Guest Reviews
- Donovan (10/5): Great location very pleasant and comfortable stay - Extremely friendly and professional staff
- Scott (1/5): - Nothing just the hostess There was ains all over the place. I felt disgusted
- Deanna (5/5): Decent for a night or 2. Clean. Quiet. Good a.c. - I stayed for one night. So I just needed a clean room with a clean bathroom, and thats exactly what I got. Water in the shower was nice and hot. The a.c. works. It was quiet. Love the extra security locks on the door. When I first walked in nobody was around to check me in. Eventually someone came out but I had already dialed the number that was on the sign on the counter. There was a sign that stated that they're under staffed so I understood, but it was just a little frustrating because I was tired and I just wanted to check in and go to the room. Also im not a fan of the wood floors but its not a big deal. No elevator but not that many steps to go up so its fine.
- Felix (1/5): -
- Michael (9/5): It was easy, quiet, and perfect for my purpose of this trip. - Great location for where i needed - very easy check in process. No bar of soap at hand sink
- Amy (10/5): Quick weekend trip to see my kids. Slept extremely well. Thanks! - Clean, comfortable room. Quiet. Front desk staff efficient and friendly Hallway smelled like cigarettes. (Note room did not smell like cigarettes.)
- Daniel (5/5): Easy in and out and the location was perfect. - The room was clean and check in was easy. The TV was missing the cable box, the outside window was unlocked and there was something all over the outside of the window.
- Anacelis (8/5): Good for decompress 😊 - The room is comfy and clean. The carpets in the commons area need to be cleaned.
- Katherine (5/5): Not for a relaxing stay, just a bed for the night. - Only one thing: coffee in lobby in morning, but it was limited! Bed, room comfortable, albeit spartan. It was a strange place; there were obviously permanent residents who lived there. A teenage boy was hanging out at the reception desk and lobby the next morning. A woman near our room had a yappy little dog and I smelled incense in the hall. For one night, it was entirely satisfactory but I thought it was in no way upscale or suitable for guests attending the event venue next door.
- Sandra (7/5): - Staff was amazingly helpful. Room was plain and simple - no frills - but clean. Mattress was old and I could feel the springs. Lighting was also very no frills. No bedside lamp (only a wall/ ceiling lamp)
- Mark (6/5): - avg Inn… ok for price, bed was comfortable
room needs updating
- Jason (10/5): - Clean room Jeremy was Great! Love that we can stay there with our dog!
- Nancy (8/5): - Convenient to I84 and Taconic State Parkway.
- Sean (6/5): - Place needs a solid cleaning. Staff was perfect. All needs were met and Svc was excellent
- lisa (2/5): - Whole place was dated. Not even an attimatic door to enter. There were stains all over the carpets even the matting on wall art had water marks on it. One bed the mattress was totally shot in our room. Common area unswept & grosss. Front desk not attended at checkout with obnoxious car racing on the tv- loud. Coffee and sugar ran out empty canisters. Dirty. Sign by coffee warned of unsafe levels of undesirable contaminates in the water above the dirty microwave. So probably a blessing coffee ran out.
We’d like a refund.
- Adam (6/5): - No staff to check me in, lots of individuals smoking outside entrances and loitering in the parking lot. There was a wedding going on, but these were not wedding guests.
- thomas (5/5): The price and location worked best for me however they need up grading - Location was the best part of the stay The beds the TV just would stay working even after it was attended to
- Clifford (8/5): - This place has no elevator.
- Lori (2/5): - I did NOT stay here as the room was filthy and reeked with an odor. In fact, the odor was throughout the building. This place needs to be bulldozed. The front desk person was not accommodating at all. She couldn't make a decision without contacting the boss.
- Gary (8/5): - They accepted pets and were close to the interstate
- Kelsey (8/5): - The room was perfect for a night stay where we were just there to sleep. The rooms weren’t the best we’ve ever stayed in but were clean and quiet. Would definitely stay again.
- Patricia (3/5): It was disappointing. - The location No elevator. No coffee in the room. No Kleenex in the room. Bait and switch it said if I called to make a reservation it would be $134 plus tax but I called and was told there were no rooms. Then I went on line and booked a room no problem for $152 plus tax. I will not be back. I’m sure this won’t hurt there feeling since they are so busy as I was told with all the construction workers that they give a discount too.
- Christina (10/5): - Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Great common areas. I would definitely stay again.
