- Countrydude4444 (6/5): In Great Need Of Being Updated - Like most have said .......... rooms in great need of being updated. Large clean rooms. Stayed two nights within a week. Second night .... on the way there, we get a phone call that my credit card did not go through. I said I don't know why because it's the same card from just 4 days ago when I stayed there. The lady said I had to get there by 6pm or I was going to lose the room. I explain we were on our way there. We get there at about 8 min til and the lady explained that they wanted her to cancel our room. She had told them , we told her we were coming ( so she didn't ) Turns out, on our credit card exp date they entered was 8/28 ......... when I got there I showed the lady the card and she said ..... " it says .... 8/28 " Turns out it really says 6/28. ( I didn't have my glasses on ) Turns out card was fine, it was being just entered wrong. Hard to believe they wanted to cancel my reservation after I told them I would straighten it out and also being a rewards member. Put a bad taste in our mouths. Employees were great and seemed to try hard.

- I6568QObrendag (8/5): Good as always - SpringHill suites Mobile always does a great job! The entire staff is so friendly and they truly go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I’ve been staying at this hotel for years when visiting my daughter at college. I’ve never had a bad experience. My only complaint is this hotel does need updating, but this is a corporate problem not a staff problem. The staff makes do with what they have and takes pride in their job, regardless of the outdated decor and furniture. Keep up the good work SpringHill Mobile and hopefully corporate will reward you with a much needed update soon!

- Edgar (4/5): Not worth for us - Great location, everything close by Breakfast time was a mess , we went at around 8am and had no eggs at all no sausage only green apples and coffee , there were several people complaining about the same thing , I went over and asked a worker for help on that when he told the kitchen lady about the situation she got upset talking in between her lips obviously mad but hey they say breakfast ends at 9 or 10 can’t remember the exact time , really not worth the price we paid for one night for the service that was provided

This was my first stay that was in a handicapped room so it had a tub/shower combo with a shower curtain and so much water comes out. This is despite having the shower curtain closed all the way and is because the curtain and liner absorb the water. It’s dumb. lol I’d much rather have a room with the glass shower door like normal for this location so I don’t have a mess to manage after every shower

The room was clean and huge! No issues or concerns for us there. Bathroom was clean, linens were fresh, pillows plenty. My only negative would be the bed is very firm for me, so I didn't sleep great. Breakfast the next morning was simple, but enough variety to satisfy.

- texas925 (4/5): Do not stay here. - This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. They cannot help the location not being the nicest, but the upkeep is awful. Stains all over the carpet in the halls and rooms. Stains on decorative pillows and couches. I even found a used folded up tissue on the desk in my room. The sheets didn’t even fit the mattress. No towels in the gym and extremely dirty equipment (rusted weights). Highly recommend finding a more upgraded courtyard or something nearby. I was also nicely greeted with a ‘what’s your last name’ when I walked in, and the lady must have learned how to type that morning.

- lateshaj2025 (4/5): Shameful maintenance policy - The room was spacious, and decently clean, although the floors could have definitely been vacuumed better. Our tub began draining very slowly on Friday night so my husband notified the front desk at 6am. He was told that maintenance does not work on the weekend, but could maybe be called in, which is crazy since thats the busiest time. We left and returned around midnight to shower. No one had entered the room, so of course the shower was still draining slowly. I called the front desk and notified them and they did not even have any notes saying that we told them that morning. Maintenance had never been called and due to the hotel being booked, we could not even be moved to a different room. This was highly frustrating and we checked out the following morning. I advised them of the issue and all I got from the front desk clerk was I'll notify the manager. The elevators and hallways were dirty and the luggage carts were absolutely filthy. They were so dirty that we put down some towels on the cart prior to placing our luggage on it. This used to be a nice hotel that we have stayed at before, but due to the neglect and shameful maintenance policies, we will not be staying there again.

