• Kristin (10/5): Authentic experience inside the Medina - We had a great stay at Riad Ciel d`Orient with our 3 children (14 and 10 years old). The Riad was beautiful, we were served traditional moroccan tea when we arrived and they even made sure our two rooms were on the same floor, even though I had accidentally booked a different combination on different floors. The rooms are lovely, very comfy beds and even a mini-fridge which is great in the moroccan heat. The views from the roof terrace were stunning and the location in the Medina is perfect, you can easily walk to the main square and the souks. The Staff were amazing, going out of their way to help us from giving advice to organising a taxi for our very early departure and assistance during some personal matters. We cannot recommend it highly enough ! For us it was perfect, could have not asked for more !

• Elodie (9/5): Idéalement situé, très commode et personnel serviable - L’établissement est très bien situé et le personnel très gentil. Le hammam massage était une belle surprise! Le logement est grand et propre, c’est idéal pour quelques nuits dans la médina Tout est ok pour un court séjour bien situé proche des souks.

• RUSSO (8/5): Très bon séjour au sein du riad. - Tout s'est très bien passé de notre arrivée à notre départ. Le personnel est attentif et disponible. Le lieu est magnifique et traditionnel comme nous le souhaitions, dans une ruelle au calme de la ville. Les chambres sont typiques et propres. Le riad est très bien situé permettant de tout faire à pieds, à proximité de la place Jemaa el Fna. Le petit-déjeuner proposé est copieux. Le service de transfert vers l'aéroport, en pleine nuit, pour 15 euros, nous a bien rendu service et a été parfaitement organisé. Bon rapport qualité prix! Un grand merci!!

• Jona (9/5): Great stay in an excellent location. - The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options. The location is excellent, very close to the medina. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The internet was fast and reliable. I liked the property, but if there are a few areas for improvement: Breakfast was scheduled for 8:00, but it was usually served around 8:30, which isn’t ideal if you have an early start. The bathroom could be cleaned more thoroughly, and the sink was positioned quite far back on a large counter, which made it a bit inconvenient to use.

• Manuel (5/5): Riad Ciel d'Orient: In die Jahre gekommen und nicht so toll wie auf den Fotos - Am besten bleibt uns die Freundlichkeit des Personals in Erinnerung. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, konnten sogar vorzeitig einchecken. Die Grösse unserer Suite "Venus" im ersten OG war OK, das Tageslicht dank der grossen Fenster auf den Innenhof gefiel uns gut. Dankbar waren wir für die Klimaanlage, die uns erlaubte, das feuchtkalte Klima im Zimmer etwas aufzuheizen und zu entfeuchten. Leider ist dieses Riad arg in die Jahre gekommen. Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig, die Teppiche sind abgewetzt, die vielen Textilien wirken allesamt schmuddlig. Das Frühstück war 08-15, süsslastig und erschien uns lieblos. Am schlimmsten jedoch empfanden wir das Bett in der Suite Venus. Die Matratze ist knüppelhart und auf der linken Seite uneben, durchgelegen, sodass wir kaum in den Schlaf finden konnten und am Morgen mit Rücken-, Hüft- und Schulterschmerzen aufgewacht sind. Dies alles hat uns veranlasst, nach der ersten Nacht wieder abzureisen und die folgenden drei Nächte, die wir gebucht und bezahlt hatten, verfallen zu lassen. Leider wurde uns jegliche Rückerstattung verwehrt. Wenigstens hat das Riad unseren Flughafenshuttle übernommen.

• Outlook Account (1/5): Friendly staff but not so friendly surroundings - The accommodations were satisfactory; however, the surrounding area was highly undesirable, characterized by significant refuse. This experience was quite disappointing, particularly as it caused distress to my children. Consequently, my confidence in Booking.com has been significantly diminished. The advert looked great. Apparently I booked presidential suite but the room decor was really bad. The entry to the riad was really bad. I would never ever use booking.com

The staff was really nice, especially Sahir who was so lovely, funny and gentle, gave us some great tips to improve our experience of Marrakech, showed us a map and marked some utilities we were looking for. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The place was beautiful and very well located. It's clearly very well taken care of, with nice incense and candles always lit, nice room temperature. The toiletries were very lovely as well. Has air conditioning, hair drier and mini fridge too. The terrace is very cozy and the morning sun is just amazing there. Couldn't recomend more! The pool looked really amazing too, we just didn't have enough time for a dip! Will try next time! Too short stay!

