Guest Reviews
- Steve (10/5): - The property was very nice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Didn’t get to stay, called me less than an hour before stay and said a water main burst. Asked attendant if she had to call about any other cancellations, to which she responded no. So some how only my room was affected by “water damage”
- kevin (8/5): too expensive for the value - rooms just fine for overnight stay staff not overly friendly but not unfriendly strange thing they parked their cars under the entry cover so we had to park and walk back to the main entry very different no breakfast until after 7 am and not a real breakfast like you expect
- Scott (2/5): - I had pour WiFi on an unsecured network that got hacked and I’m having issues recovering. When I spoke to the front desk they acted as though I was doing something incorrect. All but one desk attendant seemed as tho they were avoiding customers or smoking, it was the most inconvenient study I’ve had in a while.
- Nieshail (4/5): Upset guest/ex employee - The carpet is stained there were roaches crawling elevator was dirty stained sheets and towels etc
- Verified traveler (4/5): NEVER STAYING AGAIN - Ice machines on floors broken - Laundry Broken- had to pay $12 for hotel staff to wash 1 load - they cahrged me $250. for 10 stained towels. (child got sick vomited ) walked into room 2 minutes later , son sat on end of bed towards TV the entire BED FRAME BROKE - wood pc broke from frame.
WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!
- Jeremy (10/5): - Other than laundry and the evening employee was great. She was pretty and seems to enjoy her job. Very nice and professional
- Ellishea (10/5): - Nice staff
- RUT (10/5): - The property was very quiet and my family was able to get the much needed rest we were hoping for. The property had everything we needed and loved the breakfast. The staff was help and accommodated all my requests. Thank you!
- Sarah (6/5): Replace your pull out beds mattresses! - The beds were fine. The room was fine. The bathroom needed some work. The shower curtain rod looked like it was about to fall off. The pull out bed was TERRIBLE. You can feel every single spring. The couch and chair had seen better days. The room was a bit drafty as well. Breakfast was good. Service was fine. The lobby was pristine. Only one luggage cart for the entire hotel which is really inconvenient.
- Jami (10/5): - My family and had a great time
- christopher (10/5): - Very nice place with great staff and good breakfast
- 418blessedb (10/5): Always a great experience! - Everyone was great! Room was nice and clean and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Every time I come to Muskogee I stay here. Their pool is indoor and heated which is great for the kiddos! See you all again soon! Happy New year to everyone at Best Western Plus in Muskogee!!!
- Sarah (6/5): - The lobby of this hotel is very nice, the breakfast was decent but the walls are absolutely paper thin. You can hear everything. It definitely feels like an older hotel when you get to the room. The bathroom door didn’t latch and we had to go back downstairs to ask for linens for the pull out couch. The queen room with pull out couch was spacious though, which was nice for a family of 6. I just thought this hotel was average.
- Rex (4/5): - The room smelled like urine. I was told "sorry" by the desk clerk.
- johnstonn2024 (2/5): Bed bugs and gaslighting management, avoid this dump. - This place has a big bed bug problem. Checked in 12/18/24 to room 210, found bed bug feces on the mattress corners, eggs and molts under the headboard. We have video and photos of live bugs under the headboard.
Night staff wasn't at all surprised, replacement room also had bugs.
Checked out that night and went to the Holiday Inn across the street. I called the GM Brandi Hathcoat, who assured us she "inspected the rooms and didn't find anything." She offered no resolution or even apology for the inconvenience.
This place is an embarrassment to Best Westerns everywhere.
- Mai Tong (10/5): - Place was clean and roomy.
- Krissy (8/5): - The alarm clock was 2 hours behind. Pillows small.
- James (8/5): - Clean and comfortable
- Ron (8/5): Had a good night's sleep - There were some things I didn't like here, but there is always something not satisfactory. What I did like a lot was the main things I need a hotel for. We had comfortable beds, good pillows, good shower, and a good breakfast. Everything else is secondary. Would stay here again.
- johnad181 (6/5): ThinkElsewhere - This hotel is highly rated, and I'm not sure why. The lobby is beautifully decorated, but our room needed a remodel. The walls were dinged, & the furniture was old and marred. It was not what you expect. Breakfast was standard. The front desk clerk was very helpful to us, because both of us have mobility issues.
