Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property could use a paint job outside and fix the back ramp has we could not use ti to go into the back door. Other than that it was very clean which is the main issue for me when staying at a place. The bed was very comfy and made every day along with new bath accessories.. The only problem we had was the TV was not working on Friday (we arrived later that evening to late to call then) so had to wait until Saturday to call to get it looked at, It was checked and was informed it was not working so was asked to move to another location (next door to a one-bedroom apartment) which we did not mind doing. That place was just as clean and had a much bigger working TV which pleased my husband very much. Except for the not working TV we had an enjoyable experience and will recommend these places as ones you must stay at when looking for a place in Pictou.
- Kelly (10/5): Excellent stay - They were so helpful hurricane Dorian passed thru so no power anywhere however they gave me the cottage to stay in for the same price as it had power wonderful people there
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was confusing that there was one location (motel) to pick up key then verbal directions on how to get to the place where the room was.
Upon arrival and seeing the exterior our immediate reaction was " no thanks". It was on old somewhat run down tenement house. With two rooms in front.
The room had a good bed , was reasonably clean , No air conditioning. but was certainly a small step up from the shabby exterior.
The exterior porch area contained three out dioor chairs. One was due for it's bi-yearly cleaning. The other two would have felt more at home in a dumpster. Most owners take pride in their properties. Some however take pride in squeezing the most profit while spending the least. On that criteria I would have to rate him 5 out of 5
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Central to town. There wasn't anything I disliked about it
- Pierre (10/5): - Tout parfait, on nous a surclasse, la chambre très bien mais le stationnement en gravier pour les motos c'est moins evident
- NJ (6/5): - Arrived late at night in the dark rain.
Found it difficult to figure out where our room was.
There was some mis-information with where to pick up the key
- Brenda (6/5): - pulled up address into gps. When we get there , there isn,t an office. Had to call and find out where to go. Had to go back into town. We were able to get a better room for the inconveience so we didin;t have to drive back into town
- LIllian Carol (2/5): Hot, no air, no coffee maker/kettle nice view - Had to leave early, room had no air just windows that open, as we were right at street level not a good idea..when we arrived room was 72F in morning 75F and day was predicted to be humid and hot..room opposite had air conditioner...Corry at the office was very helpful, when contacted after check in was going to speak to the Manager about an aiconditioner (that should have been there but was removed)..when I went to the checkin office next day to state very hot problem she quickly refunded next day payment.
- Terry (10/5): Very comfortable and homey - We had booked a room in one of their many properties in the city, but there was a snafu with the booking and, despite it being not their fault, we were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment in a renovated old house near the town center. Very comfortable! Also include a Jacuzzi - very nice! We got one of the best night's sleep of our trip. Too bad it was just a stopover.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Quaint and quiet - Didn't know most shops and restaurants were closed for the season. Only 3 restaurants in business. For sale signs all over.
We were the only ones in our business.
- Conor (6/5): Comfy converted house with easy access to PE ferry - We stayed in a house converted to a hotel room. Had a full functioning kitchen which was perfect to make dinner for ourselves. The room also had satellite which offered a wide selection of options to watch after an exhausting day out. The room was short linens for the pull out couch, but the management was very quick to drive it over and make it right. Easy access to an early Northumberland Ferry ride to PEI meant we keep sleep in a little more and still be on top for our boat.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Only thing going for it was "view". - We stayed at the 134 Water street location at it was not a great way to start our family vacation. While the place was spacious, it was filled with bugs at every turn. Bugs in the tub, ants on the floor and bugs on the bed coming through the air condition and spitting them onto the bed. Gross. Very old, which is not an issue, if it were well kept and clean. Keep in mind that there is no onsite front desk and minimal housekeeping. Wouldn't not recommend this inn at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location and zoom, upgraded and comfotable - They should have some instructions in the room for TV, wifi and checkout
