• Matias (3/5): Horror under the bed - Location and Tuk Tuk Tour service (Sam was great). A/C was OK, roof fan included! It's better if I list them: - Bed sheets. Many stains - Bathroom - Dust in the facilities - Spider nets and dust also inside of the wardrobe - Dust in the baggage support - Dust in the head of the bed - Flush not working properly - TV just for decoration. Of course old one, but it was one of the few things without dust! - Minifridge smelly - I'm tolerant (my girlfriend not) and I'm very serious when writing that was terror under the bed. Ps. I looked there just because I was hunting a bug.

• Yvonne (8/5): Very good - Complimentary wifi, room comes with a mini fridge, complimentary water, all surfaces well dusted , floor , bathroom cleaned, mopped and rinsed. Towels , linens clean and well rinsed. I prefer wooden furnishings over plastic/ particle board/ metal. Pleased.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Check other hotel options - Only nice thing about the hotel is beautiful furniture. No toilet paper, no hot water in my room. The faucet is so close to sink that i couldnt wash my hands without touching the sink.

No blackout curtains Toiletries low Overall, I will go back. Only for sleep. Price is perfect for that.

• Ryan (10/5): Great stay. - Enjoyed staying at this hotel. Received water daily, bed was comfortable, great ceiling fan since I paid for no A/C. Wi-fi worked great. Friendly staff. Good area to stay in with some decent places really close but can also walk 5-10 minutes to some of the areas with more restaurants and cafes. Would stay here again.

• Daniel (10/5): Happy to stay - The room of the hotel was well maintained and spacious. The young lady receptionist was nice and friendly.
• Joanne (8/5): A little out of the way but easy to get tuk tuk - The hotel seemed to be in more of an industrial area, but easy to access tuk tuks to take you elsewhere. Tuk tuk are very reasonably priced to. We were given our tuk tuks name and phone number when he dropped us off on arrival. The next day the hotel called him for us but he was unavailable so sent his friend. His friend Peter from Battambang Handicraft Tours was excellent and we hired him for the next two full days. Hotel does not have elevators and there are a lot of stairs. We were up on the third floor. 67 stairs every time we went up. We’re older, so I at least found that difficult mulitple times a day. Hallways are NOT air conditioned. We did have an air conditioned room which worked well. Also had hot water shower. Shower is open to the whole bathroom so floor and toilet get soaked. Got the not to be missed circus tickets from the front desk. Front desk was also very helpful with all out questions.

• Isabel (8/5): Great place! - Asia Hotel was great! The staff were nice and able to answer all my questions and requests. Location is conveniently fat enough for some tranquility yet close enough to walk just about anywhere.
• Verified traveler (6/5): One really rude receptionist - When we first arrived, the lady at reception asked us if we would like to upgrade to ac/hot water. We had declined. She then charged us for it anyways and have us an ac room despite our reluctance. When we complained and got our money back, she was pretty rude and nasty to us for the rest of our stay. The other employees were friendly though. The room had ants in it and not the cleanest, but we managed. The location is really nice. Make sure you take a Mekong Express bus in and out of Battambang add the others drop you off elsewhere and ME is just two blocks away

Nice firm bed, with very clean bed sheets. A/C. Motorbike rental (good motorbike). Highly recommended.
• martin (8/5): good value, very clean - Room was spacy, high ceiling. Interior partly old but mainly in good shape. Only the bath is tiny and the bath door a bit out of angle but still astonishing clean. Roomfloors are tiles what makes it easy to clean but not so cosy. Location is okay since two markets, bus and boat stations and cooking classes only one to 5 min on foot away. The real touristic center is a bit further (1km?), staff helped happily by recommending and organizing tours. You may be awate of booking with or without aircon and hot or cold shower, but fan worked fine, window was to open to quiet side.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Uncomfortable experience - Yes it’s cheap but extremely uncomfortable in the rooms. No windows and they smell. Front counter staff were rude too.

• Donna (6/5): Battambang base. - Clean and comfortable with friendly, attentive staff, unfortunately wifi not very good if working at all at times. A good base to access tourist spots such as the Bamboo train which is worth a visit and the bat/killing caves (heartwrenching stuff)...

Good price, friendly staff, and breakfast available in hotel. Decent size room, but have to pay extra for air-con and hot water. Manager allowed us to have late check-out, which was helpful. Would stay there again.
• Leslie (8/5): Good price for good quality - Great stay, the staff was reactive and very polite! The room was big and clean and was cleaned every day. However the wifi was poor in our floor.
• Aslom (8/5): A decent place - we stayed here for one night and it was a clean and comfy place. The lady in charge was excellent and her knowledge and helpfulness was excellent. The only disappointment was that the bathroom is really small and showering in there means everything gets wet.

