- Joseph (6/5): Disappointed as I The Palms is a lovely place - We were met in reception, and the agent took us to the room, and he assisted us with our luggage. Once in the room he went through how the electricity and water meters worked and how much would be charged. There was one (only one) key for 3 people, we did ask for another key and it took them 4 days to organise it for us. We arrived Wednesday night and Thursday morning I advise our booking contact that 5 lights were not working and the balcony door and door jamb required maintenance, after mentioning these issues numerous times, no one came out to look at these, and we were there for 11 nights. I was advised that if I wanted these things fixed to go straight to the owner.

Mi puntuación no se basa en el estado del apartamento sino en las inusuales condiciones de su gestión. El alojamiento cobra tarifas adicionales por la limpieza, por ocupar la habitación antes de las 3 p.m. y por el consumo de electricidad y agua. Los precios de la electricidad y el agua son arbitrarios y, como indican los comentarios de otros huéspedes, en muchos casos intentan cobrar una cantidad desproporcionada. Además, se requiere un depósito de THB 10.148,95 a la llegada, lo que equivale a aproximadamente €272. Esta suma, al ser en efectivo, implica la necesidad de realizar dos cambios de moneda si se tiene previsto dejar el país en pocos días. Aunque estas condiciones están detalladas en la página de Booking, es fácil que pasen desapercibidas. En mi opinión, con estas condiciones y basándome en los testimonios de otros huéspedes, este alojamiento no debería formar parte de la plataforma de Booking.

- Adrian (9/5): Great location and price, I would definately stay here again! - We have been to Kamala many times, mostly has a nice small town vibe but is still quite large with plenty of food options, and is only a 20min drive to patong. This accom checked a lot of boxes: - Excellent value - Modern style 2 bed & 2 bath app was approx AUD$110 per night + $8.50 power & water - Close to beach & main tourist street but set back a little bit to be quiet enough - Pool was good enough had shade and sun lounges. - Restaurant on site served Thai and foreign options - Pizza was very good, thin base and woodfired oven - Easy walk to supermarkets & local food places - Short scooter or drive to more out of way food plaes in the village. Sadly Kamala feels like it is very slowly becoming more like Patong, with a few more bars and nightlife, and now it has a Maccas :( would be a plus for some, but I can do without Rotten Ron's! For the accom, nothing major: - Shower handles leaked a bit - Would have liked ceiling fans - No broom

- umesh (10/5): Great family apartment - We stayed in one of the 2 bed family apartments and were really happy with it. Generous space, nice layout, clean, direct access to the pool. Also great location, close to the beach and shops. Negative is it was a bit tired but the price reflected that and the front was awkward for taxi drop. Altogether however really enjoyed our stay here.

- Caroline (8/5): - This property was clean and very spacious. Loved the penthouse family suite with rooftop deck. The suite was dated but good enough for the price. The housekeepers were lovely and kept the rooms clean everyday. The front reception could do better. They did not seem very welcoming or warm. Only 1 key & card was provided for the whole 3 bedroom suite which was inconvenient for multiple people staying. If one person was left behind and the key was being used, all electricity and a/c would turn off. They did not have any additional keys or cards.

- HATSUMI (8/5): 暮らすように滞在できる - 去年に続き5歳と12歳の子供を連れて利用。ホテルと言うより、サービス付きアパートメントやコンドミニアムと言った方が合っているかも。完璧なキッチンが備わっているので、普段通り暮らすように滞在する事ができました。去年と違う部屋を利用して感じたのが、部屋によっては、設備の古さを感じます。テレビの映りに線が入ったり、温水器の性能が弱かったり。順次、リニューアルしていくことを期待します。 滞在は快適です。スタッフも挨拶と笑顔が素敵です。前回利用しなかった、一階のレストランですが、今回はランチで利用してみました。値段はやや高めです。宿泊者割とかあったら嬉しいな、と思います。ハッピーアワーのモヒートがオススメです。また来年も行きます。

I was confused at first why the at lobby they did not mention it, i thought the guy wanted to scam me, because the guy was part of another company managing the appartement, and they are different from the company in the lobby

Was close to 7 eleven, a super market and the beach. Kamala is a lovely spot, nice and flat, easy to walk around. We booked room 305 and had to pay extra for electricity and water at the end of our stay. We knew this before we booked, however when the man came to finalise what we owed, he was working it out wrong and wasn't using the correct formula. He tried to charge us $300 Australian for 11 nights for water and electricity. We knew there was no way we used that much, After a lengthy discussion and my husband telling him that he was working it out wrong and him making phone calls to John we only had to pay $30. If you book this room just make sure they don't try and over charge you, the formula that they need to use is next the meter.After reading other reviews, it seems that others have been caught out.

We didn’t use any cooking facilities but everything there if you wanted to self cater. Great location in the centre of town but tucked away so nice and quiet.zbeach with markets are less than 5 minute walk away, perfect .Staff are really friendly and helpful they emailed me on booking to ask what time I would arrive and ordered me a shuttle taxi from the airport.

- Ronak (10/5): - We liked staying at the Palmer. The rooms were clean and quiet. There is a 7/11 and pharmacy few minutes left of the hotel. The massage places opposite were reasonable. Going right there was a laundry place 50 baht for 1 kg. 5 mins going right from hotel, there were 2 nice restaurants. Curry highway and Thai restaurant next to it, both had vegetarian options. The hotel shuttle was really good. 11am, 1,3,5 pm they pick up and drop off in front of kata beach or edge of karon beach. From Karon there is Bangkok bank if you want internal cash withdrawal. For breakfast some days there were limited vegetarian options but you can ask chef to make something.
- Luke (8/5): 5 night stay - We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the first floor which faced out towards the pool. Big pool which was well maintained! The cleaning staff were great and attended daily. Communication was slightly difficult with desk staff when asking about arranging boats to elsewhere.. but that’s no big deal. Unfortunately my partner and I got food poisoning whilst here from the restaurant at the front of the hotel… so two days were wiped out. Not sure if they are together or seperate though, so overall it was a good stay aside from being sick.

