- PAULA (8/5): - You can tell there is a lot of love that went into this Reno's of this motel! Staff was very welcoming and pleasant. There are a lot of workers using the motel to come and go and the thing that really aggravated me was the door "banging" every night and morning! I have been in hundreds of hôtel and never heard this kind of door "slamming" it's like they used all their strength to slam the doors. The rooms are kept immaculate. I may suggest that they keep their working crews separate from the travelers whenever possible. Yes! I will be back next year again and wear ear plugs if they have not found a way to solve this problem (maybe signs would do the trick)!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Puppy pick up date - Check in was great, hotel staff was polite and did her job great. We got to the room and there was McDonald's in the fridge. Gross. It was not the most clean room but it was quiet. The heater was not quiet and switched off and on inconsistently. Great location.

- Toby (10/5): - My favorite thing about this place is the basement fitness center. They have a new, single room fitness center on the first floor that’s fine for a casual exercise enthusiast. It’s still probably better than most hotels (it has a decent complement of weights, medicine balls, and kettlebells), a leg extension/curl machine, a multifunction weight stack machine, a bench, and a few cardio machines. The basement gym is so much cooler if you are a bit more into working out, though. It rivals a small commercial gym. Two rooms of cardio equipment, but the weight room is the gem. A squat rack, Smith machine, leg press, benches, 1000s of pounds of free weights, dumbbells up to 110s, multi-station cable crossover machine, dip station, three distinct weight stack multi-stations with different exercises (shoulder press, chest fly, leg extension/curl, hip an/adduct…), and so much more. I was told about the new room when checking in, and was told they were doing away with the “out dated” basement set up because it wasn’t cost effective to maintain or something. I was given a separate key to access the basement gym when I asked about it, and had it all to myself with my son. When checking out, I again mentioned how awesome the basement was, and lamented that they were doing away with it. The checkout woman said they weren’t likely getting rid of the stuff, they just weren’t going to advertise it, but if you knew and asked they’d give you access. The gym was the sole reason I chose them!

- Catherine (8/5): - We loved the room it was exceptionally clean, roomy, with comfortable beds. The only reason we gave it an average for property condition is because it is being renovated and some amenities were not available during our stay. The staff was very friendly. It has a very nice restaurant on the property, with great food. The only draw back to the restaurant is it is only open for breakfast and supper. We initially booked this property because it had a pool, but then found out they had to fill it in due to structural issues. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. We definitely will come back the next time we visit the area.

I'm sure once they are done with the reno it will be awesome.

We had a room on the second floor, my husband has cancer and i just about had to carry him upstairs. there were no handrails and tools and equipment were scattered all over the floor and stairs which was a fire hazard if you ask me. I complained and it was cleaned up the next day. The owners were very accommodating as they gave us a room on the first floor; I thank them for that. Also, I know there is a lot of snow up in Caribou but trying to get in and out of the hotel was horrible. I would hate to think if there was a fire. The rooms were comfortable and I liked the fact that there was a restaurant right at the hotel. Being that my husband is sick, it was convenient for us just to be able to eat there.

- Jennifer (2/5): Pool and hot tub closed 3 years!!! - Very old rundown building with musty smell throughout. Was told the pool and hot tub facilities were closed . When I expressed my dismay I requested a room upgrade and was told it would be a charge not an accommodation. I was then told the pool and hot tube have been closed for 3 years!!!! The website photos clearly advertised the facilities in use so that I would consider false advertising. As a family that was a deciding factor and the cost of upgrade could have provided the type of accommodations expected elsewhere. $200 wasted.

- Paul E (4/5): - The hotel was not what I was expecting. They put me in a smoking room when i reserved a nonsmoking room. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The walls and celing were stained with smoke. 2 lights in the room did not work. The shower head was loose and wouod not stay upright. The floor rugs and a sticky feeling to it. There were gueats that were there for exteneded stay that partied out back all day saturday with load music and drinking.

The Gouda chicken and Aroostook chicken were to die for! We also had breakfast Sunday morning and again it did not disappoint!

- Grant L (10/5): - I made reservations about 2 hours before arriving for 3 rooms on a recent trip from Montreal down through Maine to Connecticut with my work crew. When we arrived, the power was completely out and the manager and staff were scrambling to accommodate everyone. Despite their power issues, they honored the reservation and let us stay the night for free, even upgraded us to a suite, and were super helpful and positive. Give these people your business!

There is a restaurant attached, for which you get a discount by being a guest at the hotel. Not the best food. Husband still had garlic breath 24 hours later after brushing 3 times.

We asked for a different room. Also lack of parking is a big concern, especially in the winter with snowmobile trailers and people parking their snowmobiles in front of our trailer. Not cool. Not much of a choice to go elsewhere in Caribou.

Upon arrival after checking in was informed the pool and hot tub were closed due to Covid but both restaurant and bar were open. I could hear everything in the room above me through the vent in the bathroom. There was no microwave in the room. The only vending machine with snacks was close to empty and was out of order. The main door to access the wing the room was on only opened halfway and had enough water to flow in the door and soak the carpet. When leaving it was so icy I slipped and fell.
- jason (6/5): - Clean enough, no pool nor hot tub. Walls very thin, could hear neighbors all night, no parking due to ,any snow mobile trailers parked anywhere they wanted

- Katherine (6/5): - Passing through for one night the Inn was fine. Pool and lounge closed. Dinner in the restaurant took 2.5 hours! One waitress who kicked butt! Friendly, funny and working her butt off for at least 15 tables. Food was good. Only complaint was the bed sucked! Hard as a brick. We are thinking about coming back to do some atv riding but will not stay here that long without bar and comfy bed!

- Jackie (4/5): Time for an upgrade - Toilet was dirty, sink was cracked, general condition of room is old, they need an upgrade. Shower water pressure is mediocre, difficult to rinse hair. Restaurant wasn't open Monday morning for breakfast. Staff is very pleasant.
- Jennifer (2/5): - Hostess in front was rude and mocked me when I asked to speak to manager. Laughed at me cause I was upset the pool wasn't open. Said it was my fault I didn't see it posted online. Been bringing my kids here to swim for years. Never again after being treated like this
- Charles (8/5): - The air conditioning units vent into the pool area. The pool area was closed due to COVID, however we paid for a room that overlooked the pool so we could sit outside our room and there was no way we could do this since the temperature in that area was over 100 degrees.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - I liked that the hotel is located in my hometown, so when I visit there is a great place to stay. I didn’t like that the on-site restaurant (which got good reviews) was closed due to a staffing situation. The indoor pool and hot tub were also closed because of COVID precautions. The hotel was pretty booked and most rooms were occupied. I liked that as well because a local business was holding its own while still adhering to COVID protocol.

The attached restaurant was also closed for a week long vacation. The maid staff wasn't reliable, my bed was hard & the breakfast wecwere offered was microwave sandwiches

The pool and hot was the main reason I payed more money to go there. I did like the fact of the extra doors in the hallway which would help in case of a fire. Didn't like the smell of smoke in some of the hallways. The lady that checked us in was really wonderful but the on that was on behind the desk on Sat. late afternoon had an attitude.
