• Y1316UDkennyf (10/5): RnR - A great safe place to stay on a budget, friendly staff very accommodating and they offer free breakfast 7-10. Different views for different budgets but still very reasonable. No I'm not a paid spokesman just a huge fan of the Oregon Southern Coast and the small town of Gold Beach.

• Angela (4/5): - Instead of hearing the roar of waves we got the roar of traffic. We were given a room over the office that didn’t face the beachfront. Jacuzzi inop. Old building in need of renovation unless it was the area we got because there were other units that had ocean front views and appeared renovated. I’m disappointed with Expedia because I feel that the pictures are deceptive. The breakfast was a plus , mostly continental. It was rated a 7.0 but I’m not sure on what scale.

• Dakota (6/5): - Our stay was good overall. There were just a few things I wish were different! The pillows were very old and flat and there was pink mold in the grout on the shower wall. Our door wasn’t sealed properly so the wind kept howling from underneath it and shaking the door.

• Shana (8/5): - The property is old and you can hear a lot of your neighbors walking about plus the hot tubs were out of service. However the service was extremely friendly and welcoming, the rooms and grounds were very clean and you cannot beat the view from one of the private balconies. Not to mention being able to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean! Access to the beach meant the only reason to leave the property for the 3 days I stayed was to feed! Will stay again!

• Justin (10/5): - Had a great stay in the “Lighthouse Condo” with our kids. It was much bigger than expected with a close trail straight out to the beach. Loved the view of the ocean from the kitchen and living room windows. A lot of little gift shops and places to eat within walking distance. Port Hole Cafe on the other side of town was our favorite place for lunch. The gift shop Flowers by the Sea has AMAZING homemade fudge. Would definitely stay here again.
• Jeff (6/5): - We stayed two nights. We enjoyed the walkway to the beach & the breakfast was good. The room had been somewhat refurbished, but the room wasn't entirely clean. Walls around sink were splattered with coffee, doors needed wiping down. It would be helpful to have towel hangers. Overall, it was satisfactory. Area outside room very much needed to be vacuumed (stairs & landings).
• Ian (8/5): - We booked this place for the hot tubs. They show hot tubs in all the picture collections. We get there and the hot tubs are not in use anymore. State requirements have made the hot tubs something they can’t keep going. Very disappointed in that as it was what we were looking forward to. The rooms were also not maintained well, dust and cob webs in the corners, outlets not working, etc. The staff was good and the proximity to the ocean was nice, just not a 5 star experience.

• Michelle (10/5): - Not sure the reason for so may bad reviews. I thought they we're great. They accommodated my late arrival when I called ahead. I had no trouble getting into my room and settled. They Welcomed our two dogs and had a nice area for us to take our dogs and supplied bags for potty pickups. The access to the beach was awesome. The room was clean,the staff was helpful and the breakfasts were quite good for a continental breakfast. Everything about our stay was great I will be back

The room was comfortable enough but there are some updates needed. I could see full daylight under half the front door. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was bare bones, but I’d never rate a hotel based on that. Im sure the ocean view rooms are more appealing just for the ocean. I stayed in room 404…

• fredrL3454CV (2/5): Horrible! Worst experience I’ve ever had on vacation!! - 1.). We arrived around 9pm most of the exterior lights were off and it was difficult and dangerous to find our room. Thank goodness our neighbors in 103 left their blinds opened.... The next day I asked the neighbor to please close their blinds when they were sleeping. He got upset and told me that I was very rude. 2). Upon first glance the room looked updated and clean. Upon closer observation, all of the windows and mirrors had a streaks of filth. It appeared that housekeeping used a dirty sponge on all of the surfaces. The fan for the kitchen had cooking debris all over the bottom. 3). The floors were covered with a sticky residue. 4). Dust was all over the top of the headboard of the bed. 5). There was dog hair on the couch. 6). The bath had a filth ring and the drain was clogged. Not possible to bathe, the shower worked fine if you don't mind standing in dirty water... 7). We had 1 towel to share and housekeeping never checked in on us. 8.) the garden was unkept; the hot tubs were all closed no water and in disarray,, and locked up tight. The ocean view was almost nonexistent. 9.) I was charged an additional $100 with no explanation. 10). I have tried to call them several times with no answer and no voicemail!!!
• Tressa (6/5): - Honestly the property was not bad. The staff wasn’t super friendly or helpful. The pet deposit listed on their website was $10 and they ended up charging me $25 per night for pet fee. The pool area was closed…So that was unexpected and disappointing. If I couldn’t find anywhere else, I would stay here again.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Staff said ‘I have no idea’—and that was the most - Check-in was a nightmare. Booked for 3 PM, told it was 4 PM, but my room still wasn’t ready until after 5. Staff had zero communication—literally said “I have no idea” when asked for an ETA. The Lighthouse Suite reeked of industrial cleaner so bad we had to air it out just to breathe. Disorganized, unprofessional, and unpleasant. Never again.
• cannibalgurl71 (2/5): We didn’t even book because their customer service was terrible! - They have a Groupon that made the hotel very affordable. I had a question about if you could use a debit card at the hotel instead of a credit card so I called the hotel. I asked the lady my question and she goes off trying to upsell me. I finally said “Look. We’re buying it the other way because we can do it through Afterpay. My client’s mom is trying to do something nice for them. Their favorite thing is to sit on a balcony, watch the ocean, and eat McDonalds.” Then she continues to try and upsell me, never answering my simple question. Then she tells me that we might not even get the room for the night we want if I get the Groupon offer. If that’s the case, why was Groupon setting up the reservation? Then she tells me “Well, you could save up the money before you get here.” She had zero business saying that. I never felt so insulted. The worst part? Mom is a widowed mom with special needs kids and she’s on a tight budget. I absolutely will not ever stay here if that’s their idea for customer service.

