Guest Reviews
- Liz (10/5): - Very clean
- Patrick (10/5): - This was a wonderful place. We typically travel with our kids. This was an adult get away and not have to worry about kids next door. They have a great koi pond. The food was good for the price of the hotel.
- Rhonda (10/5): - Hidden gem! Super cute and clean. Delicious breakfast. Easy after hours check in. Very walkable to downtown area.
- Robert (10/5): - Nothing to complain about. Should I travel to Ludington next year I'll definitely book at this location.
- Elliot (10/5): - Nice breakfast!
- Paul L (10/5): A Welcome Place to Stay. - Suumer's Inn is a motel harking back to the 60's, but is in better shape and maintained MUCH better than modern motels I have been in. The grounds with a small water feature and nature area was a relaxing oasis. The meal we had in the morning was very good, one of 3 or 4 choices on the menu. The only drawback with the Inn being fully occupied was that parking was a little tight. We were staying at Summer's Inn overnight to catch the car ferry across Lake Michigan and will use them again if the need arises.
- Kathy (10/5): Sibs Weekend Get Together - Our stay at Summers Inn in Ludington was great! The rooms were exceptionally clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the garden space in the back was very relaxing. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, especially the quiche…delicious! Although the bathroom was a bit small, the rooms were great.
- John (10/5): - Very comfortable
- Tara (10/5): Excellent value - This is my 3rd time staying here and it’s always been amazing. The rooms are so neat and clean and everybody is so friendly.
- Mellissa (10/5): - Love the coy pond!
- Mary Chris (10/5): - Everything was beautiful
- Lisa (10/5): Restful Haven in Ludington MI - Our room was clean & beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. The motel had been modernized & decor is very nice. There are 3 choices for made-to-order breakfast, which are very good. Easy parking by rooms which are all on ground floor. Staff is friendly & helpful.
- Steve (10/5): - Always enjoy our stays here. Staff and accommodations are excellent
- Kris (8/5): - Bathrooms need updated but were clean
- James (8/5): - Breakfast was good, the gardens and patio near the fish pond was awesome.
- Janice (8/5): Charming stay - The garden was a lovely oasis. The motel was a delightful reminder of simpler times. The included breakfast was a surprise. My only real disappointment was the weak coffee.
- Dottajo (10/5): Cozy retreat - It was comfortable, cozy and the privacy along with the garden oasis was winderful. The breakfast rivals high end restaurants!
- Mary (10/5): - Greeted by Marianne in the office. Smooth check in and she outlined everything important we should know.
- Julie (10/5): - This property is older but so cute and clean. The breakfast was great. We walked to the town area but it’s a little far. I’d absolutely stay here again.
- Jill (6/5): - There isn't an option for cold packs.i travel with medication that needs to be refrigeration and cold packs are necessary for next day travel. TV remote didn't work. Shower needs updating. Limited towels. Breakfast process was good, timed eating, but was fresh and good. Morning people friendly.
- stacy (10/5): - Quaint, clean little place within walking distance of town. Nice breakfast !
- heather (8/5): - A very well kept and comfortable and convenient motel. Easy to get to the beach, the park and then get out of town. Staff is very friendly. Prices we very reasonable. Cute koi pond and sitting areas on the property and free breakfast! Would stay her again!
- Pamela (8/5): - This was my second stay at Summers Inn. It was just as nice the second time as it was the first. Only difference was this time it was more expensive most likely due to Labor Day weekend. While it is a very quaint spot and good walking distance from town I’m not sure I’d pay a hefty price for it again.
- Doren (10/5): - We could bike anywhere we wanted from this property-to mountain bike trails, to Ludington State Park and beaches, to downtown and to Buttersville Peninsula. We also liked that it was at the beginning of the historical homes walking route. The beds were very comfortable and the surrounding gardens, koi pond and library were a nice feature.
- Amy (10/5): - We had a King Suite and it was like having our own apartment. So cute comfy and cozy. Breakfast was great each morning. Staff was so attentive.Easy walk to downtown. Outside property was beautiful. Loved our stay. Would definitely stay here again.
- Christopher (10/5): - Clean rooms. Super friendly staff. The koi pond/garden/library are nice and relaxing.
- Patricia A (10/5): - Really clean and cozy. Located in a residential area that is great for walking.
