Guest Reviews
- Junaid (10/5): - The ambience, staff, room service, food and the landscape everything was wonderful.
Please upgrade your wifi service as I had hard time connecting my office laptop.
- Kiran (6/5): - The property is old and not renovated for last 20 yrs. Though clean, the bathroom are antique and coffin shaped. Also ventilation in bathrooms is poor. Cigarette smoke smell from adjacent bathrooms enter in your bathroom and room. Cleaning needs to be done outside the window area as well. We could see cigarette butts and garbage from the window. The games section is enclosed without any ventilation; just the exhaust fans are there. After sometime you will feel suffocating due to lack of air and no air conditioning. Parking is congested and mostly not available near main lobby. The only good point is the location and closeness to view point. The property is large and overall well maintained. Rooms were clean but heavy air freshner was used which was causing headache. Breakfast spread is ok.
- Manvendra Singh (8/5): - Nice roadside property in Panchgani. Good spacious room with all amenities like spa, saloon, playing area, and kids play area. They have beautiful garden and valley viewing points. You don’t need to go outside to any other valley viewing points. Restaurant food is also good with valley-facing seating. Overall, nice stay experience and value for money.
My only suggestion to them is to replace the old AC’s in the premium deluxe rooms, which make noise in this quite serene environment.
If anyone is booking valley-viewing rooms here, please make sure you call the property and check about the same, as all rooms are not valley-facing.
- Salome (10/5): - Really enjoyed our weekend at the Ravine..the breakfast had great options every day and the food quality is excellent! The staff is very courteous and attentive ! Views from the valley view room are fantastic! Overall a very good place to have a nice, relaxing holiday! We would definitely visit again!
- Sanjit kumar (10/5): - It was really good from all perspective. Hospitality, amenities , Food and cleanliness , all are top class.
- Andalib (10/5): MD Barbaros An unforgettable experience 👍 - I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels n they too have kind n very helpful but the kind of humbleness n kindness n hospitality I n my family friends received here was just unforgettable the staff were so soft in nature n very helpful no matter whatever the time b in the middle of the night too they were at our beck n call - Special mention of Mr Hasan n Sardarsh both were extremely helpful - We all loved our stay n well surely look forward to come back - Miss U MD Barbaros
- Sushant (10/5): - Superb hotel at a very nice location.
- Sukhjinder Singh (10/5): Good Stay - Overall good experience. Nice ambience.
- Rini (8/5): - It was amazing. The room and the view was as expected. The food was also great.
- Vikram (10/5): Amazing Ravine! - It was an amazing experience to stay in Hotel Ravine! The hospitality, room service, housekeeping and restaurant everything was excellent. The staff gave us a warm welcome and took good care of us. The property has indoor games like carrom, table tennis and pool as well as outdoor tennis courts. We visited during rainy season and would like to visit again in winter and summer.
- Bharat (6/5): - We stayed in Villa which is few minutes away from the hotel, the condition of the the Villa was good, however there is power back up and sometimes the electricity goes for 5 hours and the hotel has no solution to offer. The food is very average and avoidable.
- Mayank (8/5): Thank you, Ravine! - Room and its view very comfortable 5/5. Melting Point 4.5/5 (breakfast spread can be enhanced). Play area for 2-year old 5/5. Staff courtesy and responsiveness 5/5.
Only missing piece: swimming pool too small, dirty 1/5. With so much land that Ravine possesses, they should come up with a new, larger, sun-facing pool.
- NirmalRawtani (8/5): - We stayed 1 to 3rd May 2019. Room views are excellent and hotel is new market. Staff and restaurant staff is very helpful and cooperative
Swimming pool is very small (only namesake and not so clean
Parking is ample
Room service is very good
Slight Improvement needed on cleanliness
- Shyamal (10/5): - It’s direct connection with the nature... we mesmerised with the beautiful view from our room... it was totally a superb experience. Really appreciate the overall structure and idea of the property... we were in tent and could easily see the nature’s beauty right from our bed... the sound of the night bees was another superb experience and feeling was like we are sleeping in the open forest...
- Sumit (10/5): - We stayed at tent 504. It is very private with a nice sitout overlooking the valley. The breakfast was also great.
- Narayan (8/5): Comfortable stay. - Nice weather. Chilled and Windy climate. Comfortable stay and nice food of the hotel.
