and hallways.
- Darlene (8/5): Basic Hotel with Comfy Beds - Basic hotel. No pool. No coffee in room. Beds were very comfy. Room great temperature. Quiet for being full.
- brooke (6/5): - All was good! Just wish it was posted that the pool and hot tub are closed for renovations.
- Claudette (8/5): - Room was a lil older but so clean. Towels were soft and extra white. Restaurant on site had really good breakfast and good pricing. Staff was so friendly
- sherice (10/5): - One of my best girlfriends just had her wedding there and honestly the staff was great and the venue beautiful
- Kurt Cj (8/5): - Its good place
- Deanna (10/5): - Great stay
- Gerry (8/5): - Staff was friendly. It is dated but we were just looking for a bed and a bathroom so it was fine. And for a decent price.
- Colten (6/5): - Resturant was good at one time. Not so much this stay. Rooms are basic, but matresses need to be replaced as they are very soft.. Hotel checkin was painful. Booked on expedia and it almost seemed that they didn't know about my reservation.
- Narie (8/5): - The front desk staff is very lovely and accomodating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic Stay - We were there for an event so it was basically a place to sleep. It covered our needs and was close to the sports arena.
- Jason (10/5): - Needs a Pool , Free Continental Breakfast , and Restaurant that is Open whether a Long Weekend or Not
Needs a Complete Renovation
- larry (10/5): - Perfect
- anita (8/5): - Decent place.
- Brian (4/5): - I was a little upset, when my guest said that I didn’t pay for the room… John had to go back and verify it was paid for…
- Brigitte (6/5): - We stayed here as we were in town for a ball tourney. Nothing fancy, but it was clean. The restaurant had good service and good prices. I would stay again.
- Peter (6/5): - Property is starting to do needed upgrades
- Sandra (10/5): - Nice stay.
- Jessica (10/5): - This stay was one of my favorites, and we do a lot of nights in hotels lol.
Pet Friendly was huge, and the best part was they didn't charge extra for my dog!! I mentioned him to the desk attendant when I was checking in and all she said was 'Thats fine' and handed me my key.
The ease of check-in was excellent; they didn't charge a deposit - which again, is huge because when I'm travelling sometimes I have to wait several days to get my deposit back, it's a frustrating part for me when staying in a hotel.
The room was clean, there's was complimentary coffee on site, it was quiet despite being on the ground floor and close to where I needed to be!
- Douglas (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Justin (8/5): - Get what you pay for… pool has been closed for a considerable amount of time so should have been notified of that and not advertised as having a pool… all in all an ok cheap option for a weekend stay…
- Joan (10/5): - Room was very comfortable. But needs some repairs done in the bathroom. Tub tiles all worn out. Not very modern. But for the price it was good.
- Kevin (6/5): - Dated and smelt bad.
- Chad (8/5): - Rooms are dated, but priced accordingly.
- Max (10/5): - The staff was excellent very professional
- Mark (8/5): - The staff are friendly and helpful. Its an older property that needs updating however its clean and safe. Good for a business traveler.
- Brent (8/5): - Work going on outside.
- Dennis (10/5): Good overnight stay - Our overnight experience was good. Comfortable bed and a good sleep
- Joan (8/5): - Nice enough but definatly needs an update.
- Murray (6/5): Rooms and hotel are dated but dry and warm. - The Service was adequate, nothing over the top. Pool was out of service, (disappointing).
Establishment appeared to be clean.
Having a restaurant attached to the hotel was definitely a bonus however, hours of operations leaves a lot to be desired.
Room was cramped and definitely dated. No modern features (i.e. coffee maker in the room, no USB charging ports, TV very small by today's standard. Bed/pillows were comfortable and I have to say, the linen was super soft. Surprised me. Was not impressed to see power cords wrapped around the base of lamps and some cables looked like a 3-year old did the repair and merely wrapped up the wires with electrical tape. Was kind of them to have water (2) in the fridge. Staff allowed us to park our motorcyles in front of the hotel where surveillance cameras could keep an eye on our bikes, That was comforting. Staff were friendly when needed to deal with them.
- Karl (6/5): - Property is old and smells musty
Gould use a major overhaul
- Randall (8/5): - Stayed one night it was okay The heat rad in the room worked good as it was really warm but it was noisy the shower and tub area and windows need to be renovated
- Clayton (6/5): - The parking area was covered in snow. Pool wasn't working.
- Linda (8/5): - This is an older building but well kept, quiet and safe. 24/7 staff in duty. Food is excellent.
- Richard J (6/5): - Back door didn't close and needs secure lock with card key access for safety.
- Eric (8/5): - Room was clean but dated . They were a little on the cheap side for soaps etc . Other wise the room was ok .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room very dark. No natural light and it looked out on a closed swimming pool which was being used for storage. No coffee or tea in room.
Beds not the best.
Restaurant next door had pretty good food.