- terrytT8365QK (6/5): Sub-par Springhill Suites in Mobile, Alabama - The Springhill Suites in Mobile, AL was an older hotel and it showed. The towels were old and looked stained. We would have used them for rags at my house. The bathroom caulk job looked like a 3rd grader applied the caulk. Hallway carpets need to be cleaned. The breakfast was not anywhere close to what I have experienced at other Springhill Suites (eg. Coralville, Iowa) .... and I even paid extra for the breakfast. We didn't get anything at the breakfast other than coffee. However, the young lady at my check-in was fantastic! She made me feel welcome and important as a guest. This is about what I have come to expect at all hotels. They are simply not well taken care for and not worth the $$ we pay to stay at them. Glad that I am semi-retired and don't stay in hotels nearly as much as I once did.

- V929AZdonnah (10/5): Shanette the savior! - Helping a friend drive her disabled husband home from South Florida to Houston on Saturday and made it to Mobile. Looking for a place to stay I grabbed my Bonvoy app and the Spring Hill Suites popped up. One phone call to Shanette at the front desk and she took great care of us. She checked availability and checked the room to see if everything we required was available. It was and when we arrived 15 minutes later she walked my friend to the room for approval. Once approved, she booked us in and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, well appointed and a perfect fit. When it’s late and you’re tired Shanette provided the kind of customer service everyone deserves! Well done!

Sue, the employee working that night, was super helpful with redeeming a gift card and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.

- cdfhall (2/5): Awful - Long-term Marriott Bonvoy member. We were to stay here last Sunday night after Thanksgiving on the way back to Dallas from Orlando. This is a sub-par Marriott at best, with much lower standards than we are accustomed. From the time we walked in the entry door, we had an unfavorable opinion. We had driven for 8 hrs., so decided to check in, regardless. However, we were unsettled enough to view the room before taking our luggage upstairs. When we got there, “our room” was in a disarray, as it was clear the bed had been slept in and housekeeping had not cleaned. We went back to the front desk and showed them a picture of the room. We understand mistakes are made, but were already uneasy about the lack of maintenance seen in the entry and lobby. We drove on further to Hattiesburg, MS. Totally disappointed with this Springhill Suites at Mobile. Thus, we do not recommend this hotel.

So the bathroom very small as so as the shower you can’t even open the shower door without positioning yourself a certain way because the sink is right there so you would get caught between the sink and the shower door , also it’s a little outdated the cushions on the sofas are nasty the tv small and the area the tv is located just doesn’t fit with the layout of the room , the outside patio furniture just horrible nasty with mold / mildew . Honestly I would never stay at this location again.

I know the location of this property, but there is only a very small sign to inform you of the properties location. Even though I know it’s general location, I tend to pass the side street that it is located on. That’s it. A minor complaint. Everything else here is great. Especially the staff. Awesome.

- Daydream05232429370 (8/5): Needs a refresh - The hotel was ok. Staff was friendly enough, we didn’t have any needs or problems. The hotel is older and need of a refresh. The carpet is showing its age/wear. There were several places where the paint was peeling and the corner pieces were breaking away. The hotel was clean…just needs a refresh.

- M2512XWkatw (6/5): Very kind staff. Typical sub-standard property. What happened to Marriott? - The staff were very friendly, so our stay was fine. BUT! I kept thinking the same thing I think most always anymore when traveling and using my Marriott app to stay in one of your properties. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MARRIOTT????? This is nothing new, as I've seen the changes in recent years increase, but I remember a time when Marriott was synonymous with excellence. Stained carpets, old furniture, peeling wallpaper, hair in the showers, and questionable cleanliness of towels and linens. While our stay in Mobile was fine, and the young man who checked us in was an excellent individual, very personable and respectful... still, the rooms were what we've come to expect anymore with Marriot and what we've encountered almost everywhere Marriott in recent years. Run down. So sad.

- delosl2016 (6/5): Nice clean room, forgot the sheets and towels - Room was clean and set up like all the Spring Hill properties, which we love. Unfortunately we arrived pretty late, and there were no sheets for the couch bed, so I had to go back down to the front desk to get some. Then we realized there were no towels in the bathroom. Zero. So I had to go back down to the front desk and ask for towels too. Just not what I'm used to at a Marriott property, but not a big deal.
