• Kaltoum (1/5): - L’emplacement de l’hôtel reste très bien, c’est d’ailleurs pour ça que je revenais souvent ici quand je viens à Laâyoune. À l’époque, c’était vraiment l’un des meilleurs hôtels où j’ai séjourné dans la ville. Malheureusement, avec le temps, j’ai trouvé que l’hôtel a beaucoup perdu en qualité. Les chambres, les salles de bain, les tapis, les lits et le matériel en général sont devenus très vieux et abîmés, et les lits ne sont plus confortables. Le plus dérangeant pour moi reste surtout le service et le manque de contact avec certains membres du personnel. Le jour de mon départ, j’ai reçu un appel bien avant midi pour me rappeler que le check-out était à 12h. Tout le monde sait qu’un check-out est à midi, et normalement on contacte le client à partir de midi passé si nécessaire. J’étais venue pour une fête de famille et je m’étais couchée très tard, vers 3h du matin. J’avais déjà prévu mon réveil et organisé mon départ pour être à l’heure avant mon vol. Être réveillée inutilement avant l’heure prévue m’a vraiment dérangée, surtout que je suis quelqu’un qui apprécie le calme et le respect du repos des clients.

• Fernando Filipe Rodrigues (1/5): - De nada Hotel péssimo especialmente a limpeza muito má Posso afirmar que ja estive em hoteis maus mas este em especial é terrível muito mau A casa de banho a agua do chuveiro nao evacuava, o chão do quarto carregado de cabelos e pelos (possivelmente pelo púbicos), os lencois com marcas de calçado Escusado sera dizer que pedimos para trocar de quarto e o outro ainda estava pior A piscina existente é uma coisa enexistente, suja e sem qualquer condições de uso Nas partes comuns do hotel nao existe qualquer limpeza e os elevadores sujos O pequeno almoco apesar de ter alguma variedade so o cheiro a fritos na sala de jantar é enjoativo Mal dormi e o pequeno almoço somente petisquei Nao recomendo ninguem a ficar alojado neste susposto hotel que de hotel nao tem nada

I walked through the door ahead of another guest, so should have been served first, but as i reached into my bag to get my passport, she walked away to the other person and checked them in! Then she looked at me like i had crawled from under a stone and said "do you have a reservation?". I showed her the hotels.com confirmation. By this time the sour faced manager had come over. They talked in Arabic about me and my booking (i dont speak it but i heard the word expedia several times). She gave me the key to 243. 243 is a second floor corner room looking into a quite courtyard that is never used. The manager pulled the key card back from me and said something to her and she gave me 103. 103 is 1st floor, right at the top of the stairs from the large lounge/bar area. It overlooks the courtyard where they were setting up a conference. So noisy all the time. I went to use the toilet ... unflushed with a charming gift of a wad of paper with number 2s on it. Went to flush it, the cover of the push button was missing, so had to press on a little plastic stub to flush. Sat down, piece of rubbish behind the door and what i can only assume was more you know what splashed on the wall. Told them about it. Nothing done. Asked for discount at checkout. Refused. Terrible treatment, avoid this place.

• Suad (10/5): Amazing staff, beautiful design and convenient location - The staff were amazing. Khalid was very friendly and helpful to give advice how to spend time in the city. He works during breakfast. The location is perfect and so everyone in reception was helpful. I had a happy stay . The room was spacious and the cleaning lady for my room was lovely giving me tips what to do in the city. If I might suggest, it would be nice to add fruit in breakfast. And it looks that runners in hallway is in time for change.

• Roger (8/5): Good Place to Stay - We were doing a charity road trip from the UK to The Gambia and our cars were laden with gifts that we were taking to hand out at our final destination. Unfortunately a lot of gifts were of necessity inside the car and on display. A secure private car park was therefore a must and this hotel met that requirement. Best way to describe the hotel is faded glory - it must have been quite something in the 1970’s but is now a little tired and in need of a facelift / freshen up. Rooms were of reasonable size with somewhat dated furniture but were clean and comfortable. The staff however need to be singled out for special attention as they were warm and welcoming and helped make our overnight stay a pleasant one. Nothing

The man at reception was very understanding and changed the date of the reservation for free and I was able to check in at 8am. Staff were lovely and the location was great.

• Miranda (1/5): Not how to run a business - The location The ac was loud in the room. Room was stinky. Check out is 12pm and housekeeping stripped our beds at 930 am. Then upon leaving we were charged more because the receptionist that checked us in didn't do his math correctly so we ended up paying more. Interesting since I had to check out early as my room was completely stripped from housekeeping.

I also didn’t realise that my extended use of the room was not charged for. I must have seemed very ungrateful but they didn’t tell me !

• Verified traveler (2/5): - The hotel concierge arranged for a car and driver to take me to Nouadhibou in Mauritania and I was required to pay the entire cost of the trip before departing the hotel. The driver dropped me off at the border in Guerguarat (Western Sahara) after the border was closed for the day and drove back to Laayoune. As a result, I was stuck at the border overnight for 17 hours with nowhere to sleep and no place to eat. The following day, I had to pay another driver to take me across the border and to Western Sahara. This is the most dishonest behavior I have ever experienced from a hotel and the driver anywhere in the world, and I’ve visited over 50 countries. In addition, the dinner in the restaurant is terrible. I had the chicken entre and I had to spit it out because the meat was rotten.

• Max (10/5): The best hotel in all of Laayoune - I stayed here on a work trip to the W. Sahara for four days. I picked this hotel as it was the only one on Orbitz, but it did not disappoint in any way. It is located in the center of town, and it is never to dull as a large amount of U.N MINURSO peace keepers stay here. The rooms are high quality, and for the price you pay, you are getting allot.
