- Ed (3/5): Adequate for our needs. - Location was close to event we attended. Bad sewer smell, one light in room an lack of electrical outlets. Also lots of road noise.

- Peter (5/5): it was a place to stay. - It had two queen size beds for all of us to sleep. There is a burn mark on the vanity, the bathroom is very small. The beds are on some metal platform which would creek with the slightest move. the pillows were too thin. The a/c would only come on for about a minute then shut off. We only had two towels which were very worn and thin.

The pictures are after I killed several We did not shower at all. The floor was sticky and so was the carpet so we kept shoes on anytime walking through.

- Miller (1/5): ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. - ABSOLUTELY "NOTHING" I DID NOT EVEN STAY THERE. IT IS A DRUGGIE MOTEL. THERE WAS A HYPODERMIC SYRINGE CAP ON THE FLOOR UNDER THE BED WHICH I KEPT AS EVIDENCE. AFTER THE MGMT REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK I LEFT. I HAVE SERIOUS HEART ISSUES & CANNOT TOLERATE UNNECESSARY STRESS. I RECENTLY HAD A HEART ATTACK IN JANUARY. AFTER I LEFT I WAS SO UPSET THAT I DROVE ALL THE WAY BACK HOME TO CHICO. I GOT APPROXIMATELY 40 MILES DOWN HWY 20 & REALIZED THAT I HAD ACCIDENTALLY PUT THEY'RE DUCT TAPED REMOTE CONTROL TO THEY'RE T.V. IN MY PURSE SO I TURNED AROUND & DROVE ALL THE WAY BACK TO GRASS VALLEY TO RETURN IT TO THE MGMT. I COULD NOT HAVE POSSIBLY BEEN ABLE TO EVEN FEEL COMFORTABLE/SECURE W/SLEEPING THERE. THE BEDSPREAD HAD STAINS ON IT, THE FREEZER DID NOT WORK AT ALL & THE REFRIGERATOR BARELY GOT COLD. LONG STORY SHORT, THAT WAS ULTIMATELY THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE, DIRTY, DISGUSTING MOTEL THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF ACTUALLY WALKING OUT OF QUICKER THAN I WALKED INTO. I AM CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF FILING A FRAUD INVESTIGATION AGAINST THIS NASTY, FRAUDULENT MOTEL & YOURSELVES BECAUSE I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE & BEGGED FOR HELP & DID NOT GET ANY HELP WHATSOEVER. I KNOW, YOU KNOW, THE MOTEL MGMT KNOWS & GOD KNOWS THAT I "NEVER" STAYED THERE. I HAVE CONSULTED W/MY LAWYER MICHAEL J. ROONEY LLC IN CHICO, CALIFORNIA IN REGARDS TO THIS MATTER & LET'S JUST SAY... "THIS SITUATION IS FAR FROM BEING OVER WITH"... MOST SINCERELY, LISA ANN MILLER. YOU WILL BE BEING CONTACTED BY MY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE IN THE NEAR FUTURE IN REGARDS TO THIS MATTER... THE VIDEO/AUDIO IN WHICH I DOCUMENTED AS PROOF OF THE UNSANITARY/UNACCEPTABLE/INAPPROPRIATE/UNPROFESSIONAL/ UNETHICAL PRESENTATION OF SAID PROPERTY/MGMT/ THIRD PARTY... When I got there they said no poolside view was available. Room was dirty, and the mini fridge did not work… I won’t ever be staying at this dump again. To the lady at the front desk, you have terrible bedside manner!

I made the reservation online and didn't even have a chance to go in the office to talk to them about my daughters service animals that had showed up when she did that morning- they kicks me out as soon as they found out I had service animals. They told me "we don't do service animals here". They told me that they would refund me the money for that night and the deposit as soon as I packed up and left because they didn't allow the service animals. I packed up I got everything out of the room made sure it was clean and they kept my money and told me to leave. I called the police they told me it was a civil issue and I would have to take them to court I had stayed at this place for two nights before making the third night reservation online because it was $40 cheaper . I made the reservation online and didn't even have a chance to go in the office to talk to them about my daughters service animals that had showed up when she did that morning- they kicks me out as soon as they found out I had service animals. They told me "we don't do service animals here". Luke warm shower in the early am. The shower was too close to the toilet. The coffee in the room was terrible. The table and chairs in the room were very utilitarian, with no padding on the seat of the chairs.

That was the best thing about a - The location of the property was convenient There was construction going on that. I was not notified about. It started at 3 o’clock in the morning and stopped at eight. The one guy left and the other guy stayed and didn’t tinkering around. I did not get sleep. Same thing happened the second night our room was very unclean. There was hair on the faucet in the bathroom. It was dirty. I had to ask for towels, etc. etc..