- Kevin (4/5): Not so good. - Floor under the sofa bed was not cleaned. Sofa bed frame was broken. Sofa bed mattress had holes in it. Giant crack in the room window
- Valerie (2/5): - Night clerk was very nice and tried to be supportive.
- Dan (4/5): Not Ever Again - When we got to the hotel we was informed that the elevator wasn't working so they put us in a first floor room as I am moblility limited which I appreciated, but the room I got was right under the stairs so it was stomp stomp stomp all night. Then next morning we had housekeeping entering the room when my wife was changing clothes at 8:30 AM. The room was clean and the bed was nice. Breakfast was very good for a hotel. But at this price point there are MUCH better hotels in Muskogee to stay at.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Elevator didn’t work
- Tara (4/5): - When I walked in to the hotel I heard loud noises but thought someone was watching a tv. When I made it to the front desk I quickly realized there was a fight going on with a lot of yelling and screaming. I had my two children hide in the food pantry by the front desk and call their father while I stood out of it making sure they didn’t come near my children. The front desk woman tried very hard to get control of the situation and apologized a lot. I did have to question if the hotel was safe as I was hearing a lot of threats and yelling. Again, the front desk worker was trying her hardest and ended up calling the police who responded somewhat quickly. The situation is unfortunate and my children didn’t want to leave the room they were quite scared. I am not positive we will try staying here again.
- Rebecca (4/5): - We got there to check in & they gave us the key card, we up to the room and it hadn't even been made ready. So they moved us to 2nd floor room and it wasnt ready. So we had to leave and go to the store for 30 minutes so the maid could get it ready. We didn't get offered a discount or anything. 🙄 We get back and it didn't look vacuumed, it smelled like sour mop stink. The maids were inadequate to say the least. That smell lingered for 2-3 hrs. The water pressure was horrible and the shower head was awful. Sink barely drained. There was mold around tub caulking. The elevators weren't working at all. I will never stay there again, and would not recommend it. For what i paid we deserved better. The only thing decent was the breakfast.
- Shalana (10/5): - Peaceful and safe and quiet I slept so good I didn’t want to get up
- Dan (10/5): - Just visiting family
- Jackie (10/5): - Nice, clean.
- crystal (4/5): - Room was not in the best condition. Dirty floors. Coffee maker was in the bathroom? Gross. Door and tables look like they had water damage. We were asked about house keeping at 10 am when check out was noon. Beds were hard, sheets thin.. Just not an appealing room. Heater smelt wierd when turned on. Not a fan, sorry.
- Karl (6/5): - I stay here once a year.
- Jamie (6/5): - The front desk staff was efficient and friendly. The elevator was broken and we were on the 2nd floor. The lamp in our room was old and looked and like it was not clean.
- Ed (2/5): - The pool was nice. Good fitness facility.
I asked twice for light bulbs in the lamps in my room, and stated that my tub drain backed up water as I showered. No bulbs replaced, no drain maintenance for my 4-day stay. Lamps were rusted, as though they had been a flood. This was the main lighting in the room—very poor.
- Amber (4/5): - Not very clean, bathroom had mold, walls not clean, curtains very dirty, hair on both beds/bedding,elevator broke . Front desk was nice and apologetic about elevator.
- Royal (6/5): Bad house keeping - Nice hotel. Did not have shampoo. Had conditioner and body lotion. Ask for room to be serviced it had towels replaced but no coffee for the in room coffee pot the bed was not made.put in creamer and sugar with stir stick but no coffee I guess 1podfor two days and to guest was more than they could offer.
- Mary (2/5): - Grounds were great and common areas, staff. What i did not like was out of order things, like ice maker on floor, laundry room was not working, elevator not working the last three days of my stay!
- Jacklyn (2/5): Not a very positive stay. - This has to be one of the worst stay. After checking in - a couple of hours later - the elevator went down. It did not get fixed by the time we checked out - the following day. We had a lot of bags to load into the cars. So it was quite an exercise going up and down the staircase. If I was given the ground level room as I have requested - several weeks earlier when I booked this stay - it would not have Ben so taxing.