• Micael (10/5): Very clean and good value for money. - My room was very spacious and immaculately clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a 5-minute walk to the central market and the main area with bars and restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 nights stay. I would stay there again.
• Stephanie (10/5): Great hotel!!! - We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and spacious. The wifi worked great as did the air con. The staff was very friendly (as always) and we even extended our stay another night with no problem at all. The area is quiet but still close to many restaurants and sights. Only improvement could be softer beds and making sure to clean out the fridge. We would definitely recommend staying here!
• Juliana (6/5): Budget hotel in Battambang - You pay for what you get. Nothing fancy but it's decent for a one night stay. The room did not have AC (I opted for a room with fan) so I would recommend getting the one with AC - it costs a bit more but worth it. Staff was super friendly and helped me get transportation to the bat caves and bamboo train. I was also able to book a bus to Siem Reap at the front desk.

• Shane (2/5): Worst hotel experience with a nasty arrogant manag - We booked a 2 rooms with air conditioning and when we arrived they told us we only booked rooms with a fan. I showed them the reservation which clearly shows it was a air conditioned room and they still wouldn't honour it. After a lot of arguing we finally agreed to pay half the difference. The manager was very rude and abrupt. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
• WAYNE (8/5): Good value, location & room. - Good central location, 5-8 minutes walk from the central market. Staff friendly & helpful, room cleaned daily & is a good size. Bathroom very clean but no hot water - having said that it was so refreshing at the end of a hot day it wasn't a problem!
• Ann (8/5): Battambang Hotel - I really enjoyed my stay at the Asia Hotel.They served a nice breakfast that wasn't too dear. It was very handy for reaching the riverside night food stalls. Only thing missing was a swimming pool.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Worst experience of my life - Let me list all of the issues: Room was on the 4th floor & since heat rises, it was quiet uncomfortable even with the fan because when on, the fan made a loud noise that would have been enough to keep anyone up, but I had ear plugs with me so I was able to eventually fall asleep. However, that did not matter because at 5am, there began a sound that I can only compare to hammers being thrown, one at a time, onto a tin roof in a very repetitive manner. When I went to request a room change, there was no one to be found at the desk. When I found the employee, we could not communicate because of the language barrier. In addition to room being loud & hot there was a used ashtray in the non-smoking room, the bed was on the opposite side of the room from the fan so no air flow, there were no toiletries beyond 1 bar of hand soap. Not even toilet paper, there was no warm water, no in-room safe, no min-fridge or kettle, no private balcony, there was what looked like a balcony, but the door to it was sealed shut, the room did not lock from the outside. It was such a horrific experience that I went upstairs, booked a different hotel, & walked out of this hotel. Hotels.com has yet to respond to my complaints & I find it quite reflective of the customer service that hotels.com provides. I will not be using this site or staying at that hotel ever again.
• John (8/5): A Good Deal - This hotel isn't anything amazing, but it's very comfortable and in a very good location, especially for the price. The restaurant is pretty good and the staff were very friendly. It's close to the river front, buses to Siemp Reap and Phnom Penh as well as the central market and lots of good restaurants and shops. All in all a good deal
• Verified traveler (4/5): Not a nice hotel - The shower was literally over the toilet in a tiny bathroom so small you could hardly move. The wifi was average. the bed sheets were dirty and the bed had ants on it.

• CHUNG (8/5): Nice hotel, good stay - I only stayed 2 nights in battambang, but had an good stay in a non A/C room. Initially there were a few mosquitos in the room. In fairness to the hotel, it's a common problem in tropical countries and I never mentioned it. It was kind of enjoyable smashing my all too often tormentors. The fan room is inadequate for the type of weather in Battambang. This isn't actually the hotel's fault as I could've booked an A/C room. That aside, the room is large and comfortable, desk chairs etc, had a nice comfortable bed and all the amenities that I need as a backpacker e.g. good working WiFi, fridge. The staff are just amazing, friendly, helpful and very customer oriented. A guest left behind a considerable sum of money and it was handed in by one of the maids. The sum would've been several time her monthly salary. That kind of behaviour just totally amazes me. Location wise, there's restaurants, convenience store and (very large) local market within easy walking distance and Capitol Bus station for buses to Phnom Penh. Would stay again, albeit not in a fan room.
• Jean-Baptiste (8/5): Good option in Battambang (low price range) - Our stay was alright. Friendly staff and room was correct. Hotel is located in the north, a 5-10 min walk from the city centre. Bus companies offices are next to the hotel.
