• Cimpoae (8/5): Cute cosy backpackers hotel - Location wise is great. Close to Kanazawa Castle and Garden. Easy access with a bus from the station. You can drop off your luggage since check in is on the later side 4pm. I booked one of the single rooms and i believe i was upgraded to the double bed room. Which was great. I was on the 2nd floor. Room was spacious. Heating was working great so i was all toasty the entire time. The room even had adjustable lighting. And it was super quiet. Amenitiea were ok. I personally found it strange that the "bathroom" was in the middle of the floor. With 3 cubicles for toilets and 3 for showers and the sinks were kinda like in the hallway. That being said there was not much of foot traffic when i stayed so it did feel private You have to pay for the towel 100yen. You have a fully functional kitchen (which was fairly used from what i could see - meaning sometimes the smell would travel up the stairs. And free tea and some instant coffee. Overall for 1-2 night it's a great option. Can't say for the mixed bunk beds rooms but they also seemed fairly airy. Not a negative for the hotel but there is no 24h reception, so if you arrive early on the first day you can't leave your bags earlier than 9am. Like mentioned the smell when people are cooking in the kitchen. It did travel to the 2nd floor. Luckily there is a 2nd door to the room so that kept it at bay.

Le personnel est très accueillant, souriant et toujours agréable. La cuisine de l’hostel est excellente et très pratique, avec du café et du thé disponibles en permanence, ce qui est vraiment appréciable. Notre cabine avec lit double était agréable, fidèle à l’expérience que nous avons déjà eue dans d’autres K’s House, que nous aimons beaucoup. En revanche, malgré la présence d’un chauffage dans la chambre, celui-ci n’a malheureusement pas suffi face aux températures hivernales, et nous avons eu un peu froid. De même, dans les espaces communs, nous avons souvent gardé nos polaires et manteaux, alors que nous y passions beaucoup de temps pour travailler sur nos ordinateurs. Cela était un peu inconfortable, même si nous comprenons que cela puisse être lié à une volonté d’économie d’électricité. Malgré cela, nous restons très attachés à K’s House Hostel, que nous apprécions beaucoup, en particulier celui situé près du mont Fuji, qui reste l’un de nos favoris. Rien de très important