- Sofia (10/5): - Amazing staff and rooms are spotless
- Carlos (10/5): - Very clean, big coffee cups, plenty of pillows
- N1045JVrenees (10/5): #1 hotel in Muskogee - I had a business meeting, I arrived late to hotel and the lady at desk Renea (had to ask her name) checked me in. She went above and beyond, very nice lady. Easy check-in and very good breakfast in morning I give this hotel a 10 out of 10. Met brandy the manager the next day. She made time to ask me how my stay was, I told her great. Will definitely tell my company any time we have meetings to stay at Best Western Muskogee. Great service and great rates.
- kaysS8622KL (2/5): Mystery door 🚪 # 301 - DO NOT get room 301 …The door will not shut unless you use a special technique…it’s awful to think the door is shut..you come back to your room an it’s NOT with all of your personal belongings in it …an the bad part about it is the manager knew that door would not shut in that room an never tried to move me to another room …this is after paying the price to rent the conference room an 2 hotel rooms …thumbs down all the way
- Robert (4/5): - After checking in we went to our room. The carpets in the hallways and the room were dirty as if they are not vacuumed regularly. The room had a chair that was broken and when looking in the closet for bedding for the pullout, the door fell off, and no bedding. The staff gave us another comparable room. It was worse. The couch had a large red stain on it and was ripped in multiple spots. The third room was acceptable for the night as it was too late to cancel. However, we immediately canceled the remaining nights and left for other accommodations. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were very nice, understanding, and very apologetic.
- Julia (10/5): - Very clean, friendly staff
- Joseph (10/5): - Nice property,
- A7421AVglendar (10/5): Love Best Western - Very happy with my stay, Brandi checked us in and was very helpful, later that evening we needed a blanket so went to front desk and Renee assisted us she is very friendly . All the staff we have been in contact with was very nice. Brandi and Renee stood out the most they are both very helpful and very nice, Thank you ladies
- Z3282HSryanp (10/5): Keep up the good work - I really enjoyed my time while i was there. The lady that checked us in was wonderful i think her name was Renee. I will be back next year for sure. Rooms were clean Cody did a great job checking us out. I will only visit this hotel when i come back to Muskogee. Everything from the atmosphere to breakfast was great
- nelliew226 (10/5): Much needed rest and kindness - We were having such a difficult trip, getting to a relatives memorial service.. The Kids and just bad luck were really starting to get stressful. We met Brandi and she did everything she could to make everything convenient and accommodating as possible. Great staff and so helpful.
- P9440VSajm (10/5): Wonderful! - Everyone was absolutely wonderful! Renee, Cody, Abby and Brandi were fantastic! The breakfast was fresh and hot and the indoor pool was nice and warm. This will be my go to place when I am in town. The hotel was super easy to find too! Couldn’t beat the price either.
- N3388ZKcindyp (10/5): Best Hotel in Muskogee - Best Western Plus is the best place to go. Friendly staff and also the manager Brandi is great too. I love the variety of breakfast. Rosa does a great job making sure it never runs out even when it is crazy busy. My favorite front desk staff is Renee which recently found out she is working there again. All the ladies at the desk are great though
- Angia (10/5): - Property & accommodations older and slightly damaged. Overall it was a value.
- P8461UTrenees (10/5): Great Hotel! - AMAZING STAFF, Renee took care of all of our needs and answered any questions we had. The rooms were clean and the breakfast is great. Will definitely be returning when we come back to Muskogee. Highly recommend great service and great price
- Dreamer608021 (2/5): Worst experience ever false charges on my card! - Take pictures of your room if traveling with kids, they lied and said mine was dirty and I cleaned it before checking out charged my card $300 for my grandchildren touching the sheets with spaghetti sauce on their hands. We had been to the pool so we ordered dinner from Olive Garden because my grandson wanted it for his birthday dinner. Oh and my 2 year old grandson wasted juice so they charged me $50 for ja juice stained towel. I guess I should have called the front desk to have them clean it up at 9pm. The Manager said she had pictures of the room, all lies… I know they don’t pay $150 for sheets! I could have showed them how to wash the sheets and get the sauce out, we eat spaghetti often. Never had such an experience as such in my 50 years of living, but the lies and unprofessional will not go unnoticed God will take care of Brandi! I have 6 grandchildren and a house of 10 and the kids were loving the pool. But never again! I promise the room was not trashed … she will held unaccountable for her lies and strealing money from my household.
