Guest Reviews
- Alenka (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zadeth (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean and had HOT WATER đđ It's just old, but that's ok!
- Ignacio (8/5): Fine! - Your location! Really, it was all fineâŠ
- Pablo (7/5): Good -
- Zofia (10/5): Highly recommend Hospedaje Claudia - Hospedaje Claudia was a great place to stay! The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The room was spacious and comfortable, and they even organized sandboarding for me at a great price. Excellent service and overall a wonderful experience â highly recommend!
- Kumudhavalli (8/5): Very good -
- Arthur (8/5): Helpful staff organizing sand buggy ride - quiet room towards the sand dunes -
- Nicole (7/5): Good - Good location
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Léa (8/5): Very good - The space and the view
- Léa (9/5): Superb - Big room, super clean No hot water
- Aruna (8/5): Convenient and clean - Very well located--in fact I had no idea but Huacachina is so tiny, everything is a maximum 10 minute walk. Comfortable and clean. It wasn't as cute as the photos. My room had a balcony that was shared with other rooms--so had to be a bit more mindful about security. There is ongoing construction in front of the property as they are building the road and it's quite dark, so that may be a bit tricky to traverse.
- Carlos (5/5): Aceptable for price - Service, parking, location. Lack of curtains on window, toilet leakage.
- Liang (5/5): You have to see the surrounding areas before booking it. - Generally speaking, itâs a hotel with good price and location. The hotel waitress who was on duty during the day was very nice, helped me a lot on calling the cab and booking the activities, Iâm so grateful for that! However,Itâs too noisy, there is a construction site right in front of the hotel, many workers were there. You have to walk through it to get into the hotel, which is also not safe enough.
- Qishu (7/5): Good -
- Lana (7/5): Good breakfast and nice terrace, keep in mind the construction work on the street - The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was really good and the terrace on the roof is amazing with a nice view. There is a hot water. There is a construction going on right next to the hotel (they have only started so probably it will go on for a while) and it is extremely loud. Usually this doesnât bother us, but they were working until 2am.
On the hallways and lobby you could see that hotel is quite old, the staff is not really helpful or engaging. They speak poor English. We have booked the taxi through the hotel from the bus station and he was 40min late + the price was twice as much compared to Uber.
I would say it doesnât really justify the price you pay.
- Sherry (9/5): Superb -
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christophe (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryohei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Warren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Jieying (9/5): Superb - The courtyard is very nice where you can hang around. Walkable to plaza de armas The rooms were a little small but cosy
- Morgan (2/5): Very poor - Nothing Everything
- Joshua (2/5): Good location overall, the it was not the best would like a partial refund - It was a good area of walking distance to about everything First of all, the pool is not included in what you pay so donât get fooled by that. Also, the TV did not work at all. It is just there for decoration. Basically the dresser didnât even have any hangers the water and the sink was brown and gross will probably not come back to this hotel
- Samuel (7/5): Good spot for Huacachina. First room was a bit shabby, but when the toilet had issues I was changed to a slightly nicer -
- Kaah (6/5): Pleasant - No hot water in shower
- Merike (8/5): Good place to stay for some days - Comfortable, big beds
- Trevor (6/5): Pleasant -
- Polonca (7/5): Good -
- Jonathan (10/5): Excelente lugar y atencion!! - Excelente lugar y atencion!!
- Sorcha (9/5): Nice stay - Comfortable bed, hot shower, nice basic breakfast included. It is on the far side of town which makes it quiet and as Huacachina is small it's only a few minutes to walk into the main part of town. Wifi worked pretty well
- Christelle (7/5): Good -
- Rohit (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amrit (10/5): great location and friendly staff - friendly, helpful staff.
location was amazing, overlooking the sand dunes.
good breakfast
we broke one of our electronic devices. Ruby at the reception tried a few places to fix it. n/a
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (7/5): In quiet area with good breakfast - Large room with a ceiling fan and a cosy blanket in quieter area. Good breakfast on roof terrace with rolls and freshly cooked eggs. Difficult to regulate shower temperature.
