- Wendy (8/5): Pleasant stay. Friendly staff - Nice and clean. Staff friendly Not much choices at the resaurant for dinner and was priced a bit high. Beds were not as comfortable i hilton hotels usually are and the bed squeaked and clunked when i would turn over.

At times the elevators (only 2) get very busy, especially with staff going from one floor to another. They should have service elevators for that.

- Brend482 (8/5): Solid no frills hotel - HGI Riverwalk is a bit of a misnomer. It’s on a side street off Michigan and Wacker Avenue. A nice location but a block away from the Riverwalk. It’s an older building but the rooms were well-maintained and reasonably spacious for a downtown hotel. There wasn’t a view of anything. There’s a restaurant in the hotel but meals aren’t included and there are better options. This was a good choice for an inexpensive room and comfortable stay for a night near business meetings.

Además sentimos que era muy seguro. El restaurant estaba en reparación, por lo que no pudimos usarlo, para que lo consideren si es algo primordial para los viajeros.

- Trailbiker13 (8/5): Perfect hotel in great location for a one night work trip - Solid Hotel for a quick business trip. Rooms are dated but super clean with good amounts of amenities like towels , soap, lotions etc Front desk was very nice and helpful for me the valet ( valet desk was actually located next door at the Hampton Inn) Location of this hotel was great to get around main points in Chicago such as good restaurants , millennium park, river walk etc I even had a small view of the river and the maritime towers from my room Will definitely stay here again Oh one note is restaurant is under construction so was not able to try the breakfast , but plenty options in the city to grab grub - Starbucks was also one block away - which was great cause it was cold in on Feb 26th :)

The hotel restaurant was closed for renovations which was rough the day we arrived because we did not feel like going out. However, there are hundreds of excellent places to eat in the city! They ran out of regular coffee in the lobby one morning... So I had to settle for decaf. But I would probably stay again.

Ice machine is only on the 10th floor and you need your room key to access it. Resulting in two trips to get ice.

There was a long wait to get our order. The coffee was self serve but they were out of creamer. When I asked for some creamer the person behind the bar seemed bothered by me asking. She finally asked the only waitress to get it. Then the waitress gave us someone else’s order after it took along time to get to us. The food was terrible after all that. It was also overpriced.

Es war nicht pünktlich fertig und Qualitativ schlecht. Das Personal war unfreundlich, versteht nichts und auch nicht hilfsbereit. Kaffee war nur manchmal verfügbar.

- Gretchen (7/5): Excellent staff and overall nice room - The staff were all excellent and check in was so easy they had me pulled up and ready to go before I even finished spelling my last name. The rooms were very clean and when I asked for more towels and towel paper they arrived very quickly. I also LOVE that they have bath/shower option in the bathroom, I was on my period while staying there and it was sooooo nice to be able to take a hot bath. You don’t find baths in hotels a lot now and even when you do, sometimes the baths aren’t even able to be used even though they are advertised. The beds were comfortable and I love being able to control the temperature. The rooms were very dark, even with all of the lights turned on. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work so anytime we took a bath or shower, it turned into a sauna and then took forever to air out. The refrigerator sucked. The shelves wouldn’t actually hold anything, we had to stand boxes up on their sides and weren’t able to fit hardly anything in it. AND one of the elevators wasn’t working, which made the other elevator move a snail’s pace. We ended up having to use the stairs anytime we went anywhere, which wasn’t a huge deal but we were both on our periods so walking up and down the stairs didn’t feel great.

Very good bed, complimentary water bottles and in-room coffee machine. Nice big bathroom, very clean. Friendly, welcoming staff in the restaurant (we had better than average, reasonably priced fresh-cooked breakfast there). We had a good laugh with the servers & the cook. A special compliment to the server and her DELICIOUS home-made zucchini bread!

Book well in advance price climbs significantly as date gets closer. Didn’t try breakfast buffet, cash price exorbitant. Valet parking and it’s the only choice more than 70 dollars a day. Close by parking for same three days was 67 for the into time in and out. Ice machine not working get ice from desk before heading up.

- Brennan (6/5): Solid stay, impacted by flooding issue. - Great location and good room, however my stay was impacted by a water pipe burst that meant I had to change rooms half way through my stay and made the lobby difficult to navigate due to a leaky ceiling. A freak accident, I'm sure, but one that impacted my stay nonetheless.

Upon arrival the lobby had water leaking everywhere from the ceiling with buckets and hazard tape sectioning off all the seating area so it was alerted a bad impression. Day two was WORSE. I have a broken wrist and I’m in a splint/brace. When I saw how the showers were set up I knew it would be an issue. The bar they consider a safety bar (imo it’s not because they hang towels from there is to my right so I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold
