Friendly hostess who explained the town layout and where to buy food and where nice walks and beaches were. She also recommended a fantastic fish restaurant which we went to. Very convenient for the whale watching boats and a headland you could watch whales from. Beautiful area.

Nous partagions une salle de bain et ça s'est déroulé sans souci. La douche est petite. On retournera sûrement au Gîte si nous retournons à Tadoussac!

The bedroom was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the lake. Even though we had a shared bathroom, it was always clean and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable. The host was truly exceptional—warm, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home and brighten your day with their kindness and energy. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel. The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to the heart of Tadoussac. We can’t recommend this place enough. If you're visiting Tadoussac, Gîte au Vieux Pommier is the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and warm hospitality. - three of kind
• Vidya (4/5): Careful - very disappointing - I booked this after trusting the comments on the platform. This place is clearly having management issues and they are struggling to make ends meet. First you need to phone a local number (not all tourists have local plans) to have someone come to check you in. After a long drive the last thing you need is wait for 15min for someone to arrive. Apparently they are overwhelmed with work… Second, even if there is no breakfast, coffee would be nice. There is only some really vile cheap tea. What kind of place calls themselves « Café Couette » (Bed and Breakfast) and offers no coffee? We had booked two rooms with river view. The owner said he would find us two rooms together and let us have a bathroom just for us (albeit outside) for an extra $20 per night. I wanted to check that the two new rooms would still have a river view - he never replied. We were indeed given two rooms next to each other - one with a « river view » which was more like a street view and another wi the garden view. The « private bathroom «  was being used by other guests too. When told, the owner said I had to remind the guests who were aware. It is not my job to do this. The owner and his wife kept asking us for the extra $20 from the minute we arrived. Very disagreeable. They had downgraded us! The place is clean but is really basic. Tadoussac is expensive so this place appears like a steal. For the price of 2 rooms here we had a two bedroom apartment with copious breakfast in the centre of Montreal!

This is a great little spot in the heart to Tadoussac within walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants, excursions etc. The hostess was very welcoming and you can tell she takes pride in everything she does. She gave us tips on things to do and places to go and she or her family was there is we needed anything. We were away from home but it felt like we were still at home to some degree. This little treasure was a nice find, clean and comfortable and we would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking to visit Tadoussac.

• Sammie (10/5): - Fabuleux milieu de séjour! Le personnel est chaleureux, à l'image du gite! L'endroit est très propre et l'ambiance paisible. Qui plus est, l'emplacement est a proximité de tout, donc nul besoin de rechercher un stationnement pour profiter des restaurants et attraits touristiques. Mon conjoint et moi recommandons cet endroit sans hésitation!

Nous avons partagé la salle de bain avec la chambre voisine et ça n'a pas été problématique, parfois un peu d'attente le soir ou le matin juste.
• Alan (10/5): - Gite au Vieux Pommier was the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful town of Tadoussac. The gracious hosts made us feel welcome in the shared living spaces and the updated rooms offered every amenity we could have hoped for. The hotel is conveniently located and allowed us to easily walk to the harbour front, Hotel Tadoussac and the Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre. If you are thinking about visiting Tadoussac, I highly recommend Gite Au Vieux Pommier, as you certainly will not be disappointed.

The description at time of booking said breakfast was included, which was our main reason for booking this over others. It is actually a paid breakfast ($~50) at a location a short drive away. That said, the host was lovely and the space was very clean and central to Tadoussac. Just needs an updated description!

• Alan (10/5): Un grand merci pour votre accueil - Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les hôtes ! L'endroit est très propre et la chambre très jolie ! Nous avons pu nous installer dans le salon pour y passer la soirée et un petit déjeuner copieux nous a été proposé à 5’ à pied.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Etwas trutschig, aber okay. Toller Blick - Kein Check-in, was normalerweise nicht so schlimm ist. Aber wenn an der Tür nur ein halb zerknüllter Zettel auf französisch hängt, der u.a. eine Telefonnummer beinhaltet, man selbst aber keinen Dataplan für Canada hat, muss man sich was einfallen lassen - bei Regen. Also über die Straße in ein Restaurant (mit Zimmer), das von nix weiß, aber freundlicherweise anruft. Nach ein paar Minuten erscheint eine Frau, die einen kurz einweist und wieder verschwindet. Wir hatten Zimmer no.5...das einzige mit eigenem Bad. Also Vorsicht beim Buchen! Das Haus ist sehr sehr hellhörig. Die einzigen Mitbewohner "beschwerten" sich doch glatt, weil wir gegen 7h los mussten - und zwar leise. Die Ausstattung ist sehr trutschig. Kein Kaffeekocher. Keine Klimaanlage. Man kann eine allgemein zugängliche Veranda nutzen, von der man einen guten Blick auf die Bucht hat. Sahen sogar Belugawale (wenn auch nur Stecknadel groß).

• Verified traveler (8/5): Toller Blick...aufpassen welches Zimmer man bucht - Das Haus ist eine einfache, aber angenehme Unterkunft. Achtung: es gibt Zimmer ohne Bad...das Zimmer (no. 5) MIT Bad verfügt über einen tollen Ausblick auf den St.-Laurenz-Strom, wovon man tatsächlich auch Belugawale sehen kann...natüüüürlich ist es besser schnell runter ans Wasser zu gehen - dann sieht man sie noch besser. Kleiner Nachteil: keine "Rezeption"...nur ein Zettel auf Französisch an der Tür, das man jemand anrufen soll. Macht vor allem dann keinen Spaß, wenn man im strömenden Regen ankommt und für einen Anruf im Ausland hohe Gebühren zahlen muss. Trotzdem: empfehlenswert

Un bon souvenir qui rattrape une croisière aux baleines décevante.

Même si c'était la fin de la saison et que la dame etait charmante, il aurait été plus courtois de prévenir avant plutot que de nous mettre devant le fait accompli concernant ce changement d'hôtel

Be aware that some rooms have a shared bathroom. We didn’t notice while booking, so that was a bit of a surprise upon arrival, but for one night it was ok. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you!

• Flavien (10/5): Logement Croisieres a Tadoussac - Hote tres accueillainte et hyper arrangeante. Nous etions arrives un peu en retard et sans avoir pu appele fute de reseau sur la route des fjords.Et celle-ci nous a tout de même fais un petit speech de presentation et astuces/recommendations pour la ville de Tadoussac. Si vous faites une croisiere le matin nous avions pus laisser le vehicule au logement, ce qui etait tres pratique ! Le gite est bien situé(10-15 min a pied des croisieres)

• John (8/5): - The decor and ambience, along with the hospitality and cleanliness, are very good. Our room had a balcony right adjacent that looked out on the St. Lawrence. Pictures are somewhat deceptive - the buildings they show as visible from there, are not. Artisanal and somewhat eccentric furnishings, but some things are not maintained well - eg bathroom window that was half hanging loose and wouldn’t close. Slightly annoying that they insist on only eating at the main common room dining table, but provide nothing there except a fridge, water and kettle. If all this is okay with you, I would recommend it, but research other places nearby as there are many.

The hostress told us we had until 11ham and to leave the keys in the door to let the cleaner know we were gone. It was around 10ham and we still were in the room, door closed. Really not professional.

• LOUISE (8/5): - Nobody was there when we arrived. There was a note on the door to call someone and a nice lady finally arrived. The matress was not comfortable, it is nota B&B. You can't even make yourself a cup of coffee. There is towels in the room but none in the share bathroom to use.

I have grown accustomed to an open en suite bathroom and this time shared with several others, not ideal. If breakfast had been included I would have given this place a 5/5. The only bakery in town was closed and other breakfast options are limited. Over all the best place in town to stay! Thank you.

Auncune serviette à main dans la salle de bain. Le déjeuner n'est pas inclus. $15 à un autre endroit par le même propriétaire. Aucun café sur place. Endroit chaleureux, belle décoration, bon accueil et explications du propriétaire. Madame très avenante.
• mélanie (10/5): - Réservation faite au Gîte cependant les membres du personnel nous ont déplacé à l'auberge maison Gagné ( qui leur appartient aussi ) après avoir réalisé que ma chambre réservée ne convenait pas au besoin de mon voyage ! Il se sont donc mis en 4 à 24h de la réservation pour pouvoir m'offrir une chambre même si c'était mon erreur d'avoir choisis la mauvaise chambre lors de ma réservation ! Alors je leur laisse ici une bonne note pas sur le Gîte en soit puisque je n'y est pas résider mais sur le personnels qui sont vraiment très gentils et très accommodant !!! Une super équipe !! MERCI !!
