- Gregory (8/5): Overall good experience in a beautiful setting. Room unnecessarily dark. - The courtyard is absolutely beautiful and definitely gave us the overall riad experience we wanted . Dinner in the courtyard was very nice. Staff were pleasant. They offered an early breakfast for our departure day, which we appreciated, but unfortunately nothing was ready for the scheduled time, which meant we needed to rush through it so that we could take our taxi to the airport. Our ground floor room was VERY dark. It was beautiful from what we could see when the door to the courtyard was open. Our enhanced photos also revealed what the room actually looked like. We know that riad rooms are traditionally dark, but more effective lights when wanted would have enhanced our stay. Our regular breakfast was okay. It wasn’t obvious why people rave about it other than the beautiful setting.

- Bengisu (9/5): Very pleasant stay - The Riad has a beautiful courtyard, where you get your breakfast and we had a very spacious room. The location is in walking distance to the Blue gate and other areas of Fes El Bali, however the streets are narrow and quieter in night. during the day you feel safe, ok in the earlu evening if you already did the route. But, the Riad is 2min away from Bab Ziat gate, which is accessible by taxi. Also, the hotel arranges airport transportation, it was more expensive than a usual taxi but convenient. Breakfast was decent. Staff was very helpful. There was sewage smell in bathroom, it was not disturbing during sleep when the bathroom door was closed, but, something that should be improved. Breakfast could have some more varieties.

Instead of 1950s American songs would be more atmospheric to choose local music (oud for example) or Andalusian music. Our room did not have a window to the outside so if fresh air is important, would recommend to ask for room with outside window

He paid attention that my kid liked their croissant, he made sure he gets it everyday despite it's not on the menu. - Location was perfect, close to the main road means it's easy during check in and check out with all the bags. 10 minutes walk to the medina which is an easy walk guided by Google maps. - Nejarine room is at ground floor, it's easy access, clean, doesn't smell and something we look forward coming back daily. - courtyard is really beautiful. Check out the rooftop too! - Breakfast spread is something. - laundry service is extremely fast. Sent a full basket in the morning and it's all ready in the evening.
- Brandi (10/5): Wonderful Riad. - Check-in with a welcome mint tea and very helpful staff. Quiet area of the medina, about a 15-20 minute walk to the Blue Gate and busier areas of the medina. Helpful this riad is close to a different main gate (Bab Ziat) so easy to access taxi's. There are a few restaurants nearby with good food as well. There is a spacious rooftop terrace The main courtyard is beautiful with tropical plants and a resident parrot chirping to add to the ambiance. Dinner at this riad was one of the best meals we had on the trip, very flavorful and well cooked. The breakfast spread was equally as delicious. We had a room tucked into a corner so there was a staircase to the bedroom. Uneven steps could make night trips to the restroom difficult. I was aware of this when booking and liked the style as the bedroom area was very quiet and not facing the courtyard which is what I was looking for when booking.

Just a few minutes' walk from one of the gates, and easily accessible by car, with parking nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast in the beautiful courtyard. A nice rooftop place to sit and have a drink, with good views. Very nice rooms. The medina is a 10-15-minute walk, so the location is practical yet quiet. Bartal means bird; and, sure enough, the parrot in the courtyard was there to accompany us for breakfast.

- Martin (10/5): - Wir waren drei Nächte im Haus. Sehr sauber und sehr gemütliches Zimmer. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und wird im beeindruckenden Innenhof serviert. Der Service war sehr freundlich und angenehm. Man kann den PKW in der Garage nebenan parken und bei der Abfahrt geht ein Mitarbeiter des Riad mit, damit die Garage nicht noch mal kassieren will. Man kann auch unten auf dem großen Parkplatz parken. Achtung, dann kommen aber sofort Kofferträger, die absurde Beträge aufrufen (10€). Dann besser ein Taxi nehmen. Sind vielleicht 700 m.

- Raffaella (10/5): A gem of a place - This place is truly a gem, an oasis of peace amidst the bustling city of Fez. The riad is exquisitely decorated and is filled with charming details. The lush courtyard provides a welcome escape from the city's hustle and bustle, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day exploring the medina. Its convenient location right at the entrance of the city makes it easy to find and access. Our room, named Berber, was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, featuring an additional bed downstairs to accommodate our teenage son. The staff is exceptionally welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. You can expect a prompt response to any inquiries you may have, even prior to your arrival (and I had many!). We had an early check-out, and they graciously offered us breakfast at such an early hour (5:30 AM!), which was a lovely and unexpected gesture. Breakfast is both delicious and abundant, served in the serene courtyard, providing the ideal start to your day. The delightful Poulette enhances the experience with her lovely singing. I will certainly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Fez, and I hope to return one day. Fun fact: the riad is listed in my trusted and loyal Lonely Planet from 20 years ago, when I first visited Morocco (but didn't make it to Fez at the time) and was positively reviewed and highly recommended even back then.