- Madelyn (2/5): - Expedia had a clinch did not book for Arbour Ridge nor will i staybhere it is filthy mold all theough ceilibs ealls bathrooms flooring.. beds have mites no tha k yiu i want a full refund
- Cheryl (7/5): Agreat stay at the center of town, accessible to major roadwat - The property is always spiffy and kept tidy Didn’t like seeing a pest control on the floor next tor
- Randy (8/5): - The staff were very helpful and the room was very spacious. The room decorations were spare, but we were just looking for safe, clean place to stay the night, so the accomodations were perfect for us.
- Aimira (1/5): Honestly, cockroaches was the worst thing ever because I was scared to sleep if there is any more of them. I love cold s - Cockroaches and I had to kill one Bed had some burnt from old days
- KIMBERLY (2/5): Not worth the price - The location was good. Safe neighborhood, close to highway and shopping. When staff were in the building they were friendly and helpful. Our first day/night, there was no staff in the building at all. They had us call a cell phone number and our key was sitting on the desk. There were traps under the bed for bugs/rodents. The comforter had what appeared to be a cigarette burn hole in it. The building overall needs updates. For a place with no pool, no breakfast and beyond minimal staffing, it’s not worth the price!
- John (10/5): Nice place - We have stayed here for each of the last few years for a local family gathering and each stay has been great. Rooms have been clean and well kept. Bathrooms have been clean with towels and the usual amenities. We always come back for a reason, nice simple no-fuss stay.
- Jacy (7/5): Good -
- Wallace (7/5): Good - Clean and very convenient Could not get coffee in the morning
- Carlos (8/5): - No hot water
- NICANOR (2/5): - At arriving nobody at the reception. In the room tv don't work, tv remote no good, the bulb lights was only one working.
At the check out time nobody at reception.
- Richard (3/5): Well, certainly not worth the fee charged for the rental, surprised to see that this service listed it - Not much The room was blasé, the bed was stiff and you could here the springs squeaking, the tv didn’t work, the remote didn’t work properly, the bathroom sink was broken in the past and had a flimsy repairer job, the shower control nobs and the tub spout were warn looking with some rust staring to show-
- Angelia (10/5): Quiet, traditional highway hotel with quiet and clean rooms and comfy beds. - What an amazing place. I had a road emergency and really didn't have any choice in where I stayed, but I feel like lucked out very much that the Arbor Inn was the closest hotel from the interstate.
It was very quiet. The place smelled amazing. Yes, some of the fixtures are a little dated, but everything worked great. The beds were super comfy, with lots of pillows. The TV worked great. I felt very safe. Everyone on staff was so friendly and understanding. There is food within walking distance, and the views from the hotel are beautiful.
While my first stay was just the luck of the draw, I will very much keep The Inn at Arbor Ridge in my lists of favorites for future trips! Nothing. Everything was wonderful!
- Linda (4/5): Just overnight. Lady at front desk was strange but nice - Convenient Could be updated
- Dmitriy (8/5): Very good - The room was clean and quiet. What more would one need after New Year's celebrations? The heating unit in the room is dated and needs cleaning. The fan is noisy, and there is no auto on/off, so you'd have to get up in the middle of the night to turn it on/off.
- Melissa (2/5): Horrible conditions - Absolute trash, we got there at 3 PM to check in and the hotel was completely empty. There was no one at the front desk, there was a note saying call A particular person (I won't give their name Jat this number, we called four times and no one answered and then she did answer and said your room key is behind the desk and advised us to go behind the front desk and grab our own room key, and then I came back in later 8 pm because we were at an event in the same parking lot and the person who was now behind the front desk was completely asleep, to the point where I was speaking loudly to see if he would wake up and he did not.
I slept on top of the covers on a towel because I did not want to get under the sheets, Paint all chipping around the door, rusted fixtures in the bathroom horribly stained carpets a phone from 1985, That did not even have a dialtone, lightbulb a missing in one of the lamps, they should pay you to stay there. Here are some examples, and for some reason, they have three sticky hooks all over the walls.
- James (10/5): Would stay again - Excellent service and lovely hotel
- Wood (7/5): Good - The bed was excellent. Got a great night's sleep. Lighting in the room was very minimal: in the main room only at beds. Only chairs were kitchen chairs at a kitchen table.
