- Mary (10/5): Cleanest room/bathroom I’ve ever seen! - Absolutely one of the cleanest rooms and bathrooms I’ve ever seen. And I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and motels. Owners were very accommodating as well. And they even had a reverse osmosis system in the bathroom sink. I’ve never seen that. So great! We’re definitely staying there again next year when we go back. Thank you River country motor lodge!

They offered a fire pit near the horseshoe pit and cornhole boards. The room was super clean and the owners were very welcoming! The property was well maintained with simple but appealing landscaping. Also dog-friendly which is hard to find sometimes! I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

There was plenty of hot water and the water pressure was good. This facility is an older motor lodge (probably built in the 1960s), it is very well maintained for an older property. I would have given a higher level, if my unit had a deadbolt lock and a peephole on the entry door. This stay checked all of the things I needed in an overnight stay.

- Phyllis (10/5): - The check in process was very easy and staff was friendly. The room was just what we needed for a quick one night stay. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The only negative I would say is there was not a lot of parking and we were on the second floor, and the stairway up to our room and the balcony was a bit narrow to carry bags, etc., but all-in-all it was good experience and very economical. I would stay here again if/when in the area and needing a room.
- Susan (10/5): - There is a bike trail right across the road, so we walked it in to town for dinner at a bbq place on the river. People two rooms down were sitting out front and friendly, but multiple cigarettes were enough to fill our room with the smell of smoke. When we returned from dinner they had retired and the smoke was gone. We had a great night’s sleep!
- David (10/5): - Like: Management was friendly, responsive,helpful. Property was clean. Location was prime for shopping, dining. Cabinets were stocked with plenty of glasses, plates, silverware. Dislike: The inside lighting was too dim. Maybe because of my advanced years. No bathroom exhaust fan. Would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

- Sheri (2/5): NO SLEEP LOUD AS HELL - Loudest place I have ever stayed its currently 430 am and i have been up since 330 when the slamming and pounding started. Not sure if someone just came in or is getting ready to leave but its completely ridiculous. We are on the top floor so must be people behind us. I understand thin walls but this is too much. Maybe let late coming or early rising guests know to try and be respectful because it sounds like they are coming through the walls....very disappointed.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Place to Stay in Grayling, MI - The property was very well kept and the room was clean, cute, and cozy. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We chose this motel because it was pet friendly. It had a well maintained grass area just across from the parking area. I have nothing negative to say about this motel. The property manager was very kind as well. I would stay here again.

There was a 3600 mile raging fires so No electricity Had to go to three towns until we found a restaurant open We retired at 9pm . I was hoping I would get a compensation for room. Nothing happened
- curtis (10/5): weekend fishing trip - I stayed while on a weekend fishing trip. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the room was quiet. I will be staying here again.
- Michael (6/5): Noisy - So noisy. Was awakened three different times by later arriving guests. Could hear every word. Thank goodness nobody was using TV. Wouldn’t stay again without ear plugs.

- Patrick (10/5): Very well maintained cozy lil room - Room was a tad small but it was very well maintained. Owner remodeled the bathroom, looks super new & well done. Nice small kitchen too with toaster & coffee maker. Will stay here again if I am ever needing to make a stop here.
- Douglas (8/5): One night stay on our way back to Canada - Our room was clean and comfortable for our 1 night stay. The motel has a section that is 2 storeys. We were on the ground level and could hear people talking and walking above us. It was very loud. Also, I think there was a pet in the room above us and we could hear a tapping on the floor as if it were a tail tapping above our heads. Fortunately it stopped around midnight and we were able to fall asleep. If we ever stay here again, I would request a room at the end where it is only ground level rooms.

- Tom (10/5): - The room had a refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot (and coffee), and a microwave. The cupboard had knives, forks, spoons, spatulas, cups, and glasses. There were wash clothes and towels for drying the dishes. It basically had everything.
- Tracy (4/5): - Tiny room, bed very low to the ground, awful pillows, cold, bad lighting. Only reason to stay is that they're the only dog friendly place for miles. Crashed for a few hours and got the heck out.