- Diana (5/5): Passable - Very very basic
- Tiana (7/5): Affordable accomodation in Huacachina - Good location.
We were able to check in early. Our room could have been a bit cleaner upon arrival. The floors were a bit dirty.
There was no soap provided in bathroom. However, it was a more affordable option in the area.
- Artem (8/5): Very good -
- Viracha (8/5): Very good - Receptionist is friendly and helpful
- Brian (2/5): Glad to get out to be honest - It was a strange stay to be honest, staff or possible owners kept staring at me and sniggering đ€, just strange for me anyway 2 doors in room
- Charmeli (7/5): Itâs ok for a one night stay. Iâm - The hotel is just at the entrance the lake neighborhood. Easy to find, easy access to the lake and of course surrounded by the sand dunes. No toilet paper in the bathroom nor hanger for towels, etc. Bfast was very simple, limited to one small jar liquid coffee for two person, not enough for coffee drinkers. đ
- Natalie (7/5): Nice little hotel quite quiet friendly staff who kept smiling even when they had to let us in at 1 am - Clean friendly
- Alisha (7/5): Not bad - Nice spacious room Rooms next to the road is extremely noisy so definitely worth spending a bit extra for an inward facing room!
- Holly (6/5): Pleasant - Very basic accommodation, beds werenât the best but for a short stay were ok.
- Agata (10/5): Amazing place! - Nice host, clean and comfortable rooms. And a place where you can have a relaxing, quiet stay. Also, the first and only shower that was working perfectly fine during my stay in Peru! :) For what I was super grateful. And a delicious breakfast served on a beautiful terrace. N/A
- Suzanne (1/5): Wouldnât recommend - Nothing Mess everywhere when we arrived as lots of work being done, but only patching up holes. Dirty looking chairs in the hallway. Overlooking the pool which by the way is nothing to do with Claudia. Nothing welcoming or comfortable about this accommodation. Probably the best bit was the room terrace where they served breakfast which was ok I suppose. Wish weâd stayed in one of the lovely hostels
- Carmen (8/5): Good place for a night to see the sanddunes - It is central to walk to the sand dunes and main street. -Friendly staff and a beautiful view from the terasse, where we had a nice breakfast. A pick up from the bus station in Ica is included. If you want you can use the pool of the hotel nearby for 20 Soles on top per day The check in was a little to fast and unpersonal.
- Jiaqing (9/5): Comfortable stay in Huacachina. - Location and cleanliness of the hotel. Staffs speaks English and they are helpful with guests enquiries.
- Papais (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rita (7/5): Good - Location Nothing
- John (7/5): Good -
- Petra (8/5): Great value for money. - They arranged taxi from Ica which was nice. It was clean and in perfect location. The breafast lady was nice as well. The equipment was a bit old - especially shower.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good - Good sized room, basic but clean and
good value. Freshly cooked eggs for breakfast. Everyone very friendly.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (8/5): Very good - The location is perfect, as it is right at the center of Huacachina. The room was decent, and the bathroom was very big. Breakfast was nice, with a view across the desert. They can help with organizing the sand boarding/dune buggy tour. The shower had very low water pressure, and getting the temperature right was pretty hard. Also, there was some mold in the room.
- Toko (6/5): This is the one if you have a rental car, but no guarantee of hot water - Private secured parking for our rental car. Clean beds. Close to centre of the town yet rather quiet. Water and electricity stopped in the morning. There was no water nor light in the room, which was a bit troublesome.
- Jose (8/5): Great value - Friendly staff, great location and amazing breakfast. Rooms are good enough for 1-2 nights. Great value for the price it has.
- E (5/5): Passable -
- Teresa (8/5): Perfect, simple property with clean rooms and great views. - Huacachina is a small place so location will be good wherever you stay. But this one was great, right by the moto drop off point, near the little market area and right by a good walk up the dunes. Simple, yet perfectly adequate room with a good view over the dunes. The breakfast was better than most Iâve had in Peru, the lady serving was lovely and a good choice of items. Nothing really, it suited my solo backpacker trip completely.
