I was very surprised that the pool area was not impeccable like the rest of the hotel. Especially the jacuzzi - it had lots of bugs in it and could use a facelift.
- John Frank (10/5): - The food in the restaurant was very good. As for the staff, everyone was amazing. However, there is one who was above them all and she was the evening front desk lady during the week (I do not remember her name). She was so polite, caring and always greeted us with a smile. She even went above this on her day off when we saw her and she came up and greeted us and asked how we were enjoying our vacation. This young lady should get a raise just saying. The property was so amazing and was ultra clean. We will stay again very soon.

- Michael (6/5): Apparently Cash Isn’t King? - Was there for a wedding and I was hard to believe the bar upstairs wouldn’t take cash so they elected to hang on to my credit card and leave in a plastic box. After paying cash downstairs and clearing what thought was both tabs they charged me again upstairs. Odd. Room was super clean but had trouble getting it to cool off. Love the property as it is AMAZING and thought it was a good price for the room.

- Ian (8/5): - Beautifully restored, historic hotel. Our room was huge, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Friendly and obliging staff. The onsite restaurant looked lovely although we did not use it. We arrived during a rainstorm but the hotel lacks a covered drop off area. We got quite wet as we had to park out on the street. This is not a walkable area as there are very few facilities nearby.

I'm one of those travelers who normally chooses to stay st the cheapest place in the area, but I make an exception flr Hotel Settles. The staff are always great. The restaurant is good. The rooms are comfortable. If you get a jetted tub that's phenomenal. Anytime I go to West TX from Dallas I now stay here and absolutely worth it.

- Michelle (8/5): Beautiful Hotel - I called the morning of our stay to request connecting rooms sine I had two rooms with children. I was told when I called that our rooms for the previous night. I was freaking out because I didn't know where we would stay, Gabriella was so kind she was able to get us two rooms same floor not connecting but I wasn't going to be picky.The room were big and plenty of space to stretch out after a 9 1/2 hour drive. The only problem is no valet and no one to help you with your luggage and when your done getting your luggage unloaded and up to your room you go and self park your car,. The food at the grill was good . They have a good selection for kids and their wedge salad was excellent.Wish we could have stayed longer the pool was really nice and had a waterfall. My room was a suite and I had a huge terrace. It also had table and chairs I didn't get to spend much time but the view was great.

- Philbytx (10/5): Another great stay..... - This was our 3rd stay at the Hotel Settles as we like to stay here when coming or going to NM, CO and points North. We actually stayed in the same room that we wrote about 4 years ago. Nothing more to say, we love the hotel and its almost European ambiance. From coffee and cookies at the front desk to the bar and restaurant, the Hotel Settles delivers. Everyone is so polite and kind.

- Byrd (10/5): - We are impressed with th common areas, especially the pool area. But we were disappointed with the room. It is tiny. Okay… it’s vintage. But the bedside table lamp didn’t work and there was trash in the closet. The lavatory is funky and nice but loud.
- Coco-Big (4/5): Bring your ear plugs - First visit to this hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor. The street noise from the cars and trucks cruising past the hotel was horrible. The walls are paper thin … we could hear the person next door dialing their cell phone and their whole conversation. Do not come here if you need some peace and quiet.

- SusanVescovo (10/5): Amazing!!!!! - This hotel is amazing! The staff is awesome. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. I’ve stayed in beautiful hotels all over the world and this is one of the best. I would highly recommend staying in this awesome Big Spring gem when traveling Hwy 20

- Dawn (4/5): - I stay at this hotel a lot. Unfortunately, this time the AC was not working properly in the room that I was in and we slept in 76°. Uncomfortable. They did offer to move us to another room but I had already unpacked. wake up the next morning to take a shower and the hairdryer in the room did not work. Also had trouble getting through to room service. Usually everything is fine.
- Laura (10/5): - This is a unique historical hotel with thoughtfully designed and comfortably modern renovations. We loved our one night stay in the spacious yet cozy room. We explored the hotel, had a drink and food at the wonderful bar, and enjoyed a Texas-size breakfast in the restaurant. Felt luxurious for a very reasonable cost.

- William (10/5): Bright gem of West Texas - An amazing place, a true oasis. To say it's the best hotel in Big Spring is a gross understatement. It is superb by any measure. True old world charm in an otherwise fairly rustic town. I go out of my way to stay here.

- Jennifer (10/5): Excellent place to stay on way to Big Bend - We were so pleased with our one night stay here! The bed was Uber comfortable, the restaurant was excellent and the room Was spacious and so quiet! We loved having two sinks in the bath plus a dressing area. The only negative was the expensive draperies had water stains in our room and the temperature control wasn’t easily accessible It got cold in the night and it was a long trek to adjust the thermostat we will definitely stay here again when passing through
- Sara (10/5): - Oh my goodness I love this hotel! I could make a whole photo album with pics that I took inside the hotel. We ate a light dinner in the restaurant and it was wonderful. The bathroom in our room is amazing! The room itself is very spacious. I am so glad we booked our stay here and wish we could stay longer. So many thoughtful touches.

- lubbock09 (10/5): A Unique Gem just seconds from the interstate - Beautiful hotel and fabulous customer service! From checkin with Gabriel to checkout with Garbriella, everyone was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We requested an accessible room, which was huge with an enormous shower. Bar was good, food was outstanding. And the music playlist in the public areas was varied and entertaining.
- Kimberly (8/5): Awesome hotel, great service, but terrible steaks - The hotel was a piece of art! Beautiful! It was awesome. Our only problem was the restaurant. It was great except for the steaks, which weren’t cheap! They had good flavor, good cut of meat, but out of 9 steaks, all 9 were severely undercooked. We asked for medium rare to well done and not one came out edible. The service was great, the sides were great, the $650 on steaks were disappointing.
