Guest Reviews
- Lucas (10/5): -
- Sarasin (10/5): Wonderful stay with amazing customer service. - They have wonderful staff that was very welcoming. He took the time to reach out to follow up on when we would be checking in. I have never had a hotel do that. I am very impressed with the customer service. There is nothing that I did not like about this hotel.
- Carson (5/5): - Spacious. Kind attentive staff. Handy appliances. Decent price. Good location. Extended stay options Faucet leaked. Vending machine broken. No breakfast. Coffee creamer chunky. Tiny Holes in the pillow cases. Shower head broken.
- Patrick (8/5): -
- Michael Deyahna (6/5): "An Objective Look at My Downtown Motel Stay" - My stay was comfortable and pleasant. I have sore shoulders. And currently I'm getting my bathroom and tub cleaned only 2 out of 7 days. Also my sheets are getting changed only 1 out of 7 days.
- Gregg (7/5): Good value! - Easy ck in! Clean rooms
- McMurtrie (8/5): Great place. Will return - Very clean. Nice location No complaints
- Ram (8/5): -
- Aaron (10/5): -
- Robert (7/5): Very good overall for the price. - Clean updated rooms. Location was excellent. Easy parking & friendly staff. Price great. Probably only ding is the pillows/matress were a little uncomforable.
- Jim (8/5): -
- Charles (5/5): I'd stay again. - One block away from Subway. Too, for being the least expensive motel, it was decent for me, A $10 less charge.
- Janette (8/5): OK - NO meal. There wasn't a chair at the desk. The lights by the beds didn't work.
- Beverly (4/5): Would not stay again... Nope... Nada - Larger fridge that was clean. Bed was fairly comfortable. Very nice size TV. Outlet for bed lighting doesn't work; useless. Mirror and counters had residue from cleaning towel. Several spots were not clean; entry door, walls, peeling paint near bath. Just felt kind of grody.
- Steve (7/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay as everything worked including the AC and it was an extremely hot day. - Great location, walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Price was low compared to all other hotels.
Rooms were a bit dated but all appliances worked including the small fridge and air conditioner. Paint had peeled off certain spots in the bathroom.
- Allen (10/5): Me and my wife liked the Stay very Well - that it was clean
- Jacob (8/5): Simple and Perfect -
- JOHN (10/5): -
- Cotton (8/5): Just fine. - Clean, neat, perfect for enroute overnight stay. N/A
- Ahmed (1/5): -
- Lentner (7/5): Relaxing - Stores and restaurants were in walking distance.N Nothing. Had a good stay.
- James (9/5): -
- Donald (10/5): - Nice place and location
- Alan (8/5): - Clean room
- seescokid (10/5): Doggone it, can’t beat it unless you’re snotty - Where in today’s world can you get a decent clean room with 2 good queen beds, fridge , micro for $70?
Downtown motel Gaylord that’s where. Old school cool. Ok here’s the deal , some ratty vehicles, people slamming doors who don’t give a crap about anyone else( everywhere) and not great first impressions by the “snotty wife”.
We had trouble getting the ac unit working the way we wanted it but it’s my own fault for forgetting my box fan.
Up here for a 2 day golf trip.
You won’t impress your wife but for $72( really $66 on Booking.com) you can’t touch it.
Going to the Elk viewing park
We need these ma and Pa places
- Teresa (6/5): - Like a lot of hotels that is affordable it is old but it is a place to sleep
- Rivers (10/5): - Great place all around
- Steven (6/5): -
- John (8/5): - Okay for clean place to sleep. No ice buckets. No breakfast, but coffee in room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): first time - Updated and clean, simple room. Sheets were old but was very acceptable. Close to our agendas. Would stay again....
- Doug (10/5): Great place to relax - Great location with a restaurant/bar nearby. Didn’t have to drive
- Alveretta (9/5): Have stayed here before. - Friendly people, Clean, Quiet
- Joseph (10/5): - Like all the other reviews say, the property is little dated, but it is an excellent place to stay for the night, bed sheets were nice and clean, the place is smack dead in the middle of town. Location is perfect. Staff was friendly. Easy check-in and easy checkout. Would definitely stay again.