- Roberta (8/5): - Nice room. Towels were really thin. Pillows were small.
- Alan (10/5): - The front desk personnel was excellent, A
- Zekrullah (2/5): - It was dirty, I asked for vacuum cleaner and I tried to clean my room but the vacuum cleaner was dirty too. So checked out in an hour.
- 940melodyt (10/5): Girls trip - The bed and pillows were so comfortable, the room was nice and dark as well as the air worked well. I felt very welcomed from the moment I walked in
The staff was very friendly and even checked on us to see . Conveniently located to many different places. We stayed there and went to Lake Eufaula and as well as Robbers Cave
- Michael (8/5): - Quiet, decent choices for breakfast.
- Tommy (10/5): - Great stay
- Markie (6/5): - The staff was super friendly. We had a suite room specifically for the sofa bed for our son. When we arrived we didn't have any blankets for the sofa bed (which was grossly stained) so I went downstairs to get some. They didn't have anymore pillow cases so we got just one plain pillow, and we didn't get a blanket on our king size bed (just 2 sheets). I know you get what you pay for but sheesh.
- robertnO5165RT (2/5): moldy rooms - First room we checked in on Thursday was not even the correct room, it had a chair instead of a pull out couch that we ordered. Second room we were put in seemed ok at first and my daughter and I went down to swim. When we got back to get ready for bed we found a plate filled with mold under the couch cushion. The toilet was also leaking on the floor and the ottoman was broken and wouldn't roll very easily. We were moved to another room. Halfway between moving I look around and find mold on the ottoman and lampshades. I go back to the first floor to request another room. We were moved finally to a room that seemed ok but on the morning of our departure I almost fell off the toilet when the whole toilet seat just broke off. My husband called corporate that Thursday evening to complain. They said he would be contacted on Friday to work out a resolution. We weren't contacted until Saturday. They were very apologetic and said they were going to apply a discount to our current stay and any future stays as an apology. We paid about 400 dollars for 3 nights and they refunded 22 dollars. We are very disappointed, disgusted, and angry with the service and hotel itself. The last time we stayed there almost a year ago the entire second floor was flooded from a massive water leak.
- David (8/5): - It is what is. Clean , hot water, good pressure, nice beds, cool pool, close to everything.
- Jose (10/5): - ?
- Alisa (2/5): - .My husband and I traveled from Kansas City to Muskogee to celebrate my dad's birthday and anniversary. We arrived on Saturday morning August 24th with a two day reservation at the Best Western located at 2701Military Blvd. As we checked Into our room and started to get situated my i notice there was a stain on the bed, then I went into the bathroom and there was a used condom in the trash can. Also, one of the packages of soap had been opened not a good look at all. Unpleasant Stay/ Experience.
- Tommy (10/5): - Very convenient right off 69 and staff was great and breakfast bar was pretty good
- Kim (4/5): - Check in was fine. The lady was really nice. We got to the room and it didn’t feel clean. There were stains all over the bed covers and pillow cases. The carpet…….lets just say I would not walk barefoot. No one tells you that the air conditioner control on the wall has to be set same as the unit by the window until you call and complain that the room was not cooling off. We also had a roach crawl across the wall. Muskogee is the half way point for my best friend and I to meet up to do things. We will be staying in another hotel next time. Location is convenient to everything.
- dvalfoster (6/5): Just okay - Paid 110 total for the night.
It didn’t have enough towels in the bathroom. It was cramped.
Mildew around the tub area.
We did not have all the toiletries.
The sheets and bedding were worn. One comforter had a blue stain. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable thing.
Advertised free breakfast.
- John (8/5): - Just a nice Hotel
- Aaliyah (8/5): - N/a
- Jasmyn (8/5): - It was a great experience! The staff were all helpful and super nice! Only thing was our room smelt pretty musty and felt super humid and wet. Other than that we were well pleased with our stay! The parking lot is well lit so we felt safe and secured! Would recommend!
