Guest Reviews
- Suzanne (7/5): We would stay here again if traveling through town. - The room was clean and comfortable. Older motel but still safe and convenient location on our journey. We like to stay in motor inns where we park right in front of the room and there is not a second floor, and this fit that description perfectly. The room and bathroom were quite small, however they still had a microwave and small fridge.
- leticia (10/5): Nice place to take a rest! - Very quiet location. No loud neighbors. No complaints.
- Sue (9/5): -
- Tahnya (7/5): Basic, no frills roadside motel - Ready access to load and unload car into the room. Shortened trip to Ajo and Organ Pipe as opposed to Buckeye/Phoenix lodging. Owner nice. A place to walk my dog, a fridge and microwave. Extremely basic and unappealing interior of room, dark shower.
- Mary (10/5): always good - we always enjoy our stay at The Palms. Clean comfortable room, friendly staff, good location. We always walk to Little Italy pizza for delicious pizza.

- Brian (9/5): - Good location. Clean room. Great air conditioning.
- Wells (8/5): Excellent Clean, Convenient, Comfortable Roadside Motel with Pool - We needed a place to sleep, period. We are not picky and we have had good luck with single level roadside motels. This was no exception. We liked it and I would consider it safe for families and single travelers.
Bonus, we parked 8 feet from out front door. I love this for quick access and I didn’t need to unpack much.
Beds were exceptionally comfortable as was the bedding. No issues. We had our own pillows. Clean mattresses and zero indication of any bedbugs. I am extremely allergic so it’s always a concern. This room was spotless.
It’s seen its day of being a modern motel, but it was clean and served its purpose. Soap bars and. shampoo and conditioner was waiting for us. I can’t remember if the nightstand has a USB port because I had my own.
TV, AC, refrigerator, coffeemaker, toilet, sink, electric and water, all worked great.
Bistro table and chairs outside front door. Sweet! We could sit and eat.
No noise, very quiet. A distant barking dog and no noticeable traffic noise. Our windows were shut.
Looks like a nice pool to cool off, but we didn’t use it.
Ice machine is huge and we were able to fill up our tiny ice chest.
No stairs or dark hallways. ADA compliant from what I could tell.
Leave your key in box to check out. Receipt by email.
Friendly professional on site staff. Not lazy or creepy.
We stayed at the Desert Inn the night before in Van Horn and had the same experience. Price was similar. It’s a great spot to rest.
We ate at the only Italian restaurant in town run by real Sicilians. Friendly and delicious food. Fresh pizzas and a full menu. Not over-priced. Took home leftovers for breakfast.
Motel does offer snacks for breakfast, but we left early. Picked up coffee on the way out of town at McDonalds.
We spent a total of 15 hours there. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and plan to.
Safe travels everyone. The desert is beautiful!
- Barry (7/5): If you have to stop in the arse end of nowhere, then this place is just the spot. Cheap too. - Young man behind the reception was very friendly and helpful. Allowed me to check in at midday. Room was clean, had what i needed. Bed was comfy, hot water was hot. Only suggestion would be that the establishment would possibly benefit from having a laundry room for daily use. The local laundromat had 'run out of quarters'.
- Gerri (1/5): - Nothing The noise!
- Gary (9/5): -
Luidruchtig airco.
- Laura (8/5): -
- Jocelyn (7/5): Its ok for one night . The hotel was clean - It was clean , family own hotel . Receptionist was very accommodating I did not know its location is closed to the railway line and the highway , it was noisy .
- Sue (9/5): -
- Carlisa (5/5): I won’t stay there again. - Location was convenient to where I needed to go. Unresponsive staff, had to go to the office to get clean towels and ask to have room cleaned each day. Large fridge was nice, but no ice bucket in room and staff was pretty rude about requests . Ad states breakfast onsite, all it was a few packets of oatmeal, milk cereal and a few pastries. No toaster or other options.
- Sue (9/5): -
- Lulu en Hiver (8/5): Simple hotel, comfortable stay. - The location was convenient. Basic budget hotel room. It was clean and comfortable. We arrived after dark and left at sunrise, so we did not see much in the daylight. We booked here because breakfast was included. We rose around 7am and the lobby door was locked. There is a gas station nearby, so that ended up being our breakfast on the go.
- Michael (7/5): -
- Vincent (9/5): All good, I arrived late, the guy at the reception was very friendly. -
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Monika (7/5): - Es war insgesamt OK. Die Betten waren gut. Das Licht war insgesamt schwach.
- Janet (6/5): -
- Santos (10/5): - Highly recommended
- Sue (9/5): -
- Rick (6/5): - Clean rooms! Very disappointed the pool was not up and ready especially with 90*+ days at check in and check out? Missed two days of swimming which I was not informed ahead of time.
- Greg (7/5): Glad to have a place to stay after driving all day - Can drive up to the room and park Close to the train tracks and highway
- Larsen (10/5): - Easy in and out. Very comfortable room. Excellent staff. Left some clothes behind by mistake. Manager boxed them up and sent them to us. Definitely above and beyond service. Not a thing.
- Natasha (9/5): I will continue coming every year when I go through. I love this little place. - I love the people the place and the comfort. There was something spilled on a pillowcase and the top sheet. Probably a complete accident. Everything had clearly been washed so it may have happened after the fact.
