- Lyndsey (10/5): - This resort was perfect for a little Up North pit stop. We were scheduled for 2 nights but when we had an issue at our Air BNB we were able to get in for a 3rd! The owner was amazingly sweet & accommodating! Kelly at the front desk & the 2 gals in house keeping were super friendly too! Great location & loved the private area by on the lake, very peaceful! My only suggestion would be to get better pillows. The pillows were too thin & not comfortable. Sleeping in a foreign bed is hard enough but hotel pillows always make a huge difference.

Had access to a nice beach. It had exterior entrance and had to climb stairs to the 2nd floor but was expedted. and not a problem.

The lake is very beautiful. The town is low key and the perfect size. We really enjoyed Sleepy Bear Dunes NP.

Very poor internet service - inoperable in the evening.

The private beach was large, plenty of chairs, and the view of the lake from the balcony was gorgeous! Very short walk to town where one can find cafes, restaurants, etc. We will be back!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place -- will stay again! - My husband and I decided to do a last minute trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes area and we stumbled upon Crystal Lake Resort when looking at different lodging options. We decided to reserve a room there and we are glad we did! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, our room was clean and cute and comfy, and the private beach is a bonus as well! Plus, the price was really good. We definitely will be staying here again.

- Suzanne35691 (6/5): Way overpriced for the quality - My husband and I took a road trip around Lake Michigan, a Michigan Circle Tour. We were gone nine days and stayed in a different hotel/motel each night. We chose this place based on reviews and because other nearby places required more than one night's stay. You know what they say: Location, location, location. The room we were in was clean, so that was one positive. The furnishings looked time-worn. The beds were mushy and noisy. There is a road that passes in front of the resort, which we knew about. The traffic noise wasn't too bad. A very tiny bathroom. When we checked in, the woman made sure to mention a private beach. Please see the photo I took of this private beach. I guess it was private and I admit, it was a beach.

Can’t beat the open courtyard in back with a lovely lake view and space to sit along the shore. Nothing crazy fancy but like I said, the rooms were very clean and even had a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig. We would definitely come back.