- Daniel (8/5): - Good place for the rates.
- Patrick (6/5): Decent, clean value motel - Nice shower Sink outside bathroom was higher then normal countertop level, difficult to use
- C (2/5): Not for families or single women. Sketchy clientele - The hotel room wasn't filthy, which was a plus. The sheets were clean, but not the comforter. Gross. Bathroom was clean, but had no towels. Had to call front desk to get them. This is the kind of motel where it appears people "live" at. I noticed mail delivered for some guests were set out at the front office. Some of this mail was addressed from the prosecting attorneys office, which didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy as traveling a single woman for work.
- Ben (8/5): - Mostly good. Quick check in. Air Conditioning and fridge worked good. Beds comfy enough. Adequate floor space. A few bugs flying around. Beds made clunky noises when moving. Toilet flush switch was loose and hard to flush. The table next to the bed had large food stain that i had to wash off on arrival.
- Danny (7/5): Good -
- Janice L (6/5): - When you pay extra for a 3rd person why dont you have towels enough for 3? I had to go get more for our use.
No elevator.
Room interior repairs were poor quality. Painting, walls with damage, toilet seat needs replaced.
- Deboer (8/5): Very good -
- Sympathy (9/5): Quiet and clean - Parking right outside room Tea bag as an option not just coffee to go with coffee maker
- Robert (6/5): - we didn't stay here, they moved us to a nicer motel.
- Terina (5/5): Passable - Location is great and tavern next door Beds hard, but it was comfortable stay.
- Hansen (3/5): Averted to another hotel. - Staff helped to find alternate lodging. The hotel was in poor physical condition.
At check-in, I was told the rooms all had water damage and that I needed to find alternate lodging somewhere else. So I did !
- Tammy (1/5): It sucked - Location The room smelled of old cigarette smoke.
It was so strong I was unable to sleep in there due to the fact I have asthma and it triggered wheezing. I actually slept in my car.
I tried numerous times to contact the staff and have left 2 voicemails and no response.
- Howard (10/5): - The property advertised having "squeaky-clean" rooms or something to that effect, and both my wife and I felt it lived up to this advertisement. Nothing fancy, but clean and affordable.
- Jennifer (7/5): The design is a little out of date, but the rooms are clean and very, very spacious compared to others - Very convenient to downtown It is a little dated in design
- Bob (7/5): The facility is old but very clean.comfort - Price and clean The air conditioner in room 48 doesn’t work properly. Have to lower the temperature way down to get it to work. It will run for a little while then will not come back on unless you continue to lower the temperature way down. It was probably 75 in the room and we had it down to 60. Never cooled the room down.
- Jonathan (8/5): - For an older motel, it is in excellant condition. The tub was better caulked than mine at home or any other motel I stayed at in the past year.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok place to stay. - Very nice room for a quick, overnight stay.
No breakfast.
- Renee (7/5): Good value and location for the price - Location and price are good. The mattress moves around. Definitely needs new pillows.
- Hernandez (7/5): Good -
- Corinne (6/5): - We chose this hotel for its price. For what we paid, it's good value. The hotel is very dated, and nothing fancy, but perfect for our one-night stopover. We would definitely consider staying here again.
- James (6/5): It was good for the money - Price for the room Some of our towels were dirty and in the clean rack
- Salmon (8/5): Very good - Close to downtown and our favorite restaurant. Room was neat and clean and the bed was very comfortable but the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke.
- Eva (10/5): - Great service and cleaned room
- Lynn (3/5): Poor - The staff was very rude when I checked in and the website clearly stated free breakfast on the main page but when I checked in, she said there was no breakfast Friendliness.
Towels were ripped and even sheets were stained you get what you pay for
- Scott (7/5): Good -
- Dlyan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alma (10/5): See Ya next year... - Gaylord MI is such a beautiful place, I joke and say I have a ski cabin. Great location to take in the last snow!
- Alandice (10/5): Nice! - Great!