Клиентоориентированности никакой, были с детьми - попросили приготовить яичницу, нам отказали, типа ешьте что дают, не знаю уж чего сложного детям пожарить яйца. Отсутствует горячая вода, т.е. она номинально есть, но по факту помыться это целый квест.

Our room was clean and comfortable and easy to access on the ground floor. The highlight of our stay was our dinner. I had been wanting to try Tangia and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend arranging for a dinner during a stay. I love all the Marrakech has to offer, but there is something to say about enjoying a delicious meal in the calm and quiet without several cats wanting to join in :)

• Yu (8/5): スタッフが皆さん素晴らしい！ - 何よりスタッフの方がみなさんとても親切で明るく、ホスピタリティに溢れていて素晴らしかったです！ 立地は、フナ広場まで徒歩20分程と少し距離がありますが、そこまでにメラ広場やスークもあって、安いし見ているだけでも楽しく、苦ではありませんでした。 また、こちらのリヤドは迷路のような路地に入り込まず、すぐ大通りに出られるのも良かったです。 私たち家族は、このリヤドのスタッフの皆さんと朝食と屋上が大変気に入りました！ スタッフの皆さんが2歳の娘のことをとても可愛がってくれました。ありがとうございます。 リヤドはそういうものかもしれませんが、部屋は少し暗く、閉鎖的でした。 お風呂は、石造りの建物で広いこともありとても寒かったです。 シャワーのお湯の出はあまり良くありませんでした。 リヤドに依頼して初めて体験したハマムは、トラブルによりとても残念な結果でした。普段は良いかもしれません。
• Anna (10/5): A great place to stay and highly recommended - We stayed 5 nights. Very warm and welcoming staff and we were well looked after, with airport transfers organised which were right on time and made everything easy. The room was spacious, clean, and the decor was lovely traditional Morrocan. Location excellent - just a short five minute walk to a rooftop bar, restaurants and cafes in a big square, then another minute and you're in the souks. About 15-20 minutes' walk to the central Jamaa el-Fnaa marketplace. All the main museums/ palaces were within walking distance of the riad. The fact it was away from the main road also meant there was very little traffic noise. If you're looking to stay in a traditional riad with fabulous staff, this one is highly recommended. The only thing I would say about staying in a riad is you can often hear the noise from other guests as they come and go, as the rooms all face into an inner courtyard. This isn't a criticism of this particular riad, just something worth considering if you're a light sleeper and staying more than a couple of nights. Having said that, the typical design of a riad does block out traffic noise.

• ANNA Paola (10/5): Bel Riad vicino al palazzo bahia - Riad molto bello e pulito. In una posizione molto comoda anche per farsi venire a prendere con i taxi. Abbiamo anche cenato nel Riad e la cucina é molto buona. La colazione é abbondante e varia con frutta fresca e spremuta di arancia fatta in casa. Il personale ci ha fornito assistenza per arrivare in aeroporto lasciandoci la colazione perché siamo partiti presto. Consiglio questo Riad.
• Erdjan (3/5): Friendly reception, terrible location. - The staff at the counter were friendly. Clean sheets and linen. The internal courtyard is visually nice. Location is awful, its right next to the palace but immediate location felt unsafe for families, area was full of demolished buildings and rubble, at night outside there was a smell of burnt plastic. The hair dryer had exposed cables. I'm used to backpacking in poorer locations around the world so when I say the area doesn't feel safe for a family it should be considered on that basis. No way should this Riyad have such a high rating, especially considering the other three amazing places we stayed in morocco.

• Alizee (9/5): Personnels chaleureux et tout est réuni pour un bin séjour à Marrakech - Personnels adorables et au petit soin. Petit déjeuner excellent sur la belle terrasse au dernier étage avec belle vue sur les hauteurs et les montagnes au loin. Transfert de l'aéroport organisé sur demande. Nous avons demandé un massage, ont fait le nécessaire rapidement pour faire venir la masseuse qui etait incroyable. Riad très bien situé. La literie pourrait être plus confortable