- priyanka (4/5): stay Experience - We have stayed in this hotel in past as well & recommended to our other friends also. But conditions now have got detorieted badly. prices shown on expedia were 3500 on promotional page, by the time we completed the payment it bacame 7500....It was so misleading....
- Hardik (4/5): Lack of staff and hospitality issues - A snapshot of my experience at Ravine:
1. No gatekeeper to help escort a guest on arrival/help with any luggage
2. Under age children working as room service guys
3. Stinking bathroom on arrival
4. Had to ask for toiletries instead of being provided beforehand, as per the hotel it was made available only on customers request
Overall location and view from the hotel is good
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay !! - The villa seemed to have no generator backup and hence we decided to stay in hotel rooms instead of villa. Overall it was comfortable stay.
Mgmt should avoid listing villa as the hotel property in case the basic amenities like generator backup are not available.
- Girish (8/5): Nice hotel with Spa facility - Hotel Ravine is located near Sydney Point.
Spa facility is good.We enjoyed our stay at Hotel.food quality is good.
- Lalina (10/5): The best and beautiful stay - It was extremely amazing, everything about Ravine was extremely comforting and beautifully maintained. We loved the stay and would definitely recommend this to our families and friends.
- Ranjit Singh (8/5): - Overall Good Experience.. Rooms are clean but very small & toilets are too small too..
- chinnappa (8/5): Great view lovely place - Had a great stay. A little modernisation to stsy with the times. Loved Panchgani
- SANDEEP (10/5): Amazing Ravine - Experience was amazing. Food was very good especially spread of breakfast.
- Aarnav (4/5): Way past its prime - Good location and landscaping. Interiors are dated and lack of cleanliness shows. Patio window glass had hand prints all over, several cockroaches on the table and in bathroom, Internet was terrible (loading single page took minutes). Room service was fast.
- Shailesh (6/5): Except for few things, Good. - Service was good, staff was courteous, food was good so also local area, Thing I was not happy was room, most rooms of 4 size people had two washrooms barring few, ours was having only one and it becomes problematic when you have 81 years old guest in those four and especially when photos of the room on the website shows two washrooms & much more spacey then the one we actually got. Swimming pool was much smaller than expected & wifi was having limited data. The problematic things above could not be understood from website.
- Aniket (10/5): Hotel with a pleasant valley view - Superb Ambience, good food and value for money. It was a pleasant experience and the staff too is helpful.
- Amit (10/5): Best hotel Panchagani - Amazing place to stay. Extremely courteous staff, clean rooms and lots of space for kids to play around. Good food as well . Complete family oriented motel
- RAVI (8/5): - Beautiful hotel in a lovely location.Nicely maintained with lots of greenery and lovely tennis court.Good food.
- Nitin (8/5): The Best Hotel (only) in Pangani - The rooms smell of Urine and some rooms don't have good connectivity to the hotel's wi-fi nor to the cell phone range.
- Sarfaraz M (8/5): Fantastic view - Excellent location of the hotel. Please book the rooms with valley views, it just gives you a fantastic view of the valley, mountains and the Krishna river right from your balcony.. I have stayed in many hotels but the room service, especially the ordered food used to come in hardly 10-15 mins which was really nice. one thing they can improve on is on the options in buffet breakfast.. please try out the Spa, they have some really good therapies..Overall a fabulous stay
- Kamlesh (10/5): Place for Pleasant stay & Relax - Nice Greenery Maintain by Hotel Owners
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location with few things which can be improv - Location is Excellent. The property is huge and very beautiful. Beds were not comfortable - seemed that these were old spring mattresses which needed repairs or replacement. Bathrooms had a small bathing area which was not comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good.
- Satish (6/5): Great location. Good food. AC non functional - Cleanliness & AC functioning were issues during our stay. Food was good and service was mostly prompt.