• Nana_and_Poppi (8/5): Million Dollar View! - MILLION DOLLAR VIEW! The Gold Beach Inn is currently undergoing renovation. Our room had been updated. It was quiet and comfortable, with a private balcony with a million dollar view of the Pacific Ocean! It may be the only hotel in Gold Beach with every room facing the ocean. There was beach access, but I didn't have the proper footwear to walk to the beach. Hot tubs were closed when we visited, but we weren't going to use them anyway. Continental Breakfast would work for families with young children, but we chose to have breakfast at a nearby cafe. Housekeeping could use a refresher course in cleaning the bathroom, our only complaint, and to be fair, we did not bring it to the attention of hotel staff. We would stay there again if we visit Gold Beach.

They did not have butter. All they had out was some potatoes and a couple slices of bread no milk no butter no eggs just sorry potatoesThis is the second time I stayed there in this place is full of excuses why they do not provide what they say they have online

• Daisy (2/5): - My recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and I feel it's important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hotel's advertised appearance was far from reality. The hallway leading to my room was in disrepair, with dirty light fixtures and what appeared to be mold growth. There was also ongoing construction, which added to the unpleasant atmosphere. The room itself was a major letdown. Cleanliness was a significant issue; I found a dirty towel with lipstick stains, which is completely unacceptable. Instead of proper air conditioning, there was only a plug-in fan, which barely provided any relief. The bathroom was in poor condition, with a warped door due to moisture. Furthermore, the bed frame was exposed missing a cover sheet. Safety was also a concern. The bathroom door didn't lock, and the safety lock on the main door was missing, leaving me feeling insecure. Overall, this hotel failed to meet even basic standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodation.

• Leann (2/5): If I could rate it less than a 1 I would!!! GROSS! - This place was filthy! We changed rooms twice. The first room was like a dungeon. We went to the front desk. We paid for an upgrade to an ocean view. When we got to that room, we always pull the sheets back to look for bedbugs; luckily, there were none, but the mattress cover had no cover on it. There were some blood stains on the duvet, which also had no cover. There was hair on the cloth chairs, the portable fan, and the floor was not vacuumed and had large stains. The bathroom toilet had eggshells in it, and the toilet paper and mirror were dirty. The pillow was stained; everything that was supposed to be white had a gray look to it. We called the front desk again. She removed the cost of the upgrade and then said, "I will put you in our suite with a king bed and fireplace." The stairs were leaning; let's just say it was a shady walk to get to the room, and the balcony was not any better. The microwave stunk, and there was splashed liquid on the walls that was not cleaned.Mold in the sliding door that we had to use 2 hands just to open! We stopped looking at this point. We checked the bed and went to sleep. There was nowhere else to stay; everything was booked! The bed was comfortable. The next morning, we spoke with another guest, and they had the same experience. Breakfast was hard biscuits with gravy; we had to ask them to refill things there also. The coffee was good; we settled for that.
• Cortney (6/5): Not as advertised but good staff - My review is based on my personal experience which did not end in staying the night here. We arrived an hour after check in-waited in line to check in to be told I needed to wait an additional 15-20minutes and no hot tubs were working and only one grill with a full house on a first come first serve basis. So my number one reason I added this stop to our vacation was for our family to enjoy the hot tubs over looking the beach. We did plan to grill but didn’t realize there was only one so that was on me. The trees have grown up quite a bit in front of the hot tubs so thinking they will take care of that once they open the hot tubs again. After letting the family know about the no hot tubs they were very disappointed so I talked to the front desk when I came back and just cancelled our stay. When you’re paying close to $300 for 1nt in one hotel room I feel like you should get what you’re told will be there. Unfortunately the hot tub situation was out of their control and they don’t know when they will be up again. I would have really appreciated knowing this ahead of time so I wouldn’t have been in a tiny town figuring out a family plan. The guy doing the check ins was working hard and so was the lady trying to get all the rooms ready so I hope they can get it all figured out and are successful.