- inna (9/5): -
- Sue (9/5): -
- Jessica (8/5): - Clean room. Bed was comfy. Nice size fridge in the room. The location worked well for visiting Organ Pipe Cactus national monument the next morning. The room was quieter than expected given proximity to the highway and truck stop. The coffee was very watery. Plan to stop at a gas station for your morning caffeine.
- Thomas W (7/5): Would stay there again! - Pleasant staff, very clean, no cockroaches! It's an old place, but they keep it clean!
- Bruce (8/5): -
- eduardo (6/5): -
- Sue (9/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exactly what we needed for a quick overnight stay -
- Sue (8/5): -
- Solvita (7/5): - Automašīnu var nolikt pie mājiņas durvīm. Blakus atrodas dzelzceļš.
- Pierce (7/5): -
- Gary (8/5): -
- David (3/5): The stay that fizzled - The staff was fairly quick in arranging alternative accommodation nearby. I arrived late in the evening and found that the staff somehow forgot to clean the room after the previous guests. Moreover, it turned out this was the last free room at the motel. The staff were at least flexible enough to get me a room in the neighboring Gila Bend Lodge [The room I got there was fine - but the Wi-Fi did not work (I had to use my own data connection) and the breakfast selection was very poor, limited to cereals and sweet pastries.]
- Damaris (10/5): -
- Randy (10/5): Friendly and courteous staff - Easy access to room
- Gary (9/5): Great stay. Little Italy restaurant was very good! - The staff was great! Location close to restaurants and gas stations. For the money it was awesome! Might go back there again on our way home back to Texas. All good!
- Jeff (8/5): Clean, quiet stay. - Comfortable bed. Good location. No coffee mug.
- Celaya (9/5): -
- Debbie (8/5): It was quiet and clean. - The room was clean and quiet. Our shower never got hot. It got pee warm the first morning and stayed cold the day we checked out. So no shower. Also the bathroom was out of toilet paper. I checked under the sink as well. I went to the office and rang the bell multiple times but no one came to the front. I ended up getting extra toilet paper from our son who was also staying at the motel.
- James (7/5): -
- Mowrer (10/5): - How clean Water pressure
Not enough
Needs more lights
- Rangel (7/5): - Cleanliness
- Mira (6/5): No other option in the area, but next time I will camp in the wild. - Not much, but clean. Breakfast included but not existing (if you call 1/2 gallon bottle of milk, few boxed juice individual containers, few yogurts, some cereal and half frozen pastries as breakfast …) The breakfast … by far one of the poorest seen.
- Renée (8/5): EVERYTHING WAS FINE - THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN. THE STAFF WAS POLITE AND I WAS GIVEN LATE CHECK OUT. NOTHING
- August (8/5): Not bad--I wouldn't mind staying here again. - No problems with wi-fi. Comfortable bed: mattress sufficiently firm, pillows neither too large and solid nor too limp and flimsy. Lighting in room OK for working at desk and reading in bed. Temperature control could've worked better: even with it set at 76°, room seemed cool. In-room coffee-maker was missing a part, and couldn't be used. Some vibration from passing trains.
- Sue (8/5): -
- Malmgren (10/5): Awesome 👍 - Awesome thanks All was good
- Cheryl (8/5): - Super clean.
- Rojas (9/5): -
- Ivonne (10/5): -
- Ledbetter-Andres (8/5): Room was clean, bed was comfortable, convent location. - It was easy to find, staff was nice, room and bathroom was clean, parking was very good, enjoyed our stay. There was no place to hang your clothes we had to leave our hang up clothes in the car and retrieve them in the morning to get dressed.
- Monica (2/5): N/A will never stay their again - The beds The breakfast they promote for the stay and they only have cold cereal and all cold foods no one their. I was expecting a nice warm breakfast was very disappointed plus the building looks very old in the room a lot of rusted parts in bathroom
- Nina (10/5): -
- Sue (8/5): -
- Julianne (4/5): - Location Wifi was useless. It was so weak it wouldn't even show up as a choice to log in at first. When it finally did, it was so slow I couldn't even check email. One of the reasons I tried this place was previous "reviews" claiming fast internet. Not true at all.
- Carl (4/5): - Parking was close to your room, quiet Advertised as very good with good breakfast. I was disappointed with both
- Heidi (9/5): - ?[ ?
- Gary (9/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- Sue (9/5): -
- Paul Eisel (5/5): - Good location Good price Dog barking at 4am , wasn't able to get much sleep.
- Mowrer (10/5): - How everything was clean and quiet The freezer was dirty
- Estrella Reede (9/5): It was a decent price and the bed was comfortable. - The Breakfast could have been more of a variety and the location was to closed in. You had to take your continental breakfast back to your room. The location could be a little more bigger. Have some bagels and cream cheese. That the pool was open but it was just to cold to swim. Also no vending machine around to get a quick drink or snack. And a little more light around the motel. One last thing was our closet still had dirt on the shelf. The phone didn't work.
- Toni (10/5): The visit to Palms Inn was great, check in was fast, my room was comfortable, quiet and clean. - Clean and convenient.
- Norman (8/5): -
- Sue (8/5): -
- John (6/5): - Cute little motel with easy access. NO HOT WATER !!
- Kuse (9/5): Often stay here because of its location in my travel - Courteous professional family run place Othing
- Heffentrager (8/5): friendly staff, comfortable, clean room, great value- what we were looking for -
- Sue (9/5): -
- Ruthe (5/5): good price but room reallly small - the metal sides around the bed made “drum” sound every time we accidentally hit them.