- Marc (7/5): Good -
- Alex (6/5): Average - Not bad for a night stay. Quite expensive for what it is. Staff was really great besides one of the guys in the reception who tried to over charge us for tours when we had confirmed prices before
- Ee-von (3/5): Poor - The breakfast was good with warm rolls freshly squeezed juice and freshly cooked eggs. Toilet was not really clean. My room was cold and tight for a triple. There was no room service even though we stayed for more than one night.
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant -
- Drmola (7/5): Good - Breakfast very simple. An extra bread costs 1 sol. its funny.
- Kamila (5/5): Passable - You can leave your luggage. An organized pick-up from the bus station which was very convenient. The reception desk speaks English-quite rare in Peru :)
Really really good breakfast with the view over the dune. Windows from our room were looking at the hotel restaurant next door. Not pleasant for both parties. Also, the worst thing about our room was the fact that we sort of shared the bathroom with other people. The walls are pretty much non-existent. You can hear everything as if someone was standing in your room. For sixty dollars per night you would've expected more. Very noisy room we didn't get much sleep.
- Sharon (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good, it is a basic hotel. Has everything you need for a one night stay N/A
- Vinicios (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (7/5): Good - Nothing fancy, but everything was alright in the hotel and in our room. It was clean and comfortable, the shower worked well, and we even had a nice view to the sand dunes next to the hotel.
- Fitzmaurice (8/5): Hosts very nice, good value for money - Nice big comfy bed, spacious room and bathroom, bath, good breakfast with fresh juice and nice view, ping pong table Could use a bath mat
- Charis (8/5): Great place. No pool, but for 20 soles we could use the one in the adjoining hotel. At 212 soles for three person room, - The staff were really friendly, especially the breakfast team. Good location, away from the bars. For 20 soles, you can use the pool in the adjacent hotel.
- Sunu (9/5): Good - Location, bed, breakfast are good
- Joanne (8/5): Great terrace for breakfast - Comfy, clean and basic. Great terrace to have breakfast. They made fresh fruit juice and eggs to order. Access to the dunes right outside the door. Quiet place away from the party hostels and perfect for one night in Huacachina.
- Alexandra (4/5): We were a bit disappointed and would rather pay a bit more but the service is nice - The location is directly in the oasis and they also arrange a cab from the bus terminal, which is super nice. It was a bit disappointing compared to the pictures. I guess in the price is for the great location in the oasis included but I would rather pay 10 dollars more next time.
- Anik (5/5): Ok - The price Photos on booking not representative
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Helpful, friendly staff. Picked us up from the bus station and we were able to book tours at a good price. WiFi worked ok and was hot water
- Philipp (8/5): Good stay - Very good option to stay in Huacachina. What an amazing breakfast we had with them! Very comfortable beds. Since on our last day we had to leave early, we asked for the breakfast in the box or at least two bananas as we won't have an option to enjoy the breakfast in the morning. The woman said that since the tour was not taken with them we can't have a breakfast in the box or attend breakfast earlier. She acted unprofessional and was quite rude and arrogant. Same with the young man who we talked to previously. At the same time other, more senior (older) employees were very kind and attentive, thanks a lot to them for their hospitality!
- Alexis (8/5): Very good - The room was clean and staff friendly. Perfect location in Huacachina. I could smell sewage in the room. The shower was also not very hot and the water pressure too low.
- Christopher (1/5): Bad - Location Dirty fan, no shampoo, not enough hot water, no one at the reception after checking in
- Esther (8/5): Very good - Spacious and clean room, hot shower, good wifi.
- Esther (7/5): Nice staff awful shower - Friendly staff, great location, quiet Shower was awful, kept cutting out and then brown water came through
- Katherine (7/5): Friendly staff and good breakfast! - The staff are friendly and the bed was comfortable. Great breakfast on the rooftop. Little to no shower pressure, there is no pool and no laundry service.