- Itsmenow2012 (4/5): Has Been Facility. Move on - This property needs many upgrades. It is past its prime. Moldy smelling rooms. Furniture in the room you sink into rather than sit on. Bathrooms not well maintained. Closet doors off the tracks. Don’t stay here unless you want to meet nice people behind the desk. The sincerity of staff is fabulous but what can they do when the facility is dilapidated ?
- Amber (8/5): - I was worried due to reviews but it was very clean. The lobby is cute and breakfast is good. They are short staffed and low on towels. Rooms need maintained better on furniture it’s okay for quick nights stay or two. They should do some updates to tho gs like lamp shades , bottom of mirror rusted furniture scratched. But overall okay.
- Kelsey (4/5): - Room was musty and floors were damp.
Air was horrible, should have gone down to front desk to swap rooms but the front desk person was overly helpful and treated me like I didn’t know how to read the prompts on the check in screen when I checked in.
A day later I’m now sick from this room and will not be staying again.
Bed was at least clean but not the most comfortable and room was very worn
- Verified traveler (6/5): Unclean but a deal is a deal - Lobby looked nice so at first glance the place seemed nice. The girl at the front desk was very pleasant and checked me in quickly for my 2 night stay.
My room looked nice at first but when I went to take off my shoes I noticed that the carpet was very dirty and didn't seem to have been vacuumed in a very long time. There were toenail clippings on the floor between the beds and what I hoped was a beard hair in plain sight. Toenails everywhere and dead grass tracked all over. Needless to say I kept my socks on.
When I headed out for dinner that evening I stopped at the front desk and asked the clerk if they could send someone up to vacuum at their earliest convenience. He said, "Yes, I need to write it down because if I don't write it down it won't get done." So he grabbed a notepad and wrote 'Vacuum- #2**' for housekeeping.
Shower was nice with good water pressure. There were 2 bottles of conditioner on the counter and no shampoo. Toilet made weird noises while refilling.
I had breakfast in the morning and was actually pleased with the selection and offering of biscuits and gravy.
Right before I headed out for work I heard the cleaning crew in the room next door vacuuming so I had high hopes that my room would be cleaned as well.
I came back late that evening to my bed made, trash emptied and still the same toenails on the floor. Floor never got vacuumed during my entire stay even after specifically asking for it. I'll be staying elsewhere on my next visit to Muskogee.
- Jonathan (8/5): - Room needs updating
- Joseph (10/5): - It was nice and quiet. Easy to get to the hwy. And shopping
- Sara (8/5): - Kids had a blast at the pool!
- Marianne (8/5): - The AC was great! Room cool when we entered. The breakfast had good tasty options👍. Things that we missed - tissue box empty, no shampoo, no cups in the room, no bath floor mat/towel provided
Location was quiet. Sleep well.
- Christina (10/5): - My room was very clean, quiet, bed was very comfortable. Service was great. Breakfast was hot and delicious
- Yadniel (10/5): - Nice hotel. In a convenience area for one night. Room have a good space, clean and the breakfast was aceptable.
- Justin (10/5): - Cleanliness
- Rebecca (8/5): - It needs some updates. The lamp shades are broken and the ice machine didn't work. It is very clean and breakfast was good.
- James (6/5): - Basic property, rooms were a bit dated and worn, staff was helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not what I was expecting :( - Curtain in our room had mold as well as the bathroom door was falling apart. Even with the air turned down our room was hot all night unless the air was running at that time. Had 3 people staying but only was given two towels and no hand towels or washcloths. Also if you go be sure to bring your own toiletries. This was the first time I didn’t pack any because we were only staying overnight and I was going to use what they normally supply but we weren’t given any. Was not what I was expecting. Area did seem nice though!
- Brenda (4/5): - Booked bc of pool. Arrived pool shut down. Disappointed kids.
- Jenna (2/5): - Our room reeked of mildew. The bathroom exhaust fan had about a half inch of brown dust coating the vent. The paint was peeling, We asked for our room to be made up the second day, it wasn’t touched. We asked again if it could be made up the 3rd day, the person at the front desk told us “hopefully” it would be done. It was cleaned that day, but not the beds. The ice machine tricked water out onto the floor leaving a wet, rusty, water puddle beneath. Spend the extra 20/day and use another property if you value hospitality. Photos are deceiving and must have been taken many years ago.
