Guest Reviews
- Horst (10/5): - The owners were very nice and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
- Mrs. Traveller (6/5): right on highway #6 just before Tobermory - this small 8 unit motel is a short drive (less than 10 minutes) to the Chi Cheemaun dock so if you're just looking for a basic, no frills place to rest your head, it's okay. Mini fridge in room also has a teeny little freezer to chill your ice paks
- Verified traveler (6/5): If you can`t provide, please don`t advertise. - Room was dark, sheet`s and towels were not changed every day, no breakfast (like was advertised when I was booking, for this price?), very old TV, blurry picture you can`t see anything - rainy evening, no radio, no internet connection.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close enough to Tobermory downtown - Overall, a very nice one night experience. The owner was very friendly.
- Bob (6/5): Quirky Place - Free wifi but, it did not reach my room. Have to walk closer to the office. Beds were fine but, there is no side table or shelf to put your phone on for time and alarm. Good room darkening front curtains, sheer curtains in the small kitchen, no door, so when you need to be up at 5 for the ferry, good luck getting to sleep if it is still light out. Plumbing is very marginal, with patience you can get the right temperature. Full size fridge with a freezer, great to freeze your cooler packs.
You have to remember a 2 star facility is rated primarily for cleanliness and it was very clean.
- Donald J (10/5): Nice stay on the peninsula! - Nice stay on the Bruce peninsula. Very friendly and helpful service. Close to town and boat ride.
- Steven (6/5): - The location was wonderful with it being a short walk to town and another short walk to the visitors center. The motel itself is older but clean. The beds though were not very comfortable and the plumbing needs some work.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Simply excellent. - We went there on a family trip over the weekend. I found the location and service to be excellent, and would highly recommend this place. It is quite close to where all the action is - the harbor, if you want to head out to the Flowerpot island, or the visitor's center. The motel, run by a sweet old couple, is on highway 6. The warmth of the hosts is appealing; the office says - come as a visitor and leave as a friend; I would certainly attest to that.
- Wayne (10/5): Pleasant surprise - Very nice! Clean and updated. Close to town. 5 minute walk. Nice back yard for a camp fire or BBQ. Owners were wonderful.
- Douglas (8/5): Nice Simple Motel - Stayed one night. I simple motel that is clean and acceptable. I would return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very clean and quiet. - Pillows were good but bed was hard. No coffee in room but other than that things were good. Polite owner. Good local resource material. Economical.
- Alan (8/5): Very convenient for the National Park Visitor - After a not so good experience at another place the night before, I was very happy and glad I chose Cedar Vista, as it was in good condition, the room was ample, with nice touches and very clean. The bathroom had an odd layout with two doors opening from different parts of the room. It has a nice sitting area in the back. Although did not have much interaction with the proprietors they were nice and courteous. Despite being on the main road, did not hear much road noise. I would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was the perfect little motel in the heart of the action
- peter (8/5): - Very friendly and helpful host
- Anthony (10/5): Decent motel for the area - As long as your expectations are set at the right level, It's a decent place to stay. For the area, It's probably about as good as you are going to get. The only problem I had was that the hot water took a long time to come and was unreliable while showing. Service was great though, they stayed open late for me when I was going to be arriving an hour past closing time.
- Mostafa (8/5): Nice motel - We stayed for one night. The owners are so nice and friendly people. they gave us a map for the area. the room was clean and good furniture, however the bathroom is small and shower area was so narrow.
- Michael (8/5): Friendly convenient Motel... - Very friendly welcome by the owners, great location close to town and right on the highway. Ample parking, bbq, fire pit, fridge, cable tv, good wifi, coffee, etc. Definitely recommended.
- Evguenia (6/5): - The owners are very nice and accommodating. Very nice quiet lot with bbqs and fire pit. Great for winding down outdoors.
- David (8/5): Owners great - This is a modest motel, don't get me wrong, but it is very clean, and the owners are helpful and thoughtful.
- Klaus (10/5): - We enjoyed it a lot . Clean comfort and very kind owners. We will go again