Asked for cleaner or room freshener, got a No, don't have any and not willing to clean it up. Booked based on hot tubs with Ocean View. They apparently have been out of order for some time and also booked wanting Ocean View well in advance. That was also a No and that the computer just assigns room, can't help you. Overall, will not recommend or stay again...

• Verified traveler (2/5): Beware: Unsafe, Unclean, and Absolutely Awful - I genuinely wish I had read more reviews before booking the Gold Beach Inn. This place is not just outdated—it’s downright dangerous. The entry to our room had a sharp 4-inch step-down with no warning, and I nearly injured my already weak ankle. Even worse, my friend tripped on a broken, chipped step at the main entrance of our room. Safety clearly isn’t a priority here. Inside, the room was filthy. Stains on the furniture, grime in corners, and a disgusting fan that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. It gave off serious “we stopped trying a long time ago” vibes. The room felt neglected, unkempt, and gross—definitely not a place to relax or feel comfortable in. Service? Barely existent. It’s clear they don’t care, and unfortunately, because it’s one of the few options in town, people keep booking. But don’t be fooled. This isn’t just a bad hotel—it’s a hazard. If you’re passing through Gold Beach, do yourself a favor and keep driving. Staying here was one of the worst travel decisions I’ve ever made.

Room had 1 bath, hand, and wash cloth. Almost felt like bait and switch.

• BRANDI (8/5): - Upon arriving the staff person was new and almost messed up my reservation, I asked for a downstairs unit since I just had a knee replacement, they could not accommodate me , usually places have no issues putting me in a bottom unit , they said you can pay extra, which was almost the price of another room. No elevator . The hot tub was out of order and it certainly was not noted in making the reservation. Nice access to the beach , it was a ways to walk but for a person with mobility restrictions, it was an in between walk . The beach was beautiful as long as you can walk to it . Breakfast they did not have enough food to serve everyone options were limited. Overall it was a decent place to stop for a night of sleep.
• Candice (2/5): - Will be requesting refund. Originally booked a 2 queen room for my partner and our 2 boys. Boys didn’t want to come so I called and asked to swap to a simple king. Person I talked to said that shouldn’t be a problem but there would be a $40 up charge, this was fine. The person I talked to said they were putting us into a king, top floor, ocean view and gave me the new price. When I checked in the next day the room I was told was reserved for me the day prior was “not available” and “there’s no note from anyone about the room change” which was weird considering the upcharge was on the reservation. The hot tubs were “out of service” which was part of why we had booked at that particular location. At this point, I was frustrated and without prompting, we were “upgraded” to a different location. This location was filthy, and the balcony and entry walkway were rotting through the wood. I will NEVER book with that hotel again.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Dirty, run down, stay away - Don't stay here. Very dirty and unkept. Didn't have the room we booked, had to pay an upcharge, plus the hottubs are not working. Clearly haven't been for quite a while. No estimate as to when they will. Of course, Hotels.com doesn't let you know that.
• Sandy (8/5): - Everything was good except the hot tub was down, that was a main reason we chose your hotel. Also the stair steps are hazardous with the carpet coming loose
• Felicia63 (8/5): Great stay at gold beach inn - So the views are stunning love the beds clean very accommodating got us in early after long trip front desk is great quiet stunning sun set safety in the bathroom lots of bars in bathtub great shower beds are good sheets and very comfy my favorite stay we come back twice a year favorite also my service dog welcome
• Ariel (2/5): - Got to the property around 6:30 to check in, got to the office and it was closed. Rang the bell on the office door, called them multiple times, no answer. Contacted Expedia and they tried to contact the property multiple times with no response. Ended up getting a refund and going to Jot’s Resort instead, and very happy we did.
• LakeMacquarieLisa (10/5): Great view & fireplace - Loved our top floor King with fireplace and view of the beach, what more do you need. Pleasant staff and very clean, comfy bed and all amenities except would like real glasses rather than plastic is only suggestion. Good value and would enjoy staying again.
• Marketa (10/5): - It was our second stay and we were very pleased. Everything nice and clean and friendly stuff!
• Laura (6/5): No view - No ocean view but ocean is short walk. Staff was friendly. Shower did not disappoint with plenty of hot water.