Smelled like sewer in the room, the carpet was wet due to them cleaning it apparently right before we checked in...bathroom was not very clean, towels has hair on them and I had to exchange every linen, shower curtain had stains, and a loofa was left in the bathroom on the shower curtain, indicating it was not changed..there was trash left under the bed from the people before us, the microwave didnt work...it is most definitely not worth the money they charged!

I've stayed at this place more than once and that's the only time that happened.
- Paul (2/5): - Let me start by saying, The holiday lodge was my home away from home when we would come visit Nevada city. Unfortunately with this last stay my home turned into an extended stay third world lodge. First the vanity lighting in the bathroom did not work , then we found a baseball size blood stain on are sheets, then to top it off the bed and pillows were so out dated. I’ve stayed in many of hotel rooms, but by far this is the worst and most uncomfortable room my wife and I have ever stayed. I Don’t usually write reviews. But for the price of the room the standard was far from being met. Honestly not even close. I will never pay to be UNCOMFORTABLE at THE HOLIDAY LODGE EVER AGAIN… I had good memories but this last stay really showed the LACK of CARE and PASSION for the once well respected lodge.

- christopher (1/5): Stay away from Holiday Lodge - Nothing AC was noisy, floor was dirty, some outlets did not work, coffee maker leaked. Furniture was cheap and broken. Water temp inconsistent. Basically, it's a dump. Not worth staying here at any price.
- Powers (5/5): - The ice machine worked well, the pool was open, wifi worked great, A/C and TV worked. The bed was uncomfortable, there's a note about a dirty towel fee with no provided bath mat on dirty floors (almost like a set up), the location is a hot spot for drug activity

- Caroline (2/5): The WORST HOTEL EVER!!!’ - This was the filthiest most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I do not recommended anyone ever staying here!! They also charged me $60 weeks after I stayed there and I called them about it they just hung up on me and will not answer the phone now!! They are criminal!!!
- Joseph (8/5): Has good location, AC and fridge, so worked fine for my 3-day stay during the bluegrass festival. - Holiday Lodge is an older motel located very close to the freeway, about 0.7 miles from Grass Valley. It's clean but spartan. The staff are polite if needed. Old place with working facilities but no bells and whistles. Has AC and fridge, so worked fine for my 3-day stay during the bluegrass festival weekend.

- Elaine (7/5): Good - The location was great. The town of Grass Valley is quaint. A designated pet area would have been great. The morel is per friendly but it is mostly asphalt which makes it difficult to find a place for pets to relieve themselves. When booking there is no way to let the hotel know you have a oet.

- Cookie (1/5): Bad - When we arrived we were hit a unexpected deposit of $400 on the worst room I've ever seen in my entire life who was so too poorly disgusting smell like so many puked on the floor with a big stain and there was noise all night sounded like animal sounds being next door it was the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel and the staff for the poorly rude unmotivated and they were wearing clothes that were so disgusting and they smell like they vomited all over themselves like booze Unexpected deposits the portable conditions and staff was rude and smelled like alcohol And the linen was undirty and I was on thought I saw a bed bugs on the mattress and bodily fluid stains and blood on the mattress When I would ask for a refund after we didn't stay they kept our money and our deposit

- Pamela (7/5): The stay weas short, comfortable and fine. - The room was very clean. The outlet next to the coffee pot did not work. The shampoo and rise were full of water instead of the product. The office did replace them. I'm sure it was a prank from a previous traveler. The woman at the front desk was pleasant but, I know, she didn't understand most of what I said.

- Giacomelli (1/5): Bad - I drove over 4 hours and they didn't have my reservation or a room available for me even though I had a confirmation number from Booking.com. The staff was not friendly and appeared not to care about the situation. I was forced to go to a more expensive hotel and was lucky to find it as it was Father's Day and graduation weekend. I will never book here again!!!!
- Rachel (1/5): Bad - I didn’t get to stay. I am shocked by this businesses ethics. I booked a room at Holiday Lodge, Friday the 13th when I showed up they told me they did not have a room available. I emailed booking.com and reached out to customer service for a refund. I emailed three or four times and never heard a response and on Monday got an email asking how my stay was. I called booking.com, they contacted Holiday Lodge, who said I never showed up. They were not gonna give me a refund and holiday Lodge was lying straight to my face. So I called Holiday Lodge and I called them out. I asked them why they were telling Bookings.com that I never showed up when I was there at 6 o’clock in the evening. They pretended like they didn’t know what I was talking about even they had just gotten off the phone with bookings.com. After talking to them for a while, they agreed to give me a refund which proves they were lying. I called bookings.com back and they called Holiday Lodge again and they wouldn’t answer the phone!!!! Mind you I had just gotten off the phone with them. Bookings.com decided to give me a refund because it became obvious the family that runs the business are lying cheats.

- Valerie (10/5): Comfy one night stay for concert in Grass Valley - Fridge, microwave, allows dogs, pool Didn't like paying extra for my dog. Prefer paying a dog deposit thats returned if there's no damage or extra cleaning needed due to the dog.