- Karl (4/5): - Old business that has not been kept up plain and simple!
They didn’t make up the room on Saturday
Would not recommend this place
- Verified traveler (2/5): No pool or hot tub! - We were there for a wedding event at this hotel. My sister booked 2 night room and my elderly mother, who has limited walking ability, and myself booked a second 2 night room.
We booked a 2 night stay to enjoy hot tub and sitting by the pool to enjoy time with our mom and then would attend the wedding event Saturday evening.
The pool and hot tub was closed and it did not state this on the site when I booked. No where on the site did it say the pool was shut down… we discovered this when we looked for the pool.
Also no iron and ironing board in the rooms as stated on the amenities. If this was known, we would have booked our stay at the canalta where other family members stayed or only stayed the Saturday of the wedding. Very disappointed to say the least.
The rooms were clean, but small. We had a tough time getting around the room with the walker as well.
On a good note - The hotel had me booked on the second floor (no elevator) but did accommodate me and changed my room to the main floor. Was happy they could do this for my mom.
- Shaun (6/5): - Looked out the window and it was a view of the old pool area. The area was used as storage and filled with new and old mattresses as well as couches and snowblowers. Not the view a person wants to look at from your hotel room
- Eric (10/5): - Everyone is nice!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - Website and Hotels.com information indicated indoor heated pool. Pool was not open and no notice was given at any point, even during check-in while speaking to front desk agent. No coffee maker in the room. Service in adjoining restaurant was terrible with long wait time for service and meals and is very overpriced.
- Amanda (6/5): - The room was cold and the window looked into the pool area that is now a giant janitors closet. Hallway vacuuming started right at 8am on the Saturday morning and with the paper thin walls it was a rude way to get woken up. We likely wouldnt rent there again
- sherri (8/5): - Everyone was very accommodating
I hope they are able to resolve their pool issues
Which isn't their fault hope it gets better for them
The room was clean and comfortable
- Judy (8/5): - We had never stayed at the Bella Vista before and were impressed with the cleanliness and quiet. We had an enjoyable supper and our server was very attentive and professional.
- Linda (10/5): - No issues. Food was really good.
- Stacey (8/5): Shenanigans - Our stay was good! Had a family gathering. I know we were a bit loud at times and was not bothered by the staff or other guests. Thank you for not complaining other guests. Lol I hope the housekeeper enjoyed our little jokes left behind, hope it made her day!
- David (8/5): - This hotel is starting to show its age. Could use a facelift soon.
- Sandra (8/5): - Just a few minor upkeep concerns. Light bulb burnt out. Tap in sink not working properly so unable to control water temperature. Curtain not hung properly. Bit noisy in morning as work crews leaving but expected that by the trucks in parking lot. Overall not a bad stay at all.
- stephen (8/5): - Needs to be updated.
- Leanne (6/5): - The property is getting a bit dated. The decor is old in the rooms. We were happy that we did have a fridge and microwave in our room.
- Helen (8/5): - Good to stay at.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - excellent stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We would stay again older person with copd not happy about no elevator
- James (4/5): - When we used the bathroom facilities the water in the toilet continually ran and the sink faucet fell off in our hands. On a previous visit there was no hot water which my husband was not told about upon arrival but sure found out when he showered in the morning. The response from the desk clerk was " oh yes we are having hot water problems", a discount was requested but was ignored. Not a good lication to stay at.
- Susan (2/5): - The hotel has no secured entrance - people can come and go off the street just by entering side doors. Other clients left their room doors wide open and had visitors coming and going. Rates are not inexpensive so expected much more. New hotel in town was only $20 more but all rooms were booked. Obvious why now!
- Patricia (6/5): - The hotel isroom were okay.
- Lisa (8/5): Great stay! - Very comfortable and very friendly.
- Troy (10/5): - Hotel is dated but keep clean. The rooms are small but clean. Beds are decent. Pool needs some TLC but is clean and warm as is the hot tub. Saunas were nice even though for half my stay the mens sauns had no lights that worked. Restaurant has great food. Overall For the price and location I would recommend.
- Bob (8/5): - Very convenient for shopping, eating, etc - I just came slept and went so didn’t have opportunity to explore. Check in and check out were efficient and friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The restaurant was closed when i got there sunday night. I was told it opens at 8 but it didnt open until 11. The pool was closed.
- Greg (6/5): - Good location, nothing fancy. Beds are small, plenty of room for two queen beds in the room, but they’re only doubles
- Graham (10/5): Great service and comfortable - The motel was conveniently located and comfortable. The rooms were not too modern but fine and clean. The connecting lounge and restaurant were great to have so close by.
- Km (10/5): - Was a fantastic stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! Amazing pool, sauna, and hot tub, just what i needed to relax 😁
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice clean rooms with good quality beds and furniture. Was disappointed that the pool hours did not extend well into the evening, though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A clean older hotel but good value and reasonable rates. Food at restaurant is good too!!
