- Kirsten (8/5): - None
- Mayank (10/5): - Best place to stay near Glacier National Park.
Amazing rooms, amazing breakfast, best hosts.
They are simply amazing and make your stay most memorable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good - Cute place with friendly host. Super knowledgeable. Homemade breakfast in the AM for free, and then you can fill out a form for $12 hiking lunch. Definitely would come back
- Amy (10/5): Mountain Slice of Heaven - Host and hostess were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their breakfast was delicious!!
- woody (10/5): - good property to stay and enjoy the nature staff is excellent and property is exactly what you see in pictures!!! looking forward to come back soon
- Laura (10/5): - A little hard to find but the owners could not have been nicer or more helpful. They are very knowledgeable about Glacier with lots of hiking suggestions. Breakfast was huge and very good
- Kimberly (10/5): Peaceful - We very much enjoyed our time there. The small cabin was clean and worked well for 4 teenage boys up in the loft and 1 adult on the futon.
- Scott (8/5): - The owners were very friendly and helpful. The property was nice. It’s pretty secluded and you do go down quite a bit of gravel roads to get there. Over all it seemed a little pricey for what it was but it was our first b&b so really don’t know.
- Bill (10/5): - Scott and Nancy provided recommendations to our schedule that enhanced our experience.
- Timothy (10/5): - This was the best place we stayed on our trip out west! The owners were super knowledgeable about the area and Glacier National Park. They served amazing hot breakfast both mornings and even allowed us to walk and explore their property near the river.
- Rodney (10/5): - A fantastic, cozy property with an outstanding full breakfast!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Family Adventure - The lodge is very clean, comfortable and cozy. We had 2 wonderful breakfasts during our stay. Scott and Nancy are friendly and informative about the trails in the Glacier National Park.
- Ann-Marie (10/5): Perfect home base for Glacier NP adventures - My sons & I had an incredible stay in the cabin! My boys loved the cabin bedroom with the slanted ceiling. The games provided were a hit. Beautiful wooded view.
- Suzanne (10/5): - This is a lovely family-run property, located in a quiet area about 10 miles from Columbia Falls. They provided us with maps and bear spray and all sorts of information about the area, and wonderful, home-cooked breakfasts each day. I would really describe this as a bit more of a 'bed and breakfast' than a hotel.
- Susan (8/5): - Nancy and Scott who run the place are very welcoming and so helpful with anything needed. A great resource. They provide a great breakfast each morning. It is located in the beautiful mountains about 15 minutes to the West Entrance. It was clean, and had an outdoorsy cabin feel.
- Gary (10/5): - Serenity of property. Rising in morning to outstanding home cooked meal by Scott and Nancy. Local knowledge of Glacier Park provided us guidance which allowed us to enjoy our visit to Glacier.
- Sarah (8/5): - Nancy and her husband were very hospitable and provided a delicious breakfast each morning! Every day we came home to a clean room, small chocolates in our room and they were there for anything we needed (advice, maps, bear spray, etc!). We would absolutely go back and we are thankful for their hospitality!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Conservative talk radio as you walk the grounds - Quite surprised with the reviews saying the owners friendly. We did not find them that way. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re offended by conservative talk radio being broadcast from a garden shed as you walk the grounds. If that doesn’t put you off just aware of what you are booking. The photos and price led us to believe we were booking a cabin with kitchen, as did the photos (of a cabin!) that accompanied the reservation email. It turned out to be a bedroom in the owner’s house. The owner at first blamed hotels.com for the mixup but later changed his story, saying he had emailed us the change - an email we never received.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay at Smoky Bear, will come back again. - Fantastic stay at the Smoky Bear Ranch. Cozy setup, great living room with a real fireplace that warms up the whole room. Bed and bathroom are clean and the owners do a bed turn and clean up the bathroom during the day. Excellent service and took care of us.
The highlight is the breakfast each morning with juice and coffee, freshly baked/cooked eggs, pastry and fruits. Better than home cooking.
Another is they have bear-spray you can borrow. Chance of a bear encounter is low, but this is a need-to-have if you are going on trails.
The only snag is the GPS that took us to wrong house/cabin. But the owner was 100% nice and told us that it's the next cabin down the road. Not sure if this will happen to you. Just fyi, Smoky Bear is on the left hand side. If your GPS takes to a cabin on the right, it's the wrong house/cabin.
- Peggy (10/5): - Excellent experience, would highly recommend staying here!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet spot in the woods - This place is in a quiet spot about 20 minutes from GNP. Our hosts provided a fabulous breakfast, bear spray for our hikes, advice on the park and a comfortable, clean room.
- Christine (10/5): Wonderful Cabins - Fantastic place. Secluded property near Glacier West Entry. The cabins are fully equipped and beautifully design. We loved it!
- Venus (8/5): Beautiful stay - My wife and I stayed with our two teenage daughters. The room was very large, with plenty of room for us all. The B&B was beautiful, as was the property it sat on. The breakfasts were great.
The woman who ran it was nice enough but a little aggressive. Also, it was hard to know how welcome we were as a lesbian couple, in Montana.
