Guest Reviews
- Sheila (10/5): - We brought our own kayaks and were able to kayak right there on site. Fishing too. Went to town, 5 mins away for meals. May come back and golf next time. Barry’s Bay is a quaint town to visit. Lots to do.
- NATHALIE (8/5): Overnight stay - Just a quick overnight with a round of golf. I liked the place and would stay again. Only downside is no food service. Groundskeeper was very friendly and helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a great time. Staff was very helpful and room was perfect.
Will be back!!!
- maria (10/5): Lungt och lite resort - Tyvärr var reception inte öppet 24h och dem hade ingen frukost som lovat på hotel.com men utsikten var underbart
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great little spot! - Is a cute little place. 3 room resort. Room was nicely decorated, clean and everything worked. The resort owner was kind and happy to greet us. Great value. Will return if in the area. 😁✔️👍
- Natalie (10/5): Fun golf course and lovely large hotel rooms! - Lovely spot if you want a quiet spot on water. Golf course was really fun. Played it twice. Very tricky!
- Verified traveler (4/5): No wifi, 2 towels for 4, no kettle or coffe maker - Good location, but the rest was disappointing
1. We received 2 towels for 4 people
2. They advertised wifi- there was NO wifi
3. We had to find bedding and make our 2nd bed (even though we had reserved for 4)
4. No kettle or coffeemaker in room
5. When we wanted to address the above: there was no service to be found (checked reception twice to talk to someone)
6. Would not eat at the restaurant, so bring food (but do not depend on hot water or coffee)
7. Location is beautiful, but nothing within walking distance
8. If you want to eat, plan Barry's Bay outing
- Verified traveler (10/5): V nice hotel by the golf course - The owners were very friendly , the place was amazing by a beautiful lake. Very nice clean room. Will defiantly recommend to family and friends.
- Dave (6/5): a pleasant unusual place - The small three room motel is situated on a beautiful lake with a rustic 9 hole golf course winding around it. A cool little get away spot.
- Con (10/5): Great place, super value, fantastic setting. - My wife and I stayed at this Hotel back in September, when the weather was sunny but not too hot (perfect for us). We only stayed for a couple of days but our visit had been for longer. The resort is located in one of the most lovely settings imaginable. It's on the banks of a beautiful lake and as the name suggests is beside a very picturesque Golf course. It's location is also quite convenient for the East Gate of Algonquin park and other attractions in the area (eg. Bonnechere Caves). Barry's Bay village is only a few minutes' drive away.
The owners of the resort are also the owners of the golf course. The resort has only three rooms all as part of one building (like a log cabin). Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was simple (Bacon and eggs, toast, coffee, orange juice), but was ideal for our needs. Elaine, the lady of the house was very nice and really helpful.
I'm a golfer but I didn't play the course. However, I got up early one morning to walk it. It really is one of the most scenic I've seen, and is a very difficult test. Bring plenty of golf balls.
Our room was clean and comfortable with a great view over the lake. WiFI was included. Again, perfect for our needs.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's great value for the price.
- Daniel (8/5): Very nice family hotel - Elaine & her husband are the couple that own and manage this little place. Very friendly and helpful. The cabins are well maintained, clean and have a refrigerator. No microwave or cooking available. TV is satellite based. Wifi reception is poor and Virtually non existent in the rooms but Ok in the lobby area.
Overall I would return.