- Cynthia (10/5): - Unique 1960s motel with updated features and decor. Staff was very nice. A beautiful outside sitting area with a large koi pond. Convenient to Carferry and downtown. Stayed in a large 2 room King suite which was clean and it had all of the amenities. Small kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, sink, and some dishware. Bathroom was small, but that’s how they used to be back in the day. Other two rooms were very large.
- Mark (8/5): - This is a thoughtfully renovated classic motel. Breakfast was very good, out performing other hotels on our journey. Only problem was the noisy air conditioning unit.
- Mike (10/5): - It's a excellent place for adults as we have stayed here multiple times and will again. My only complaint is that the pillows in our room were hard and flat. We'll bring our own next time just in case.
- Sandra (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Summers Inn is a beautiful place to stay for adults. Very quiet, our room was very clean, and you start your day with a wonderful breakfast served to you. The gardens are pretty and it’s close to the beaches and State Park.
- Ruth (10/5): Very nice, updated motel - Updated Motel in Ludington. Clean rooms, amazing breakfast service included. Convenient to all you want to do in Ludington.
- Rhonda (10/5): - We are so very impressed with Summer's End Inn. It is a very short walk from downtown Ludington. We had a picnic dinner and played games in the garden. The sound of the water flowing into the coy pond was so relaxing.
- Tim (10/5): - Breskfast
- Tracey (10/5): Relaxing stay - The only bad thing about this inn was the size of the toilet and sink. It was not your standard size but more like a child's size.
Everything else was great! Love all the flowers around the Inn. The food was great.
- Joellen (10/5): Ohio Harley - This hotel was amazing-- the check in with the staff who offered us so many helpful tips about things to do in Ludington. The quite pond area and the breakfast was delicious.
- Peggy (10/5): Little Gem - So quaint with outdoor pergola and koi pond
- Christopher (10/5): - It is always nice to stay here.
- Sara (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast was great. The grounds and gardens were beautiful.
- Victoria (10/5): - Great location. Wonderful MCM vibes and very friendly staff!!!
- Winnie (10/5): - I've stayed here many times, and I keep going back. Clean rooms, great breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff. I feel very much at home here. And, if you're taking the ferry to Wisconsin, it's close and breakfast is served early enough to accommodate travelers leaving that early.
- Erin (10/5): - It maybe an older motel but our room has been updated and very nice and clean. The bathroom has not been updated however I enjoy the nostalgia of the past. It was clean and very well maintained
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Breakfast was very good and inside courtyard garden was like an oasis!
- James (10/5): - Very nice place to stay.
- April (8/5): - The secret garden with the koi pond was nice and the breakfast was great. Unfortunately the window treatments did NOTHING to block out the light from the parking lot nor the headlights.
- Robert (10/5): A GEM! - A gem of a place! We will be back. The garden and breakfast were amazing.
- Lori (10/5): Perfect get away - The stay was exactly what we needed for a quick get away. The breakfast was amazing! You order the day before then the next morning give them your room number and they bring it to you. They also have reservations so it’s not too busy. The bed was very comfortable. Love the garden too. Just perfect!
- Cynthia (10/5): - The outside pond and patio are very cute. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Cathryn (10/5): - Beautifully updated motel. 😊. The zen garden was amazing and a wonderful quiet respite. The staff was polite and friendly and the complimentary breakfast was delicious
I hope we are able to return in the future!
- Steven (10/5): - Unique property in a quiet area near the hustle and bustle of downtown Ludington. There was a hidden garden with a pond and deck for sitting and enjoying the evening and morning coffee. Breakfast (ordered the night before) had a reserved time (which was a bit odd) , but it made it more intimate and allowed the service to be more attentive. We would absolutely return!
- James (10/5): - Be sure to check out the garden area and the koi pond. Loved our breakfast!
- kelly (10/5): - Excellent property
- Joseph (10/5): Best In Ludington! - It was incredibly awesome. Staff is amazing! Comfort and Cleanliness was awesome! Great location and breakfast was fantastic!
- charles (10/5): - I have been here 3 yrs in a row. The property is adult only with NO pets. Must be working, it was filled the 4 nights I was there. The staff is top notch. The koi pond is pure relaxation.
- Dan (10/5): - Everything was perfect.
- Mary beth (10/5): Nice experience- it grows on you:) - This place is well loved by the staff and their repeat customers who have been coming for years. It’s a quaint but comfortable inn for adults only and no pets which means quiet, which i loved! Breakfast is staggered- guests select time - this allows for a restaurant experience without chaos. People have already spoken about the well tended gardens and quality food. We rented two rooms. They did not have a frig but it appears some do. The beds are platform beds and sit low to the ground as well as standard toilets- not sure they are queen size? Seem more like double? Though the rooms are older they have uodated the decor- showers are smaller tiled. I felt very safe there. Great location- not too far from shops and shore-
- Donna (8/5): - The "secret" garden was very nice and we did not discover until our last night.
The room was nice and clean.
The bathroom was too small and dislike the size of the toilet. It was too low. Would like to see a comfort one. These old bones have difficulty.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden Gem - Super clean and cute room. Motel style - but so much better. Quiet outdoor seating area and hot breakfast served on real cutlery! Access to common microwave is a plus, and even a common indoor library space for reading as well.
- Edward (10/5): - nice place to stay
- gregory (10/5): - Beautiful gardens, peaceful atmosphere with kind staff and excellent breakfast!
- Lindsay (10/5): Will stay here again! - Loved this place! We were pleasantly surprised at home clean and nice this was! Breakfast was amazing also.
- Anne (8/5): - Was a good stop prior to taking ferry. Breakfast was a nice touch.
- Timothy (10/5): Quaint and Quiet - It doesn't look like much from the road, but the property is quite nice. The rooms are updated and VERY quiet, and there's a cute coy pond and garden just behind the hotel. You also get a few breakfast choices, including quiche, that they make for you as part of the stay. It's only listed as a 2 star hotel, but it is really quite nice. We'd definitely stay again in the future.
- Joann (10/5): Summers Inn Review - The property is old, but is very clean with large rooms. Kind of nice and nostalgic that there is an actual room key that you turn in to a basket before leaving to move on. The shower stall in our room felt like a cave but was clean and served it's purpose. It was quiet and we did not hear any noise from the street or other guests, and we found the lot full of cars in the morning when going to breakfast. They have a nice koi pond with seating area. Also 2 other nice outdoor seating areas covered by pergulas and plants for shade. We found it odd that we had to reserve a time for breakfast, but nice that there was a choice of 2 or 3 breakfast meals. Overall a great stay for us and a very nice. Peaceful place.
- Jennifer (6/5): - There was mold in the shower. Very disappointing because for the most part the hotel was well kept. Hope they get this problem fixed.
- Tina (8/5): Nice bedding, loud air conditioner. - Older hotel, air conditioner was loud and right beside the bed. Breakfast was really good, staff was friendly and helpful. Lovely Koi pond.
- John (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
- Jason (10/5): - Older furnishings but clean and very nice staff, had a great stay.
- Jeff (10/5): - Great stay
- Gregg (10/5): - Booked last minute and was pleasantly surprised as to how quaint it was. It’s not the latest and greatest but stepped me back in time with an actual room key! Breakfast was surprisingly good as well! Perfect stay of you are taking the ferry the next day!
- Christy (10/5): I’d stay again - Very nice. Great breakfast!
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Very private- no pets and just adults. Great staff - very friendly and accommodating. We will return to Summers Inn!
- David (10/5): - The hidden koi pond courtyard was perfect for meeting other family members staying at the Inn, and relaxing.
- Ariana (10/5): - While the driveway and parking lot is kinda narrow, everything else about the Summer's Inn was amazing. The breakfast service was delicious, and the little koi pond was relaxing. The Inn is not too far from downtown, so we were able to go find places to eat very easy. It is also not very far from Stearns Beach, a free public beach that all the locals seem to congregate to to watch the sunset.
- Sylvia (10/5): - Wonderful stay and customer service.
- Katie (10/5): - Summer's Inn is a beautiful motor lodge. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay complete. The coi pond was right behind our room and beckoned you to come and relax. The room was spacious and modern. Though the bathroom was a bit small and dated, it was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. I would definitely recommend Summer's Inn to any friends or family passing through Ludington.