- Rangie (10/5): Rooftop View - The room we booked at The Palms Kamala beach was way more than what we expected. With three perfectly sized rooms, a dining room, large living room and the icing on the cake was the private rooftop patio with hot tub. Beautiful views and complete privacy. Our only issues was the our rooms weren’t thoroughly cleaned during our stay. Bathrooms not thoroughly cleaned and towels were never changed. With that said, we were still 100% satisfied with our stay. It’s not 5 star hospitality, but we we’re still pleasantly comfortable.

Our room had a moist/closed off smell, which was not so pleasant, but we’re not sure if it was only our room. The personnel handed us an odor remover spray, but the smell didn’t go away. The hotel has a good location - only a short stroll from Kamela beach, which is a nice beach where you can easily rent sun beds and eat at one of the many restaurants on the beach. The sea was a bit rough as it was quite windy while we stayed there. There were beach guards on duty. Few mosquitos compared to other places we visited in Phuket.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden gem in the center of Kamala - Great, central location. We stayed in the penthouse which had 3 separate bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and one living room. Besides that we also had a private rooftop with a outdoor Spa/tub. Perfekt sea vias well. No breakfast included but there's a lot of restaurants near by. The pool is long and suitable for swimming.

- Kevin (8/5): Bra familjehotell! - Vi bodde i ett familjerum och trivdes utmärkt. Två stora bra sovrum och var sin toalett. Stort vardagsrum med kök, balkong ut mot poolen. Poolen var ganska ostädad, vattennivån var för låg så det gick inte ner i reningsverket. För få solstolar. Hotellet ligger väldigt bra med nära till stranden, mitt bland mycket restauranger men ändå lite längre in så att man störs inte av någon trafik alls.
- Melissa (8/5): - Overall, we were happy with this hotel. Things to know: only a minute's walk from the beach, but no view of anything beautiful from the room. While rooms pictured have a washing machine, there is not one in every room (we arrived expecting to be able to do laundry as we'd been traveling a while, but had no machine). There is no microwave, and the oven didn't work, so that limited our plans to cook/eat more in the apartment. When all was said and done, we were glad we stayed here because of the location, and the staff were friendly and helpful as they could be.
- D M (2/5): 2 Star Hotel, 1 Star Service - A truly awful experience, this place should not be on Hotels.com. The room given to us was a disaster, broken counter tops, no chair or sofa, not properly cleaned, no safe in the room and the hotel is not on the beach, it's a block or two away. I would never have booked this room if I knew the truth. They admitted that the safes were removed from all the rooms about 1 year ago and put into a room near the reception desk. All but 2 of the safes are too small to hold a laptop computer. I asked for the actual room that I paid for and the front desk person (named Wave) lied and said the hotel was full and there were no other rooms available. But the hotel was about 80% vacant. After 3 trips to the front desk and arguing with Wave for almost 1 hour she called the manager and upgraded me to a 1BR, 2 bath suite for an extra 300 baht per night. These are dishonest and disreputable people running the hotel and it needs to be removed from the Hotels.com web site.

- Stephen (6/5): Clean but not what I expected. - I live in Bangkok. I was in Kamala for a short break. The hotel faces on to the main road which there are no photos of ( conveniently ) It’s super nice in the middle with the pool. Room was super clean. Staff were friendly. But there isn’t much to do in the area.

- Amanda (8/5): - Nice and quiet hotel. Our reservation got a little messed up but the manager at the hotel upgraded our room for a small fee and we were so happy we upgraded. The room was so spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Bathrooms were also really nice and we had a functional kitchen. Also, the breakfast was great and the other food at the hotel was pretty good as well. We could tell that the room was a little dated but that didn't really bother us especially since we had so much privacy and space.

- Chris (8/5): Great hotel, perfect location. - I stayed for a week at The Palms in Kamala. I found the location perfect - on the main street of the resort within walking distance of anywhere you might want to go in the resort, for example - the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, and the Aussie Sports bar if you want to watch sports.
- Jimmy (8/5): Kamala - Centralt hotell i lugna Kamala. Trevlig personal, bra poolområde och nära till stranden. Frukosten kan med fördel väljas bort, det finns massvis med ställen runt om.
- Malin (10/5): Bra läge! - Mysigt hotell som ligger perfekt på ”strandvägen/turist”-vägen. Max 5 min gång till restauranger och den fantastiska stranden. Fräscha rum och ett mysigt men dock något trångt poolområde. Lite sämre wi-fi på sina håll på hotellet och städningen var lite sådär (håll koll på antalet handdukar varje dag, städerskan glömde lägga ditt nya ett par dagar. Kan rendera i att du får betala i slutet av vistelsen annars). Men överlag grymt hotell. Hut kommer vi fler gånger.

- rachid (6/5): hotel correct - Hôtel bien situe , près de la mer et de toutes les commodités,endroit paisible et familiale. Par contre le petit déjeuner était médiocre pas de choix et pas très bon . Nous avons appréciez la petite salle de sport bien que le matériel était vieillot.Le personnel etait froid mais serviable.
- David (10/5): palms Kamala - Hotel is lovely staff were great the only negative point is the usual tourists putting towels down on loungers and on 2 occasions did not use the loungers all day.