- Kathy (6/5): - Satisfactory. Great for a place to sleep one night.
- Josh (2/5): - First room smelled like a musty basement and had water coming up from between the tiles. 2nd room smelled better but the room was in disrepair. Loose tiles in the floor. Only 2 towels provided for 4 guests no shampoo provided. Everything seemed dirty and not well cleaned. Would not stay here again.
- Christina (10/5): - My room was very clean, quiet, bed was very comfortable. Service was great. Breakfast was hot and delicious
- Jeremiah (6/5): Decent hotel on downhill slide - Hotel is OK. No crazy cleanliness issues or bugs. Bed is comfy enough, but the little half pillows are weird and not great.
Biggest issue is that the whole hotel shows signs of neglect. Maintenance work is not kept up. Paint is peeling in corners, tub chipped and not fixed, only one ice machine still works, and it is leaking rust onto the floor (from the legs - Ice was good).
Breakfast was OK. Not all of the usual options for a hotel in this price point, but enough that you didn’t have to go hungry.
It still gets 3 starts because the staff was nice and it was clean.
- meller38 (4/5): My family won’t let me pick hotels after this one 😂 - Im no longer allowed to pick the hotel after this one. apparently having a coffee maker next to the toilet is nasty. To me it just shouts convenience. Plus they threw in a free pair of socks and a free piece of candy. #winning The hotel is also environmentally friendly they don’t waste resources on plastic outlet covers. Our ac unit has a very industrial look, you can see all the wires and everything. Very artsy. And check out these super cute mini pillows. Who needs all that extra room for comfort when you have just enough space for your head. #adorable 😂 they don’t like you to be too warm, so they didn’t even provide a comforter on the bed just a thin sheet. #cuddleforwarmth no towels in our room either. Only half cleaned room to remind you of home. Mentioned it to front desk that night, while she was super nice didn’t really seem to care. Same with the guy at check out the next morning, although he seemed a little more appalled that they let us check into a half cleaned room. Oh I forgot to mention the random trash left on the tables.
- Jerry (10/5): - General property is OK but the toilet seat in room 121 is broken and does not work. Please fix it.
- DB67154 (4/5): Double booked our room - We were alarmed to hear our door open at 11:30 p.m. Someone else had been assigned our room, and given a key card to open our door. Needless to say, this was not acceptable.
- Jamie (4/5): WTH smoke, bad AC, say it ain’t sooooo - Normally it’s not bad… I checked in and my room smelled HORRIBLE! It smelled of so much smoke I couldn’t handle it at all! Reservationist was great, got me in another room. But the AC would only go down to 68… ok that’s great for some people but it was to me. Then there were cobwebs on the ceiling and the corners and it looked like the room I was moved kb til hadn’t been used in a while… But at least it didn’t smell like smoke
- angielovelace65 (2/5): never stay again - My experience here was not very good at all. Their staff wasn't train well. The manager, it wasn't trained. But you may see if they was going to charge as one thing towards another. We went for family union, so we had a discount. They charge this record rate. Then they said they're gonna fix it. Never fixed it the breakfast. Only 1 type of meat Don't volume just when organize at all. For big family unition been more prepared a multina
- Ellishea (10/5): - Employees were nice and very hospitable.
- Brenda (4/5): - Older hotel that has not been kept up very well. Lobby area as pretty nice but rooms were older and carpet dingy. Beds were pretty comfortable but pillows were horrible. Shower had no water pressure. Just overall experience was not the best.
- Jennifer (10/5): Clean and friendly - The front desk employee at check in was the absolute sweetest and very helpful. The mid century decor is so well put together.
Our only complaint was the pull out couch. The mattress was nothing but springs and unacceptable for a child to have to sleep on. We purposely booked a room with a pull out couch since we have two kiddos with us.
- Hong (4/5): - smell moldy
- Cortney (4/5): - The hotel rooms were very dated and run down looking. The rooms smelled of mildew. The breakfast was good. There were plenty of dining options nearby.