Le calme du patio permet de se relaxer après une journée à arpenter la ville, le toit terrasse est également très agréable. - Ayesha (10/5): Charming riad, fantastic breakfast, and helpful staff - loved our stay here! - Our room was absolutely charming; we loved the artwork on the walls and the stained-glass chandelier. The small dressing room and tiled shower were unexpected but delightful touches. The entire riad is stunning, with intricate tiles and lush, oversized plants filling the courtyard, and ample space for lounging. We loved the wonderful and varied breakfast, and we especially enjoyed the mint tea we ordered each time we returned from the souk. The kitchen staff are talented cooks. Hamza and Hassan were attentive and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, as was Ziat. We loved hearing Poulette’s whistles echoing through the beautiful courtyard. While we didn’t have the chance to spend time on the rooftop, it looked lovely as well. Wish we could have had mint tea or breakfast on the roof.

Sehr groß und wir fanden es noch hübscher und gemütlicher als auf den Fotos. Der Raum in der Mitte des Riads ist ein paradiesischer Ort. Frühstück ist sehr gut, auf Wunsch können noch zusätzliche Speisen bestellt werden. Unbedingt zum Abend in Riad zu essen! Es war einer unsere besten Essen in Marokko! Trotz winterlichen Temperaturen draußen war es überall in Riad warm, auch im Innenhof wo gegessen wird. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich. Hamza hat uns umsorgt und das Gefühl gegeben zuhause zu sein. Auch Fouad aus der Nachtschicht war sehr nett und freundlich. Ray hat in Vorweg alle Fragen beantwortet, Tipps gegeben, Taxi, Massage und deutschsprachigen Stadtführer organisiert. Vielen Dank an alle! -

Recomiendo cenar en el riad algún día porque la calidad de la comida es buena. La amabilidad y buena disposición de los trabajadores, siempre dispuestos a ayudarte y esforzándose por hacer bien su trabajo. Un 10 a los trabajadores :) El desayuno apenas cambia con el paso de los días. Esto, si vas solo un par de días, es aceptable. Pero nosotros desayunamos cuatro días, así que nos pareció un poco repetitivo.

- Patrizia (9/5): Sehr schönes Riad mit äußerst geschmackvollen Zimmern und hervorragender Küche. - Sehr schöner Innenbereich mit vielen Pflanzen. Unser Zimmer war großzügig und sehr elegant eingerichtet, das Frühstück sehr gut und das Abendessen wirklich ausgezeichnet. Das Personal war freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Leider war unser Zimmer vom Vorraum aus nur über eine sehr hohe und steile Treppe zu erreichen, während sich das Badezimmer im unteren Teil befand. Wenn gewünscht wird, dass das Bett gemacht und das Zimmer gereinigt werden soll, muss man dies ausdrücklich bekanntgeben, anderenfalls passiert nichts.

The staff was also very polite and attentive, and pointed us to some local attractions within walking distance of the riad. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Fes.

Quiet and peaceful . - Amazing Riad.. a true architectural gem .. full of rich details . Our room felt like we were staying on something like a palace or one of the museums we had visited . But without the mustiness .. all very fresh and clean . Nice breakfast . Friendly staff . Good location close to one of the city wall doors . We stayed on the ground floor .. I believe our room was called Nejjarine … stunning . We liked everything except that you can get lost easily in the Medina but that happens no matter where you stay . When we used the nearby door to get outside the city walls instead of the interior narrow alleyways we never got lost and a taxi can pick up and drop right there literally a minute walk from the Riad . Also we checked out the rooftop which had nice views and a few couches but the ambiance up there could be improved .
- Not Provided (10/5): Highly recommended - Exquisitely appointed suite (Serrafine) with traditional furniture and modern artworks. Gorgeous tilework, carved doors, carpets. A huge round copper bath you could almost swim in. The service was impeccable, gracious, 24/7. Beautiful communal courtyard where a good substantial breakfast was served. Situated on the edge of the medina in a suburban area, near a "gate" so great access to taxis, short walk to the action of the medina, quiet, safe neighbourhood.

