Cpt Garth (10/5): Superb super clean, and the views of the ocean are grand and special.......THe Best in Maine.... - Right it was the Wrong Season for breakfast. I have been staying at that location for over 20 years. I am amazed at how the ceilings and walls are PURRRFECT > Superb work, and painting...I KNOW...it was GREAT. Maybe the $ could be lowered since breakfast was not offered. I am working with the OHTM, and locating a Giant B17 Model in October 2016 to beat the summer rush. I would like to get a special rate for myself, then also to the Smith Family/Brian and Bruce. Thanks Cpt GD WIGGLESWPORTH It was all PurrrrFect.... Thanks..Ask Allen, he knows I love it there!!!

Holmes (9/5): - The private balcony is great with a pretty view of the bay. Rooms are clean and nice. Actual glass instead of plastic cups was appreciated. There is no breakfast at all. Getting ice requires you to get a staff member to open a locked door 50 yards away, so some inconvenience.

Laura (10/5): Just beautiful. Very relaxing - I love how inviting the staff always are when we travel to the Ledge. The breakfast room is always so clean and warm feeling. Every room we have stayed in have been big enough for what we need. rooms are always so on point. This last time I stayed I have to say when I walked into the bathroom the min I got there there was a dirty bath mat towel left on the back of the sink. Wasn't a huge deal to me but I know some people would have lost there minds on something like that. So maybe just a heads up to the cleaners to double check the rooms before leaving them to make sure dirty linens are taken from the room. I also hate that the mornings seem to always fly right by so we have to check out to soon. Some times I wish that stays could be longer. I know do to having to clean the rooms and everything that they need to be empty by the time they are but it would be nice if you could pay for a 24 hour time slot at a time instead of having it be from 3pm to 10am. but anyways love this place and cant wait to come back again.

Kristina (10/5): A breathtaking view and a comfortable stay. - The view was amazing and the room was clean and nicely decorated. It was good to have a coffee maker there and water in the fridge for it. The bed was comfortable and cozy. The man who checked me in was really friendly and helpful. The only thing that I didn't like were the chairs in the room. They were small and hard and not that comfortable to sit on if I was looking at my computer on the table. This is just my personal preference though.

I suspect because it was a Monday the breakfast was more basic. But everything offered was very nice. I liked the Keurig in the room. There were views from everywhere. The pool looked nice though we didn't use it because of the weather and time. We enjoyed our stay very much

Julie (8/5): Spend the bit of extra $ for waterview room! - My room was very modern, absolutely spotless and probably very recently renovated. The included continental breakfast more than met my needs. View from breakfast room was exceptional! I would return but would be sure to reserve a water-view room (it was available but I was too cheap to get it). It would solve the minor concern I had with my neighbor during my stay. There was an overwhelming, very pungent “cooking smell” in the lobby area. It was present when I checked in, went for breakfast and checked out. It gives the wrong first impression of the otherwise very tidy facilities. Also, this is a traditional “motel” so your car is near the door to your room, window near the door. I had a “garden view” (road/parking lot view, really) room. My next door neighbor spent a great deal of time, day and night, sitting in his car smoking with the windows open. This kept me from opening my blinds, much less the window, because he creeped me out. He was in that car, sitting there in a cloud of smoke, whenever I left/returned to my room. Not the hotels fault, but possibly a consideration for other solo female travelers.

Davis (6/5): Cold room, beautiful view - There is a beautiful view of the bay. Breakfast isn’t served in the winter months. The beds were very hard and it took a long time for the room to warm up with increasing the thermostat setting. Getting into it at night is tricky with how the driveway is (a steep drop off the highway.
Laura (10/5): - Its always pleasant staying here. I stay in motels allot do to work and stuff so the ledge is one of the places we stay the most when we have to go to a motel. Just every we need for our stay. That we always have to leave so early so we don't always get to enjoy the room. But that's my fault for having to work the next day always.

Carol (1/5): Unless they get new front counter people, don't go there! - My partner reserved/bought a room for 2 nights for me. When I got there and attempted to check in, the 2 men there told me I couldn't check in without the person who paid for the room, even though I was labeled as the guest on the paperwork. These men were horrible and rude. We had the representative of booking.com call them and talk to them and when he got back on the line to talk to us, his suggestion was to let this booking go and go somewhere else because the hotel rep. was horrible to talk to and unable to communicate with booking.com. The front desk representatives.

I couldn't find an acceptable resolution to this in terms of a full or partial refund--Booking.com told me to talk to the property manager, the property manager told me to talk to Booking.com.

La piscine est agréable mais pas immense. Cest un motel si vous ne prenez pas l'option avec vue, donc pas de fenetre qui s'ouvre, juste vu sur le parking. ce qui est un peu cher vu le prix payé. Attention aux voitures basses pour rentrer dans le parking, il y a un renfoncement qui peut abimer la voiture.

stacy (8/5): Beautiful location with stunning views. - The location is beautiful. You can see the sunrise over the bay every morning. The walkway to the waterfront needs to be rebuilt. The pool was closed for the season earlier than what was advertised, and it was still in the 80’s.

Faith (6/5): Ok for an overnight stay - The room we had was a basic room/stay. It has been recently updated. You can park right outside your door. There are rooms with views of the bay and the breakfast area also has a nice view of the bay. Breakfast is included, but it's very basic. It worked for the one night we were passing through. Unfortunately, the older gentleman checking us and a few other couples in, was not welcoming or helpful. He said to the person in front of us "What I really hate, is when guests ask me questions." and it was not said in a humorous manner. The location is in between two other towns each about 5 miles away. Restaurants close early, so plan accordingly. There is a wood fired pizza place down the road which was excellent.

Bill (6/5): - I was very underwhelmed with the property. The view of the bay was amazing but after that not good. We paid extra for a room with a kitchen that was below the storage room so the first morning at roughly at 5 a.m. they started working in it and it sounded like a marching band practicing. Then the next two nights the people above us you could literally hear them going to the bathroom very clearly. The breakfast was joke, it appeared low end muffins and low end cinnamon swirls. Staff at breakfast came out grabbed her breakfast and left and didn’t clean anything. Nothing was restocked and things really felt like leftovers. Will visit the area again but not stay there. Really feel like they are trying to milk this property and then sell it.