- Chi (5/5): Passable - Room is clean, staff is nice, good location ... price is good lack of room supply ... no soap, no shampoo , hot water not enough for 2 people take shower ... bad sound insulation ...
- Katarzyna (5/5): Not too comfortable stay - Nicely served breakfast on the roof with beautiful view. The breakast was small, scrambled eggs made of only one egg.
The room was dark and basic, a window from a neighbouring pool was directly over my bed. The bathroom was very crampy and dark, no furniture. The shower drain was somewhat jammed.
No towels included in the room, you need to pay additional money to get a towel.
There are very surprising and strict rules in the room. If you are a woman on a period, the room is not for you. You will be charged a fine if you accidentally stain the sheet.
- Deidre-ann (10/5): Great place to stay in Huacachina! - Location is great. Right by the lake. Close to the entrance of the dunes. We were able to book tours through them which was very convenient. They were also very facilitatory and very patient in answering all questions via WhatsApp.
- Sally (7/5): Good - Large bedroom and bathroom. Good location with sand dune view. Good breakfast on rooftop terrace. Able to book tours at hotel.
- Sabrina (8/5): Great location & friendly staff. They offer a free pickup from the bus station in Ica - Great location & friendly staff. The pickup from the bus station in Ica was included and worked well. We called the hotel 2 hours in advance to schedule our pickup.
amazing breakfast on the terrace. We had to leave 20min before the breakfast usually starts. However the lady preparing the breakfast was super friendly and told us that sheâll prepare everything and we can have breakfast in 5min. delicious bread with jam, meat, avocado, coffee, eggs etc. older facilities/ old bathroom and room in general.
- Sylvie (7/5): Very basic but excellent breakfast and comfortable bed - Comfortable bed
Very good and generous breakfast. They even got up at 6am to make it for me as I had an early start No hot water
No wc paper ( was too tired to go and ask for some)
Street light shining straight into the bedroom all night
Was very noisy with people, cars and bikes til about midnight
- Sage (1/5): Awful. Do not stay here. The other hostel I ended up staying in was much nicer and has 24/7 service. - That the room price was in soles. When we checked in at 3pm, for our 2pm check-in time, the room had not been cleaned. There was a dirty bar of soap in the shower, no toilet paper and no bath mat. There was no signage concerning the late night door bell, so I was locked out. The doors are locked by key so my family member wasn't able to let me inside- this poses a significant safety concern.
- Esquire78 (9/5): Great lodging in Huacachina!! - Great friendly staff! Jorge sorted out any problems I had. Nice big bathroom, breakfast was lovely. Excursions very reasonably priced. Option to buy cold drinks at reception was great. Bed was comfy. Pick up and drop off to bus station was great. I would recommend this place and I would definitely stay again. Thanks guys!! Nothing. Would probably like a fridge in the room but you can get cold drinks downstairs so not a problem.
- JesĂșs (9/5): Superb -
- VrĂĄtil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna-lena (10/5): Would stay here again - - very good breakfast on the rooftop terrace with fresh smoothie, eggs, avocado, coffee, tee, bread, butter and marmalade
- free shuttle service from/to bus station in Ica
- spacious room with comfortable large beds
- hot shower
- different tours are offered directly at the hotel at a very good price
- very good WiFi
- Brad (4/5): Quiet but needs improvement on service. - The location is in a quiet part of town. No party noise but close to oasis and activities. Breakfast is cooked to order and nice with some variety. TV is good also with netflix and YouTube. Some staff are nice some are not so. The room is not so much like the pictures and they have no daily cleaning services or fresh towels. Hot water sometimes works sometimes no. Maybe typical of location however.
- Keiichiro (8/5): Very good - Location, tour recommendations I couldnât get hot water
- Raquel (10/5): Exceptional - Super central and very nice breakfast. You can book tour with them, we booked Paracas with Islas Ballestas plus 4x4 on the sand dunes and both tours were very nice. They might allow you to use the pool of next doors hotel which we did and was super nice!
- Nassim (7/5): Good - Quiet
Nice breakfast terrace
