- Kenneth (4/5): - Do not select a superior room. The room should have been labeled “Inferior Room”. The king bed was very comfortable, but they crammed it into a room with barely any room to move around. There was 18” between the bed and the wall, 12” between the end of the bed and the dresser which made it nearly impossible to open the drawers and the blinds were poorly installed such that you could see around the blinds and into the room. Additionally the light on the outside porch was on all night, and with the poorly installed blinds, it was like sleeping with the lights on.

- Robert (10/5): Accolades in Apalachicola - The staff in the lobby was very helpful. There is no elevator to the second floor but they offered to have our baggage carried up. Also we did not get in till 8:45. The restaurant closed at 9:00 but they had no problem seating us and serving us. The food was wonderful. Great experience.

- Tiana (8/5): Charming Inn and very uncrowded town - We loved the charming Inn. We had a room in the newly remodeled back Mansion and the room was small but very charming and bathroom was amazing. We loved the sitting rooms and AC was always very nice and cold. Our only complaint is room service never came over the 3 days we stayed. You have to ask and we did but they never came. New pool and spa coming also. Probably will go back

Room was on the small side but quite nice. Quaint common areas to hangout in. Keep in mind if you book on Expedia it's essentially a reservation and you have to pay when you get to the hotel.

- Timothy (8/5): Nice old Inn in Apalachicola - This is a quaint inn located in Apalachicola, Florida. Yes, it is as old as they say it is, 1907, which is a significant part of its charm. The room was spacious and clean; the bathroom was updated with tile and new fixtures. Some items you may want to know about the inn. There is no elevator; if you have a room on the third floor, it is a small, skinny staircase to go up. The staff did offer to bring up or bring down the luggage. The bar downstairs was fun. Happy Hour has $2 off cocktails. We did order the filet. I did not read the description, so it is my fault. The item we wanted to order was out due to the snowstorm earlier in the week. The filet was covered in a sauce, which took away from the flavor of the meat. In my opinion, of course, others may like it. Meet some wonderful people hanging out there. we would come back and do recomend the hotel.
- Christopher (6/5): - We were in one of the new buildings and our room was too small. No night stand on one side of the bed and no fold out stand for the luggage. The room was way too small for a King bed. We prepaid the $40 for the breakfast but it was not worth it. Wife didn’t even eat her bananas foster French toast and we were told we were limited to only two cups of coffee. We ended up getting breakfast elsewhere on the drive home. Honestly, the stay was not worth the premium price we paid. The original hotel structurally leans to one side and all of doors are off center because of that. It was a forgettable stay.

The front desk told me that I could have take care of it when I got there but the communication I received didn’t say anything about being optional. Traveled a lot and never was asked such a thing. Made me feel uncomfortable. Maybe include a highlighted statement saying that it can be done at time of check in.

- Rhonda (10/5): Charming Inn - Loved the charm of this historic Inn. It is in walking distance of everything in Apalachicola and a short drive to St. George Beach. The Inn is very clean and our bed was super comfy. The room was a tad smaller than what we expected but it did not bother us.

- Les (6/5): Make sure you can do stairs. There are no elevator - We were not anticipating having to go up a flight of stairs, let alone 2 flights of stairs. However, the young lady at the desk accommodated us on the 2nd floor but even that was too much for stairs for us to handle at this time. There were 16 stairs which is not the average flight of stairs. However, we stayed one night and asked to be relieved of the following night. It was very disappointing, as we had wanted to stay 2 nights, but just couldn't do the stairs. The girl tried to find us a room on the 1st floor but there were none available. Had I known that this was going to be an issue? I would not have booked here.

I will note, I called the date of check in to confirm that everything was good to go for checking in that eveing and the woman who answered the phone was very rude. I’ve never experienced that with the Gibson, so it caught me off gaurd. That was the only negatice experience though, other than that it wad amazing as always!

This beautiful property is a whimsical time capsule that has married old world charm and modern amenities. From exploring the local shops and enjoying the fresh seafood to biking the historic neighborhoods on the complementary bicycles, every moment of our two day visit was enjoyed! Highly recommend this Upper Gulf Coast hidden gem!
- Susan (10/5): Beautiful historical property - Beautiful property! Adding another building, so noise may be a problem during the week. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
- mitchell (4/5): - Most things were pretty good about our stay, it was clean, close to a lot of things to do, and located in what felt like a safe area. My only problems were we got charged 16$ for 2 water bottles that we did not ever see or request in anyway. We also called a day ahead and asked about early check in and were told as long as the room was ready we could check in but we we arrived early we were told the room was ready but it would be a 50$ charge for any check in before 3pm. And the final issue was the rooms were not sound proof and we were located right by the entrance and could hear people come and go and doors open and close all night.

Shared wrap around balcony with a fresh coastal breeze. Minimal view or ocean or bay feom porch but beautiful views just a two minute walk away! Some minor maintenance being performed on building as to be expected for and antique estate. Enjoyed my stay very much.
- Mary M (8/5): - Check in stunk. There was no one at desk for 30 minutes to help. We were so tired. The manager finally came and found someone. He did give us a free drink for the trouble. The property is lovely except for construction. It's a great location. We paid big bucks for 2 rooms, at least have one free bottle of water and more than 1 coffee pod and no stir stick. I had to use my toothbrush for the morning. Saturday night and the bar closing at 10 pm did not make us happy. .

- Susanna (6/5): - It was loud at night, other guests were sitting next to our room on the balcony talking loudly until very late. Hotel is situated next to the main street, street noise was heavy until about 9pm. House keeping forgot to put water in our room and then charged us for missing bottles. Towels were not replaced even though used towels were on the floor. Stingy replacement of products. When making a complaint the girl at the front desk just made sure things were done properly, no apology though. I would not go back there.

The amenities and towels are great quality. Loved the Nespresso machine with coffee in the room. This hotel was perfect for an overnight and perfectly located to walk eat and shop!!! Thank you especially to Eva- she was so helpful and really nice!!!

- Peggy (10/5): - Beautiful old hotel. My room was small (but less expensive!) but has a newer marble bathroom. Very good mattress. Dinner at the Franklin Cafe on site was very good but a bit pricey. A nice escape from Tallahassee at the end of the week.

- Dolores (8/5): Wake up “call” - I stayed one night on my way to a weekend with friends. I had an exhausting day of travel and was looking forward to sleeping in. Early in the morning workers arrived outside my door and began drilling and hammering. When I went to leave they literally had equipment blocking my exit. It was not the peaceful stop I had hoped for.
- Barbara (10/5): Great location - Located just outside the center of town your room is still quiet. The property is old but renovated. My only caution would be that is you are concerned about walking there are no elevators. Our second story room was somewhat challenging to get to. The front desk offered help but I refused. I probably would have taken it if I knew how mant steps were involved.