ALSO - no elevator
- Mark (2/5): - Dirtiest floors I have ever seen
- Ronald (4/5): - Staff is pleasant but the hotel has seen better days. Room was sort of clean, but paint peeling, carpet was dirty. Room smelt a little musty.
Sad to say, I woke up twice in middle of night itching, on arms and neck, discovered bed bugs.
- Joanna (7/5): Good for a one night stay. - Lots of parking, close to highway, good price, cute seating area in hallway, nice they decorated for Halloween. Rooms could use some updating, TV didn't work correctly, walls were 'thin' you could hear conversations in other rooms.
- Peter (10/5): Love it -
- Angel (10/5): Exceptional - Quite
- Victoria (10/5): - Though rooms are old and needs to be updated was clean
- Tim (8/5): - All the basics covered very well and I would stay here again.
- Junko (2/5): Very poor -
- Rocco (6/5): - The room was large, comfortable and clean.
The person at the desk was not friendly nor efficient. I was there at 1:30 and she said she couldn't check me in until 3. No one was around and the hotel did not look particularly busy. When I returned I waited and asked her what I would need when checking in. She then told me that she was not sure but my room may or may not be ready, even at 3. I didn't get a very comfortable feeling with the staff member.
- Sherry (4/5): Musty damp room - A very old building in need of serious updating. Room smelled damp and musty. Bed was lumpy and extremely soft. Bedding had small holes. One of the windows in my room was cracked. Hotel was more than 15 minutes from the nearest town. The employees were nice and helpful though. But I seriously doubt I’ll stay here again.
- Barry (2/5): - The bed was very hard it didn’t even have a box spring sat right on wood. The hotel had a smell
- Jasen (4/5): Disappointing - They gave good advice on where to eat The room was very deteriorated, it looked like there had been a water spill that was never dried out. The bedding was very old.
- Jones (8/5): Very good - Very nice and clean
- Massey (7/5): Went well. It was a place to sleep. Personnel were friendly. - It was available and a bargain Some rotten Sheetrock in the bathroom, the laminate flooring was peeling in areas. The mattress and linens were low grade
- Susan (3/5): I would not recommend this motel. - Staff was helpful. Laundry room good. The name of the facility was not visible from the road. There were no luggage carts. There was no hot water in the shower. Facilities need updating.
- Jacobs (6/5): Beautiful hotel but doesn’t serve breakfast - Nice location They didn’t serve a full breakfast
- Gail (1/5): Awful - Close to our wedding
Other than that - nothing Everything- was dirty and smelled .
Heater and refrigerator very noisy all night .
No coffee pot in room
TV was non functional.
- Dominique (2/5): - My tv was broken in my room nobody came to help me fix it the guy told me to unplug it and then do it myself
- Marc (7/5): Good - The Provisions Smoke Haus next door is fantastic
- Rosemary (3/5): Poor - Not at all what was expected based on website and booking.com ratings. Would have sought another accommodation, but booked /paid for 3 rooms for family, and other locations booked. Very dated. Rooms needed repair (ceiling stains/ broken tile). Linens old, holes in blankets, and stains on towels. Sleepless night. Not happy with booking.com.
- Cheryle (5/5): Not worth the money - It looks good. close to where we needed to be. Beds were hard and this place had some residents that had full kitchens , they were loud and cooking smelly food at 11 pm .
- kani (2/5): - The room smelled like an ashtray even though indoor smoking was banned years ago. Toilet did not flush. Tv did not work initially - I had to play around and figure it out. Worst part is it is not ADA compliant!!! I have walking issues. There was no way I could carry my bag up the stairs and walk to the end of the hall on the 2nd floor. I asked for a room on 1st floor and she said they were sold out. I asked for a room closer to stairs on 2nd floor. Got the same answer. Fortunately a man checking in right after me brought my bag upstairs. Very inconvenient for people who use canes. Never again will I stay there and will warn anyone staying in Hopewell, do not go to the Inn at Arbor Ridge!!!
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reginald Vincent (8/5): - Although the rooms need to be updated. Our stay was descent.
- Spencer (10/5): - Refrigerator screeches very loudly every 30 min for 7 min while cooling. Woke me up all night.
Mushrooms growing out of carpet gave that outdoors persona. Mold in desk drawer made an interesting pattern. Needs a carpet cleaning or replacement.
- Mahabub (1/5): Bad -
- Anthony (6/5): - Poor lighting, no work area, only one nightstand, no desk lamp, etc.