• huskerss2 (10/5): Great spot for a night or two. Superb Value - We stayed here early May for a night. Great staff clean rooms. We were in a newly remodeled room friendly. It looked and smelled better than the Hampton and we stayed a day before. Without a view, this room was under $100 a night. Breakfast was not bad either again please don’t expect four seasons treatment at a Taco Bell price but it’s fantastic for what it is. Definitely would stay here again.
• Scott (4/5): - Six HBO channels, and a toilet that won't flush. Didn't want to report problem to staff because they clearly didn't want to see me. Housekeeping woke me up in the morning. Left angry. Good reason to buy an RV.
• Sonia (8/5): Worth the money. - More than enough room. Had a 3 bedroom suite. Older buildings in process of remodeling and updating. No one around when we arrived for check-in and no answer on phone # on front door to call. Very roomy, worth the price. Breakfast was okay.
• Tammy (10/5): Ahhh rest and relaxation! - When you first drive up the place looks very run down and dirty, but ince you get to tour room it is clean and comfortable. Everything is up to date and fresh. The hot tub wasn't very hot though, more like tepid, but it wasnt freezing so it was nice on a windy, cool day. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helped me upgrade my room to what I thought I'd already reserved. All in all the experience was lovely.
• Mary (10/5): - Beautiful balcony view (with upgrade to room) with nice hot tubs (only 1 was operating) and comfy bed. Rooms were upgraded so outside is deceiving. It looks run down but is not. It was a great gem and we would definitely stay again!

• Nancy (10/5): - Since this property sold to new owners, the hot tubs are only luke warm and not warm enough to get in. We have been coming here for years because the hot tubs are located outside under the stars near the beach with the crashing sound of the waves. Now, it’s much like all the other local motels, a room near the beach.
• Ana Patricia De (4/5): A lot of room for improvement. - The worst stop during our road trip. Out of the 3 Spa available, only one was in service for all the guests. It was practically impossible to use it. Although the efforts to upgrade or renovate the property are visible, our room had issues with the bathroom door, we struggle to open and close the door. The area of the room with no carpet was very sticky, which means it was not clean. The breakfast area was very stingy and the food not very good. This property has a lot of room for improvement.
• Jon (6/5): - Check in was uninviting and gave vague advice which got us lost for dinner. I don't think she liked us for whatever reason. Everything was ok for what we paid. Plain room
• Jaclyn (6/5): - My thoughts are split, I think we drew the short straw on who got the update rooms or not. We reserved the "room 2 queen beds" and I don't think there's a way to tell if you're getting ocean front or above the front desk, so just a warning. We were above the front desk; room is very basic/dated, the room windows look out to a hallway, not bright and airy like the pictures show. The window is single pane glass and the walls are so thin, so you hear all your neighbors walking by and worse if they are loud. Really, fine for one night, but not at all what I was expecting to walk in to. Great little outdoor space with I think 3 hot tubs. I can imagine it's a great spot in the summer time. Only one hot tub was running and no towels out so my husband had to get our room towels, probably due to the season, but it was clean, warm, and outside which was very nice.
• Radvany (10/5): Beautiful spot on the beach - Nice place, nice spot on the beach. They were still doing maintenance for the upcoming season. Room clean, nice bed and bedding, right on the beach. Basic breakfast biscuits and gravy, breads, orange juice, milk, couple cereals, coffee. Decent.
• Christina (8/5): Need heat sooner - The front desk attendant at night was very helpful. They need to make one more note about how to use the heat though… One complaint they should not leave the heat off so it takes an hour to two hours for the room to heat up. It was said at 61°, and that was Ludacris

• Jennifer (4/5): - Check in was complicated. For an office that is open from 7:30am to 9:30 pm, when we arrived at 7:25 pm the office door was locked. After I called the after hours number someone came to the door who was not happy to be doing her job. She stated that she was on lunch and complained the time of check in that they only ever have one person to work at a time. Now 4 days after checking out my account was charged twice and when I called the desk to clear it up again I was greeted with a less than friendly response and unwilling to help resolve the problem. We will not be staying at gold beach again nor will we recommend it.
• Jodi (4/5): - I chose this property because of the spa and ocean views. Our room did not have a view, curtains were ripped, the spa was unkept and only had 1 hot tub running of the 3 in the spa area on a holiday weekend. I would not visot again when there are so many onther choices not that far away.