- Pulido (10/5): A MUST when you are in Fes! Best Riad in Morocco - This was my favorite riad of all the 7 I stayed while in Morocco. Everything was impeccable, from the styling of the riad and my room, to the service, to the best food I had and while in Morocco. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by lush greenery all over. There is a lovely parrot who adds to the environment with his lovely song and presence. It is obvious that the owner pays attention to detail. One can tire from the tajin and couscous, but not here! Take it from me and have dinner in the road at least once. The breakfast was traditional only with a twist as it wound change each day and we trying was delicious and homemade. My room was the Berber room and lovely decorated. I was able to do laundry here and it was nice coming “home” after a long day of walking and doing touristy things to see your laundry done and nicely folded. I also cannot speak enough about the service of the gentleman managing the road during the day. I forgot his name but he was exceptional and so patient with me during the frustrating moments of almost missing my tour to Chefchaouen and the misunderstanding with my booking. I cannot thank him enough. Sadly, there was a mistake in my booking. I had booked three nights and the road only had me for two nights. As you can imagine, this would be devastating news for a solo female traveler during high season. There was a lot of back and forth and because they were already booked, the owner found me another lovely road for my third night. Thought I would have preferred my third night here, I was happy that a solution was found. They even took care of my dinner at their road that night. Also know that getting lost in Fes is inevitable! This riad was located on the border of the medina so walking to places seemed a bit far. I found google maps to have the worst service. It will take a couple of moments of getting lost to get used to the landmarks to get to and from the Riad

What stood out the most was the incredibly kind and helpful staff – you feel welcome and well taken care of from the very first moment. The interior courtyard is absolutely beautiful: very tastefully designed, peaceful, and full of charming details – a little oasis in the middle of the city. The rooms are simple but lovingly and thoughtfully decorated, creating a very pleasant and personal atmosphere. The location is also great – about a 10 to 15-minute walk to the old town. Breakfast was sufficient, though a bit too sweet for my taste – probably typical for the region. Still, a nice way to start the day. All in all, highly recommended!

The downstairs courtyard and rooftop terrace were great places to relax and hangout. The location is good - just on the edge of the medina. The staff were amazingly helpful and very professional. We also had dinner one evening and it was very good.

All staff are friendly, have good manner, and are highly professional in hospitality. Breakfast is great, and the dinner worths a Michelin plague. One will never get bored settling into the couches at the rooftop terrace and enjoying the night sky. Lastly, we will miss our little friend, Poulette with her wonderful whistle tunes. None.

The breakfast was lovely and the sweet potato jam was our favourite! The riad was about a 10 minute walk to all the shops. We would stay here again for sure.

Would definitely recommend. The room smelt a bit funny but I think that was more not being used to the sites and smells of Morocco! It was very easy to get over and overall didn’t impact our stay.

- Sheryl (8/5): Beautiful riad, attentive staff - The Riad was exactly as pictured, with the plants flowing down from the second story and a parrot in the corner. The room was beautiful although a little dark even with all the lamps. Breakfast was yummy and the staff was attentive. The location is safe but about a 15 minute walk into the medina's central area, zig zagging through a quiet neighborhood. In January, they brought heat lamps to the table at breakfast and the room was plenty. The bathroom was good by western-standards; the shower had good water pressure!

- Sian (10/5): Authentic excellence, fantastic accomodation in ages - Excellent service from arrival to departure. We were greeted with Turkish tea and seated in the courtyard while we completed our paperwork. Our room was upgraded to a suite which was stunning, spacious and had many authentic touches that felt like a Moroccan Riad. The bathroom was clean and had good hot water. The staff assisted with directions, taxi bookings and advised us not to attend a touristic pottery house, redirecting us to the appropriate place. The location was great for transport and Médina access. The breakfast was excellent too and they provided us with an early breakfast before our tour upon request at no additional charge. We would highly recommend this Riad.

- Travellight (10/5): Best riad in Marocco (I have ever experienced) - Beautiful building, perfectly and finely restored: the patio is one of the most interesting I've seen in Morocco, full of various plant and amused by Pulet (a nice parrot, a plus!). Big, clean and cosy rooms, with very comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. Inside Medina, but outside caos, few steps away one of the entrance door to the ancient city. Various and aboundant breakfast and moreover the dinner, really deserve! (Trust the fantastic cook and accept the surprise menu based on the freshest products in the market). Last but not least: friendly, professional and really helpful staff (special thanks to Hassan that help us very effectively when we were in trouble). If you go to Fez, that is the place to stay!