- Hope (6/5): - The rooms needs renovation! Bathroom walls, door damaged , ceiling damaged, sink,:poor lighting in bathroom. No info on how to work the TV! Hair drying missing out it holder. Verydiappointed! Won’t stay there again!
- Dale (4/5): Bad service - Wasn’t allowed to check in 1 hour early ok but after a long trip asked to use a restroom and was told they didn’t have one….really
- kenny (6/5): - Very dated. Bathroom not in good shape
- Suzanne (9/5): Superb - Quiet, clean, comfortable and affordable.
- Safiya (2/5): - This hotel was dirty. I was so happy when the morning came so I could leave.they need to work on cleansiness.
- Ajia (7/5): Not a top notch spot but def a good place to lay your head for a night! Staff was super friendly! - Staff was friendly and room was clean! Nice size room. Comfortable and clean bed! Mini Fridge and microwave. You can tell it's a bit dated. Tv didn't work, water stains on the ceiling, and slippery tub.
- Tasheka (10/5): - Very beautiful and clean, I had my wedding nxt door at mill creek caterers but I got ready at this Inn and spent the night there with my husband before going back home to Jamaica. Everything was exceptional!
- A. V. (2/5): - Black mold and mildew in the bathroom near the shower area. Peeling paint in both areas.Night Check in Staff was very attentive. Morning Check out staff refused to print out receipt.
- Ryan (2/5): - Room was outdated tv didn't work and the ceiling was leaking water, front desk didn't seem concerned when i mentioned it
- Lisamarie (2/5): - Room was filthy my car was broken in too in parking lot
- Verified traveler (2/5): No Smoking? - Says no smoking but someone clearly smoked pretty heavily in the entire building and in room 214. Burn marks on the carpet and an overwhelming smell of smoke. Pretty gross and not what expected for the price of the room
- Tamika (9/5): We had a great overnight stay -
- Angel (10/5): Nice a quiet location. - Friendly staff, No problem
- Jayne (10/5): - Enjoyed my stay.
- Stefanie (4/5): - The bathroom door had pealing paint. The carpets were filthy.
- William (8/5): Ok - No coffee facility available except breakfast time
- J779GLsandyb (2/5): Over priced and dirty - The location was good, however the room was unacceptable. The rug was covered with stains, so was the ceiling. There was no coffee in the room or down stairs. Also I notice posted that their water had high chlorine levels, so we weren’t ankles to drink it. One bed you sank half way into when you sat on it and the other was very uncomfortable to sleep on. There was a general snap of old dog in the hotel. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly.
We paid $170 for this room and should have been more like $50.
- Eungard (4/5): For the money, rate it 4 at best. - No breakfast at all Amenities were poor. Tv worked about half the time. Only gave us one wash cloth last day
- DEOLINDA (4/5): - Bathrooms subpar (old). No conditioner, bathtub faucet appeared to fall off. Only coffee available in morning.
- David (10/5): - Great atmosphere, comfortable beds, friendly check-in.
- Andrew Peter (8/5): - It was a basic room with a bathroom and air conditioning. There was no dining and no daily maid service, but it provided a place to lay our heads at night.
- FRANCO (6/5): - THE HEAT WAS NOT WORKING. IT WAS A GOOD THING THAT IT WAS NOT REAL COLD
- Mitchell (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Fairly clean , cable box was not set up
When try to call the front desk phone in the room was disconnected , went to front desk no one available to help only a sign with a number to call for need of assistance called person tried to walk me thru to connected also light fixtures outdated not working almost coming off wall
- Sulaiman (2/5): - The staff was very rude and unprofessional
- Ruby (4/5): - Bathroom Not clean , tv didn’t work , mildew on the shower head .
- Alex (3/5): Poor -
- Marilyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (10/5): - The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, it was quiet and the air conditioning heating was perfect. There were a few details missing - no toilet paper holder, some wear and tear on the floors, stained carpet in the hallway. It worked well for us because of the location but was a bit run-down. The hotel staff was very pleasant and responsive.
- Martin (10/5): - Very happy with the stay
- H (8/5): - The staff were very polite and helpful.
- Richard P. (10/5): - Quick & easy stay
- Elizabeth (2/5): - Very durty. Stains on carpet water damge ceiling. Rust paint peeling of doors. Spots on towels.