- Donald (10/5): Great stay! - Owners are husband/wife combo who excel at making guests comfortable and enjoy their stay. They provide a great breakfast and if you choose to take a picnic lunch at a $12 price you will be glad you did. Friendly place; glad we stayed there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We especially liked Scott and Nancy. They are so hospital, friendly and helpful. Even before we arrived they sent several helpful emails with important information. When we arrived the room was very nice. Nancy and Scott are both very talented and it was a pleasure to see their talents on display, especially the quits and woodworks. It was very quiet and peaceful; just a joy to be there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Loved the owners, the fantastic breakfast that was included, and the hummingbird feeder.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Smoky Bear Ranch is the perfect home base for a Glacier trip. Mr & Mrs Collard have added many thoughtful, personal touches to your stay that make it really hard to leave! The bedding is cozy, the water pressure is powerful, and the hearty breakfasts are different every morning. Do yourself a favor and order a paper bag lunch for your hike or drive through Glacier! The location is perfect - 20 minutes to the airport, 15 minutes to the park, and a quiet respite from the hubub of West Glacier. We didn't get to hike the trails on their property during our short stay, but we did enjoy all of the different birds and afternoons on the front porch. As many others mentioned, our hosts provided bear spray, maps, and lots of insight to the surrounding area. 10/10, will stay again :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Scott and Nancy were wonderful and the breakfast was amazing! They were very helpful in helping find things to do. The room we had was nice and we slept so good!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hospitality of the owners, the Collards, made the trip! The delicious home cooked breakfast every morning was the best meal of the day. Their willingness to share the “locals” knowledge of Glacier made our trip so much more enjoyable. It was more like staying at a warm, welcoming relative than a cold, sterile hotel. Highly recommend!!
- Miguel (10/5): The Galvez Trip - The place was great, very clean in a beautiful and peaceful area very close to the west entrance of the park. The owners are very nice, and the breakfast provided was wonderful!.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location, proprietors
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay
Scott and Nancy are wonderful hosts
Very clean and nice accommodations
Breakfast are great
- Rossana (10/5): - Lovely breakfast and location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely the nicest place to stay. They made breakfast for us every morning and even offered lunch sacks as well. Nancy and Scott we’re the biggest help,
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the setting in the woods--loved the hummingbirds at the feeder, the deer and wild turkey walking through the yard. Didn't have any issues or things we didn't like.
- Jill (2/5): - Location was pretty. Really intended for hikers. No amenities. Stayed 1 night of 4 reserved. Paid for all 4. Bedroom w/double bed + 2 twin beds were upstairs. Up a built in ladder. Bath room downstairs. Up & down those type of stairs should have been more thoroughly explained. There was a futon on 1st floor but not comfortable. Beds weren't comfortable. Everything was neat & clean. No TV, no games in office. Wifi worked.
- Roger (10/5): Quiet and Off the Grid ! - Great place to stay on out in the woods away from the crowded west village area. Hosts were awesome, had a campfire going some nights when we returned. Breakfasts were great, hosts knew park inside-out and could coach you on your plans, routes and times into the park.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the loft. Everything very clean. Refrigerator was too cold and froze everything. Wonderful stay.
- Quazi (10/5): - Scott and Nancy were very nice people and treated me so well in their beautiful small house in the woods. The breakfast was super awesome and I just loved the setting. GNP was only 15 mins away from the location and I had a good time there.
- Christine (2/5): Small & over priced - The room we had in the lodge was extremely small, barely wider than the bed. Limited room to walk around at foot of bed and half of that was lost to stairs going to room above. We could hear every movement from adjacent rooms and had limited privacy. For almost $200 per night, we felt ripped off. Hosts were charming people.
- Ronald (10/5): Peaceful B&B very close to Glacier NP. - Very peaceful and quiet place in the woods with white tailed deer, very comfortable sleeping, superb breakfasts, rain forest like hiking trail to the river, great front patio to relax on in the evening with privacy and beauty. Loved this place!
- SYLVIE (10/5): - Great location,15 min drive from Glacier National Park. Wonderful place, owners are so nice and helpful. Breakfast prepared by Nancy is amazing! Beautiful, peaceful place.
Would definitely stay there again.
- Timothy (10/5): Fantastic stay! - Our stay was fantastic! Scott and Nancy know everything that you will need to know about the area. They can tell you where to go for the best views and hikes, and the best way to get there. And the breakfasts were amazing! The room was comfortable and private, and they provided topographic maps, hiking guides, and bear spray.
- Scott (10/5): great hosts - Owners are great hosts, very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent and owner took time to show us the property, which was on the North Fork of the Flatlake. Could not be more accommodating.
- Jane (8/5): Location - Great location, only 15 minutes to West Glacier. Traditional B &B, so no TV or internet offered.
- Shelia (10/5): Hidden Treasure - Beautiful place, gracious, friendly hosts and a very sweet Newfie. Very clean, great food and a very comfortable room.
- bob (10/5): Glacier National Park-Smoky Bear B&N - The hosts were enjoyable to talk too. They offered tourists suggestions for the National Park
- Roger (8/5): Great, middle of nowhere. Ideal away from it all - Yet close enough to the national park to be convenient.Hosts are great value and extremely helpful and informative.
