- Brandy (3/5): Used to be a nice hotel. - Good location, nice pool, good breakfast. The carpet in the rooms are very old and dirty. The bathrooms were very gross with dead bugs in the corners and fruit flies all in the drains. The AC was leaking on our floor and the room smelled very moldy. The beds are rock hard and the bedding hasn’t been updated in 15 years.

- Kelly (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay at the property . My dad lives in the area and will use this hotel for our next visit. - The property was clean and well kept. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio and picnic tables . Breakfast options could have been better.

Overall great stay The issue my family and I have is the beds were uncomfortable and worn out. It's time to replace the mattresses in rooms #209 and #211.

Asked for rooms on same floor ie across from each other, etc. First told us he's canceling and we can leave multiple times, wife came and whispered to him, and we got rooms on same floor 5 rooms apart. We wouldn't had anywhere decent to stay in that area. Again, receptionist was HORRIBLE. Full breakfast missing fruit, single milk cartons (had to pour from gallon), yogurt, toast, bagels, etc. There were waffles, sausage, eggs, dry cereal and juice/coffee. Everything else

- Ronald (6/5): - Positive: Hotel staff were friendly and helpful and room was clean. Negative: TV had to be reprogrammed to view. There was an almost empty roll of toilet paper and no backup in room. Closet door fell off wall when opening it. Breakfast was very bland.

- Joshua (2/5): - Worst hotel I've ever "stayed" at. It took 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check in. On the way to the room, there were dead roaches in the hallway. The mini fridge in the room did not work. The mattress was hard coil springs that was flat on one side. After I complained to the front desk, they just gave me my receipt and said I could leave but would still be charged full rate.

- Darren (1/5): Will NEVER GO BACK JUST BECAUSE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE FRONT DESK GUY - The front desk guy needs to learn customer service, we were there for a wedding and got there (FROM OUT OF TOWN ) around 1pm the wedding started at 2 pm , the rooms were already ready they needed to do nothing to get us in there was no customers around and he CHARGED US 30.00 Extra dollars to check in ( TO CHANGE CLOTHES AND LEAVE TO OUR WEDDING) I even ask him are you serious ? The room was already ready to me you will NEVER HAVE US BACK THERE and we come to Halletsville a lot for dove hunting we thought we would try this hotel because it was the nicer one in town BUT YOU GOT A ONE AND DONE CUSTOMER WE EILL NEVER GO BACK . The guy at the desk has the personality of a rock with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL . We own our own business and if my employee treated my customer like he treated us they wouldn’t work for us ever again . I HAVE NEVER EVER IN MY 64 YEARS OF LIFE WRITTEN A REVIEW GOOD OR BAD I JUST LET LIFE BE AS IT IS . I CANNOT BELIEVE SOMEONE WOULD CHARGE AN OUT OF TOWN CUSTOMER 30.00’EXTRA TO CHANGE CLOTHES AND LEAVE WHEN YOU HAD TO DO NOTHING EXTRA TO ACCOMMODATE THE CUSTOMER.
- Norbert (8/5): All in all this is a good place to stay. close to everything. - Breakfast was good. Better than what we expected. Room was comfortable. No bath soap in shower. Two shampoo's and a conditioner. Sink has the soap dispensers mislabeled... hand soap and hand lotion... mislabeled.

- alexander (4/5): - We chose this hotel because we were visiting the Shiner brewery that was about 18 miles away and there was a big selection of hotels with hot tubs and a pool, main reason for staying here. When we arrived the employee informed me the hot tub and pull were not functioning and would be looked at 3 days later. The room was humid and did not cool past 72, which was uncomfortable and warm. Overall we made the best of an otherwise uncomfortable stay. They do have a decent patio and sitting area on the outside of the hotel and the area was quiet.

The room came with breakfast. He told us they would make our breakfast to order. In the morning no one was around. The breakfast room was dark. I turned on the lights and got my coffee. I waited on my husband about 30 minutes and no one (employee) ever showed up. When I husband came down still no one at the desk or breakfast room. Needless to say, no breakfast. We left our keys on the counter and left.
- mary (6/5): Beautiful building, furnishings and outdoor area. - Beautiful stone building with unique upscale furnishings. Very comfortable setting with trees, large outdoor grill area and pool. We were easily accommodated with an early check in. Unfortunately the experience was cancelled out by the arrival of guests above us at 1:30 AM who banged around and loudly partied until 5 AM.

- DENA (10/5): - Great Texas feel. Clean room and friendly helpful staff. Driving all day and all we wanted was a comfortable and clean facility. This is the place. Mexican restaurant recommended within walking distance was really good! We would stay here again
- Deborah (6/5): - Front desk area was nice, clean, and welcoming, the home was nice, the breakfast was adequate, potatoes/eggs were gross, sausage/waffles was good. The tables were not cleaned the person taking care didn't show her face the whole time we were there, didn't refill, I saw her come out as we checked out right before breakfast was over. What really upset me was the fact that Hotels noted special fees for non-service dogs of $15 per pet, per stayonly, but the hotel when I checked in said that they had a weight policy over 15 pounds was $30 per pet. I wasn't able to argue with him because I didn't have the info on hand from Hotels.com. once of the reasons I picked this hotel was because others had a weight limit and they didn't. When I confronted them about the fact that this information wasn't on the fees noted on the booking sight, I was told there was nothing they could do about it. Also, when we went down for breakfast my husband ask the front desk about it, he said it was an unwritten policy, that is not right. They should honor what is on the sight (because that is what people base they're decisions on) and the fact that the can't proof it in writing, makes me believe they make things up as they go.

The only thing was how hard the bed was, not my cup of tea but everything else was clean and the AC was wonderful, breakfast was also super tasty! If im ever in the area id happily stay again.