- David (8/5): - Only issue was the office hours
- Jeffrey T. (6/5): - Very old school reminded me of Schitt's Creek. Very few electrical outlets, we couldn't charge our 3 items at same time. The breakfast room was remodeled & beautiful
- William (10/5): - Lovely breakfast in a lovely setting served by friendly people.
- Thomas (10/5): First stay but definitely not our last!! - First time staying here but won’t be our last!!! It was so clean, beds and room were so comfy!!! The breakfast was very yummy!
- Dennis (4/5): - The bed very uncomfortable! The shower handle broke. The room we got needed alot of upgrades. The staff and breakfast was the only things that were greatly!
- Dennis (8/5): - Summers Inn is a nice motel. The staff at the office and the breakfast area were very nice and polite. The bathroom in the room was small. Which is typical for the older motels. But, it was very clean. Breakfast was handled differently than most motels. You chose what you wanted the night before along with a time to eat the next morning. Worked great in my opinion.
- Ben (10/5): - Awesome place with undeniable “charm”.
- Michael (10/5): - Nice property in walking distance to shopping, dining, and the waterfront.
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Nancy (10/5): - Excellent breakfast!
- Jack (10/5): - Small room, but very nice and clean! Everything looked new. Staff very nice. Good breakfast
- Kristi (10/5): Stay @SI in any season - Great customer service! Traveling and needed a place to stay near the SS Badger as part of a longer road trip. Received a call alerting us of the office closing time 9pm CST, how to access room with easy late check-in, and to take our breakfast order. Room was quite cozy and met our basic needs for brief stay. Breakfast was delish, and SI was only minutes away from the dock. Will look to rebook when back in Ludington! (Also recommend eating lunch at The Wharf when docking in Manitowoc)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Facility was average overall. Outside around buildings was excellent. Room was average at best. Remodeling needed. Room furniture was cheap and not very usable. Not very flexible for the breakfast provided. Had to have a reservation for the breakfast that was included and make your limited breakfast selection a day in advance. Food was fine though.
- Thomas (10/5): - Quaint, homey, comfortable outdoor spaces
- Andrew (8/5): Good value, great location - Clean and well maintained retro style motel. Very friendly staff. Choose from 3 breakfasts that will be prepared and ready for you at the time you specify. Very convenient location if you are taking the SS Badger ferry.
- andrew (10/5): Nice, clean, good value - Clean and well maintained retro style hotel. Very friendly staff. Choose from 3 breakfast options that will be prepared and ready for you at the time you specify. Very convenient location if you are sailing on the SS Badger.
- Brian (8/5): - Air condition was noisy !! Not enough outlets to charge up are phones ,had to unplug things in the room to charge are phones. Parking was tight , had to step over or in the ground covered landscaping to load an In load the car . Staff was very friendly an kind, food was great and they take your order for breakfast when you check in though that was a great experience because we had needed a early check out an that help to keep us on time for the day .
- Kerri (10/5): Sweet stay in Ludington - What a sweet motel only minutes from everything Ludington has to offer. Very friendly staff and their breakfast was a special surprise. They have a beautiful outdoor space that is peaceful and provides nice seating options!
- MARVIN (8/5): - Good value for price. Basic room, but clean and sufficient.
Nice staff & pleasantly surprised by nice breakfast...served with a smile.
Would recommend if just want basic room.
- renee (8/5): - I loved the home type feeling of this place and was so nice and calm. I was really looking forward to the homemade breakfast. The idea of having the quiche was somewhat I was looking forward too. However, the option to not be able to remove an item such as broccoli or tomato was not very happy about that. I would stay here again if ever in this area again.
- Edward (10/5): - Staying at the Summers Inn is like staying at your favorite aunt's home. Nice comfortable room, excellent breakfast served at your table, beautiful garden and friendly staff makes this our favorite place to stay in Ludington
- Rachel (8/5): - Really beautiful landscaping (with a koi pond!) and decor, artfully lit at night, but could be more practically lit, especially at the step between the sidewalk and the parking lot. On the whole a very nice stay.
- Bob (8/5): - The plants, pond and fish were great. Too bad the weather was too cold to stay outdoors.
- Pat (10/5): - We LOVED the pond/garden area. The fish were fun to watch. The breakfast was delicious and the young man, David was so polite!
We would recommended this hotel t to anyone.