- Shekar (8/5): Panoramic view from the hotel - This Hotel is located on the way to Mahabaleshwar. Check in was smooth. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food was nice though a little bit on the higher side. there is renovation work going on which somewhat spoils the stay to a certain extent. This property is quite huge. the view from the property is wonderful overlooking river krishna surrounded by the mountains making it look like postcard. They have 4 official size tennis courts, play area for kids, spa services. Overall a very satisfying stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing
- D Nair (6/5): One stop vacation - Great location, superb views and recreational facility - no need to go anywhere for sightseeing etc.Good spa and salon, excellent kids play zones, tennis courts, pool table and sunset viewing deck. Pool is small and not well maintained. Hotel seems to be under renovation. Breakfast buffet is great- a well thought of menu, special kid treats with a sweet ending desert option too. However service is slow. If maintained better this can be an ideal one stop vacation. However was disappointed with the rate dispute- hotel did not agree to rate for kids promised by Expedia through which booking was done.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent view from this good hotel. - Good, well-maintained hotel. Good breakfast. Excellent view. Rather stingy 150MB daily free internet allowance and windows needed cleaning inside due to children's finger prints all over, but otherwise quite fine.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Awesome stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ravine panchgani - The hotel doesn't have a. Balcony as the construction is still going on.. Ventilation for the fresh air is a big problem in this hotel as it's understandable because it's build some years back.. bathroom doensnt have a hand shower which was a big let down for me.. in all the cottages or tents are fabulous if u book them apart from hotel rooms.. hotel rooms are good but bathroom needs to be modernized.. food is excellent as we loved it.. hotel location is amazing and open spaces are also good ..Place in all - looking at other hotels in same area is good ..
- laxmikant (8/5): Wonderful location, very clean and nicely maintain - We enjoyed stay here. Nice fresh look and feel very close Sydney point walk gave great morning walk pleasure. Food here is amazing so you don't have to look outside for it. Staff is very generous. Overall thumbs up from us
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was nice but they gave us a very compact corner room and said that all others are full.
- Rakhi (6/5): nice property, bad staff and cleanliness probkem - Amazing view, fantastic food, but staff has huge attitude. Only captain of the restaurant Mr. Kartik is very friendly and polite. And how can I forget Mr. Akhilesh( waiter) he thinks he is Akhilesh Yadav.(If u get it) Lady at reception counter has no idea how to talk to guests. Publice area toilet is very dirty.
- Verified traveler (6/5): decent but should be more professional - The hotel has decent facilities but the arrangement must improve . Shower in the rather small bathroom is wrongly placed and has no curtain or partition . When used it wets the entire bathroom
BF spread is OK but ready made tea and coffee are terrible . Why make it ready made with too much milk ( which has gone sour) and sugar . Pl keep all the items separate like most decent hotels do
- Ashish Kumar (8/5): - it was good experience to stay in Ravine hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): The location of the hotel is picturesque. - There were issues with privacy and the quality of the rooms. The bathrooms are not nice and we thought the price we paid was just not worth it.
- Audumbar (4/5): Good Location, Pathetic Service - The location of the hotel is pure beauty. Decor is woderful. Pathetic room service mostly uneducated waiters with long faces making favour on us. Food is woefully short of expectation. No local cuisine available. We had to go out and eat. No room service with food I had to plead with them as my partner was ill. Mood got spoilt with constant shouting. Useless WiFi. Password comes after only 3 to 4 phone calls and when half stay is over. The best location but poorest service.
- Dr Rajiv (8/5): Wonderfully maintained hotel. - Ravine is superbly located and wonderfully maintained with a caring staff. The breakfast was great for a 3-star, though cold cuts need to be better and more varied. The bathrooms and beds were comfortable, the rooms well-appointed.
Yes, the ACs and remotes for them need to be modified as they cannot be well-controlled. When the hotel is renovated next, they should be better located.
The room service was good and the tariff for both room and F&B reasonable. We stayed for 2 nights and as per our feedback to Expedia and through them to the hotel we were immediately offered a better room (in terms of AC and location) for no extra cost for day 2, which was sweet.
We also loved the location of the tent rooms being designed at a lower level and the artificial surroundings created of real birds, a pond, a waterfall and a private pool,
- Nishant (6/5): Good food (dinner) though... - Nice room. The setting with two double beds on two levels (mezzanine kinds) was awesome and cozy. Perfect for three adults. While it was supposed to be a hill view room, the view was blocked by a big tree. Construction going on meant dust, concrete mix, labour all around, could not open windows to enjoy the fresh air... many tennis courts meant lesser space and landscape available for a leisurely walk around the property. Breakfast can improve a lot. Especially the service available there...
Tourist points - Table Land, Parsi Point, Panchgani market- good experiences. Drive to Mahabaleshwar very good. Lots of eating joints offering tasty sandwiches, and typical Maharashtrian food. Maori garden visit absolutely worth it! Must visit.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good property needing a makeover - The property is amazing. We were a little disappointed with the rooms, which definitely needs to be upgraded. The bathroom needs a major makeover. The staff is really courteous!