- Dan (10/5): - Very friendly with big tv clean rooms good heat
- Michelle (1/5): Bad -
- Curtis (5/5): Decent except for heater - Price Heater was noisy
- James (4/5): - It was a trip back to the seventies. Coffee pot had burnt coffee in it and when i left it outit wasn't cleaned, just placed back in the holder. The drawers were not clean. The heater started and stopped every 2 minutes and blow right on the beds. All four pillows were different. People were very noisy fighting until 11:00pm every night.
- Patrick (10/5): Nice location and price. - Budget friendly place to stay in town. Clean and comfortable.
- Matthew (7/5): Good -
- Charles (5/5): It was ok - It was an older motel. It was cheap and if passing though it ok. For what I did it was ok. Noise from ppl above you could hear walking and talking.
- William (7/5): Good -
- Dewolf (8/5): Very good - Prices
- Vjeko (10/5): Clean place and excellent value - This place really is clean, as advertised. No odors or issues of any kind. The room stayed warm. Excellent location for nearby Treetops ski resort and downtown Gaylord. The owner Peter is very friendly and accommodating. He gave us an extra nice room.
- Cadotte (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (1/5): Won’t come back - Had issue with refrigeration not cold and also the lavatory backed up and stunk Customer service was horrible and could not u derstand
- Brian (10/5): Amazing value, clean, affordable, and comfortable. - The room was way nicer than expected for the price. The room was large, clean, and it had a large tv. Many budget options skimp on the tv size. Everything was clean and worked as expected. I have stayed in rooms double the price that were way worse. Would definitely recommend.
- Connie (10/5): - Didn't except cash credit cards only
- Caner (1/5): terrible experience - location I stayed for 10 days, only one day my room towels were changed, my garbage was taken, if I go here again I will definitely not stop by here, if you want to get sick you can stay at this motel, the attention service is zero, only the location is good.
- Snyder (3/5): Poor - Price Bed, pillows too hard, couldnt sleep well. Coffee or cream were bad. Residents on parole looking for smokes and someone to buy their walmart card. Crappy soap and shampoo. Shower like pins and needles. Blinking light on phone.
- Dennis (1/5): Bad. Could never recommend! - Location Everything! Building run down. Furniture in poor condition. Checked out within 1/2 an hour of checking in!
- Linda (8/5): - The hotel was clean and conveniently located in downtown Gaylord. Many restaurants within walking distance. It's an older motel, but it was adequate for our night's stay. Some of the bathroom fixtures were newer.
- Marc (5/5): Passable -
- Kris (7/5): Good -
- Kris (7/5): Good -
- James (7/5): Good -
- Julie (10/5): Very nice. - Extremely quiet and clean but could use better pillows. They were flat and hard. Excellent outdoor lighting. Super clean.
- Johnson (8/5): Very good - N/A N/A
- Pablo (10/5): - Very cool
- Edwin (6/5): - Older motel. Average accommodations. Good for the price. Walkable distance for food.
- André (9/5): Superb -
- Stanton (7/5): Good -
- Clyde (8/5): Very good -
- Lindsey (1/5): Bad -
- Terrance (8/5): Very good - Clean and quiet
Tv easy to use
- Riggar (7/5): Good -
- Dowd (2/5): I really got taken. - They charged me twice for one night!!!!
- Brian (1/5): Bad - Location is the only good thing about this place Dirty, stinky, outdated, falling apart, rude workers
- Douglas (5/5): It was fine considering we were only there overnight, although none of us slept well. - The location was within walking distance of several good restaurants. The air conditioner made a huge racket. My son's room reeked of cleaner/disinfectant.
- Parkhurst (7/5): Good -
- Dennis (4/5): Disappointing -
- Leavitt (8/5): Great for the price - The room was very clean. Staff was friendly- check in went smoothly. The beds were comfortable. Loved the small fridge/ freezer. The sink shelf was very high- I am 5ft 9vand had trouble leaning over sink to brush teeth.
- Edward (8/5): - Comfortable beds, great shower and very spacious room. Only issue was non smoking room but still reeked of smoke. Still the trim was a good value.
