Guest Reviews
- Janice (4/5): - Overpriced and Nowhere Near Five-Star ⭐⭐☆☆☆
Grand Sultan is a large hotel that feels stuck in the 80s or 90s. While they’ve tried a cheap makeover, it falls far short of five-star standards. The property is overpriced for what it offers.
The dinner buffet is a prime example—at USD 30 per person, it’s beyond overpriced, and unsurprisingly the dining room was nearly empty. The food itself was over-spiced and overcooked.
Cleanliness is another concern. I found a hair in my bathtub (see photo). When I raised this with the hotel, staff brushed it off as no big deal—clearly this wasn’t the first time. Overall cleanliness was just “meh.”
Check-out is also unpleasant, as they require you to do it well in advance so staff can inspect the room, treating guests as though they might be stealing towels.
Unfortunately, there is no other option in the area, so guests end up staying here despite the shortcomings. The hotel may look big and flashy, but in reality, it is outdated, overpriced, and poorly managed. Definitely not a true five-star experience.
- Mohammad (10/5): - Definitely a 5 star hotel, clean and safe all around the hotel. Staff are very professional and very polite. Has access to the swimming pool and childrens area. Beautiful scenic view for people that love to take pictures.
- Yoshihiko (10/5): - The property is very well managed and maintained, to the international standards.
- Habibur (6/5): - Money wise it’s not worth it.
It’s says 5 🌟but with service it’s like 4 stars ⭐️
- Mohammed (10/5): - Amazing hotel real five star hotel
- Aksar (10/5): - Staffs are very friendly and helpful.dining option was okay.
I think they should consider kind of necessary grocery shop where you can get some important and emergency think..Rest of the things i liked😊
- Lema (10/5): - All staff were helpful, it was nice to see a building built around nature. However, it would be convininent if there was grocery shops or medical services nearby. I know that there was medical nurse available until 6, but it would be better if there was one 24 hours.
- Verified traveler (4/5): terrible - overpriced . nothing special .
- Tuta (8/5): - Everything is excellent I would recommend come and visit
One thing is they don’t have any shops that’s the downfall
- Syed (8/5): - I liked the cleanliness and the resort outside however, their food was not great.
- Rubina (2/5): - I had to pay extra money for my child to staying in my room I informed ebookers when booking I will be staying with my kids but still had to pay a extra £100 which I thought was not fair as I gave all information when making booking and paid invoice amount
- Chandan (8/5): - Check in was a little late on the email it said check in was at 12 at the reception they said check its at 2pm was a little upset
